Today I went to go to my doctor to come off my antidepressant because I found out I am 5 and a half weeks pregnant. He said it's best if i just quit cold turkey, but that he will give me a prescription to help with the withdraw symptoms. So I decided that i would have my boyfriend drive me to pick up my meds. It was about 6:30 when we arrived. We had the prescription paper in hand and figured it would take 30 minutes because I haven't been to this pharmacy before. There were about 3 other people in line waiting for their meds. The lady basically said they were too busy and denied filling my prescription which I think is complete bogus. I looked it up and CVS doesn't close until 10pm. I truly feel like the lady was just being rude and lazy. People need their medications and to be denied for such a silly reason truly baffles me and I will not be coming back to this pharmacy. And to the lady I hope the same thing happens to you! read more

Melissa called me to figure out some problems with my rx and she was so sweet and pleasant to talk to and helped me get my meds that I needed TODAY. Arrived an hour later and it was ready. Seth helped me check out. I got a flu shot as well while I was there(unplanned, quick and easy), done by (looked like it said intern on nametag). They all had a sense of urgency and helpfulness. I've used this location a few times for prescription, I've told them about an address error several times and have asked them to fix it. They have now attached my son's name to this address and he has never lived in Oceanside, Ca. I really don't think this store is interested in repeat business. read more

I usually go her to print my photos for scrapbooking. They recently remodeled the phot kiosk area and reduce it from 3 moniters to 2. Whenever I arrive after dinner, the in seconds option is not available but the one hour is. The one good thing is they aren't very busy and my prints usually are still ready in seconds. read more

OK. I'm trying it again. This time the Drive Up. The woman who opened the window seemed nice enough, my prescription had been called in 20 hours earlier by my Doctor and I had all of my medical cards and identification in order. I am typing this as I wait for the response: "Mr. Cooper. This prescription was already filled. It will take hours for us to figure out what's going on. It's not us." Right. Never again. Update: Went next door to Rite Aid. 10 minutes. Out and done. Update Update: I went back into the CVS Store with my filled prescription. Please understand that the only reason to post here on Yelp is help things get better. This should not be a crabby fest. I really want CVS Pharmacy to get better. I showed the people in the pharmacy how you really could fill a fairly common prescription without too much effort and described my positive experience at Rite Aid with props. The response from CVS Pharmacy Staff? The didn't understand what the issue is, they looked at me with blank almost dead eyes, they believed that their continued non-responsiveness is some how normal. Like they are not on the other side of a counter, but might be filming a movie or paying some strange penitence. Frustrated, I asked them if they knew how continuously bad at something you had to be in order to achieve a 1.5 Star rating on Yelp? They did not respond or even appear to have understood what I had asked. Dumbfounded and feeling a little like I might be the subject of a Prank Video I started to leave looking left and right for the hidden cameras when I noticed a gathering of actual CVS Store employees. Nice, normal folks. I quickly presented my case, held my breath and wondered how deep the dearth of service went. They related a tale of being more than embarrassed by the Black Hole that seems to have popped up inside their store. Said something about one of the key people being missing. Tried to make some apology, but clearly have been having the same experience. It would appear that the Indian Burial Ground lies directly beneath the Pharmacy only. The store is safe. So now this is no longer really a review of my direct experience over 6 separate attempts to exchange money for goods and services. 6 attempts at filling various prescriptions with 0 successes. This now become an advertisement for a most fascinating Freak Zone in Ramona. I'm suggesting you go in and try and understand this real life Mystery Spot for yourself. See how it feels to step into a Twilight Zone.Try it. Seriously, you'll be amazed at the sight and sound. See if you can figure it out. I cannot. read more

I don't like to badmouth places but these guys have earned it! First Stike...Had my doctor in Oceanside send a prescription in to the pharmacy electronically. I had a good hour+ drive. Tried picking the prescription up only to find out they were out? THIS was a common medicine and they told me they wouldn't have it in until 3 days later. I headed to Rite Aid, where they had it in stock, called CVS to transfer the prescription and filled it while I waited! Next strike, went in to pick up pseudoephedrine for my husband. Because their computers were down, they couldn't sell any because even though they had it in stock physically they didn't have them logged in. So back over to Rite Aid and they had it in stock and I was able to in and out within 5 minutes. Last Strike...same doctor in Oceanside set another electronic prescription. Sent at 11:15am. I showed up through the driveway to picked it up at 3:15pm and was told that they hadn't filled it. What? I told her they had that order for 4 hours...as my husband's says EPIC FAIL!!! Further prescriptions are going to be sent to Rite Aid. read more

The pharmacy is terrible. I have had issues both times I had prescriptions filled here. Recently I waited almost 20 minutes at the drive thru only to be told the girl who took my prescription spelled my name wrong. I then had to wait another 15 minutes for them to fix the mistake. This place is terrible! They always mess up my moms prescriptions, they always tell her "oh we don't ur prescription in" even tho she's called it in. Then they call our house saying that they are ready so when go and pick them up of course they aren't and ask "oh who called you?" Like are you serious! Its always a long line in the drive thru, the women who work there are completely stupid and rude. And even if u try n order a prescription refill they say they did it but yet when you come back your order hasn't even been processed. Worst pharmacy ever. Rude employees. read more

I would rate the pharmacy no stars if possible. I can't begin to explain how much I detest this place. The last time I was here I had 3 prescriptions filled and they were all wrong. Wrong directions, wrong amount - you name it. I have to prepare for battle every time I come! Today I had to correct the girl on her math twice-basic math. Whoever trains the people at the front cash registers to be courteous and helpful needs to go back to the pharmacy and give the workers there a talking to. It's not that the pharmacy workers are mean or nasty, it's just obvious that they just don't care about customer service, and project this in their words and actions. Recent experience with a prescription to be filled was with one worker quickly inputting the request into their system, which I have to assume uses an automated inventory system confirming they had the product in stock, and being told to come back in 15 minutes. Then 15 minutes later back to pick the prescription up and I'm being told they didn't have it and I would have to come back after 5pm the next day. Certainly feels a whole lot like a scam to me "Oh yes we have it come back in 15 minutes to pick it up" followed in 15 minutes by "sorry we don't have it, come back tomorrow after 5pm." It's either that, since by the time you go to pick it up, they've torn up your paper prescription making it more difficult to go to another pharmacy; or, CVS has a real problem with their people maintaining accurate inventory records. Which ever it is, the Rite Aid down the street is looking good for filling any future prescriptions I have. read more

You know when you need a small item or two and you don't want to bother with Target or Wally World? Or you happen to be in the area and it is more convenient to drop in for a thing of two. That's what CVS Pharmacy is to me. Nothing special, but convenient. It can be a little more expensive than the other drug store type options, but you pay for the streamlined check-out. Of course, that also means that people watching is not as good as Walmart for example, at midnight. read more

Terrible customer service!! I waited half an hour for 3 photos, which the cashier (Michelle) told me would take "a couple minutes". She was right, the photos printed within minutes of my order. The only reason it took so long is because she ignored me and other photo customers while she was at the cash register. I understand she had to cashier first, but there were two other employees she could have sent to help us. Instead she said nothing, until I finally called one of the employees over to help us. No one apologized for their poor communication and lack of customer service. It was completely unprofessional and I will be taking my photo orders somewhere else from now on. read more

I've been there trying to get my prescriptions i have noticed how well they get along probably at the expense of customers having to wait because one thing they don't communicate to each other is what matters to the customer. Recently i had a prescription called in about 10:00 am when the prescription was picked up around 6:00pm only 1 of 2 was dispensed now (one day later) they sent me a notice that the other prescription is finally ready. read more

I specifically called this CVS this morning to confirm my prescription was ready. They said yes. I got here, and they had put it back as not picked up. I told them I would be here this evening after work. How lame can you get? My mom took her prescriptions there, was told to come back in an hour. It took 5 and a half hours for it to be ready. She went to pick them up, and they didn't have 1 available. In 5 and a half hours nobody could be bothered to call her and let her know that one of her prescriptions couldn't be filled. When I called them to complain their attitude was pretty much "what do you want me to do about it" I will not EVER use that pharmacy again. read more

It's a CVS, not breaking any new ground. Decent selection, decent prices. I always stop by for water bottles, cat food, and toilet paper lol I get a ton of coupons because I have the card. Customer service is a little hit and miss but usually friendly. I have used the pharmacy once, and did not have any issues. My prescription was ready by the time I got from my doctors office across time to CVS. I see a lot of bad reviews on the pharmacy, so I guess I got lucky. read more

I give this place 1 star because I came here a few months ago to get tami flu for my wife. Grabbed a card of off the shelf and waited in the pharmacy line to get the product and was told they were out. I go back the next day and there were cards still out on the shelf but no product. The pharmacy here is ridiculous. They've lost my prescriptions on multiple occassions and told me AND my doctor that they were never called in. When they're on it, though, they're great and fast, but forget trying to get in and out of the pharmacy area in less than 35 minutes if they're having a slow, grumpy, etc. day. The customer service at this location is terrible. I was dropping off a prescription and no one greeted me. The cashier in the pharmacy looked and walked away. A simple "Hi I help you out in a moment", would have been more than enough. I also noticed that the customer pick up his prescription was a Spanish speaker they should have gotten someone be to translate, instead they starting giggling cause they could understand him. CVS only carries ultra expensive Duracell brand of lithium button style batteries. Duracells are no better than other major brands, yet cost at least 10 times more money, out of your pocket. read more

This is a pretty decent retail store, but DO NOT use this pharmacy if you are in a hurry. I've had two separate instances where they said 35-45 minutes to fill my prescriptions, but it took well an hour and a half to get them. This second time, only 1 of my 4 prescriptions was actually ready (the other three were lost in computer limbo somewhere.) The actual total time was over 3 hours and God bless my husband who actually stopped by after work to get them (he still had to wait almost 45 minutes.) In the employees defense, they appeared to be frantically working the whole time and it wasn't their fault the computer ate my prescriptions. But 3+ hours for 4 prescriptions, for a company that supposedly specializes in this business, seems like crazy talk to me. Think I'll be using Rite Aid or Albertsons from now on. read more

I hate this place. "Your prescription will be ready in 15 minutes". I finally called someone out on their lie and said, "15 minutes means 2 hours here. Stop lying." One time I received my auto-refill reminder call, went to pick up the prescription, and it was not ready. I asked "Why? I received my reminder call." The response I received was that they were backed up. By THREE days? Are you kidding me? How hard is it to count pills? Well, for this mouth-breathing group of pharmacy correspondence school rejects, obviously it's very hard. I have never seen a more MOUTH-BREATHING, brain-dead group of people. The pharmacist sits on her throne chatting away and counting pills instead of helping people at the counter, and do not deign to request a consultation. Oh the horror of having to read the bottle to a patient and offer NO useful insight whatsoever. read more

If you like a pharmacy that will make you wait for 1 hour or more for your prescription, a pharmacy that notifies you that your prescription is ready and then makes you wait for 45 mins. to fill it when you get there, one that will fill your prescriptions incorrectly, a pharmacy staff that has a non-caring attitude, a staff that never smiles or greets you like a customer, then CVS Ramona is your place to go. The staff in the rest of the CVS store is very nice but the pharmacy is the worst. read more

I have tried to give them a 2nd chance, and a 3rd and a 4th but am done. I agree with others that it is not the store staff that is the problem, it is the pharmacy staff. More than once they have either handed me someone else's prescription, given me too much or too little of my medicine, somehow lost the prescription, claimed my doctor didn't call it in, said they can't get it from their distributor or said it will take 30 minutes to fill and I am still sitting there 2 hours later. The drive thru aspect is very nice to have, especially when you have little ones in the car with you, but that is not even worth it when you have to deal with the other issues. There are a few of the staff that actually seem to care, the rest seem to feel bothered that you would even be standing there or mention that the prescription they just handed me wasn't even mine. read more

This pharmacy started out a little slow. I was expecting great things when they moved from next to the Albertson's to their new location. But they didn't pan out initially. Some of the staff were rude, slow, self-centered, and not into providing customer service. Most (unfortunately not all) of that has changed. Dealing with sick people sucks, and face it, if you're not sick you are not likely visiting the pharmacy (except for birth control). If you are sick, you are usually not very fun to deal with. Since medicine is a "practice" often it falls on the pharmacist to make sure there aren't any drug interactions between prescriptions, etc. There are two pharmacists here that do that wonderfully. These two always make sure that either they or the pharmacy technicians discuss interactions and side effects with us. The other "pharmacist" and several of the pharmacy technicians, on the other hand, seem to be more about discussing their personal lives and ignoring customers than doing the service part of their jobs. Since it is obvious to me who cares, and who doesn't, I make sure I ask for the techs and pharmacists who show the most respect for their customers. read more
