This is by far, the best-stocked Walgreens of the local Peninsula Walgreens that I have visited. The store is huge, well laid-out (easily shop-able), with wide aisles, easy to view shelving, and plenty of inventory. Every other Walgreens that I visit locally are often out of essential toiletries, health & beauty products, and household necessities such as cleaning products, toilet paper, and batteries, but this one has it all. It also has a lot of employees covering the floor, which is helpful to find products or retrieve the locked-up high-theft items such as toothpaste and hair care. They have a very active & centrally located photo counter, which doubles as a customer service counter right by the front entrance facing the El Camino Real. The employees that work at this particular store are plentiful, polite, professional, and helpful (when you ask for help). The store is clean, bright, spacious, and easy to navigate, every section is clearly marked, well-stocked, and organized like a pharmacy should be. Checking out is a different story. The only cashier's/cash register are at the rear of the store facing the parking lot. There is usually only one cashier, despite it getting pretty busy here. I'm not sure why they planned the store with only 1-2 registers that are away from all the action (main entrance, pharmacy, customer service/photo desk), but it's fairly awkward to have to walk all the way to the back of the store to pay, then walk back to the front of the store to exit, it's alot of walking around back & forth, lol. I guess that's one way to get your exercise in, as well as to tempt the customer to make impulse & spontaneous purchases, or so I think. Anyways, the checking out process is perhaps the worst part of this store & its layout. The cashier's never seem well-trained, motivated, or as helpful as the rest of the employees in this store. Maybe it's a hierarchy, seniority, experience thing? I think the overall shopping experience would be better improved with more trained, energetic, and knowledgeable cashiers, that is you last point of contact in this store and it leaves the final impression as you exit this store. The lines get long and sloooow! As to the pharmacy, the line moves along. It is well-staffed, and the support staff is friendly and professional. The lines tend to swell during peak hours (morning, lunchtime, after work) but it moves fairly quickly as there are alot of people working it to move the customers along. The pharmacists are approachable and open to offer help as well as information about your prescriptions. The pharmacy at this branch is very good and I don't mind coming here at all after stopping at the local hospitals & medical clinics found along El Camino Real and San Mateo Drive. Parking is easy in the back with a big, metered parking lot (but you have to pay and it's not cheap). Street parking at the front of the store is a bit more difficult and sparse. Overall, it's a good experience here, I just wish the cashier/checkout/exit line was a bit more efficient and expedient! read more

THEYRE SELLING FAKE POKÉMON CARDS i opened them and tried to return them after i saw they were fake. cashier refused to accept the return and refused to print a receipt. she said to talk to corporate, but gave NO contact info. she said she didn't know how to contact them. so why are you telling me to contact them if you don't even know how to? so rude and a waste of $30 read more

Yes, they are understaffed. Yes, the customer service could be better. That being said, it's relatively fast and convenient and the workers try. Just manage your expectations and you'll be fine. read more

This Walgreens is very poorly staffed. They don't have anyone at the cash register or the photo and fedex counter regularly. A bunch of customers including myself had to wait for 5 minutes before we were even able to flag down anyone for help, and then they did not even get to the counter until 5 minutes after. If you are trying to be efficient about running errands, avoid this Walgreens. read more

I came by to pick up a prescription for a upcoming trip. Their hours as stated start at 8AM Friday. I get there promptly at 8AM. The pharmacist rolls in causally at 8:03AM and I'm thinking okay just a couple more minutes and someone will open the front gate. Well a few minutes more pass and the pharmacist calls someone probably the pharmacy technician overhead to come to the pharmacy. It wasn't until 8:08am that they opened the gate to help me. I ended up leaving at 8:12am. They ended up apologizing for the wait but at the same time, it's unfortunate that they were opened on time. Though they were late opening, it does beat the long waits in the afternoon I guess. I've called in before to pick up previous prescriptions/ clarifications when the app tells me I need to call the pharmacy. It's been hard to get ahold of people on the phone. I've had a time where I had to wait 40 minutes because I kept being placed on hold and then I would get the phone hung up on me. So it is probably best to just walk in to get assistance because waiting on the phone takes a lot longer anyways. read more

They need to better staff the pharmacy. I tried five times now to speak with an actual person in the pharmacy. First I end up on hold, then when the phone finally rings no one answers and it eventually disconnects me. No way to run a business!!!! Horrible read more

This lady right here is straight up so rude. I can't believe she's associated with Walgreens. I was simply trying to get by as the stuff I needed was right next to her. She was bend over the middle of the aisle blocking the path. She scowled at me like I was the one making her life miserable. And she said something underneath her breath which was probably offensive. I ignored her and continued with my shopping. She terrified me so much I didn't even bother asking for her help when I needed to get something out of the shelve. I found this nice Filipino lady who seemed to be the only one helping everyone at the store. The only reason I gave this Walgreens one star was because of her. read more

Terrible pharmacy service. I've trying to fill a Paxlovid prescription for my wife for 4 days. I came to this Walgreens needing a $100 bill split and there were two people behind the counter. An Asian lady and a white man. Being an African American, the lady met me with a cold attitude that rubbed me the wrong way immediately. Once I handed her the money, she asked how did someone "like me" get that sort of cash, I told her it was my birthday and over the next 7 minutes, she checked if the money was real 22 times in front of me. The man behind the counter had to take over in order for me to get my money broken down in time for a later event. read more

Do NOT order any photos here. The personnel were unbelievably disorganized. It took 15 minutes for them to find my simple 2-photo order. While I was there, two other customers complained about their lost orders. On top of that, they wanted me to pay for an order that I already paid for online! Not sure how a Walgreens could be as unorganized or with such incompetent staff! read more

I felt the need to leave a good review here for both this store and its pharmacy after having a terrible experience at the Broadway Walgreens with their dismissive customer service. Incredibly incompetent. The women working at this pharmacy make me question whether or not you need any education to be a pharmacist. Avoid exposing yourself to their ignorance & insubordination at all costs. read more

I've never posted a review online for anything, but I felt I needed to for the pharmacy at this Walgreens. As I stand on line, there are 7 people waiting, with four Walgreens employees standing around behind the counter. Only one employee has their kiosk open and no one else seems to be doing anything. This is after the whole team shut down the store front from at least 2:15pm when I arrived to 2:40pm for a break. And this is after I tried to stop by earlier when they were on lunch break. They truly seem disgusted with customers, and with the fact that they have to work. This picture sums up this Walgreens: read more

The female (asian) Pharmacist was so rude on the phone to me as well as to my Dr. I tried to ask her protocol for picking up script because I tested positive, she was short with mask answer. Prior to that when I tried to ask questions she was just short of hanging up on me. Her disposition is horrible!! Her customer service sucks!! I was in store on Sunday 7/17 to pick up my script I was waiting in line & she came towards me to go into what I now realize is a consultation booth/cube she expected me to read her mind that that is where she wanted to go into "no excuse/pardon me" (pull the store tapes) when i realized I said excuse me She than just glared.(pull the store tapes) b**ch! read more

Chain drug stores are a convenience when you happen to be in the neighborhood and you're reminded that the floss or baby aspirin supply is a little low. Another advantage is that their "club card" does same you money, which I took advantage last Saturday when I stopped by this Walgreen's for their generic version of Zyrtek. Past that and whether it be Walgreen's, CVS, etc, these places are fairly interchangeable unless you're talking ice cream at Rite Aid. This Walgreen's is on the smaller side and I have to remind myself that the main checkouts are on the El Camino side of the store. read more

Okay, the problem here is that all the employees are special education. I would ask them for help or where something is and they would tell me I don't know and get angry with me when I would ask if they knew where someone was that would know. It's just very frustrating not being able to interface with someone who is not special education. Please get some normal employees. I don't plan to ever come back to this location. read more

The staff are always stressed out and unfriendly, but their photo printing services are ok. Definitely not great quality, but better than many other CVS/Walgreen printers I've tried. Absolutely the most inefficiently run pharmacy I've ever been to. Staff totally incompetent. Any other CVS or Walgreens is better.

If you have read any of my reviews, you know I am a creature of habit. Well, that being said, I need to stop going to all these different Walgreen's b/c they are not created equally. I get used to walking into my local store, I know exactly where I can find everything I need and I can make it in and out in like 12 minutes flat. Not today. I go on my lunch break to pick up a bunch of stuff and it was my first time at this new spiffy spot on B Game ave. Bad move. I walked around in circles looking for the men's shaving/grooming section and find it after a few laps around the store. I mean, it's not like I am visiting numerous Macy's stores, hoping that the one in Stonestown has better dress slack variety than Serramonte (they do) does. It's Walgreen's! They have all the same crap for the exact same price and I just need to get that through my thick skull! All of that said, this store is lame. read more

I just needed money on my clipper card. I come into this location a lot. I always have to wait at least 15 min for someone to assist me. Today I went. I was waiting patiently like I always do. I had my clipper card out.. it was clearly visible. An employee brought another customer in front of me, didn't say anything. Not "I'll help you in a moment" or anything. I had to move so the customer could go in front of me and be wrung up even though I had been waiting for 15 minutes. Why didn't I grab someone for help you may ask? Because there is no one ever in the store to ask. So after waiting 20 min I get up to the counter, with my clipper card that I have been holding out in front of me the whole time, and the employee says "oh it's down". It is the most inefficient place I have ever been. The customer service is horrendous. I recommend not stopping here. read more

Unprofessional pharmacy staff lazy and liar , called this location October 10 2022 at 10:23am , to verify my vaccine appointment , the lady pharmacist who answered the phone told me right away that the store doesnt have access with the customers schedule due to privacy issue and i have to check it online my self , when i told her that this is not the first time ive done this to verify schedule she immediately put me on hold , then after more than 5 mins a guy answered the phone and help me with my inquiries and told me that they just have a line thats why the asian lady said that they dont have access with the schedule !!!! WALGREEN U NEED TO TRAIN UOUR EMPLOYEES , people call your pharmacy department because they have medical issues or questions about their medications , we dont call pharmacy just to check if u a soda in stock or something , if theres a line why cant your employee simply say they have a line and will get back as soon as possible instead of making up stories like they dont have access to the schedules that was made online why do u hire LIAR EMPLOYEES SPECIALLY AT THE PHARMACY .... No credibility , how can u trust an employee like that how can u be sure that that employee is not stealing from the company if shes a LIAR!!!! read more

I'm not giving it one star because they did have one of the creams I was looking for, though not the other SPF stick. The employee was not only phoning it in, she was serving up some attitude while doing it. As I write this, I'm thinking if I didn't have such a serious soft spot for Walgreens in general, I'd likely give it a one star. The customer service here needs to level up and more than by one or two or more. The employees, when they're hired, need better training in courtesy, service ethos, manners ... whatever it is that they train people with these days. In fact, maybe take a bit of the Trader Joes vibe and apply it to training at Walgreens? Just a thought. The issue is: I wanted to read the ingredients on the back of one of their Neutrogena SPF sticks, but I couldn't access it because it's locked behind a cabinet, which means I have to ask an employee to come and get it out for me. Okay, I get it. I accept their corporate reasoning of there's too much theft of sunscreen? Okaaay. They'd know better than I. So I call the woman and ask her to unlock the display. She acts as if she's doing me such a huge favor by deigning to walk over, all the way over from where she was standing, doing nothing, I might add. And isn't this her job? So she comes over and unlocks the cabinet. It takes me a few minutes to read the bottle because I'm comparing ingredients to another brand of sunblock. This woman gets overtly impatient and though she says nothing, it's clear she's getting increasingly impatient. If she had said something, I would've had something to work with, but it was in her attitude her demeanor. It was patently clear she was not happy being there, working there, not sure what was going on. Truth is: I felt kinda bad for her. This is not he first time I've gotten these vibes basically from anyone who I've come into contact with at that store. It's too bad because like I said, I usually sing praises for any and all drugstores--but not this one. They need to improve customer service, and they'd be golden. read more
