Went there with a friend on Wednesday July 1st around 8pm. We were super excited to get some One Piece cards at customer service because it's usually sold out due to strict allocation which I appreciate as a consumer so everyone gets to have some. That said, the blonde lady at the cashier who was wearing a mask denied us because my friend was with me and didn't let him purchase any. We took the L gracefully and left but what annoyed me is that she allowed clearly the person ahead of us to loop and purchase again after she called him out on it. Why would you allow someone to loop and deny two new clients to buy. I'm here with my friend and we shouldn't be playing and acting like strangers so we can make a purchase. This is ridiculous. And the need to be rude about it was unnecessary especially when we were nice about it and didn't argue nor call you on the wrong you allowed just prior. We abide to rules, and that's the whole love part of this gaming community that inherently make is what it is before the scalpers you allow took over and ruin it all. But if you allow looping then turn us down, then I gotta say it was a let down and a disappointment. Because we also drove a fair amount to get there. read more

GREAT SQUISHMALLOW/TOY SECTION! Sports Arena's Target location is stocked to the brim with cool gadgets, toys, and plushies for kids. The aisles were packed with families and friends. I ran in to grab a Bingo Squishmallow for Teddybear Toss Night across the street at The Gulls. I purchased a medium-mallow for $15.99, that's about standard. The Target was a little messy and slightly ghetto, I didn't care for the "Karen" patrons nor the wannabes. The 15 or less line took FOREVER, this Target is severely understaffed. One of the staff members stepped up to the plate to support his coworker but no one else joined in to help. There's plenty of parking out front and this location is in the middle of a busy plaza with eateries and Pechanga Arena across the street. read more

I went to this Target a couple weeks ago and can't think of a reason as to why I got kicked out of line by the cashier? There were two lines open and then a 3rd cashier opened after awhile. I had been patiently standing in line for about 10 minutes. I didn't see a sign for minimum items, I wad not given a reason as to why I needed to get out of line. She rudely said "Find another line." The cashier lady was an old woman with blonde hair. If I was over the limit she didn't count my items nor was this clarified to me. Also, hire more people to work the register if you are going to enforce a minimum item line. 2 to 3 registers open is unacceptable for a store such as Target. This location is always busy read more

This target has never failed me with their drive up services. Every single time they are out of the door within 3 minutes upon arrival. The app has all their inventory with discounts and sales. Even if I have to go inside sure some stuff is locked up but everyone is so nice and they will come unlock it for you. Great selection of products and clean environment. Returns are easy. I wish they didn't get rid of the self checkout at the west entrance. It's usually not staffed and I park on that side so I have to walk all the way down to the other side of the store. When vacationing in San Diego, I forgot my cell phone charger. Not wanting to spend a lot of time and money for something I have at home, the logical choice was to shop at Target. The store was organized and had a few options for me. I picked up a few items and was on my way. I am a fan of Target stores, their layout is nearly the same at other locations. This target is okay. Can't seem to find anything in this location. The bathrooms are a mess! Staff a lot of times just seem to be kind of hanging around. All the security is by the door. They always stare as if your going to steal something. Standing around not doing much. Lots of attitude from workers. Staff isn't very pleasant. Not friendly at all. I try not to spend to long at this location it's gets busy and if it's busy you will wait forever. Never seems to ever be enough cash registers open. I've been on the hunt for a seasonal product that was supposed to be in stock at this store. I triple checked the shelves and also went online just to confirm before asking a store associate. Kathryn was so sweet while also keeping expectations real. She went to the back to check for the item and gladly went back to get even more when I decided I wanted to stock up (took a total of 10). The best part is they were on sale, so a great deal! She also guided us to the right area for other products. I understand that holiday weeks can get very stressful but Kathryn was such a sweet and helpful person that did everything happily! If I wasn't so far away this would be my go to target. read more

A lady claiming her name was Elizabeth displayed the worst customer service I've ever received. I drove a nail through my hand like a dummy; walked into the store at 9:43 but because the crew was cleaning up, Elizabeth, after turning her back and walking away from me intentionally, yelled "A8! a8! You just fucking walked past it! Oh my god! Are you fucking blind?" I replied "maam, I can tell you're frustrated. However I don't have you're stores aisles memorized." I said sorry about 6 times, not sure why. Overall it's a clean, nice Target, but I felt their prices were a bit steep. We were just looking for some cheap water shoes or flip-flops for the beach, and everything they has was $25 and up. We ended up finding what we needed at a walmart for $8. Also, it's weird the things they had locked up in display cabinets. I guess people steal lots of underwear and socks? Also, the sign there stating the shelves are secured to help keep the products on my list in stock is dumb. Let's call it what it is. These items are locked up to prevent shoplifting. Please contact a store rep for help. That's what it should be. "Working to serve you better" should say "Working to prevent theft". Anyway, nice store, too expensive. This Target location use to be a long time favorite and has fallen away. The staff is amazing and have always been helpful. Where it made me uncomfortable was a man that was going around tonight, person to person, trying to share some Bible/Religious propaganda. I have never been approached like this before but it made my shopping experience very uncomfortable. I am not sure if I will come back to this location when they have solicitors walking around inside. I really wanted to notify a manager to inform them of this person, but was not able to point them out. I just wanted to finish my shopping and leave after this encounter. If I could give this target zero stars I would. Not only was the employee at the retuns completely useless so was the manager. The employee was an older black woman who was wearing a mask and had shorter curly hair. The manager was a heavy day Latina woman who had dark brown hair. First of all I understand that with no recent returns it's store credit, you need my ID and I can only go to a certain amount. When the employee was trying to scan the product I was trying to return and it wasn't working and I asked why all she did was shrug her shoulders.... No explanation. I then had to ask if we can get someone else, she did not try find me a solution. The manager then comes over and tries and explains it isn't letting it return. Finally scans the product and lets me know that it's not in their inventory. THEN proceeds to say "we don't sell this here, i know we use to sell this at rite aid but yeah" in a condescending tone. First of all do you really think I would just randomly walk into a retail location without at least checking if the product is sold there or not. Which by the way Target sells Honest brand diapers. If it's not in store that's one things but these people were completely clueless. I needed to buy product before I left and I had a merch return card that I was using and wanted to use a gift card to be able to pay for everything. I couldn't even do that... why I ask? While in San Diego I happened to visit this store twice. Mostly because when you end up running a conference you end up needing a bunch of things that you run out of. I'm kind of glad I came here the first time as it was a much needed thing nearby that aided us with all of what we needed. I ended up coming back at least once more to pick up the same item as we ran out again. The first run here I grabbed a bunch of things for my room in terms of snacks and since I had a fridge, I was able to get some decent snacks. I had somehow forgotten my toothbrush in the rush to get to San Diego and I picked that up as well. The staff here were helpful, especially since I needed to get ink for a printer and it was locked in a case. I had a few questions since this was the first time I had bought ink in a while. It's not my printer, but it's a work printer and I was surprised how fast this printer went through the ink and caused me to have to come here so often. The store was fairly clean, organized, but not totally stocked. It did take some time to find items. I did get turned around a few times and felt like I was going in circles to find anything I needed. read more

This is the dirtiest Target I have ever stepped foot in. The way this is ran; it feels like you're walking through Walmart. So, ghetto and unorganized. Things out of place and trash on the floor. We even found food boxes open and eaten and left on the shelves. As we were checking out, someone skipped the self-check-out kiosk and ran out of the store. Nice, bro. Stealing stuff. Makes sense though. This location is grimy. And attracts a lower socioeconomic class. This is basically Walmart, but with the name Target. I will give them some credit; they carry some different items than I've never seen at other Target locations. We found these cheese-it puff squares that we have never seen before. We bought those and they were pretty good. We grabbed other snacks for SeaWorld and for the hotel room. We spent a couple hundred bucks on food. Definitely wouldn't come back though. I came into this target early morning to grab some things. A lot of things are in the glass cases because of retail theft so it's better to come in the morning to grab stuff from there because they get really busy and take awhile to get stuff out sometimes which is honestly not there fault so it would be nice if people treated them with more respect. I met Mark who kindly helped me with all of the items I needed. He did take awhile to come because there was other people who needed stuff (not a lot of people but having to help them and open multiple cases can take awhile so I imagine it's much worse when they are busy. Again remember not the employees fault it's retail theft that is the culprit. The setup is nice and clean. Staff is friendly especially Mark! Also just know when you call the staff on the sensor you have to wave your hand underneath and they receive a notification. I kept waving until someone came because I didn't know how it worked. I think that could be a better system if they had something saying you know they got your message and help is in the way so you didn't feel the need to do it over and over. The system is not efficient enough and I think a notification or perhaps a queue showing where you are with help like if there's more people ahead of you in line or not. Especially in busy places. All in all good experience because your wonderful staff outweighed what seems like issues that are above their pay grade so thank you to them. As for the higher ups get it together. Your staff needs more efficient systems and procedures and more support because there are people here treating them like they aren't human because of your flawed system. 1. the guy at register 7 is when i went around 3pm was RUDE- throwing the hangers off the clothes i was buying aggressively and ignoring questions, wild experience cause i'm sure the cashiers usually ask if we want to keep them ANDDDD if i knew it was going to be such a chore i would've just kept them lol. 2. i misplaced my ID at this location (on me) and tried to call the store, selecting almost every department to talk to someone, but it would ring until it would just shut off. still haven't gotten through to guest services. read more

Do not order the pick up option here!! I thought it was supposed to save me time, but it definitely did not. When I first got in line, none of the service representatives even acknowledged me, so I had to ask and make sure that I was at the right place... Even after they confirmed I was at the right place I still stood there for 10 minutes waiting to be helped. Once the guy finally helped me he came out with one out of the four items that I had ordered, so then I had to run around target looking for all of the missing items. Basically wasted time instead of being a quick and easy pick up. This is a service that needs a lot of work and improvement. read more

My local target! Can't say much except I'm a repeat offender on multiple occasions coming here to spend money I shouldn't. As cheese as it sounds you don't go to target to to buy what you need, target tells you what you need. End of story. I don't have recollection of coming here ever spending anything less than a hundred bucks. On the flip side I usually 95% of the time I find what I'm looking for. Ring me up!!! This Target just seems to be going downhill. The store is run by a lot of young kids and most of them have no service standards. Call me old fashion but I just want someone to be helpful. I'm a middle aged woman and had about 10 grocery items. There was only 1 girl working the register on the grocery side of the store near order pick up it's Monday Dec 1st 6:51PM. Nobody was working the only other 2 registers on that side and when I went up she said her register was for pick up orders only and directed me to the front. If I come in for a quick 10 items or less I'd like to know I don't have to go down to the main entrance to pay. This is the 4th time I haven't been able to be helped on this side of the target. I'd like to make sure I can run in grab what's needed and not have to walk down the parking lot to where my cars parked in a location that's not the safest part of town. I don't blame the girl working for not ringing me up I blame management with all the workers they have they can dedicate one person to manage the register near the grocery items. And after all that I walked back thru the store after paying to be safe instead of walking outside and the same girl working the pick up orders was ringing up a line of 6 people. Is it just a pick and choose who to help and not to help situation regardless it certainly left me feeling a certain type of way. read more

Stopped in here twice and I've always found exactly what I needed thanks to the help of the staff in the electronic department. I needed a specific chord for my car/phone and then another dock for my phone. Luckily the employees here are always more than helpful and are actually knowledgeable. I was able to get everything I needed even after poorly explaining what I was looking for. Like most Targets there in a Starbucks inside in the front of the store which is pretty standard. But as far as targets go I'd say this one is pretty nice. read more

Friday, January 10th, 2025: Store is clean and organized however they stopped opening the grocery store side door at 7:30 PM with NO sign. Myself and another customer stood there knocking on the door while workers passed by inside without saying or motioning us to go around. An employee walks up from the parking lot and the other customer asks if the door is going to open and he says "oh those doors stop opening at 7:30". We walk around and I get my two items and go to self check out because there's only 4 lanes open out of 14 lanes. However, there's a rope across it and I ask the lady who seems to be running the self checkout if it was open. She says in a very rude tone "in the front!" So I walk around to the front and look to see and she says again in a very rude and condescending tone "the only one that's working is over there". So I speak to her kindly and say "oh I'm sorry I assumed you meant the line was up front" and she says "it's ok". I get in line and the guy at the self check out is having issues. We are all standing there with 5 other people behind us and he eventually just walks out with his items without paying. So then the person in front of me goes and as we are waiting there, the rude employee decides she's going to open up the other self checkouts WITHOUT informing us who were in line at the only one that was open. So people rush over there including the drunk couple behind me to pay for their items. I didn't realize it was open until I saw them at the end one checking out. I walk over there and people were already at the checkouts so I go back to the one I was at and the lady expresses how rude the employee is. Will never shop at this location ever again ! read more

**I am beyond disappointed with my recent experience at this Target location.** I recently purchased Casa Luna Organic Linen Bedding from here to celebrate moving into a new place. Unfortunately, this bedding gave me bed bugs. As a result, I now have over 100 bites, and I've had to throw away the new mattress I just bought and over $1,000 worth of clothing. This has caused me a lot of stress and expense. I would expect much better quality control from a store like Target, and I hope this issue gets addressed so no one else has to go through this nightmare. read more

This Target used to be a place I could easily enjoy browsing for way too long and spent far too much money. Thanks to crime prevention measures, it's now a nightmare. I know this is the direction many Target have been forced to go thanks to a community who helped themselves to items without paying, but now I can't buy a bottle of vitamins without waiting over 12 minutes for help. Today I flagged down TWO separate workers who kept promising to call someone to unlock the case. Apparently it had to be someone with keys. I rang the button for help multiple times. When someone finally came the bottle of vitamins I wanted to check to see if it had the correct nutrients recommended by my doctor did not have what I needed. Faced with the prospect of having a worker stand there guarding the omegas while I looked at other bottles I gave up. I was too frustrated to attempt the rest of my list in different sections of the store. So, home to Amazon I went. Target - staff up so I don't have to spend 12 minutes waiting to look at an item. This isn't Tiffany's. You used to be a favorite store for browsing. I can't imagine going being desperate enough to go there again. read more

The oddest thing happens every time I shop here and I don't know if shoppers should be aware of something fishy taking place here. My bank immediately flags this target for fraud every time I shop here. I get a call right away to ensure I'm the one using my card. Also, the bathrooms here are filthy. I've worked for target as a cashier in LA. And it's crazy how this white woman treated us today at the self checkout. We had exactly 10 items but it was split orders. It looked big because the cat food was on Clearence so we grabbed 5 boxes. We literally told her it is ten items and she sighed. I told her if it's a problem we can go to a register. Like you're not scanning out items and it's only 10 items literally in total that you could've counted and checked. The service at the Point Loma store has gone down hill. I politely approached a manager about the very slow, slow cashier service and he immediately cut me off to tell me his cashier is autistic. THAT is no one's business, first of all; AND, the cashier's slow service was more about poor training and placement on management's part, not the cashier's medical condition. I also didn't like how the manager (Joel) dismissed me, looked past me and down his nose, and didn't care about my concerns. He was a jerk! Lots of managers hire folks with disabilities, but they jump in and assist and add extra training when necessary. They carefully place them in the right role and they most certainly don't loudly and rudely announce their employees' disabilities in public like Joel did. Management at this Target lacks empathy and compassion for its employees and its customers. I will not return. read more
