Needed a medication that I left at home. I was on an impromptu trip to a dr appt for a family member at UCSD Medical Offices across the street. The area is known for no parking availability, residential parking permits, and paid public parking everywhere. I drove around and found this CVS and parked in the private lot. I noticed that this paid private lot is for CVS customers (up to 45mins free for customers). There are 2-4 handicapped parking spots here near the front entrance. I went inside and was greeted by Raquel at the front register. She was able to help me by directing me to the aisle that I needed. My whole experience was great. They have some Valentine's Day items available but I think that they are still getting them out to the shelves. Raquel had excellent customer service and she made my visit wonderful. She was terribly condescending, trying to embarrass me. If this is the way you want to represent yourself, it's probably time to move on. One Star - Disorganized Operations, Missing Paid Items, and an Unacceptable Customer Experience I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this experience warrants it. I stopped in to print photos on a Saturday evening while trying to get home to my family. I had a hot pizza in the car and plans to spend the evening with my wife and children before church in the morning. What should have been a simple in-and-out photo pickup turned into a prolonged, frustrating ordeal. The Kodak photo kiosk repeatedly froze due to Wi-Fi connection issues. After pressing "continue," the system stalled, retried, disconnected, and ultimately forced me to proceed without a receipt just to move forward. This process alone added roughly 25 minutes to my visit. Meanwhile, a long line had developed at the register, and the entire situation felt poorly managed and disorganized. When I finally received my order and paid at the front register, I was handed a bag with the photos. I later discovered that 3 photos were missing from the order -- including irreplaceable images of my son's first steps. The receipt clearly reflects that I paid for 12 photos, yet only 9 were provided. I am now forced to return to the store solely to recover items I already paid for, which adds yet another unnecessary task to an already full professional and family schedule. To be clear: I am not here to attack the cashier personally. He appeared new and overwhelmed, and I understand that entry-level employees are often placed in difficult situations without adequate training. That said, the interaction was negative, the communication was poor, and the overall handling of the situation lacked professionalism and basic attention to detail. The environment itself was also deeply uncomfortable. While using the photo kiosk, there were individuals outside knocking on the windows with luggage, attempting to get in. The store felt unsafe and chaotic. I am genuinely grateful I did not have my children with me. Between: * The malfunctioning photo system * The excessive delay * The missing paid items * The lack of clear assistance * And the overall atmosphere of the store ...this location demonstrates a serious breakdown in basic customer service, training, and operational control. I believe in grace and patience, and I understand that people are human. However, businesses are still responsible for providing a safe, functional, and respectful experience. Right now, this location falls far short of that standard. I want to be clear that I am not unreasonable, and I am open to this being made right. If corporate or store management is willing to address the missing photos, compensate for the time lost, and take accountability for the operational failures during this visit, I am willing to update this review accordingly. However, it is not reasonable to expect customers to absorb repeated system failures, incomplete orders, and then invest additional time returning to fix mistakes they did not create. When a customer pays for a service, that service should be delivered accurately and without creating additional burdens. Customers should be aware before choosing to come here. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the training, system reliability, and in-store environment. read more

The pharmacist told me she could not order it: "only a Manager can order things, come back next week". Needed an allergy medication but it's locked and they didn't have the key. I'm sorry, but this facility has reached the end of it's run as a clean and healthy pharmacy. The property is perfect for development and it's a shame it's squandering as this filthy pile. This CVS could better exist at the base of a multi story apartment complex. In a fresh new space. The parking lot has the worst structure, it encourages urination and defecation. It's an all around disaster at this CVS. The building is uninviting from all sides, it has no comfortable entrance. It's an awkward unaccommodating gauntlet of poles and curbs and chains and ramps. The interior looks untouched since 2001 probably. It's rough and feels dirty and everything is overpriced as is usual with CVS. Everything here is available at other nearby stores. read more

I am an UberEats driver. I received a hit for 3 deliveries from this CVS on, June 25, 2025, around 9:25pm. When I arrived I immediately started to search for the 11 items from the 3 person deliver. I had 9 items that I had sat at the front counter to the side. I had 2 more items left. A Cerve Anti-Itch Lotion and a Coco Body Butter on isle 2. The employee at the front of the store made an announcement that I had 10 minutes left to make a purchase because the store was about to close. As I began walking up to the counter to purchase my orders I was told that the last transaction had just taken place and I was not allowed to to purchase anything. All of my items were on the counter. I told the cashier that this was an UberEats order and that I have all of my items. I was told " We are closing and there will be no more transaction due to an update." I had been in the store for over 20 minutes putting items at the front counter, two at a time, for 20 minutes. I walked out and got into my car. As I pulled out of the parking spot and approached the Washington Street the two cashiers were walking out to their cars. They had closed down their cash registers before everyone in the store could purchase their items. I have never been pushed out of a store so fast. I had all of my items at the counter. They could have let me purchase the items. I was out of $30 delivery because of the two cashier. Worst CVS! Due to the lack of employees at CVS they probably won't do anything. read more

HOBO SHOWED HIS DICK INSIDE THE STORE. i was in line at around 2:50pm. i noticed all homeless people in the store. one in a wheeled chair the pharmacist helped out three homeless before she noticed me, i stood at the front of the counter for about 10 mins before the pharmacy technician said something then the pharmacist said one moment and was still making me wait another 5 minutes goes by and the homeless in the wheeled chair behind me has his dick out he's masturbating inside the store directly behind me, he was in a hospital gown burping and smelling nasty. i cant believe the dumb pharmacist would help the homeless who are literally exposing themselves and masturbating over the customers such as myself who waited patiently and was very polite. she was an asian with glasses and as a professional pharmacist she was completely inconsiderate of the situation i ended up going and leaving the store, not worth waiting inside that store for a prescription. i finally left at 3:10 and realized that the store really needs to go not only are there tons of homeless outside in the front of the store, but you have to go inside to fill a new prescription and risk getting a STD standing next to the hobos waiting for ur turn read more

Fine CVS has all the things but the parking is truly terrible and it takes the convenience out of it - there's a new CVS store on university ave that I'd recommend instead of this one, but it's a shame because locationally from the hospital this one would be the first closest pharmacy. read more

Have lived in the area for 5 years. Moved away and then came back. This CVS is even worse. The list is long but include; incredibly horrible staffing in the pharmacy. This location is clean and organized. The liqour location is blocked off and a bit of a maze, as I'm sure they are making it that way on purpose. There is quite a few transients whom reside in the parking lot and on the side of the building. What is awesome is as long as you are shopping at CVS, parking is free - while limited it is free nonetheless. I had placed a photo order and have been to this location a couple of times while in the area. Have noticed the big changes. Staff has always been extremely friendly and answering all questions I had, especially looking for specific items. read more

This is my local CVS. So, if I'm in a bind I'm going to stop by here or the Walgreens around the corner. The pharmacy staff is helpful and they always inform me if there are additional coupons available for something I'm picking up for the family. I rarely go inside because the store does feel a little stuffy, and there are usually 1-2 homeless people hanging out near the door. However, I had a wonderful experience today with the pharmacy drive through and wanted to share. Salam was the friendliest employee that I have worked with at the pharmacy. He was professional and went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service with a smile in the pharmacy drive through. This used to be my regular CVS and I have spent thousands of dollars here in the 13 years I have lived in the neighborhood. I will never shop here again. This place has issues, and I reported those issues on the ANONYMOUS electronic survey they sent me via email. The next time I visited the store I was met with hostility by two of the people who work there for giving them a "bad review" (7 out of 10 stars). How did they know it was me? I blew them off and went on my way, but got the same bad attitude a few more times that I went in to shop. The last time I was in there, the manager said to me, "Well, I hope you will give us a 10 out of 10 THIS time." Huh? I asked him, "How do you know what I wrote on a survey?" Then he told me, "We played back the video and saw it was you." So, this "anonymous" survey - tied to your receipt - comes with a time stamp on it so that CVS corporate can know who was working at the time the survey taker was in the store. The manager took the time stamp, rolled back the video tapes of store surveillance to the exact date and time of my purchase to figure out that it was I who left the 7 out of 10 stars review. He thought he was being clever by telling me this (I doubt the guy is capable of coming up with such a plan himself) and the clerk ringing me up chuckled in a "Gotcha!" kind of way. Anyone else would have left the store hanging his head in shame after this. What did I do? I went home and took another survey they sent me on that most recent visit. I do hope you like the 5 stars I gave you. In a time when "everybody gets a participation trophy," people expect 10 out of 10 for just showing up. No, your store has issues. Just look at what people are saying here on Yelp. Address these issues and you will get better reviews. That's how it works. It's pretty simple, no? I personally have witnessed a homeless guy walk in only to run out with stolen merchandise. I had called the day before to inquire if a pair of glasses had been found. The person I spoke with (Ron) confirmed that they had, and was friendly and accommodating. However, when I went to pick them up the next day, the same person was not as friendly. It was a confusing experience. Every time I shop here I feel very uncomfortable. It's not the homeless individuals skulking about that make me feel this way. It's the miserable employees that are clearly underpaid whom make me want to leave as soon as I walk in. I don't blame them as much as I blame who is in charge of paying people a livable wage. If people are paid the absolute minimum to do a job, why would they want to provide a superior customer service experience? They are counting the hours until they don't have to be there anymore and couldn't care less about learning coupon policies or just doing something other than what the computer tells them to do. Train your employees better and pay them more; you'd be surprised what caring for your employees will do for their mental health, well being, and work ethic. I love everything about this place except that there are always transients/vagrants hanging around outside the store that frequently accost customers as they are coming & going, so I took one star off of my review. I recommend avoiding this CVS. Maybe it's a result of the transients in the area but customer service at the pharmacy is terrible. They failed to pick up or process a scrip from another CVS pharmacy which was out of a medication. I heard the pharmacist at the first CVS call the second CVS to make sure the medication was in stock. It took me about 20 minutes to Uber from the first CVS to the second. After waiting 15 minutes in line, I was told they had not received the scrip. The pharmacy assistant fiddled on the company for a couple and found the scrip. He said it would take 30 minutes for it to be ready for pickup. In total, this was more than an hour after the scrip had been sent over. read more

My appointment was at 245 and it is 345 I had my previous shots at another CVS and it was so fast and smooth and a good system.
