One of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years. Grabbed 3 fit Gatorades from the bin that was marked 3 for $6. But was quickly told by the cashier named Lauren that those weren't part of the promo even though they were in the bin with the sign saying it was. She said she didn't know who put them there. Then I asked her supervisor Crystal if they can honor it anyway as it was clearly someone's mistake who work there, but she said no just out of stubbornness. I shouldn't have even had to ask, if it was me, I would have just fixed it automatically and apologized even. Not sure but it may even be slightly illegal to not honor the price so I'll be filing a complaint if that's the case. In any other circumstance of experience throughout my life they would manually adjust the small credit and then move the incorrect product out of the bin. Nothing of that start was done. I'll admit I was being a little indignant but at no point was I rude NOR did I act like a Karen and argue. In the end, both Lauren and Crystal just didn't seem to understand or care at all. My only theory is the franchise owner here is a big jerk and will penalize an employee for a small credit on something based on the other reviews here. My impression though was that Crystal saw it as a personal challenge. At least that would make sense. At either rate, I already sent a similar worded message to corporate via their site. So I never thought that I would be reviewing a gas station, but... surprise! Laura was working behind the counter today when I popped in, and wow -- what great customer service! She was extremely welcoming and friendly to the two guests that were before me, and she does a wonderful job of pushing the store's various promotions. She enthusiastically offered the gentleman ahead of me a second candy bar, and tried to upsell me on a second soda for $1. Actually stopped in here for the restroom, initially, which was super clean. Wife went in to use restroom. Older white woman, blond hair doing the bathroom, had literally just walked in there when wife walked behind her and asked to use the restroom. She was rude, and told her "NO, I just started, come back in 20 minutes". Wife asked "please, I'll only take a minute" she said "NO, 20 minutes" then slammed the door. My wife is disabled, and I will be seeking legal options at this point. Guy at the counter was cool but the old white woman seems to have power issues and has no business being in a customer interfacing role. I am reaching out to corporate and my attorney since this callous thing triggered at least two of my wife's symptoms, not to mention having to hold herself until we went up the street to another establishment where there employees are trained to be in customer interfacing roles. read more

No stars - stopped in on our way home to SACRAMENTO. Hubby getting gas - grandson and I came in to buy water and snacks. Next we see hubby inside as the pump wasn't reading his card. We got in line to pay behind hubby. He leaves, grandson sees $20 on the floor. Thinks it may be papas but knows he should turn it in. Hands it to cashier APRIL - who says she will go look at the video and see if it was papas. We wait .... if course she says it wasn't - just blew in from the door. Mind you there was no breeze or wind that would have BLOWN in a $20. So she says yep not ours. I ask what was the next process. Expecting her to ask for our address and would send to grandson ,Nope . This arco is super small based on its number of pumps, but it's super convenient to run in and get a snack or gas before heading back down the mountain to SD... that is, if you can find a parking spot of course. Inside, the staff had always been cool and the store is maintained pretty well. According to other reviews, these guys are also the cheapest in town... can't go wrong with that either! read more

I have shopped here for over 30 years. Today I tried to use the air pump on my tires. I put in $1.50 and it wouldn't work. I complained to the manager who sent out a worker to look at the problem. OK ....California law free air and water, EXCEPT you have to buy gas. OK I get it! I am a customer that spends hundreds of dollars per month at this gas station. It was pouring rain and I got gas there the day before and noticed my tire was low and I had to drive a long distance. I was told I had to pay for air. I went down the street to the Chevron and they gave me FREE air, no questions. NOW what ampm could have done when I went in to complain today ( I got gas today) they could have offered me a token to use for next time...but nooooo i got another lecture. I went into this location to grab a couple things and it was as hot as hell in there. I asked the employees if the A/C was broken or something, and they said "NO"... The owner is just cheap!!! This isn't a big town but I'm glad we found them when we needed them. We came here on the way back to LA from Julian. They have a small quickie mart where you can pick up snacks. They're priced fairly considering there aren't very many gas stations around. It's clean for the most part and we were able to get what we needed and head out. read more

The manager is such a...biotch. She puts her employees on blast and condescends them in front of customers, violates food and safety codes constantly by having employees extend food dates after 5 days of opening boxes or packages incase health inspections pop up at random. Extends cookie dates an extra day or two(if they're still soft). If you want to know when pastries are really fresh, get them on Mondays cause they throw away the pastries on Sunday. When it comes to the local brewers display, mold grew around beer bottles at one point. Obviously this p.o.s doesn't care about the customers safety at all. When a customer takes food out of the food warmer and puts it back technically it's supposed to be thrown away but it's put back. Talks smack about certain customers and vendors. Very vindictive woman. There's a reason why gas station food shouldn't be bought. I want to know why Tribal Government IDs aren't accepted at this store? Felt very discriminated when I was told my Tribal ID wasn't allowed. Are military ID acceptable? That's a government ID so why not both acceptable. Would like to hear from either the manager or anyone who could answer my question.
