Wish I could give zero stars. Customer service at this pharmacy is almost always unfriendly at best. Now because of Covid 19, they have plastic draped in front of the counter that you have to physically move to be able to talk to the tech. The card reader is sitting on a makeshift table in a way that you can't put your card in it unless you pick the whole thing up. In a time when we need to be limiting the things we all are touching, these idiots have made it necessary to touch more than we ever have had to. Time to finally search for a new pharmacy. Your COVID testing process is a joke. I had an appointment but sat in my car in line for more than 40 minutes before I got to the window. Then, the lab showed up and emptied the test deposit box - that took several minutes - then I had to wait for someone to come out and repack the box with ice, which took several minutes more! That whole process could have been much better coordinated. Finally, originally I was told my test results would be available in 2 to 4 days... but here I am on day 7 without results. I will never give CVS my business again. You failed! read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - RIVERSIDE, California

The pharmacy here is really really BAD. They are disorganized, inefficient and have very very poor CUSTOMER SERVICE. I filled a prescription for a new maintenance medication and called for a refill a week ahead. The automated service questioned if I needed the medication right away and I answered "No". So, the automated machine advised me that the medication will be ready by Dec. 22nd. I forgot to pick up the medication so I dropped by very early on Dec. 24 since I took the last one. There was a notice in the drive-by window that the pharmacist will not be in until 12:30 pm so, I decide to come back. I came back around 1:15 pm and was surprised to find out that my medicine was not refilled. I will have to come back after over 30 minutes since the pharmacist will be going out to "lunch". They cannot dispense medications without the pharmacist's signature. I got very irrate. This is not acceptable. First of all, "Why is it not ready?" I called way in advance to have my medicine ready for pick-up. Secondly, didn't the pharmacist just arrived? Now, he's going out again? Thirdly, why can't the pharmacist Ahmad S. stay for a "few" minutes just to quickly sign my medication? Is that hard to do to bend a little backwards since he was still there? What's worst Ahmad S. condescendingly asked me if I spoke with a live person because the automated service is not reliable. REALLY? Is he for real? Why would CVS set-up an automated service if it's not reliable, not efficient and USELESS? The pharmacist Ahmad S. needs a class in "customer service". Arguing and aggravating the situation instead of fixing it. Very unprofessional! Shame on you! I would not trust you as a pharmacist! This pharmacist has the worst attitude and customer service of any pharmacy we have ever been to! My husband has been going to this pharmacy since turning 65 and starting on Medicare. Not by choice! We always loved Rite-aide in the town center. We have never gone to this CVS when the staff in the pharmacy has ever been nice. We don't know if they are understaffed, but we've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were just having a bad day. In the past year, they have never greeted the customers with anything nice. Their lines are always long both inside and out in the drive-through. The one star is for the rest of the staff. There is a woman in the Pharmacy name is Cecelia, and she is extremely rude and unprofessional first it started with a phone call that she had to make a courtesy call to my grandmother. when I went and picked up a prescription, they charged me for it even though my grandma's prescriptions are all free I questioned it, but they said that they couldn't do anything about it. So I paid and left the next day. They have my grandmas phone on file so they call her and tell her that it was their mistake and that we weren't supposed to get charged for it. Cecilia was the one who called my grandmother and when my grandma complained about it, Cecilia said and I quote "oh I'm not calling to take your complaints". This is extremely rude and extremely unprofessional anyway now comes today I go in to pick up a new prescription and Cecelia is at the drive-through window. There's a window as well as a tube where you can send and receive prescriptions. I have not only dropped off, but picked up prescriptions from that side, and I've never had issues with picking up prescriptions from that side before when she answered, she said, "oh hi, are you here for pick up" I said no I was there for pick up. She said "oh we don't do pick ups here only drop offs" and before I could even finish my sentence which was "I have picked up here before no issues. What happened? What's the change", she cut me off and said, "thank you please go to the other window". Who does she think she is? The customer service at this pharmacy is beyond horrible. I have used this location since I moved back to Riverside a year ago. There is never a time of day that there isn't a line waiting at the pharmacy, 3 to 5 people is not unusual. The problem is a total lack of management, there are 5 employees working yet only one is serving customers. The other employees seem to be using their time for personal conversations completely ignoring the line of customers waiting to be served. I know this is not an isolated incident, yesterday the gentleman in line in front me made the remark he hoped I brought a lunch. 30 minuets later I was done, I walked out, without my meds. People that work here are jerks and very insensitive. It took me an hour to get someone on the phone to ask about refilling an antibiotic when I was told the dr doesn't do refills there. That id have to be seen again... When the dr at the minute clinic herself said to call her if my bladder infection came back and she would fill a different antibiotic. And now they want me to pay another 100$?! For a different form of a medication for something I've already been seen for?! I am in pain. I just want my medicine. Everyone there is clueless. Typically, I always visit the CVS inside Target near Canyon Springs, Riverside -- which I have never been disappointed at. I was sick on a Wednesday and visited the Minute Clinic and was treated by an amazing RN -- I have no complaints about the Minute Clinic inside CVS. My complaint was the lack of professionalism that the pharmacy department of this CVS displays for its customers. On Wednesday, the RN from Minute Clinic forwarded my prescription to the pharmacy a few feet away from it. She prescribed a specialty shampoo that I was informed would be available the following day -- which I understood because it is a shampoo that is not carried at all times. I visit the following day after work (around 5:30) and I'm told they still have not received it, even though they had assured me it was going to be available then. I cannot go during the weekend so I go the following Monday -- I wait in like for quite sometime as there were about five customers ahead of me. When I get to the counter, I'm told it still has not been processed and she will have the pharmacist expedite this prescription. I get out of line and approximately a minute later, my name gets called on the intercom and I have to get back in line, with seven people ahead this time and the CVS working not acknowledging me in line once again. In total, it took about 40 minutes for me to get a prescription that should have been ready 4 days before. I would not recommend this location to anyone unless you must absolutely go here -- there are more pharmacies that will focus on the customer and not be as extremely understaffed as this location. It seems like the manager does not care about the pharmacy unit as I witnessed the pharmacy staff ask for help and he walked away from her, even though it seemed like the whole pharmacy staff was swamped. read more

Minute Clinic is friendly and effective. I had to take a TB test for employment and was in and out both times; I went as soon as they opened. Pharmacy wasn't the fastest, but I would probably go inside rather than wait at the drive-thru. All-around staff is friendly. read more

There are not enough employees at this location. I waited almost 15 minutes at the pickup window for a prescription that was ready hours prior to my coming in. On my prior visit I waited for 25 minutes in the drive thru for 1 prescription. Absolutely ridiculous. The staff is kind, but the service time is not acceptable. The best employee here is Tiffany ( i think thats her name I always forget) shes the blonde with tattoos who works the front and is now training at the pharmacy. Everytime i am there she remembers exactly the reason i was there the last time and makes sure i am always happy (which with my prescriptions can be tricky). I admit, I have had a few frustrating visits with this particular CVS, but they must be trying because today's services were actually really good! I couldn't get in to my regular doctor, so I looked into this Minute Clinic. After signing in thru the kiosk, the Nurse Practitioner saw me immediately. She really listened to my complaints/symptoms, then did a basic examination. She logged everything in electronically, including 2 prescriptions that she sent to the pharmacy next door (although, you can choose other pharmacies) This was late morning. While I walked around the store waiting for the Rx to be ready, a manager and an associate each asked me how I was (really sick) and if they could help me with anything. I would say my Rx was ready in less than 10 minutes and the pharmacy staff were helpful and polite. I'm sure when they're really busy, personalities can change, but today they were great. I felt with all the negative reviews out there, I needed to take the time to give them credit for improvement. read more

So incredibly frustrated and disappointed (and DONE) with CVS!! Four (4) times in the past 2 weeks now, my doctor sent in an e-prescription to the same CVS, and all four times the CVS stated they "lost" it and to have the doctor resubmit it again. One of the people behind the pharmacy counter told me this last time that they lose the e-prescriptions ALL THE TIME and to just have my doctor call it in or write me a paper copy to avoid any further confusion. Wait. WHAT. So where in the HELL are the first four that my doctor sent??!! Even my doctor is getting upset at this blatant stupidity by CVS!! It's not even just this latest Rx I'm having problems with. The last FIVE (5) I have tried to pick up, each one was either submitted incorrectly to my insurance, and/or was "misplaced" and had to be called in a second or third time because CVS lost it. (All at this 491 E Alessandro location!!) This both wastes my time (having to call CVS and my doctor several times to get something filled), and also MY HEALTH when you don't fill something until WEEKS after I saw a doctor!! Maybe I should just come and stay by the Rx counter in your stores sick as a dog to make your employees uncomfortable too?! I am, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, pulling EVERY single prescription OUT of CVS, and am taking my business elsewhere. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable!! If I could give this place ZERO stars right now I would, but ONLY because of the pharmacy. Contrary to the prior review I have NEVER had an issue with the "Asian" guy at the pharmacy. I have also NEVER had a bad experience here with the rest of the staff from the store. However, the pharmacy people tonight were a joke. Approximately 5:15 this evening I dropped off 4 prescriptions (for me, and my three kids) and I was told it would be about two hours. Right before 8 pm (mind you, this is now giving them almost THREE hours to fill the prescriptions) I show up to pick up. "Jessica" (if that is even her name) asks me for the birth date and I inform her that I am picking up for 4 people. She says "OK? Give me a minute." She leaves then comes back and says something along the lines of "I'm sorry, but is there any way you can pick up the prescriptions tomorrow instead of today?" And I said "No, my kids are sick and I came here three hours ago to drop it off and I was told two hours." (Mind you, if I would have known it would have been an issue I would have driven to another pharmacy. And my four year old hasn't slept in almost two nights because the unfortunate cough he has had.) She then says "Well who do you need it for the most?" (Because apparently I have to choose now) and I said my sons and my name. She says "Both?" And I said yes. She then tells me to hold on. Now HERE is the freaking kicker. As "Jessica" goes to ask the other lady who is working ("Jessica" said her name is "Claudia", we will see about that tomorrow when I speak to the manager), "Jessica" forgets to turn off the microphone. So for nearly FIFTEEN minutes I get to listen to them talk crap about me and my kids. It goes a little like this. Jessica: "She says she needs the prescriptions for her and her son. she has like a group of kids, its ridiculous." (YES, APPARENTLY THREE KIDS IS A GROUP!!) Claudia: "Ugh. Really? It's not going to kill them to go ONE night?" (What kind of a shi**y pharmacist says that? My son is FOUR and he needs his antibiotics. Otherwise the DOCTOR would not have prescribed them. Common sense, right?) Of course they continue to talk crap, mimicking me by saying "Of course she cant wait!", and "What a joke!" THEN someone asks "Claudia" if I am covered and you hear "Claudia" say "Oh well, who cares. Just give it to her if she wants it so bad! If it comes back and she isn't covered that's her fault because she didn't want to wait. She can pay for it." And then she LAUGHS!!!! Shortly after this they realize the microphone was on the ENTIRE time and it gets shut off. Then "Jessica" comes over and has me sign a paper for the prescription and pay for the cough meds that are for my child. After she gives me my medication I asked for the corporate number and for the name of the lady who filled my prescription and continuously talked crap about me and my CHILDREN the WHOLE TIME while I SAT THERE AND WAITED PATIENTLY. She just looked at me (because I am sure she already knew I had overheard the entire thing. She goes over to the "Asian" guy and asks him, then comes back to me and says they do not have corporates number. I said "You don't have corporates number? give me a break. And what was the name of whichever one of you girls was running their mouth the entire time while your guys mic was on?" She gave me a mean look and with an attitude she says "Did it sound like me?" and I said "Not the rest of it, but part of it, yea!" (because the comment she made about my "group of kids" and "how ridiculous it is that they are sick") Anyways, she finally said it was Claudia, but she said it pretty hesitantly so I doubt that is even true. Then she gave me her name "Jessica", but again who knows if that is true. This is the BIGGEST joke of a pharmacy that I have EVER been to and you better believe corporate and EVERY review website will hear about this. I want an apology from "Claudia" and "Jessica" and they both NEED to be reprimanded for trash talking customers while at work. Especially "Claudia" and her nasty attitude towards patients. Oh, and I was NEVER asked if I would like to speak with a pharmacist about my prescriptions. And if there is a Chavez family out there who did not get their prescriptions tonight, I am sorry. I decided to use CVS because it's close to my work place but man their service in the pharmacy department sucks. My review isn't about one or two visits. Whether it's through the drive-thru or walk-in the pharmacy techs always seemed annoyed, I get it it gets busy you have rx to fill but man request a cashier to help out or deal with it cause it's part of the job. More then once they haven't had my medicine in stock ok I get it you run out but how about a text, call, email or smoke signal. This last time I got the excuse that 4th of July was on Thursday so it backed up the delivery. A week later nothing, I called in cause I was out already and they had no idea when they would get it. Ok no problem, one of the previous times some had offered to check another cvs to see if I could pick up there, so I asked if they could see if the CVS by my house had it. I was really shocked when she told me no that the best idea was for me to find another pharmacy like Rite Aid or Walgreens to get my RX filled cause they don't know when it would be available with them. Ok so CVS doesn't want my business got it! Wait time if you call can be fairly quick but I have had incidents that I did. Wait up to 30 minutes to get helped. Again i simply used them cause they were so close to work but lesson learned they have enough business they are referring out to the competition lol. read more

Checked in and was in the exam room within a few minutes. The nurse practitioner was thorough with her assessment and diagnosed my illness very quick. I enjoy coming in to do just basic deals. Not a hard couponer since they really turn strict on all couponers. Only have had one bad experience with a cvs coupon.Thats why i took a star, other than that the cashiers are always nice and attentive, yes it gets busy and sometimes they are short staffed but they dont rush you when you are checking out. read more
