I actually like coming to this CVS out of all the ones I've been to in Stamford. The checkout process is quick (and they have self checkout stations). The store is always clean and organized. Everything is usually in stock (depending on the COVID situation when it comes to cleaning products but that's every where). I really have no complaints about this particular CVS. I only gave 4 stars because prices tend to be a bit high on certain things that I know are normally cheaper elsewhere. But that's typical for all CVS locations. There's plenty of parking and it's convenient for the location. read more

This is about CVS customer service for trying to get help on a multi vitamin order which does not go through and online rep after getting disconnted on the phone 3 times transferred me to a Manager named Dan who I just asked a simple question as a senior citizen as the order doesn't go through & they are charging for delivery with an order over $40 and either he disconnected me on purpose or the phones have a transfer issue. I will not order online on CVS again and will keep all my business to Walgreens who I have great expereince both online and in house. read more

Every time I go pickup my prescription @ the CVS on 66 High Ridge Road there is an Indian ethnicity pharmacist named SAMIYA & her Co-workers Tech Julian both of them are so rude & have an attitude and a nasty face towards me all the time. they are not friendly with customers, give me hard time, and make me wait for an hour helping other customers with a smile. I would give 0 rating for this pharmacist's behavior, I suggest CVS should educate them on how to behave and help customers more instead of behaving in a nasty manner & having an arrogant attitude... if this continues CVS will lose business... big time... read more

Just had a horrible interaction with Ali. At first I thought he wasn't very competent and didn't know what to do, Well, I still think that. Then he completely dismissed my issue, and acted in a rude and disrespectful way. I actually feel like I was discriminated against based on my gender or ethnicity. I don't know how to explain it, but anyone who has had such experience can understand. The store is actually a pretty decent CVS location, but now I will avoid it. Just wow. So I quickly stopped in here this morning since I had a $10 off coupon on your beauty purchase. I figured I was in the need of some new eye shadow as I was running out and this would be perfect. I ran in, grabbed a $12 eyeshadow palette and proceeded to the check out where there was a line starting to form. A sweet old lady in the front of the line who was honestly lost, didn't know what an ID was, how her plenti points worked (isn't Plenti a RiteAid thing?), etc. Then there were also two other women ahead of me. The one cashier uses the intercom to call for backup. A man (I'm thinking the manager as he is dressed differently) eventually shows up to be the second cashier and seems annoyed he was called. He takes one of the women in front of me. She goes to purchase a People magazine and a 20 oz Coke. She quickly leaves the store before her receipt can print out. This super annoys the manager cashier and he states "She can't just do that, she needs this receipt!" and runs out of the store to catch her to hand the receipt. Um, clearly she was in a hurry and after having to wait to check out, she wanted to bolt. The original cashier #1 helps me check out and my eyeshadow normally $11.99, comes to $2.12. Score. That entitled manager man needs to chill, it's 8am buddy. read more

***This review is strictly for the pharmacy*** What a nightmare. Sadly, there aren't a ton of options for a pharmacy in the area so I'm stuck using this one for my prescriptions. This pharmacy is a complete and total joke. Do the employees not understand what their job description is? Are they confused about the fact that they are there to answer questions, fill prescriptions and handle extremely sensitive products that customers need? Prescriptions can be a matter of life and death- it's unacceptable that they're constantly out of stock or back ordered for prescriptions. It's totally unacceptable that they seem disinterested in doing their jobs and seem put out when they're asked to perform a task that is in their job description. It's unacceptable that the customer has to tell them what they need to do and not to do. It's unacceptable that the wait times are long and no one seems able to give the bare minimum in customer service. It's totally absurd to me that the pharmacist never seems available and I'm constantly dealing with inept pharmacy assistants. I've hesitated to leave this review for a long time because there are exactly 2 people working at the pharmacy who seem equipped and knowledgeable. They make the experience a bit more bearable but I've only dealt with them on 2 or 3 occasions. Everyone else....useless. They make the experience exhausting, frustrating and infuriating. And it's the exhausting employees with the biggest attitudes and resistance to doing their jobs that seem to be the ones always working! I'd like to say that management needs to step in...but it's clear there is no management! And we're all at the mercy of this place b/c we need our medication. Even my insurance company finds this place laughable. STEP IT UP. --- Anyway, the store itself is fine. Nicely organized, they've gotten rid of a bizarre urine smell that used to permeate the air and the staff at the front is always helpful. I wish I could put zero stars! I have been using this CVS pharmacy since it opened. The pharmacy service is horrible! Every time I call I have to wait over 40 minutes to speak to a pharmacist. doctors have also told me that they have a really hard time with this pharmacy. Today I spoke to Eric, was extremely rude and disrespectful. The only pharmacist who is extremely helpful and knowledgeable is Lucas! Talking about the store, it isVery organized and the staff is wonderful and super helpful. For the store, I can give it a 5 stars! My problem is with the pharmacy! read more

The best part about this CVS is that its 24 hours, including the pharmacy. Its the biggest store in Stamford and it still manages to have that new store smell when you walk in. Customer service isn't that great but I guess you can't expect much at 6 in the morning. read more

I wish I could give zero stars, but no option for that. I have been coming to this pharmacy since Feb 2018. I tried to give them a chance, but they just keep screwing things up royally. I can forgive stupidity and incompetence (even from grown ass adults that are supposed to be health care providers), but I draw the line when the pharmacist gets nasty when you catch them in an outright lie. Not to mention that they are woefully understaffed, especially on weekends. I sat outside the drive thru window for a half hour on my way back from surgery waiting for my painkillers because I couldn't walk into the store. Then tried calling the store and waited 45 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. If this was a one-off thing, then whatever - but I now have a huge problem EVERY TIME I try to pick up a script. I have absolutely no choice but to fire CVS and go to Walgreens. God help us when they start administering Aetna Insurance! read more

The store is organized in such a way where everything is easy to find. The staff and friendly and always greet upon entry. The pharmacy can be very busy at times, so wait times can get excessive. Best aspect, they're open 24/7 read more

Pharmacy: This has to be the worse pharmacy in the area! First of all: "THEY DO NOT PICK UP THEIR PHARMACY PHONE CALLS!" I waited over 25 minutes and finally had to hang up! Even when I'm in the store, I hear the pharmacy phones ringing off the hook and no one seems to care. If they don't want to pick up their calls, then they shouldn't have a phone number! The pharmacy lines both inside and at the drive thru are always long and slow as well. This all gets very frustrating. In the end, I transferred by prescriptions to another pharmacy--even if I have to drive further now. Due to their lack of customer service, I cannot recommend this pharmacy. Shame on them! read more

I love that someone almost always says, "Welcome to CVS" when I walk in. I hate that on multiple occasions I have had to wait 15+ minutes for prescriptions that I called in days prior only to find out when I'm picking up that they have not yet filled them. This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I switched my prescription here when I moved because they are closer - either they have major technology issues or are just completely incompetent, but they completely screwed up my refill and have been speaking to me as if they couldn't care less. Not the proper attitude to take when you are messing with someone's health and well being. I would rather inconvenience myself and drive out of the way than remain a customer here - terrible service. read more

This is a chain pharmacy so I don't expect much, but having to wait over 45 minutes for a prescription when they tell you 20 minutes is ridiculous. This was a once off for me. In future I will go down the road where I'll be treated like a valued customer, not just a number. read more

Clearly the pick up pharmacy drive thru window says "pick up" not place your prescriptions here. So why didn't the pharmacist at the window direct a client to proceed inside to deal with her prescription issues tonight instead of holding up a line of 10 cars for 45 minutes at 6:00pm this evening? When asked his response was only he couldn't force her to go inside! Perhaps management needs to step in if an employee is unable to handle a situation and not inconvenience other customers who know the process and abide by it. It was an extremely frustrating wait time for the rest of us. I will not use this "convenience" again, and probably will switch pharmacies, due to total lack of customer service and consideration! read more

The pharmacy is staffed with nice purple who have no issue letting 10 people queue up and wait 10-15 minutes to check out. Have never had an issue with getting a prescription filled but you have to give them 8-12 hours to fill it and then plan 20-30 minutes to get in an out. read more

It's a 24-hour pharmacy. So I came at 2:00am following a trip to the ER with a family member who needed an emergency prescription filled. The pharmacist was a slovenly guy wearing a name tag that said "Ed" on a dirty unbuttoned medical jacket. Seriously, food stains and remnants. And he WASN'T WEARING SHOES. I immediately wondered what his hands had touched that would now be touching my family member's prescriptions. Like I have a choice at 2:00 am. Like I should even have to think about that. He was trudging around as if it were the middle of the night and his neighbor's dog just woke him up. Except he was a medical professional at work. As if that weren't enough, he had his phone in his pocket on speaker phone and proceeded to have conversations with the folks back home in another language the entire time I was there. Unwholesome-sounding is unwholesome-sounding in any language. I don't need the couch conversations from his buddies watching pay per view or whatever it was that was going on. Professionalism and the standard of care do not have optional "open hours" but "Ed" seems to think otherwise. Next time I have an ER prescription in the dead of night, I'll go to Walgreens. read more

Absolutely terrible and unprofessional! I went with my boyfriend this evening after being discharged from the walk in clinic for a chronic cough. We went to drop off his 3 prescriptions around 6pm and the girl told him his medications were already being processed at the cvs hope street location so we needed to go there to pick them up. My boyfriend insisted to them that the hope st location was closed but they said they would be open until 10pm. We drove to the hope st location and sure enough they were closed, now already annoyed we went back to the high ridge location and said hope st was closed like we said. Never once did the 2 girls speaking with us apologize for the inconvenience. They then became very rude telling my boyfriend he should have told hope st to cancel the order while we were there because now they cannot process it. How would he of known to do that? The pharmacist Christina then raised her voice and said we either pay full price out of pocket or the meds ($125) or return tomorrow. My boyfriend told them it was imperative he begin the meds tonight and Christina and Sandra basically had no sympathy for the situation and continued to be very rude. My boyfriend then agreed to pay for the meds and while we were waiting the pharmacist Christina was very rude to the next two customers who also had issues with their prescriptions. I'm aware CVS is notorious for employing incompetent people but this was just ridiculous. read more

This is the first tme I have evered bothered writing a review for anything. My dissatisifaction with the pharmacy department is beyond compare. The staff is so incompetant we have had to explain insurance procedure to them five times. They continue to run the wrong insurance information for diabetes mediation and then fight with us when we tell them they are putting in the wrong insurance. We were made to come back three days in a row on three seperate occasions for this same problem. In addtion, when we filled a different prescription and went home, we found in a bottle of 50 mg medication a pill for 100 mg. Luckily that medication is relatively safe in higher dosages, but that is still a potentially dangerous oversite. I am suprised they havent killed someone yet. Withdrawing all business from them and I recommend others do the same. read more

Horrible customer service. I had been trying to reach the pharmacy since last night and no one would pick up (was on hold for close to an hour). The next morning, I tried to call again. Still no answer. So I decided to drive there and discovered the "24-hour" pharmacy was closed since last night. Was told to come back at 7am which I did and it was still closed. When I asked one employee (Eric) what was going on, he shrugged and said "I don't know. I just got here." Asked another employee (Tina) if maybe I could call another CVS to get my prescription and she responded "I dunno. You could try." When I suggested that perhaps this store should be more accommodating and find out where to direct other customers who will be coming in for their scripts, she simply shrugged her shoulders. Can't believe the lack of professionalism and care in an environment that is supposed to support people's health and well-being. Totally stressful-- there could have been a positive outcome if the staff showed more concern and compassion. Calling another CVS to ask or at least provide some phone numbers would have made a big difference. So disappointed esp since this is my neighborhood pharmacy. read more

Ive had problems with the pharmacy staff on numerous occasions, but my experience here tonight really takes the cake...let me first say that on the pretty rare instances when I make it during the day/early evening, I've had no issues aside from a lil wait, hence the extra star I'm giving this review. The pharmacists that are assigned to the night shift are downright RUDE. Tonight I called in to refill a prescription and ask if a specific medication was in stock. I was happy to hear it was and requested to pick the rx up within an hour from the time I called. After doing a few things around the house I made my way over, and at which point was over an hour and a half from the time I called. So husband and I went through the driveway to pick up...woman working acted like I had JUST called and said it was still being worked on (looked at us as if she was thinking, 'how dare you expect it to be ready this quick." There were few cars in the parking lot and at this point it's a quarter to 1am. I knew she hadn't even begun to fill it. Luckily it only took a couple minutes, despite the "promised" time being close to 30 minutes prior to the time I arrived. I then handed over the rx for the medication that I had asked about on the phone. Here is where I became really frustrated...last month I was given instructions from this CVS on what my doctor was required to write in order for me to get BRAND NAME medication. Less than a month later this woman is telling me she can't fill it because she needs to "double check" that she can fill it this way. She's the only pharmacist that seems to be on duty at this hour and is unsure about whether she can fill something or not?! Come on! This is a medication that I'm prescribed to take in the morning, before leaving the house...now because of her lack of understanding, I have to skip a day of my medication? The script was clearly marked with DAW, dispense as written. I have to say that I've had issues with this same pharmacist...not too long ago my husband and I were traveling and we needed to refill a few things a day or two early and on our end, and with our insurance, this has never been an issue. She absolutely insisted that this would not be possible. Thinking that maybe something had changed I even stated that I'd pay out of pocket if needed, but still, she insisted that she couldn't fill my medication. After a solid ten minutes of going back and forth with her, my husband took the phone and demanded to speak with a manager. Within a minute of being transferred, he was off the phone and the refills were in the works. When my husband asked why I had been told that a medication couldn't be filled, the manager said that the pharmacist had "gotten confused" and that she would be spoken to. Perhaps this is when she ended up on the grave yard shift?! I've been a loyal CVS customer for years and years...from Boston, to Florida, and now back here in Stamford. Over the past year I've noticed the pharmacy going downhill fast...and I'm not the only one! With every bad experience I've sworn to myself that I'd no longer go back, yet I have been for the sake of convenience. Yes, it's 24 hours, but what's the point when I show up later on at night and don't leave with what I've come to get?! I think this really may be the last time I deal with the rude staff, and I think that along with me, I'll be taking my family elsewhere. read more
