This CVS was super shady, and they did not have a functional bathroom for customers.

I came in on March 19th around 5pm to get a few toiletries and my prescriptions. The pharmacy line was wrapped around the stanchions and hardly moved during my 15-20 min visit. I skipped that and very quickly realized that I couldn't get a single f***in item on my list, without a store associate unlocking the cage for each individual item. Sandra came to help me, super quick and efficient, and she was the only aspect of my visit that made this review have ANY stars. She had to walk with me to each aisle so I could get eyeliner, dry shampoo, razors, Jameson, and the entire time, there were other customers waiting for items too, because you can't add more obstacles and have less employees. To be honest, I needed more but I was so annoyed at the locked cages and the need to drag an underpaid employee around the store with me like I was shopping at Bergdorf's with a black card, that I didn't get what I came for. Because I'm using coupons at CVS. This whole dynamic is gross and off putting. The CEO of CVS (David Joyner) made $17.8 MILLION DOLLARS in 2024. Hire security to prevent theft, (one guard at the door like Costco, 24/7, problem solved, figure it the f*ck out) you can staff appropriately, and maybe people will stop buying everything on GD Amazon. Your whole business model is foolish AF. Shout out to Sandra for her assistance today, sad I couldn't get my prescriptions and I'll probably have them sent elsewhere cause whoever is running this establishment is either a silly goose, or corporate is to blame. Either way, somebody is bad at their job, and I promise it's not the employees on the floor.

They NEVER Called my Doctor to confirm my prescription and - because of that - I did not get my prescription that day. They transferred the prescription to the CVS pharmacy nearest me - but, because they never verified it - they never transferred the prescription properly, either. So I spent the rest of the afternoon phoning my local CVS pharmacy: trying to find out what had happened to my prescription!! Don't go to this pharmacy - they dropped the ball, and didn't do any follow up at all - and I went to bed without my medication. I won't be back to the Mission Valley Target's pharmacy!!! I suggest you avoid them also - Especially if you expect to get your prescription the SAME Day! _________________________________________________________________________ Update: these incompetent people at CVS couldn't fill my prescription in TWO Days - so I had my Doctor Fax the prescription to Walgreens instead. Walgreens fixed me up with my pills in 2 hours - something this CVS pharmacy couldn't manage to do in TWO Whole Days!!!! CVS lost my business. I'll NEVER take ANY Prescription to any CVS Pharmacy ever again!!!! These dumb people just cost the chain thousands of dollars worth of future business - and they don't know - and they don't care. Too Bad!!!! I have never seen a more incompetent, and stupid, pharmacy in my entire life. Don't go there: they do not know how to fill prescriptions!!!

I had a really upsetting and uncomfortable experience at this Walgreens. I went in to purchase a…read more10-pack of insulin syringes -- something Walgreens clearly states on their own website is allowed in California without a prescription, as long as you're purchasing 30 or fewer. I was simply picking them up for a family member. When I got to the staff at the pharmacy register, I greeted them and then stated if I can purchase a bag of insulin syringes for my family member. I was looked up and down by the employee, who then walked over to the pharmacist. He came back and told me they couldn't sell the syringes to me unless I had that family member's prescription. I wasn't there to debate policies -- I was doing a favor for a diabetic family member and felt completely judged and dismissed in the process. Feeling embarrassed and confused, I checked Walgreens' website outside, and sure enough -- it says in plain English that in California, syringes can be sold over the counter without a prescription, up to 30 units. I went back in and spoke to a manager, showed them the policy, and all they could do was point to the small print that says it's "ultimately up to the pharmacist's discretion." Here's the bigger issue: this location is surrounded by a large homeless population, and I understand the concern about selling syringes to individuals struggling with addiction. But even denying clean needles to addicts does more harm than good. A policy like this, when enforced without context or compassion, isn't protective -- it's dangerous. This pharmacist has either deprived a diabetic of life-saving medical supplies, or pushed a desperate addict closer to sharing a potentially disease-infected syringe just to survive another day. Either way, it's a failure in basic public health ethics. Denial doesn't stop drug use -- it just makes it riskier and more inhumane. If Walgreens wants to empower its pharmacists to make case-by-case decisions, fine -- but don't advertise clear and accessible over-the-counter availability if the actual in-store experience is entirely different. This experience was humiliating, harmful, and disappointing.

Thank you! Unfortunately, scheduling of delivery can be a hit or miss. They use a third party delivery company. That is where my issue happens. The announced ETA for the delivery is almost never the actual time of arrival. For example, I have been told "we informed the delivery driver to deliver after 1pm. So please be home at 1pm." Today they arrived banging on my door at 10am. I was amidst an important proctored video final exam for school that I could not step away from. I am an online college-student. If a disturbance happens, I would have to stop the entire exam and reschedule. I have two dogs that go wild at the sound of the door being knocked. The delivery person would not stop banging my door. This is not the first time. The last time the delivery person screamed at me from behind the security gate, "I have all your medications, open this gate, I can't open it!" First of all, privacy please regarding delivery of prescriptions. Second, code to gate is provided, and third, delivery is 5 hours early." It is easy to appreciate an early delivery. However, an agreed schedule of delivery is important for people like me who actually have a schedule to follow . Again, Pride Pharmacy and its staff alone are amazing. It's the third party delivery people that needs a little more customer service training.
