It's gotta be tough working at a place like CVS, especially in a location with a lot of foot traffic. I tend to avoid going to CVS, but I like this location primarily because the staff are friendly. They also have a pharmacy, and since the bankruptcy of Rite Aid, there are ten-people-deep lines to pick up medication. They do have three self-checkout lines, but the machines are really finicky and freeze up frequently. There is a large parking lot because it is located in a strip mall, but it is always busy. The best time I have found to go is around 7:00 to 8:00 AM. read more

I had an issue with an order where I used my extrabucks on an item which i was told was unavailable when i got there. When they cancelled my order, I lost the rewards I initially used on the purchase, but they did refund the rewards after communicating the issue. They were understanding and communicative. Keeping it at 3 stars - meh experience Pro: Convenient and reliable with a few quirks! Another spot I frequent close to work. I usually swing by either before work (when it's extra quiet) or during my lunch break to purchase some essentials. I usually check my app for any sales and coupons. It's a game changer if you want to get the best bang for your buck! Con: One annoyance I noticed is locked up cabinets and having to flag down an employee to open it up, but I get it. I know theft is a common occurrence, but if you're not in a rush it shouldn't be too much of an irk. Common purchases with coupons - eye drops, candy, snacks, energy drinks, hair care, cleaners, medicine, and surprisingly accessories! Just keep an eye out for coupons and you'll be surprised on how much you save in a year! One of the main reasons I keep coming back. It's your typical CVS. Nothing groundbreaking. They are no longer open 24 hours so it's great they updated that info. on their page. Everything that has been submitted to this location has been out of stock .... EVERYTHNG every time, including emergency medications. They always have " issues with the prescription too" and I call my provider, and they say everything is fine on their end...call back to CVS and CVS claims it's the provider. I Highly suggest another pharmacy; you won't get your meds on time or at all here. I never had this many issues when I was with Rite Aid. read more

Then when I spoke with the provider she directed me to the kiosk, saw it didn't work, hit it like a bad TV, and told me to go online for an appointment. My review is for minute clinic only. I showed up as a walk in, per the website, in absolute agony from Strep throat. Was met by an abrupt, crass, rushed, impatient lady who told me they were full for the day despite the website saying they were taking walk ins. Been shopping this location for 8+ years but I've had it. I WANT to support local shops and stores!! Yall just make it impossible for people to give you money! :( Came in with a shopping list of beauty/health staples, about $100 worth of inventory needed to purchase. All of it is locked up. Started with moisturizer. Hit the request button and waited over 10 minutes and pressed the Assistance button again and waited some more and no one came. This was enough time to watch an individual take several items that weren't locked up, put them in their backpack, and squirt out the door. Went to a different aisle to see if I could at least find some things I needed that weren't behind glass and everything is. $100 just walked out the door and THIS ISNT EVEN PREVENTING THEFT! Staff always looks overworked and miserable. This is a business model that creates frustration for staff and customers alike and you are losing business from people who are trying to give it to you! This is for the Minute Clinic and the surrounding CVS area in general. I don't use this Pharmacy. I want to thank the Medical Staff at the Minute Clinic for taking such good care of me when I needed a TB shot to do my job. The app has some glitches, but other than that, my visit was very professional. I didn't have to wait long, but I brought a book with me in case I did. I'll be doing home healthcare, and when I told the staff, they were so kind and supportive. Please note that I did pre-schedule an appointment, and I did get an appointment for my return visit; I was not a walk-in. I recommend scheduling appointments if you need to get in. This is one of the nicest CVSs I've been to. The ones in North Park are just downright scary, but unfortunately, I live in that area, and it's convenient from my house. The automated phone system is a nightmare to get through, and when you finally reach a store associate to be transferred to the pharmacy, no one ever answers. You can't even leave a voicemail. Today was an awesome day. I stopped by to grab some skincare essentials. Elena was super friendly and helped us save money! The mighty pimple patch was misplaced and a similar but different product was placed there. We wanted to get the $10 coupon that comes with spending $30. Elena's eagle eye spotted the difference and she handed us the correct product. When we were checking out, we accidentally pressed the wrong button. Malachi was able to help us get the coupon after Elena helped us reprint it. It was such a nice surprise to get this kind of treatment after a long work day. Pharmacy = Hands down the worse customer service, not just once but time after time. They do not open in time. Not able to give you reasons why they do not return their pharmacy calls. They have a line designated for messages. They have never once called me back. read more

You'll request a refill and they'll confirm it, but then you show up to pick it up and they're out of the med. you'll make a vaccine appointment online and then you'll show up and they don't have the vaccine. It's no secret that CVS as a whole has gone downhill. The only difference is that at this location, the pharmacists are even less helpful than the usual subpar service you get at other locations. This positive review is ONLY for Monay the young woman that was working checkout last night. She was on fire-assisting the three self checkouts and running a register. Seriously, she was pivoting to give out bags, answering questions, and quickly ringing up orders. Great job Monay!!! But CVS as a whole!?! What happened? I have always turned to you for scripts to health & beauty but not anymore. The stores are run down, the staff spread thin, and between most of your products locked up and having to self checkout, I only shop in person as a last resort. Convenient location in a strip mall in Mission Valley. We stopped by after having lunch in the same plaza. This location was well-stocked, other than the usual sold out pandemic-related items like disinfecting wipes, bleach, etc. My girl bought some healing hand lotion that is cheaper here than at Target. I grabbed the last bottle of isopropyl alcohol (70%). This location features self checkout registers for customer convenience. Honestly, it seemed like every other transaction still needed the staff to walk around their counter to assist so I do not see the convenience in that. Considering I was only in line for a few moments that is a pretty sad sample of their self checkout usability--knocking off a star for that. Hopefully they will get the kinks worked out soon so it won't be such a painful experience for both the customers and the staff. read more

I have been with CVS for years. sometime in the past year I was given prescriptions that cannot be refilled online or by phone without speaking to a pharmacist. They also will not automatically renew. As CVS's store manager has informed me that there is no way to evade the ever persistent automated prompts I am moving my prescriptions to a provider that answers the phone. I tried to buy several products totaling over $100 and walked out with nothing because the self-check out process is horrible. One of the registers didn't work right so I was told to pick up all of my items and move to another register. I get to the next register and run into issues again. We realize that 3 out of my 5 products would not scan. To top it off I then try to use my $3 off coupon and the register says I didn't buy the brand stated on the coupon. I show the CVS agent who agrees with me.m, but once again needs to do something with the register. Every single time I have come to this CVS around 5am they are not open but rather have this sign posted to call for immediate assistance but they never answer. What's the point of the sign? During the times I do come here when they are actually open, the service has been good but the 24 hr thing is really not cool especially if you have people drive to your store expecting it to be open. From the many CVS stores that are here in San Diego this was one of the worst yet when you look to the many CVS stores, they were the many locations and the ones that helped the many at night and the late call ins for medication that came from the Hospitals and the Doctors office. There were many great memorizes that could be considered as the greatest when you go the CVS stores you could find the great things for the kids and the many types of different types of Ice Cream, and some the great tasting cookies. From my Monday visit to the I was going to the CVS drug store to find the many different size bandages that I need to help with after my stay at Grossmont hospital that I had to find the medicated bandages that had Neosporin I took a look around the whole store that I was unable to find either thing that was needed. When I had entered the store, I had seen no employees that were helping customers yet there was only one female cashier that was working solo at the front register. The many customers that were walking around the store to have a pharmacist ignore me when I had gone to ask a customer question, I was told to come back yet that showed me total rudeness. The time that I had taken the time and walked the store having to look up and down the product Isles to see ones that were stocked and the many empty product areas that can filled with products and the bandages that many people look for to apply antibiotic ointment. The store was not the one that is the best to see not one employee working just seeing only one employee who was working at the front register counting 20 customers there was no others backing her up at the front area. When I was walking the store, they had things that were ready for Easter and the holidays that were coming up with the cosmetics department that was the only department that had the best in display and the product signage that had told me of the many products. Before I left the store I looked for managers there was no one to speak with being in the Mission Valley Hazard center area I departed the store I left the store and headed over to the main Ralphs store where I had the products that had the bandages and the antibiotic ointment. Going to a CVS store that is always there to help in finding the things you need yet this one location was not a place that showed nothing of welcome or customer service. Yeah, this CVS really does deserve the low rating. Ample parking and friendly staff are pluses, but can't make up for the many issues inside. Shelves are visibly dirty and poorly stocked, and drink coolers are often out of service. Item organization is poor, and the register area selection of snacks is jumbled and missing many items. This CVS has a good location, large size and pleasant staff---management needs to step in and fix the cleanliness and inventory problems. read more

My daughter went to the minute clinic at this CVS for a sore throat. After a 10 minute visit and a strep test we were charged $684 on the credit card that was used for what we thought a $20 co pay after we were told our insurance was in network. When insurance refused to pay, they charged us $684 instead of the cash pay price of $130. Numerous attempts to get reimbursed for $550 were met with rudeness and refusal after hours on the phone. What a scam CVS, I transferred all of my families prescriptions to WalMart and will never set foot in a CVS again. read more

Most unorganized CVS. Don't bother coming here. I drove here to buy HP Printer black ink cartridge. I know they sell it, but no employee has a key to unlock the display. Why lock a product when no one keeps track of a key?! Shouldn't that be part of standard operation to check that all locked items can be sold? The cashier just looked at me and said "I don't have a key and it's only me here." The manager will be in the afternoon. What kind of business is this?
