UPDATE: They did finally give me my change money back, but AFTER THE FACT that I had to file a police report and contact corporate on FB, which they in turn, contacted Jesse's boss, Lilian(or however you spell her name). Lilian called me and was professional and nice and told me that she did have a talk with Jesse and the cashier and for me to return to the store to pick up the money and that she WILL make sure that he gives it. But it took for ALL OF THAT to happen to get my change money back! But I am thankful for the service that Lilian did provide, unlike her manager and cashier employees, so I decided to add an extra star JUST FOR HER, but I still would not be shopping here ever again because I don't want to risk that happening to me again, especially with me also seeing a prior review on here of a past customer that was a victim of them overcharging their card for more than authorized. I generally DO NOT recommend spending your money at this location because I don't know how Jesse will do again when Lilian is not around! read more

Words escape me at how bad this pharmacy is... from the wait times, to the lack of customer service, to the accuracy of filling prescriptions, to the knowledge of the pharmacy technician, to the speed of service, to the lack of available staff, to the cleanliness of the store. And, the pharmacy has whatever hours they want. The mobile app says meal break is 1:30-2pm but I've seen signs stating return at 2:25pm or whenever they choose. This causes a challenge when I need to plan my day. read more

Wow! Seriously, this is the first time I am writing a one-star Yelp review for poor customer service. Today, I asked an older (maybe in her late 50s or 60s), shorter Filipina woman with glasses (I know because she was speaking Tagalog with her associate) if they had wart remover in stock. She looked at me puzzled and said no then turned around and kept talking to her associate. Even the associate didn't care to help. There were no other customers around either. Very rude, dismissive and no effort to try and understand what I needed. I still am shocked by the lack of care because I believe in being kind to everyone. I mean, if you don't like your job, you can still be kind to others. So confused by her behavior. I looked up the product on my phone and showed her it was in stock in her store and she seemed annoyed and pointed at a shelf, no words. It was a very strange and rude interaction. The only reason I mentioned her physical description earlier is because I didn't catch her name because I would have placed formal complaint/feedback to the manager. I'm certain human decency is a skill needed when working with customers. It was only my second time visiting this store and I do not plan to visit this Walgreens again even though we live close by. read more

horrible! The short Filipina worker (who I am certain is Filipina since she was speaking Tagalog) was extremely rude towards an other woman who was with her 12-14 year old granddaughter. The worker was laughing, yelling, and basically calling the old woman stupid. The old lady tried to help and put the pin in but the Filipina kept yelling and pressuring her. The granddaughter had a very serious reaction to the disrespect that was being thrown at her grandma. And so did I, and this is just the beginning, this store has the worst theft rate ever! The cashier saw someone walk out the store with a bunch of stuff and all they did was yell and say nothing after and made her co worker not even go outside and check! The cashier asked if I needed a bag and I said yes. She proceeds to not give me a bag and not charge me for it either, so I restated that I needed one. I was polite and smiling. She muttered "Jesus Christ" and walked away after handing me a brown paper bag. Never had a problem with rude staff here before. read more

If I could give this place a zero or negative number I would, much like most of the reviews on this location I too have had it with this Pharmacy. I know many Walgreens have shut their doors and the narrative has been theft and safety, but I would also venture due to their poor customer service and lack of care for the store or the patrons that frequent it. We have been going to this pharmacy since we moved here in 2021, mind you I lived in SF before and I have dealt with dysfunctional Walgreens. The pharmacy here has always been slow, not friendly and has had constant staff turnover over. Since they recently updated their hours to be closed on Sundays and shortened time open on Saturday my husband and I moved all of our prescriptions to be sent to us- we live two minutes away. Today was the last straw. We stopped by around 1:20 after being at urgent care with our daughter to pick up a prescription that was called in. I call to check before we arrived to see if they received, no one answers and then it hangs up after 8 minutes on hold. I go inside to find 3 people at the Pharmacy, no line and no one waiting and no one on the phone- odd, so you are ignoring your phones, strike 1. I go up to the window and ask to see if they have the prescription and how long it might be. The guy helping me couldn't locate anything, I say how can that be, he looks up my daughter and says nope- zero prescriptions, strike 2. He shoos me away- literally with his hands- and I call the doctors who confirm it went through and they will send again. I get back in-line and again told nope nothing as the head pharmacist is screaming it's 1:30, it's 1:30. The guy again says nothing here and we are closed for lunch and walks away, strike 2! I am infuriated as I am sick and I have a very sick kid in need of meds. No ONE wants to help. The woman pharmacist says sorry nothing here and walks away after I demand that it's there. I go home infuriated and my poor child in pain. I ask my husband to call them 90 minutes later, again no answer and hangs up after 8 minutes....blood is boiling. My husband goes down there to witness other patrons experiencing the same attitude and no help as they proclaim they have something to pick up and are being told nope, nothing. My husbands turn, again they say sorry nothing. My husband is 6'4 big guy so I am sure when he asked for the fourth time that no its there & you look, they finally got the idea to look at the GIANT pile of faxes and papers that had been piling up. Odd, it wasn't busy when I came in and you have stacks of papers being faxed in and no one decided to look through them when I asked...Low & behold there it was my daughter's prescription sitting there for them to fill....they told my husband to wait. I am horrified, disgusted and just sad about the whole thing. I get it, you may feel like you don't get paid enough, you may be overwhelmed by your job responsibilities and I get you are dealing with the public, but that is not an excuse to deliver poor customer experience and offer no assistance at all and just usher often sick or chronically sick folks in need of their meds away because you can't be bothered. I wish I didn't have to patron this Walgreens and will try the other one on the Ave, but there are literally NO OTHER places to pick up medication in this neighborhood read more

I scheduled my vaccine for 2:45, checked in at 2:30. As I waited I noticed people after I came in get their shot- all in a span of waiting for 45 minutes. I went to check in again and apparently the proper procedure was not adhered to so they didn't have me in line to get a shot. I've been to other Walgreens and haven't had this happen before- so would recommend another location for your vaccine needs. read more

I moved my meds to this store because it's within walking distance. The pharmacist is horrible. He's rude, slow and wouldn't fill my prescription from the dr. until he called her. It was a Friday and could call the dr. until Monday. It was important. He claimed the prescription was written wrong and he had to clarify. Well, I just went to another Walgreens pharmacist and he filled it. He's been rude to my husband as well. The other pharmacists are so nice at the other Walgreens, they need to get rid of him. read more

Pharmacy is sooo bad and soooo slow - always a long line with idiot people on the front. Watched the guy walk around looking for prescriptions but still couldn't find it until somebody finally showed him where it was. My turn - gave him my ID to make it easier and faster for pick up but didn't make a difference- he typed it in three times !! Used this place for years but guess it's time to change - going down hill since Covid. This is ridiculous!! I came in to buy a few traveling size cosmetics and toiletries for my upcoming trip, got to a empty register where I got denied partial payment of my 30$ bill because the rude cashier apparently had no time to count 1$ in nickels, 1$ in dimes, 5$ in quarters and " yes a whole 1$ in pennies " I mean nobody was in line behind me and I'm buying traveling stuff!! So I left and called to speak to a manager and explain my concern to her but l got told that they don't have enough time and people to count a few dollars in coins..... so I think that as an American tax payer I have the right to get rid of a few coins ($8 ) while I'm purchasing items in a public store with actual USA currencies, especially when they are not busy. I have been a customer of Walgreens off and on for 40 plus years. They are the worst pharmacy ever! Every time I try to give them a chance they FAIL. Smallish location at the end of a strip but found everything I was looking for and was out quickly.

Customer service was terrible. Staff at photo was dismissive, had bad communications and talked with an attitude. There was a lack of attention to standard requirements and details for passport photos (Non- US). It took a few tries to get a photo that is straight and not titled. Overall, it was a waste of time and a very upsetting experience. read more

The pharmacy is not run well. Twice I had to make multiple trips to pick up my meds - (1) received email notification that my 3 meds were ready for pick up but they only had 2 ready, (2) received text notification that my 1 med was ready for pick up but when I arrived they asked if I could wait 10 - 15 minutes because the pharmacist was on break and they could not dispense my med. I didn't want to waste my time so I left w/o my med. I think I'm going to move my prescriptions to CVS. In addition, I took my 2 teenage sons in for their flu shot and they said the technician left the needle too long in their arms and it REALLY HURT! They've had lots of shots before and know how it should be done. Won't be coming back here for flu shots. read more

i signed up via the Walgreens website to get a covid booster for 11:30 today. When i got there, i had to wait in line for 15 minutes and then was told that they didn't have any covid vaccine. This is disgraceful. They should not have allowed me to book the appointment in the first place or at least called me about the situation. The staff was unhelpful and wouldn't help me rebook another appointment. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with Walgreens. What a joke!! read more

Went to Walgreens Burlingame/Broadway Store to buy a birthday present and wrapping paper and also had a rather complicated return. Darlene was the cashier that helped me and she was wonderful! She was professional, very friendly, very calm and a good listener. She took care of my transaction quickly and I was on my way. My return transaction could have been made complicated and stressful with the wrong clerk. Darlene was the best! Hope she continues to work at the Burlingame/Broadway store. Maybe she can pass her excellence in customer service on to her co-workers!! read more

Came in today at 740pm with immense back pain. Grabbed a few items and was trying to pay. For about 10 mins standing up in pain, no cashier. Waited until the customer behind me said the photo section was open. I gobble over there and placed the 3 items on the counter. I asked the cashier behind if the products I was purchasing was FSA eligible, he was unsure what it was, I pointed to the FSA section in one box and he just said in a condensing manner, "if it's not on the box, it's not" He didn't even bother to check or ask anyone, it seems that he is not even interested to work there. This is Cal's Walgreens, so we visit often. They have a whole wall dedicated to hair dye, and I was so tempted to dye my hair bright red because that's what happens when you see a wall of hair dye. You see all these beautiful faces with beautiful hair, and the box featuring the hot couple with the hot red hair just seems like natural choice. But, I thought the better of it, and did not purchase that box of red hair dye. Instead, I opted for two bags of Indiana, Popcorn popcorn! Whoo-hoo! Parking lot is tiny, and I'm not sure if they enforce the Walgreens customers only policy because there were like 4 people in there, yet 8 cars in the lot. Little neighborhood branch in "old" Burlingame. The layout of this branch is really weird to me. I'm accustomed to finding certain things displayed on a wall, but because this one is almost a "mini-Walgreens," many things were spread out in aisles. They've still got their photo printing lab and pharmacy and cool "5 minute Rx" parking stalls conveniently located near the entrance/exit. The highlight of my latest trip - they had a whole 16 oz. bag of Jumbo Sunflower Seeds with 0 g TransFat prominently displayed in their front counter area, which saved me a trip to the grocery store! read more

If you ask the pharmacy not to bill in December because you don't want to pay a deductible for 2 weeks of the year and then have to pay it again in the new year, they won't listen - I just paid 2 deductibles in 2 weeks. Not happy. I communicated multiple times that I would wait to pick up until January because I didn't want to get billed in December and have to pay a deductible twice when I could wait the 3 weeks to pay 1 deductible for the new year. Very frustrated with the level of service. If they saw it was billed in Dec it should have been changed or I should have been notified at pickup. read more

I was trying to buy coke and needed to redeem the coupon from online and he was no help in guiding me through the process as this is the first time I have used the clip it coupon. Long story short, I was not able to redeem the coupon and he refused to assist or just adjust a whole 2 dollars off manually. I left the store very unhappy. It was not the $2, but the unpleasant customer service that Adel gave left me with a very unpleasant feeling (very upset!!!!!) This review is because my grandma in her mid 80s gets her 35mm film developed here. They promise to develop it by the time she finishes shopping. The photo woman walked my grandma out to her car bringing her groceries out. The lady is apparently beyond sweet. I've personally got cards, knick knacks here with no issues. I had an issue with my dumbass doctor not getting around to faxing the refill ok back to them for a medication I take everyday. I was a bit panicked and they were awesome. They gave me a 5 day emergency supply. Even before this happened no matter who I talk to there they are responsible, polite, and clear. It's refreshing. read more
