Allied universal security officer. CVS security On the phone
Monkeybird2566 M.

store #6332 6th & Market Street gaslamp 92101 619 234 -5900 Every time I go to the store I'm not greeted or helped by the security officer. There to busy on their phone and gambling. And the outside there's always homeless people and beggars. Dirty. Hired by Allied Universal Security Company. I talked to management and they have no say on who they send to that location store. Can't tell the security officer to stop being on their phone and goofing off. Sam GM tried To hire me. But that security company never contacted me. 6 months ago. Every time I go to the store this is what I see.

We stopped by here to grab a birthday card for my step-father, almost forgot to get it out to him for the rest of the week. Grabbed a card, some Q-tips, Tide stick, Extra sugar free gum too, Micellar wipes. I am happy to report that they have the small bags of flamin hot cheese puffs as well as the bigger bags $18.11.

CONVENIENT w/ PLENTY OF TRAVEL ITEMS! If you're visiting Downtown or live close by, this CVS is very helpful! It's in a centralized location and isn't too far from the Gaslamp hub and Petco Park. My family and I stopped in to get some quick supplies before a game and we were in-and-out. It's surprisingly quiet for a CVS in the middle of a busy metropolitan area. I'm cool with it haha. There's beach wear, snacks, make-up, travel packs, and plenty of alcohol. The pharmacy wasn't busy at all and it was a Sunday morning! The security guy was kind of disenchanted with his job but he was cool, he let us come in with some coffee we had just purchased nearby. I'd highly recommend this CVS, it's pretty up to date and put together.

This CVS Pharmacy came in clutch this past weekend. My boyfriend and I planned a trip out of town and forgot to bring certain things. For me; I totally forgot to bring deodorant and toothpaste. I mean how can you forget those items?! Geez I'm such a blonde sometimes lol They had little to go items for hygiene, so I grabbed a mini deodorant and toothbrush/ toothpaste combo. And I needed some Benadryl. I found all of these necessities at this CVS. My boyfriend grabbed some shaving cream and shaving lotion. He recently shaved his face and needed something with aloe to help with his skin irritation. And this CVS had exactly what he needed. Yay! No more skin irritation.

Had to shove money in the security guard to make him feel comfortable that I'm not going to steal something

I was aggressively followed by security guard, when I walked in the supervisor made an intercom announcement code 804020 or something similar and an African American Security guard started following me from isle to isle made me so uncomfortable. I asked the security to stop following me and he said "I'm just doing my job". Being an African American Male is hard because of situations like this, A white male customer tried defending him and said "He can follow you if he wants" I told him to shut up and mind his own business because he hasn't walked in the shoes of a black man. NO ITS NOT okay for someone to follow you. Makes you very uncomfortable and racially targeted. This is 2020 stop giving me 1964 vibes. I suggest y'all (as in corporate) reach out the store and have them reevaluate their discrimination policy because this location is itching for a legal situation in the near future.

Location/Ambiance: *Convenient downtown location, about a 14-minute walk from Cortez Hill and close to the trolley and Ross. *Be aware of your surroundings as there are many suspicious eyes, transients, and homeless people. *Prices are a little friendlier than 7-Eleven and some other neighborhood markets. *Larger, well-stocked, and reasonably priced especially when using your CVS coupons! *The outside is worn and not particularly inviting, but the inside is bigger than expected, and what I call "organized chaos." *Most items are locked up especially the snacks I frequently buy. Felt like a treasure hunt looking for my usuals. *There was a good selection of snacks, drinks, and CVS essentials, though the grocery section is limited and some of the aisles felt cramped. Customer service: *Staff were friendly (one cashier and one I saw on the floor). They were quick to assist me. *Self-checkout was easy (3 machines); stress-free and in/out in 10 minutes. It's the best option if you're in a rush. Overall: *Nothing special, but it's convenient, generally well-stocked, and gets the job done. Not the prettiest CVS, but useful when you need something close by.

I was visiting Coronado and walking with a friend along Orange. Since it was summertime, it was…read morequite hot, and at one point, I needed to grab a cold bottle of water. Then, I happened upon Walgreens! I was delighted to find regular Walgreens prices right on Coronado, where I expected a cold bottle of water to be $5 or more. I ended up getting two large bottles for $3 using a Walgreens deal. I just used some W Cash Rewards that had been saved for quite some time, and now, when checking out, I have to start earning my W Cash Rewards from scratch again. I enjoy the occasional visit to Walgreens, where I typically see it as a good excuse to stock up on paper goods, such as Kleenex or facial tissues, which I often run out of at home. I found multiple options for brands, box sizes, ply count, and whether they were soft or had lotion on them. I do enjoy just walking around the store as you never know what you will find. While walking around this time, I noted that this store regularly keeps the aisles looking good and the items in stock, though I also saw employees restocking items and changing price tags in various aisles. When I was checking out, there was one person ahead of me, but the line moved quickly, and once I entered my phone number for my rewards program, my transaction went through quickly, too. The W Cash Rewards program is free to sign up for and easy to use. You earn back 1% in Walgreens Cash rewards storewide, even at the pharmacy, and 5% in rewards on Walgreens branded products. There are also sales prices automatically unlocked and other savings coupons, where you can earn reward dollars by making a purchase after selecting a given coupon. Sometimes the coupons are on a receipt from your most recent purchase. You can also find other coupons on the app or the website (or in a booklet or ad when you arrive at the store). While I do not frequent Walgreens as often as other drug stores, I often wonder why, when I happen to visit a Walgreens store, as it's so easy to shop there, and my experiences are often very pleasant. Though on Coronado, I would consider my visit to Walgreens to be a big success!!

I made eye contact with one of the store associates at the register and instead of acknowledging me, he looked back down. I knocked on the door and he just shook his head at me, indicating he wouldn't be opening the doors. I took a picture of the hours on the window and that prompted him to come outside. He informed me they had had a power outage and were attempting to get the registers back up and working. Understandable. I said thanks and walked back to my car, only to watch more customers do exactly what I had just done and stand by the doors that didn't open. What does it take to write on a piece of paper that the store is currently closed due to a power outage and put it up on the doors? Lights are on, employees are in there staring at you through closed doors.... This place is mismanaged and the employees are SO lazy. I've been in the store many times waiting in a line to check out where one employee is at a register and the other employees are hanging around. Keep in mind they have 4 registers. It might be time to start thinking about implementing self check outs. This store is always very stocked and has a lot of options which makes it a good choice, but I would avoid it if I could. I drove across the street after this to Vons and got what I needed.

Then I went back to the pharmacy to ask for help from the pharmacists regarding several post-op wound care items that I needed to buy, and was unsure about which item to choose. Basically, I just needed some hand holding while figuring out what to buy. Although there were 3 people working in the pharmacy at that time, and there was no one waiting in line, no one had time to come out of the pharmacy to help me. They did tell me what isle I could look in, and I eventually found the items I needed by myself. But it just seemed strange that they couldn't come out to help a customer, even when there was no one else in the store. I have literally never met more incompetent people in my life. They said it "somehow got deleted" and they have to pull it from the archives but they don't know how long it will take. I talked to the manager and he just said "it's just our system" and walked away. Most dismissive manager, can't think of anyone more unfit. I literally cannot believe how much time I've waited in this fucking CVS. If I could give them negative stars I would. I have no words..... I'm so mad.
