I got in the drive-thru line at 4:55 PM with four cars ahead of me. One car alone took nearly 15 minutes. As I got closer to the window, it started to feel like the staff was intentionally dragging their feet to stall until closing time. When I was finally the next car up, the window was closed without a word--no acknowledgment, no explanation, just shut down. After waiting over 30 minutes, I was completely ignored. It came across as if the staff didn't care that I had been patiently waiting in line well before closing. I understand things get busy, but customers should still be treated with respect and not pushed aside. This felt like poor time management and a lack of basic courtesy. read more

i have to say, it is SOOOOOOO hard to deal with vaccine booking appointments through the CVS website. I was soiled by just walking in and asking for what i thought i needed. Their site asks so many questions. I never can complete the process my first visit to the site. However, once I arrive at the pharmacy, the staff is super nice. I have gone into 2 locations in South Tahoe. Since CVS is on the computer, they can see my history and twice adjust what I need due to my history. I am finally learning to "prepare" for scheduling, so it is not as upsetting when trying to figure out the new online scheduling process. read more

You can improve on management and customer care. I called about a missing item. They said they would replace it and I asked before I left my house. Do you need anything from me? They said just the receipt I went to the store and they told me they can't do anything about it because they checked their cameras and that they put the item in the bag. Clearly my pregnant self would not drive all the way to the store to con them for a single item. I will be taking my money and prescriptions elsewhere. read more

I've always received professional service, until today. I'm not going to mention names for confidentiality, but you know who you are ladies. I took my 9 yr old daughter to urgent care 6pm last night, diagnosed with strep, 102 fever (~99 after Advil & NyQuil ). Her doctor sent the prescriptions over to CVS Ramona. They closed early that night so I went the next morning. The pharmacist said with a blank face "We don't have anything for you" and told me to go to Albertsons and showed me the computer screen with a Karen attitude -_- Mind you, I arrived at the pharmacy 15 min early to wait in line (drive thru closed Christmas Eve). They opened 15 min late and at least 10 customers waiting by then. Ultimately, I refused and responded "MY DAUGHTER NEEDS HER ANTIBIOTICS" and I don't get heated often but my mama claws came out real quick. So the other pharmacist helped me and had no problem filling her prescription "It will be ready in 30 min she said." I pick it up drive home. Then I get a call saying "we forgot to mix the antibiotics, you need to come back." I was 2 min away from giving her 1st dose which could have potentially killed her (seriously contemplating reporting to CA State Board for malpractice). I drive back, they mix it while they are laughing with each other in the back. Then hands it to me "Here's Skyler or whatever I forget her name's prescription" no apology, no empathy, no professionalism. I understand shit happens, I work as a therapist in the medical field, and from my experience a simple "we apologize, thank you for your patience, we'll try our best to ensure this doesn't happen again, can go a long way. I switched my prescriptions to them and none of them were confirmed, I went to the pharmacy to get help and left after waiting for more than 15 minutes with no assistance of any kind even though staff saw me. I will have to switch to Costco pharmacy in Poway now which so far from Ramona. read more

Well, I've only been in the store a couple times and have never used the CVS pharmacy, so I have no comments on that -- seems to be where most of the complaints are. Recently I received a $10 off $15+ promo code on the Curbside pickup service. I generally prefer to go in a store, but I wanted to try this out, just in case I need it sometime. The CVS Express online purchase process was smooth, though product selection is limited. After submitting my order, I received multiple texts: 7:56am: CVS - Request to reply to confirm order 7:57am: CVS - Link to view the order 8:16am: CVS - Order ready notice and QR code When I arrived, I only needed to reply HERE to the text and within a couple minutes, the store manager, Zack, came out with my order. Zack was great, and apologized that the "Curbside" sign wasn't there to designate the parking space, but it had been destroyed in the storms last week. Curbside pickup is a WONDERFUL option. This parking lot is super easy to get in and out of, with entrances on both Main St and Ramona St. My experience today was perfect and that would warrant 5 stars, but overall I'm at 4 right now. The prices are a bit high, though some of the loyalty card deals are good ... and this store just seems a little dated compared to others. read more

I cannot express enough what a pleasant experience it is EVERY TIME I shop at the CVS store in Ramona. After 3 extremely exhausting & frustrating years of getting my prescriptions filled elsewhere (local), I finally switched to CVS. I cannot say enough good things about the staff in the pharmacy AND, well the entire staff. I'm still working on getting all their names, but a special shout out to Pam & Corinne (store front). They pleasantly greet customers as they enter the store & provide excellent service in every way. I've seen the manager step in to help when the waiting line suddenly becomes long. They are authentically caring & dedicated to making your shopping experience as easy & pleasing as possible. As for the Pharmacy, I have had absolutely ZERO problems getting my prescriptions filled appropriately & on time. The pharmacists & pharmacy techs are knowledgeable, efficient, considerate, & customer-centric; obviously committed to providing excellent services to their customers. The CVS APP is comprehensive, intuitive, & consistently updated with most current status on scripts. I love it! The store is always CLEAN, (including the restroom facilities!) Worst service ever that I received from the pharmacy over the phone from a woman named Monica. So rude I hope a manager sees this. She needs to learn about customer service and respect I had asked how many prescriptions that I needed to pick up and I let her know that I was no longer taking one of the ones that she had mentioned. And she rudely asked who was picking up the prescription and when. I understand I called one hour before they close but that is no reason for her attitude. I don't understand the bad ratings I have been going here for years and the pharmacy has had ups and downs but it has never been better. Also it is way better than the other CVS pharmacies I have been to in Poway or Escondido. It's not even close I get really nervous if I need to transfer a prescription to those horrible businesses. Sometimes you're only as good as your customers and competition demand you to be. That demand seems to be pretty low in Ramona. The service at this pharamacy is awful. These are paid employees that truly hate they're jobs and reflect that in the way they treat their customers, prioritize their tasks and stand around behind the counter like they're waiting for someone to tell them what to do or tell them to go home. Who's leading this Pharmacy? When I lived in Ramona, the two pharmacy's in town were Rite Aid and CVS. Rite Aid is great but they're small and ithey get backed up with orders. The larger Pharmacy is CVS and they are the worst. I've been they're 20 times and 19/20 times they have made some sort of mistake. They even made my wife cry who was 8 months pregnant. They called her to let her know her prenatal vitamins were ready after 3 days of waiting. When she got there she stood in a 15 minute line packed with hillbillies and trash only to be asked, "who called you" your prescription is not ready. It's vitamins, for christ sakes. Take them out of the big jar and put them in the little jar. Don't go here. read more

After an awful go-round with the woman who oversees the pharmacy, I came here to see if my experience was an outlier. Nope. After reading the comments, I can see I'm in good company and understand how this pharmacy earned its miserable two-star rating. I've never seen a group of people so dedicated to being unhelpful and rude. After getting home, i called to ask why normal pharmacy protocol wasn't followed. The woman began shrieking at me at the top of her voice, not allowing me to get a word in. Eventually, I was "allowed" to speak.. but still could not get out an entire sentence out without her interrupting, contradicting, insulting me and ultimately lying about what had transpired. Rude, thin-skinned, combative with a huge chip on her shoulder is a deadly combination when it comes to customer service. "How dare you question us? We have years of experience in this field." It'e been my experience that longevity does not equal competence. I worked with plenty of people who were bad at their job but somehow lasted in their position. I see from the other comments that things have only gotten worse with the Rite-Aid in Ramona shuttering, giving residents fewer choices for prescriptions. For my part, I'll be transferring prescriptions to the CVS in Poway (my insurance requires me to use CVS - not my choice). In fact, I'd drive to a CVS in Escondido before I set foot in that store and have to deal with her and her "awesome team" again. I'll also be sharing my experience with CVS corporate. I literally can't even after the trauma I have endured...receiving the run around from them on countless occasions. Think you've had to wait too long for your RX order to be ready? How about give TWO + WEEKS a try to resolve an issue on a refill of an RX you just had previously! They keep giving me the wrong prescriptions thinking the situation has been remedied. I continually have to explain this is not what I need or will do me type of good. Then they act like its your fault they have to redo the order & clean up this mess created! How hard is it to get things right the first or second time? Prior to that my experience was an expectation to receive the RX by Friday early afternoon. However, I was unable to do so until Monday morning due to an issue that had to be escalated to management (when doesn't it?!) Since they can't get on the same page with the Dr. to get the correct RX before the office closed for the weekend. There sure was plenty enough time to make multiple mistakes beforehand though. This was a new medication I needed right away! How can medical professionals be so careless in a time of need? Their lack of communication skills is a disgrace to the health industry. If you are experiencing issues with your Dr. Office or Insurance, they will be sure to add to the problem & make the situation seem worse than it already was! Pointing fingers placing the blame on anyone but themselves & vice versa. Just one excuse after another but no one seems to have the same story. I do not appreciate seeing them roll their eyes & laughing about how such stupidity has turned a simple situation into a complex layered problem. There is nothing comical about a health concern that should be taken seriously! The amount of time wasted going back & forth having to hold their hands to walk them through the job process is unreal! Best advice is to just call customer service line to resolve any issues. The true reason they are so behind because of constant mistakes they are scrambling to cover up without informing you of any new updates. A customer has every right to become irritated in this situation, however even if you are as patient & understanding as possible given the circumstances...they will proceed to direct their frustrations onto you for having to put forth the extra effort! A little bit of compassion & kindness goes a real long way in a time of need. The last thing I want is to be made out to feel like an inconvenience or be put down with their attitude when I am the one who is suffering here. Meanwhile they are at least earning a paycheck for this B.S. but I am doing half the work for them. DO NOT come to this pharmacy unless you have some "gluten for punishment"! There is a Rite Aid nearby in town that I was referred to by family members. Clearly Yelpers agree to prefer their service over CVS as well so the proof is in the pudding. It really shouldnt be much harder than it needs to be to help others! Thank goodness for the makeshift Yelp support group that also reflects incompetence from this location! I might have gone mad if others hadn't shared their stories on here. The vaccine situation in the pharmacy is ridiculous. On August 2, after getting shot new mber 1 for shingles, I made an appointment to get my flu shot and my Covid booster. I made it in person with a human being. My appointment for my flu shot was to be September 25 followed by my Covid booster on October 2. I am going out of state on October 5 and I wanted to be vaccinated. When I went in for my flu shot on September 25, they had me waiting with all the Covid people. Finally, they figured out I only needed the flu shot which they can do very quickly. After waiting for 30 minutes, despite having an appointment, I got my flu shot. I confirmed with a woman in the pharmacy that I would be returning the following Monday for my Covid booster. I returned today on October 2 10 minutes before my appointment time. A gentleman in the pharmacy said "we can't do shots less than two weeks apart." Why wasn't I told this when I made the original two appointments on August freaking second??? So now I have to wait three weeks to get my Covid booster, after my out-of-state trip. Get your act together, CVS!!! Train people better. Communicate better among each other. Communicate better with your customers. I may try to go to another pharmacy to get the damn Covid booster. read more

I took a Covid test today. Instead of just being able to text me or email me my results I'm forced to create an account, which took several attempts; sign into said account, which again took several tries; then try to navigate to the test results page, which the website locked up on me a couple times. This is ridiculous. My phone is secure. My email is even more secure. On top of that I could care less if anyone else saw my test results. Above all else I WANT to be able to see my test results. Something that should have been a 30 second text or email took me an hour to blunder thru trying to setup an account. If this is the result of some privacy laws those law makers need to be voted out read more

I waited in the drive thru for 45 minutes for one car to be done. When I finally reached the window, I was told "we have a sign posted that it could take an hour due to covid patients". I did not argue, but I felt that there was no excuse for that long of a wait. They could and should figure out something else to accommodate EVERYONE. read more

Had a 9am appt for vaccine. Showed up early, no one else was there for vaccines. Other customer traffic extremely slow. Despite this, I waited for over 20 minutes after checking in early. Finally had to ask why the wait. No one there was friendly, no apologies for needless long wait, and no safety protocols in place (post vaccine,etc). It I could give zero that would be perfect. The pharmacy is a pos, to put it nicely. Never, ever have we had an issue with any CVS over prescriptions.. And if there was, they were always courteous enough to call us to inform there was an issue.. Not this place.. We got notification that everything was ready.. Go to pick up.. Nope we are missing some.. Had to stand in a long wait of a line, again.. First they say oh, we don't have it... It's coming on our shipment in a few hours.. Then they change the story and say they can't accept the prescription bc of the way it is on the paper.. Funny, I personally was in here last week.. I used to absolutely love this place. This was prior to knowing about the review pages on the net. I primarily go there for prescriptions. I was initially amazed at how fast they were when I first started going there back around 4-15. The wait times are getting longer and longer and this last time was the worst I've had. I dropped rx off and they said it would be an hour (it never is now) so I checked back in an hour. They told me another 20 minutes so I called in 20. They told me another 15!! LOLOLOLOL I inquired if Robert McGrath was still the store manager and they told me yes but also told me just to come in and get them, they will be ready. Glad they were. Not sure what's going on but it's pretty frustrating and I'm actually considering going somewhere down the hill as my experience with other closer stores has been as bad, if not worse. read more

Pretty strait forward. Doctor's office called in script, and it was ready when stopped by that afternoon. Easy parking, have not tried the drive-thru but that seems like a good idea. The manager told me several things that were not true in order for me to sign up for their discount card. The 24/7 pharmacy hotline, promised, was not available for this area. The pharmacist, who was rude, verified that the promised service was not available. I was concerned about my credit card being automatically charged each every month. The store manager, Dawn, told me if I paid a year in advance, my card would not be automatically charged. Again not true. I'm an understanding person and know that you get busy sometimes but this is always happening and that tells me they don't value my time or care about customer service. This CVS Pharmacy is poorly managed. The Pharmacist denied my Doctor's script because the pain killer dose was written to strong for a General Practionier. The Pharmisist said "This amount of Narcotics needs to come from a Pain Management Doctor, He can send me lesser strength to be filled and I'll call you when the new Prescription comes. So I call my Doctor and he wrote a lesser strength narcotic and gave me a call to let me know my Prescription was called in a hour ago. My drive is a 45 minutes to CVS in Ramona. So I started driving down the mountain, more than half way there, I get this gut feeling to call CVS. Hello CVS. I give them my name and tell them I'm driving down. " Wait stop driving, let me talk to the Pharmacist!" Me "okay" Clerk " We are out of stock of your narcotic, didn't the Pharmisist call you to tell you?" Me "No!, It's been 2 days now without my narcotic and I'm going threw withdrawal! Clerk " I'm sorry" Me " When can I pick it up? Clerk " 2 days our stock comes in" Me " You have to be kidding me!"
