This CVS was super shady, and they did not have a functional bathroom for customers.

Only one ding - no Starbucks Double Shot energy drinks, which should be stocked in high volume at a CVS - front staff helped me look but they were out of the energy drink. Aside from that, this 24 hour CVS is great if you need late night service.

I came in on March 19th around 5pm to get a few toiletries and my prescriptions. The pharmacy line was wrapped around the stanchions and hardly moved during my 15-20 min visit. I skipped that and very quickly realized that I couldn't get a single f***in item on my list, without a store associate unlocking the cage for each individual item. Sandra came to help me, super quick and efficient, and she was the only aspect of my visit that made this review have ANY stars. She had to walk with me to each aisle so I could get eyeliner, dry shampoo, razors, Jameson, and the entire time, there were other customers waiting for items too, because you can't add more obstacles and have less employees. To be honest, I needed more but I was so annoyed at the locked cages and the need to drag an underpaid employee around the store with me like I was shopping at Bergdorf's with a black card, that I didn't get what I came for. Because I'm using coupons at CVS. This whole dynamic is gross and off putting. The CEO of CVS (David Joyner) made $17.8 MILLION DOLLARS in 2024. Hire security to prevent theft, (one guard at the door like Costco, 24/7, problem solved, figure it the f*ck out) you can staff appropriately, and maybe people will stop buying everything on GD Amazon. Your whole business model is foolish AF. Shout out to Sandra for her assistance today, sad I couldn't get my prescriptions and I'll probably have them sent elsewhere cause whoever is running this establishment is either a silly goose, or corporate is to blame. Either way, somebody is bad at their job, and I promise it's not the employees on the floor.

They NEVER Called my Doctor to confirm my prescription and - because of that - I did not get my prescription that day. They transferred the prescription to the CVS pharmacy nearest me - but, because they never verified it - they never transferred the prescription properly, either. So I spent the rest of the afternoon phoning my local CVS pharmacy: trying to find out what had happened to my prescription!! Don't go to this pharmacy - they dropped the ball, and didn't do any follow up at all - and I went to bed without my medication. I won't be back to the Mission Valley Target's pharmacy!!! I suggest you avoid them also - Especially if you expect to get your prescription the SAME Day! _________________________________________________________________________ Update: these incompetent people at CVS couldn't fill my prescription in TWO Days - so I had my Doctor Fax the prescription to Walgreens instead. Walgreens fixed me up with my pills in 2 hours - something this CVS pharmacy couldn't manage to do in TWO Whole Days!!!! CVS lost my business. I'll NEVER take ANY Prescription to any CVS Pharmacy ever again!!!! These dumb people just cost the chain thousands of dollars worth of future business - and they don't know - and they don't care. Too Bad!!!! I have never seen a more incompetent, and stupid, pharmacy in my entire life. Don't go there: they do not know how to fill prescriptions!!!

I stood in line for 5 minutes waiting to check in (early morning on 12/3/25) while he just looked at me and then purposely ignored me, not saying one word for 5 minutes while he typed away on his computer. No acknowledgment, no nothing. (Mind you there were no other patients at the office) I still patiently waited and finally a very kind woman came from the back asked the man what was going on, he shrugged his shoulders and she very kindly apologized on his behalf. She refused to tell me the information, using patient privacy act as she so called validate reason. Instead, she can only disclose the information to patient him or herself. After I consult a numerous Pharmacist managers cross San Diego county, RITE Aid and CVS, the feedback is what Pride Pharmacy's pharmacist's response to me was strange and unreasonable. I fully support patient privacy act, but as a pharmacy manager ( she told me via 2nd call, she is a manager ) you have to evaluate what type of questions were asked. The question I asked was a simple counseling question. They way she handled this situation indicates an inefficient operating process. We want to support local small business, but the way she handled this small piece of information request was inadequate. I'm not surprised this pharmacy only has 3.5 star review. If the owner of Pride Pharmacy care about customer feedback. Please make sure your internal management level is trained on how to conduct business in a more efficient way.

This review is for their photo services…read more My first order was a batch of 5x7 postcards double-sided on cardstock with rounded corners. I was so sad because their printer didn't seem to work right and each card had a streak in the middle of it. However, they were so nice about it and gave me a refund without issues. I was sad because I had to go to Walgreens to put in the same order due to timing but I will tell you, even though my CVS order had some color issues going on (which was clearly due to something that is not usual with the machine), the CVS version of the same order was a lot more clear and crisp compared to the order I put in for Walgreens. Also, Walgreens puts their company logo on the cards even though it's not part of your design and you paid for it! CVS does not put their brand on your custom card photo orders. The font and photos on my botched CVS order looked so crisp and clean but sadly that darn color streak was not going to be able to be fixed in time, otherwise I would have stuck with CVS. The next week I took a chance and put in another order with CVS but this time it was for a couple of large posters - one 24"x36" and a smaller 12"x14". And I gotta tell you the quality was excellent and I could not be happier. The text was so clear and the photos came out really nice - the color saturation was excellent. I was so happy because I was a little nervous about how they would turn out. Also, I also want to say that the employees are so nice at this location. I appreciate their help and they genuinely care that my orders came out nice and that I was happy. I highly recommend their printing services. The quality is by far way better than Walgreens (the one in San Carlos anyway) and the staff are the nicest folks. Thank you CVS!

They have lost prescriptions from their system, sometimes seem unable to refill in a timely manner, cannot get my scripts synced to save their lives (I typically get a text from them a few times a week letting me know something else is ready,) and, just today, they requested a prescription "refill" from my doctor that neither my doctor nor I asked for and that I do not want. When I called to ask about this, I had the "most El Cajon CVS" experience ever - I called to leave a message for the pharmacist and was told that because the store is closed for lunch... I couldn't leave a voice mail. What? Does anyone there know how voice mail even works? Individually, each staffer seems very nice, very friendly, but somewhere in the system, stuff is breaking down. The website is one of the worst interfaces, as well.
