And yes, I've used Shutterfly which isn't all that amazing to be frank. I wanted to print out my parents' main wedding photo to replace the damaged in the last 50 years. It was done in an hour and it was as good as it could be. I did some more touch ups and reprinted another copy - it's just so convenient, versus having to wait for Shutterfly to mail and pay for shipping. I also printed out photos at a different Walgreens and the photo size was actually not correct. So I plan to reprint the photo at this location. One worker kind of didn't acknowledge me when I came in - it would have been appropriate for her to say, "Hello, someone will be with you in a minute" then yell out, "Harv! A customer is here for you!". Someone did come in about a minute regardless. A different person was working the next morning and she helped me out right away. So regarding the photo service - I recommend using services like this one at Walgreens to ensure that Shutterfly does not become a monopoly and to ensure in-person services stay a thing. Why print photos? Because photos are curated and placed with thought. Towards the end of my deadline, I found I could use a photo taken from an airplane above the clouds and I used it as a full spread. If I had only known, I would have done much more fancier things. Going through albums as a family is another way to get junkies off their screens. Talkin' to you, mom! EDIT: Came back here to print more photos. There's usually a sale, so make sure to check the website and enter the codes before purchasing. It's not the most advanced system, but it works. I'll have to reprint more photos, since the 4x6 is not always compatible with the size on my iphone. But the prices are definitely cheaper even with inflation than printing photos in the 1990s at Walmart.

This is by far, the best-stocked Walgreens of the local Peninsula Walgreens that I have visited…read more The store is huge, well laid-out (easily shop-able), with wide aisles, easy to view shelving, and plenty of inventory. Every other Walgreens that I visit locally are often out of essential toiletries, health & beauty products, and household necessities such as cleaning products, toilet paper, and batteries, but this one has it all. It also has a lot of employees covering the floor, which is helpful to find products or retrieve the locked-up high-theft items such as toothpaste and hair care. They have a very active & centrally located photo counter, which doubles as a customer service counter right by the front entrance facing the El Camino Real. The employees that work at this particular store are plentiful, polite, professional, and helpful (when you ask for help). The store is clean, bright, spacious, and easy to navigate, every section is clearly marked, well-stocked, and organized like a pharmacy should be. Checking out is a different story. The only cashier's/cash register are at the rear of the store facing the parking lot. There is usually only one cashier, despite it getting pretty busy here. I'm not sure why they planned the store with only 1-2 registers that are away from all the action (main entrance, pharmacy, customer service/photo desk), but it's fairly awkward to have to walk all the way to the back of the store to pay, then walk back to the front of the store to exit, it's alot of walking around back & forth, lol. I guess that's one way to get your exercise in, as well as to tempt the customer to make impulse & spontaneous purchases, or so I think. Anyways, the checking out process is perhaps the worst part of this store & its layout. The cashier's never seem well-trained, motivated, or as helpful as the rest of the employees in this store. Maybe it's a hierarchy, seniority, experience thing? I think the overall shopping experience would be better improved with more trained, energetic, and knowledgeable cashiers, that is you last point of contact in this store and it leaves the final impression as you exit this store. The lines get long and sloooow! As to the pharmacy, the line moves along. It is well-staffed, and the support staff is friendly and professional. The lines tend to swell during peak hours (morning, lunchtime, after work) but it moves fairly quickly as there are alot of people working it to move the customers along. The pharmacists are approachable and open to offer help as well as information about your prescriptions. The pharmacy at this branch is very good and I don't mind coming here at all after stopping at the local hospitals & medical clinics found along El Camino Real and San Mateo Drive. Parking is easy in the back with a big, metered parking lot (but you have to pay and it's not cheap). Street parking at the front of the store is a bit more difficult and sparse. Overall, it's a good experience here, I just wish the cashier/checkout/exit line was a bit more efficient and expedient!

I recently had an excellent experience at the CVS on North Delaware in San Mateo County, thanks to the fantastic customer service provided by the David, the pharmacist and the tech Monina. Both were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. The pharmacist took the time to explain my weight loss prescription clearly and answered all of my questions with patience and care, ensuring I felt confident with my medication. Monina, the tech, was equally helpful, offering friendly and quick service at the counter. It's rare to find a team so dedicated to ensuring a smooth and pleasant pharmacy experience, and I truly appreciate their hard work. Also, this is one of the most consistently clean CVS pharmacies. Highly recommend this location! read more

They had light bites like croissants, yogurt fruit cups, coffee, juice, water and prosciutto wrapped melons. They had a DJ, raffles, free samples, freebies with a purchase and the theme was Hawaiian so we were given plastic leis and a big yellow mesh bag with a goodie bag filled with some samples. The presentation was upbeat and fun except for some ladies who were constantly chatting and even a couple of ladies behind me who just kept talking throughout the whole show so it was hard to hear. I don't know if one was translating from English but I thought it was very inconsiderate. It was already sometimes hard to hear because the speakers had to hold a microphone while trying to do a makeover and/or the music was also loud. Despite the interruptions, the reps and employees kept it upbeat. We ended up getting coupons under certain seats so that was a bonus for those who didn't win a gift basket from the raffle. Those baskets were generous with products!! After the show, women scattered to the respective cosmetic reps to try samples, buy with purchase and take advantage of the extras the reps brought for both the Beauty Trend Show and the Anniversary Sale. I reached out to the Beauty Manager, Belinda as I wanted some tips for eye makeup with a MAC rep. Belinda set up an appointment with a MAC Field Exec Shane Turner who was also a presenter. I showed up for my appointment but he was helping other customers who wanted to take advantage of the sales freebies for the day so I had to wait in the chair for maybe 10-15 minutes. He told me he'd wish there were more associates to help out. He seemed serious and overwhelmed. I told him about the MAC products I use and that caffeine irritates my eyes. He offered one product and said it doesn't have caffeine but I found out it had some in the ingredients list when I got home. I asked about the wear on a satin lipstick and he said it was long-wearing but it wore off later on in the afternoon. He applied a Green liner that was supposed to be long-wearing as well but that ended up smearing by the afternoon when I was still at the mall. He used a too radiant & brown tone concealer so that wasn't the correct shade. He gave some tips that were helpful but was disappointed in the actual products used. Afterwards, I went to 111 Skin and bubbly, enthusiastic, positive & informative Lupe the 111Skin rep was really fun to talk to and l learned about the line. She ran out of eye patches as a ton of women were lined up to try them. I had to leave the line earlier so I could make my MAC appointment so I missed out. I ended up learning about the product line and bought a serum after she applied it on me. I was amazed at the results! She was able to give me samples of their products so I could try before I buy so I was happy with that. I went to try some Jo Malone perfume and wanted to try a sample but they ran out of the tester on one. I was only able to spray some on my arm. When I checked out with a male employee, I noticed he had a few other yellow totes with samples and asked him about that. That was for the Influencers who RSVP'd originally for that day and I happened to be one of them so he gave me one! Afterwards, I went upstairs to look for more Anniversary sale items. The helpful Asian female clerk helped me locate some items that were on my list. I was happy they had a lot of sizes and merchandise at this location. They were well-stocked! She then offered to get the shoes I was looking for, so I gave her the style and size I needed. When she returned, she had an attitude yet again. I genuinely don't understand why customers are made to feel like they're a burden for simply asking for help. I came in to shop, not to deal with someone's attitude.
