Consistently bad service at this location. I had some film developed here, which first of all takes 3 weeks to have done because they send it out to Kodak. They called me later and said it is ready to be picked up. When I went in to pick it up and handed them my receipt, they didn't have it and couldn't get in touch with Kodak to see what happened. The man working at the time asked me THREE times if I was sure I received a phone call alerting me that the photos were ready to be picked up, like he thought I was making it up or something. Smh. The only good thing about this CVS is that it's close to my house. Tip: don't get photos developed here. read more

The most rude, unhelpful, heartless, pharmacy dept, including the head pharmacist. They treat people horribly. And are more concerned with pushing paper than facilitating Healthcare and answering questions. And they are sloppy in their work. Just awful. read more

I've lived in the area for 16 years and love having a cvs near me, however, their pharmacy service is incredibly slow and customer service is not their strong suit. They often tell me the wait will be 5 minutes and it's 30. Today, Felicia, a woman who works there had a horribly rude attitude and I was offended by the way she was speaking to customers. This place is right down the street from me, so I always think "How bad can it be"? They never have what i need, out of stock, dirty and some of the most unhelpful staff you can find. It ends up leaving with nothing but aggravation. Today tried to pick up photos I ordered, they could not find, I had to wait to the guy to stop hitting on a girl to even try to get service. This has been 'my' pharmacy for more than 15 years simply because it is close to my house and all of my insurance information is on file. In the past, I have tolerated a lot of nonsense such as excessive lines, being placed on hold, short staffed, rude staff, prescriptions that you receive text messages about that are ready and when you arrive they aren't!!! The list is LONG!! Today was the last straw! I had called in a prescription on Saturday morning with a pick up time later in the day--long before the closing time. Life got in the way and I didn't manage to get there. No problem, I thought to myself, I will just drop by on Sunday after the open at 10 am. Instead of heading over, I decided to call. The pharmacy staff checked into my order only to share with me that they were out of the prescription. Then I was asked to hold and she then came back to share that she did have some. She further asked when would I like to come in to pick it up and I indicated that I wanted to come in with in the next hour. I arrived as I had shared, and when I asked for my meds, I was told that they didn't have any. OK....help me out. With all sorts of computerized systems containing loads of information, how could they have it and then an hour later NOT have it. The gal at the counter told me that they could order it and it would arrive on Monday by 4 pm. UNEXCEPTABLE!!! I insisted that they contact another local CVS. They hesitated but eventually did. 45 stinking minutes later, my script was ready. NO ONE was able to tell me why I was not contacted YESTERDAY when it was discovered that their inventory did not have my medication. This isn't the first time this has happened to me but it is definitely the last. I will drive WAY out of my way to find another pharmacy that employs people with a little more professionalism than I've experienced this weekend. This is one of the smaller stores and given the problems that I've experienced there, they just need to close it down! Save yourself a trip over there and go someplace else! read more

Absolute craptastic pharmacy. They always eff up your scrips and are never willing to take the blame when they mess up. At this point, I go out of my way to drive to Chevy Chase to get my prescriptions now. Screw this CVS, I honestly hope they get closed down and all those people lose their jobs. read more

There is one CVS location that is closer to my house than this one, but this is my preferred location. The pharmacy was helpful in locating a prescription that another CVS did not stock; the manager went out of their way to help me use a Groupon gift certificate; the staff is always friendly; I can always find a parking spot. read more

This is the absolute worst pharmacy. After being in the ER for four hours stopped to fill prescription. Was told wait would be 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I checked and was told it would be another 30 minutes. Cardiac patient waiting for nitroglycerin. Not my first bad experience here unfortunately. read more

This is one of CVS's older stores and there's nothing special about the store itself (although the selection was decent and the store was clean) - but when I went there a week ago after an absence of 21 1/2 years (we lived within walking distance for 4 1/2 years, although it was still People's Drugstore in those days), the cashier was a *wonderful* young woman named Ana. I arrived there quite tired after a heavily-trafficked/very early departure from NYC and I was also very pressed for time. Ana was *incredibly* friendly & helpful when I needed to know where multiple items were located - and then when I returned to pay for everything, she was again terrific. Afterwards I complimented the manager and he was a really nice person. I was also impressed, because (after telling him how wonderful Ana was) he asked if I'd be willing to call the corporate office to give a compliment about Ana (which I readily agreed to do). read more

Always long lines. Never enough staff. Shelves are poorly stocked and unorganized. Good luck getting in and out of the pharmacy in less than 30 minutes. It is offensive how little they care about the customer time and satisfaction at this location. Maybe if they spent less on the paper for their mile long receipts they could hire more staff to run this location properly. The only thing they do well is keeping their customers in line. read more

It's a smaller pharmacy, located near my home and kids school. Parking is good. Service is slow sometimes. Seems like when I go there's alot of restocking so maybe I'm just hitting them when they are tired. Bonus is plenty of healthier fast food spots adjoining so if you must wait you can eat too! read more

Between the dismal parking in the Woodmoor Shopping center and the long, slow moving lines at the prescription counter, I've given up on this location. Tried twice on consecutive days to pick up a prescription, and gave up due to the long lines. Had nerve racking experience both times trying to get out of the tight parking space, and needed assistance from an angel who stood behind me to block the inconsiderate drivers who ignored my backup lights. Going to this CVS in Woodmoor is a double dose of frustration that I won't go through again. read more

This place used to be great until the beginning of winter. I think the reason for the downfall was when the asian Pharmacy Technician left, I think his name was Ryan or Brian? He was always fast and efficient whenever I came by to pick up my meds. He would give realistic wait times based on how busy he was and was pretty accurate with it. The thing that most impressed me was his ability to work 2 registers at once and how fast he was at filling scripts. Really gonna miss him, he wasn't at drop off much, but whenever he was he'd always try to help me find a coupon for my brand name meds and would fight with insurance if something didn't seem right. Gonna have to find another pharmacy now, current staff seems to have trouble with almost everything. read more

Came in for a passport photo, they use a flimsy digital camera and shoot with super poor lighting. Staff member was reluctant to show me my own photo and take another. Would NOT recommend coming here for your passport photo! read more

This place is a SH** Show. Run by teenagers that are rude and unhelpful. I think "how bad can it be" ,go back and always regret it. This last time they couldn't find my account to give me the sale price. Had to speak to the manager who was "James Dean" with ripped t-shirt. Without saying a word to me just walked away. read more

Fire the manager. He/she is not doing their job. Poor inventory and many times "they're out of the item." The pharmacy is fine, no problem there. What do they pay these people that work there? It must be below minimum wage because I've never seen so many empty headed clerks, sales help, and people at the register. Don't intelligent people work at stores anymore? I have been going to this pharmacy since it was still People back in the 90s. I'm sorry to say the pharmacy service is inaccurate at worst and unreliable and slow at best. The last six times I went, they either gave me the wrong prescription, one that I told them I no longer needed several times, or the wait was at least 30 minutes. I have since changed pharmacies even if it is further in Takoma. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for several years. The pharmacist and other pharmacy staff have consistently been professional, responsive and polite-always with a smile. They have gone the extra mile to contact my doctor or health insurance plan, as needed. My only complaint is a fairly long wait time to pick up prescriptions in the evening.
