This CVS is near my home. It's very convenient for prescriptions, snacks, cosmetics etc. I drop off my prescriptions in the drive up window and they are ready in less than a hour. The staff sometimes changes frequently but they are always helpful. They also offer a rewards program called Extra Care, that can be a card or connected to your phone number. You earn coupons & 'bucks' to apply to future purposes. Not bad. There's a Chase ATM & they take passport pictures too. Wine & Beer too if you would like to partake. read more

This pharmacy is horrid. We tried to get a script filled on a Sunday at about 5:45. My usual pharmacy closes at 6 on Sunday so they moved the prescription to this location. They did that because we needed it same day. I tried calling 6 times. Left a voicemail and even talked to a human once who said they would get it done. They didn't fill it or follow up with me and I still don't have what I need. read more

After using this pharmacy for 8 1/2 years I transferred my prescriptions to the HEB down the street yesterday. In the beginning it was professional, but it has gotten worse with each passing year. The only longtime staff member has the worst attitude you could possibly find. She acts as if you are putting her out by being there, rather than the fact that you are a paying customer. I've had her tell me a prescription was $600.00 without batting an eye and not telling me I could've used GoodRX and saved several hundred dollars. The absolutely do not want to talk to you, and have a phone line to leave a message, but it cuts you off before you have time to say anything. IF YOU HAVE TIME TO CALL BACK, THEN WHY CAN"T YOU ANSWER THE PHONE? Recently a young man I believe named Paul has been there and he is incredible. He remembers your name and is friendly, but that can't make up for the fact that they are open less hours than other pharmacy's and always act hurried and frustrated, (not him). Last Thursday I pulled into the drive through at 6:56PM. I was the fourth car in line, but whoever was working the window slammed the shade shut after the second car. That's equivalent to slamming a door in someone's face. That was the last straw for me! From reading the reviews for that past several years it appears that CVS couldn't care less. read more

More like zero. Woman behind the cash register was just talking with an employee and instead of helping me gestured to the do it yourself register so she could keep talking with another employee. I'm sure no one from the company cares looking at the reviews. Zero customer care or service and this is what you get. I don't understand bad service it's so easy to help someone especially when there's no one else in line. Sad what happening today. No one cares about anything anymore. I absolutely do not recommend this CVS They are understaffed and have the worst customer service. The pharmacy is where I had my mosey recent horrible experience. Can anyone answer this question for me. In the world of operations who would make the rescission to close a pharmacy for 30th a during the peak of the day time in a Saturday so that 4 people can all take a lunch. What sense does that make. I just got out of the hospital to pick up a prescription and had to wait on my feet for 15 mins for someone to open back up. How does that make sense l. I literally NEVER leave bad reviews and CVS has always been my go to pharmacy. Had this been one experience, I could chalk it up to an off day or honest mistake, I'm new to Plano. I relocated from Houston last year for a job. Everyone at my company warned me about the cvs down the street. How sad is that? I gave them a shot anyway. From the pharmacy to the store personnel, complete disaster. The pharmacy constantly forgets to fill medicines when you call in a refill. Lose your prescriptions, can't read your drs handwriting etc. This has happened every time. Not just one of my doctors, but all of them. Including my sons drs. My ob gyn will not fax prescriptions to this exact pharmacy as a general rule. Not all CVS, THIS CVS! They have gotten my prescription right once. Literally just the first prescription I ever dropped off. The staff and pharmacist could care less. They will sit around and make you wait at the window for 15-20 minutes. The store staff is the same. They constantly leave things out of your bag. If you walk back with the receipt before you leave the parking lot, the manager has to check the security camera to make sure you didn't get it. It can be sitting right there on the counter. That's happened twice. I just cut my losses the last time because I only have an hour for lunch. I now check my receipt before I leave and balance it to my items. There is not an ounce of accountability or give a shit here. For a year it's been the same horrible staff at the check out counter and the pharmacy drive through window. CVS... you really shit the bed with this store. Do better. read more

Pharmacy itself is fine. But the front store manager on duty Harmon was awful. She had a lot of attitude. My husband and I had to wait for 10 minutes until someone came to the front. That only happened after my husband asked the pharmacy to page someone to the front. Customer Service sucked. The CVS Saturday was awesome, Michael! The pharmacy staff at this location needs to go beck to training ASAP. They are not capable of doing their job not should they face the consumer. I would go as far as to say they are brainless. For the last two days I have been following up on a COVID -19 test and they offer no solution to a very obvious issue. I even asked for then to call the lab and refuse to do so. As it turned out ( just like I pointed it out) something when wrong between CVS and Quest in the data capture and that was the root cause of the delays in providing the results. It took over 25 calls from my side to eventually got to an agent that identify the issue and corrected it. The CVS logo for this location means Complete Verified Stupid. My best advice, AVOID this location. You are better off without them. read more

You get told to come back at a certain time then when we come to get your prescription passed the time they stated they tell you to come back in 20 more mins, very unprofessional and unreliable when you are sick as a dog with the flu and now have to wait even longer for your medication. I don't require much from a pharmacy. As long as you have my pills ready, I'm good. I never believe that things will be filled in an hour, so I always call ahead. This review isn't for their timeliness per se. My review is for the ridiculously slow and disinterested employee manning the drive-thru line. I was sandwiched in between two cars, and couldn't figure out why the car in front of me took so long to get their stuff. I figured maybe they are new and have to fill out some stuff - I don't know. I try not to be a know it all and assume the worst in people, rather than assuming one of them is an idiot. My turn came and I was 'greeted' with the best representation of a bored expression on the face of the earth. Truly. This woman did not give a rat's ass. She asked for the name and date of birth, gave me a receipt to sign, and passed my pills along in the span of 15 minutes. Mind you, I am used to pharmacy drive-thrus that send me away in 5 - because the whole process doesn't warrant anything more for a normal person. This was a sloth working behind the window. I'm more forgiving when someone is being trained, or at least be the least bit apologetic if she ends up slow. Not this lady. She is boldly slow. Good for her. read more

Though I typically take my Rx to a location closer to home, they didn't have enough for a fill so I had to go to this one. I dropped my prescription off at around 8 am - they asked when I would like to pick it up and I said noon/lunch time. My usual pharm can fill in 15 minutes, so I thought 4 hours would be plenty of time. The pharmacist confirmed it would be ready promptly at 12 pm. My lunch break ended up being a little later than planned so I didn't make it over there until around 2:30. The world's shortest lunch break combined with the most ridiculous traffic gave me JUST enough time to get over there and head back to work. My prescription STILL wasn't ready. I just don't get how slapping a label on and counting out 30 pills takes more than 6+ hours?? (Yes, I am being melodramatic , I DO realize there is more involved than that...) They said I could come back later, but they close at 9pm which is what time I get off, so no refill for me. My schedule won't allow me anymore free time until Friday, so that makes for a 4 day wait. Annoying and inconvenient to say the least. On the plus side, the location is easy to find and on both of my visits there was NOBODY in line at the pharmacy drive thru -- of course, now I know why. If you're filling a prescription I highly suggest going elsewhere--another CVS even, just not this one. read more

I would give this place a negative star but that is not an option. This pharmacy is always out of stock. Their messaging system sends incorrect texts stating RX is ready but it's not. Then when you go to pick it up they lie and state you didn't call it in and make you feel like an idiot. I would highly recommend that one doesn't even go here. I have given them over a year bc it's convenient but now I am at my wits end and will go somewhere else. They lack common courtesy. They are apathetic and make the customer feel like it's a bother for the employees to assist them. Talk about basic lack of customer service. Back in the day, I used to frequent Drug Emporium....you remember those places, the grocery store sized drug stores that carried every kind of sundry you could want AND at bargain discount prices. Unfortunately the DE's have all gone away, but I have managed to find a substitute (albeit on a much smaller scale) with CVS. This particular location is minutes from my casa and staffed with some very friendly folk. Although they are often busy (being located across the street from several medical facilities), they never seem harried or rushed. I can always find someone when I need assistance, and on several occasions I have been approached by staff asking if I needed anything while I was browsing. The shelves are always well stocked, they carry a good variety of beauty products at great prices, and the pharmacy is fast and efficient. I also like the fact that I was able to go in and get my passport photos taken here - who would have thunk it?? read more

The store has listed a product as available on their website. I drove to this CVS after driving to TWO other CVS stores in search of this product. After asking an employee if they had any, he said he would check. He left and never came back with an answer. I had to track him down, at which point he said that the website was wrong and that I should not assume a product is available just because it says it's available on the website. In that case, what's the point of having the feature at all!? So disappointing and a huge waste of time. I'd rather pay full price at Walgreens than scower the DFW area looking for this product that happened to be BOGO. read more

This is the worst cvs! The employees are very rude and unhelpful. The cashier needs to be retrained or replaced immediately! I tried to return an item i ordered online and he absolutely refused to take it back and demanded that I ship it back instead. Really dislike using the pharmacy. The pharmacist seems knowledgeable but the techs seem to speak very little English unless they're just really poor spellers. I always have to repeat my name several times. It should be easy because mine is a common name. I wonder if they have this much trouble with my name how do they manage the complex drug names. Horrible service!!! Do they know what they are doing??? And they dispense medications??!? Shudder!! Incorrectly filled someone else's prescription for me and then when I corrected them, the pharmacist looked blank! She didn't know anything! Then they got the right prescription when I brought in my old bottle physically into the store. Took them forever and then they asked me for dosage, things that were all told previously and also were on the script which was transferred over. 45 mins for one medication which was already 24 hrs past when they said it'd be ready!! read more

This is only based on my only experience, but they seemed very understaffed in the pharmacy. I think they could speed things up if there was a better system for finding prescriptions when picking up. It seems like many of the scripts that I saw to be picked up weren't in the bins, they had to go look for them, taking time and backing everything up. I called today to refill a prescription at the CVS off Tennyson and Preston in Plano and the pharmacist, David, who answered was unbelievably rude to me. He told me that I could not refill my prescription because it was "too soon". When I explained to him the situation and how it was not too soon for me to get it. He interrupted me, spoke down to me, and was extremely aggressive. When I asked to speak to someone else, he told me he was a pharmacist and I could speak to him. When I asked to speak to a manager, he told me he was the manager. When I asked for his name because I wanted to make a complaint, he gave me his first name but he refused to give me his last name. So I told him that I would come to the store to make a complaint and get his last name, to which he replied VERY aggressively and disrespectfully "OH YEAH, OKAY YOU COME DOWN HERE, I'll be waiting for you!" and then hung up on me. So 1) he refused me my prescription which I legally have the right to, 2) he spoke down to me 3) he threatened me, and 4) he hung up on me. My husband overheard the phone conversation and did not want me to go there, so he went and what do you know? I was right, it wasn't too soon to get my prescription as I had explained to the pharmacist. Either way though, the way that he spoke to me even if I hadn't been right was absolutely despicable. Needless to say, I will no longer be getting my prescriptions from there. read more

Five months ago, I made the mistake of switching to this CVS Pharmacy. Nearly every interaction I've had since has been terrible. The staff is inattentive, difficult to understand, dishonest, and more often than not, outright rude. If you've ever wondered "how many H1B guest workers are too many?", look no further than this CVS. Furthermore, the cash price for my medication has seemed to change every month without explanation; running anywhere from $15-$150 for the same brand; (when actually in stock). Needless to say, I won't be returning to this CVS ever again or any other for that matter. read more

CVS is usually one of my favorite places to go couponing but this location is not the most friendly to couponers. I went to another CVS location on a Saturday afternoon, so I had seen correct shelf signs and my transaction went smoothly according to advertised deals. I went to this location on Preston later in that same day; remember, it was Saturday, before the ad week was supposed to end, with my planned purchases only to find out all the advertised deals listed in the ad were not matching with the signs on the shelves. (When this happens, it's a warning sign! Get out of there and go somewhere else!) An advertised deal that was supposed to trigger ExtraCare Bucks (CVS rewards that print out on the receipt) , did not. Thinking it was my error, I tried again with a second transaction and different cashier, perhaps a bigger size of the product would work. Again, no ECB. Then I checked my receipt and asked for a return; the cashier who did my first transaction, was nice enough to manually print out my ECB but warned me that using coupons would create this problem. Having a few of years of experience using manufacturer's coupons at CVS, I knew this was not true of the store's coupon policy. I wasn't too impressed with either cashiers; they were fine, but didn't give me the impression they were too concerned about giving quality customer/sales service. After some research online, I found out that their store's deals seemed to match with the following week's deals. That is why nothing seemed to work out correctly. I've lived/couponed in California before moving to TX, and their weekly ads began on Saturday there (don't know if that is still true or not) however, in TX it should run Sunday through Saturday. I don't get why this happened. I guess I could be going crazy because this sure sounds crazy. But it's what happened, so I'll definitely be avoiding this location I don't want to have to deal with this possibility in the future. I don't want to turn into one of those nagging couponing ladies who has to question why a deal didn't work out, I just want the advertised deals as I know that I'm using coupons without breaking store rules/policies. There are plenty of better CVS locations throughout Plano and they do have the cashiers who are warm, trained to handle weekly promotions/coupons, and overall willing to help out. My toddler son loves their two car grocery carts, those monstrosities that are extremely difficult to maneuver through tiny aisles at CVS; they are very entertaining and the only location I've visited in Plano with this added entertainment. I have been going to this pharmacy for (4) years now in order to get my prescriptions filled. It has steadily gone from "so-so" to the absolute worst in customer service. It now takes at least (3-4) attempts to actually get a prescription filled. Either they do not have it......because they didn't bother to fill it once notified from the CVS website,,...or they simply didn't bother to fill it....for another reason. Now it takes (1) week to actually get a pick-up date from the time you enter the refill online. Today I tried to pick-up a prescription at the window 1/28/2013. I was the only car at the window...and I started to get help. She took my information....told me I had two prescriptions....then helped the lady who pulled up after me on the outside lane....and then she closed the window on me....and didn't come back. Where are these people trained? At this point.....I am amazed each time I visit this CVS....thinking that they couldn't possibly do any worse than the last time I was there....but they always manage to...somehow...some way...:-( read more

I don't know where to start but I have not been to this location in years. My reason for returning was convenience because my job is 2.4mi away. For the past 3 months have been receiving the same medication in the form of tablets. Due to the type of medication my insurance contacted my physician to ensure they had viable reason to cover meds. After all that hoopla I received a letter from my physician and they will continue to cover refills until September (we are in July folks) and I physically took the letter with me to fill my prescription for the month and the pharmacy assoc.says I am a day or so early and would have to pay 56+ dollars or I can wait the day so my insurance will cover. So I decided to wait and due to scheduling (daily life) I returned a week later. Speaking to the same associate she tells me my insurance will not my prescription. Of course I am angry and tired of this don't care attitude I have been receiving from her. I reminded her the last time I came and informed her about the letter along with another pharmacist at the time (sorry if I left that out earlier) of my visit and reminded her that she told me "to wait a day or so for ins to cover it" this associate walks away and someone appears and she practically pushing the medication out saying here you go - it's filled with a discount card. She tells me the total is now $23 dollars. I am confused and pissed. As I appreciated the discount it didn't help the situation at all. I opened my prescription at work and the tablets I have been taking for months have miraculously changed to capsules (different color/size and all. They didn't review the meds to let me know of the change they made because they were too busy shooing me off. I reviewed the meds online to ensure they were the same name as on the bottle and they were (lord knows I wanted to take them back to get what I am normally receiving but I didn't) but reaction was different than the tablet do after a 1.5 wks I contacted them today. And requested my original pills to replace what I have left in the bottle - so I was placed on hold and she says "it's ready come get it. Hello I said it's ready." I said hello and asked what she was talking about and she goes ... my prescription that I brought in says capsule. Well, I politely said she was lying bc I did not bring a prescription. After she insisted that I did several times I hungup and will have my physician send/transfer to a different location on my next refill. I may have left details out bc I am so upset over this crap and this location continues with the worst customer service ever. You have to wait hours for your meds and argue with the associates while trying not to be overcharged all at the same time. If I can save one person from going to this location then my job is done.
