Unfortunately, I have did not have good experience here. One of the prescriptions that I usually get at my regular pharmacy was not available. I called Madison for assistance to see if they could get the medication. I was quoted a ridiculously high cost for this medication - a medication that is approved through my insurance for a $5 copay. The pharmacist told me that he would be able to get the medicine, BUT that it would cost me hundreds of dollars! This doesn't make any sense when it's a very low co-pay for me at any other pharmacy. He could not actually explain why the medicine was not covered at the regular $5 co-pay at Madison. All he kept saying is that the medication is expensive. Yes - it's expensive when you don't have insurance. But I have insurance and the medication is covered under it. This is quite alarming to me. I confirmed with my insurance company that I should be able to pick up the medication at Madison for $5. They confirmed this and even called the pharmacist to try to understand why they were quoting me hundreds of dollars. We thought maybe there was something that we were not understanding. When my insurance representative got back on the phone with me, he said that the pharmacist was claiming that he now suddenly could not get the medication (after he told me minutes before that he could). My insurance representative also said that the pharmacist seemed bothered and annoyed by the call, and tried to rush him off the phone - and also would not explain to him why their pricing was hundreds of dollars when it should've been meeting the insurance co-pay of $5. Something seems incredibly shady. For this reason, if you're able to get your prescription covered, I'm sure you'll enjoy the benefits that everybody talks about at this local pharmacy. But if you encounter something like what I encountered - beware. And call your prescription insurance company for cost verification before desperately handing over hundreds of dollars you don't have to. I hate to wonder, but In my opinion, it almost seems as though Madison was trying to price gauge (knowing the medication was unable to be obtained at my regular pharmacy) for their own benefit. Once they realized I was not willing to pay that ridiculous price, their tone suddenly changed, and then the medicine was suddenly no longer available to them. Something doesn't add up. I should add - in the past, I have had this same prescription filled at Madison a few times and never encountered this problem. And my insurance has not changed.

She told me she would make sure I had all my medications when I need them. She has gone above and beyond to do just that, and more. When one of my medications is unavailable at the manufacturer, Noura calls me ahead to come up with a plan. She has been able to fill prescriptions that were supposedly only available through other pharmacies. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Milford Pharmacy, owners Noura and Jimmy, and their staff. I am happy to support this family owned, independent pharmacy!

I wanted this to be a slam dunk. It was rough. When you come in there shelves are empty and disheveled. It looks like there was a storm warning or something and people scrambled to buy everything. The man helping me had a different file and asked me if my birth year was correct, 1948.....he was about 40 years off. These are who are filling your prescriptions and making sure you're getting the right medicine. I called ahead for a transfer and when arrived 30 minutes later, they hadn't called the other pharmacy. The pharmacy is very disorganized. There's a really nice woman working there who seems to hold down the fort, but besides that it's a zoo. They were very nice which always makes it hard to review, but they've got to get it together to retain customers

The response, in a loud irrtated voice " IT'S YOUR PROBLEM". We have nothing to do with it. The supplier/manufacturer wondered why I was calling and proceeded to cross examine. I assured them I tried to get assistance from Slavins-Hancock. The Customer. Service at the supplier confirmed THE FIRST MONTH (April) IS SLAVINS -HANCOCKS RESPONSIBLITY to directly notify us( the supplier).

I went back to CVS to ask why they woken send me to a place that don't have it but was told that ShopRite did indeed have the same drug but a different name (also covered by my insurance) and they simply did not give it to me. (Also, both stores were dumpy, dirty, and had lots of empty shelves.) Then I went to Chapel Street Pharmacy. They had plenty of test kits (for half the price I paid at CVS), they had KN-95 masks, the store was clean and bright, and the pharmacist was extremely friendly. If I lived in New Haven I would take all my pharmacy business to this place.

Apparently called once to confirm address. We weren't home and caller id said "spam" with no company name. We called back but they don't work on weekends.
