Always lines. Called to see if my prescription was ready, they told me yes when I showed up it was another 30 minute wait.

I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they always seem to have a really LONG, very SLOW line for pharmacy, and many times they cannot find my refills when I get there. would be nice if they would announce on the intercom that your prescription is ready when you are waiting to have it filled, instead of the customer trying to guess when its ready. I used the restroom during one visit first thing in the morning when the store opened, and it was a gross mess (vomit, etc). I mentioned it to the manager on duty, who was hanging out behind the photo counter, and even suggested that maybe the cleaning person missed it that day, and he said "Oh yeah, sometime the homeless use it", and just walked away. - no apology, no quick call to have someone clean it, nothing...really sad customer service, especially for a store manager. read more

Worst pharmacy!!! I had to get a prescription so I drop it off and verified that they had those medications because I need them today and I live 45 minutes from town. They said "yes, should be ready in 15." So I waited 15, waited in line they said "it will be ready in another 15." Okay so me and my dad went and eat lunch and got my car service else where. Came back 4 hours later thinking it would be done for sure... Still not ready told me it would be 15 mins. Again! I was extremely irritated by this point so I said but you for sure have this prescription right? She went to the back to check and told me "no and that it would be ready tomorrow that they had to order it." Never been that mad to where i raised my voice rudely in public. They told me they had it! And don't tell a customer 15 if it takes 24 hours!!!!!!!! read more

Check what's in the bottle is the same as what the printed prescription label states. This pharmacy has a history of incorrectly filling prescriptions. After a week of taking an incorrect prescription I had to tell them what was in the bottle was different than the correct prescription printed on the bottle. You are taking your life in theirs hands if you use this pharmacy! read more

This review is for the store, not the pharmacy. Seems like the pharmacy has issues according to the reviews. I wouldn't know, since I didn't use the pharmacy. Hopefully it improves, but anyways......The store it's self is well organized and the young girl who helped me was very friendly and fast. She was the only one working the register and was helping another couple, but she acknowledged me immediately and told me she would help me soon. She did and I was out in a couple of minutes. The pharmacy department in this store has the very worst customer service I have ever experienced. When calling the pharmacy, I timed the wait time for one day, January 5, 2017. #1: 45 minutes - no answer #2: 35 minutes - no answer #3: 25 minutes - no answer You may think why did I keep trying? It was very important, then it was an experiment. On January 4, 2017, someone answered. Very rudely, but a response. I am not going back once I receive my requested prescription. read more

The CVS at State and Calle Laureles in Santa Barbara is a shambles. The trash outside in the planting areas and the parking lot is a disgrace. I understand from the employees that they are happier under the current mgr. than the old one, but clearly the manager doesn't care about the appearance of the store. read more

This is specifically for pharmacy manager,Sarah. We were in San Simeon for some tours of Hearst Castle for Mother's Day weekend. Unfortunately last night a member of our party started having an asthma attack but left his nebulizer at home. Being Sunday morning, we had to reschedule our 11am tour and head into Paso Robles to find a pharmacy to find an over the counter nebulizer. We tried and spoke to pharmacists at Target and Walmart but they didn't have anything. We stopped at CVS and spoke to Sarah and asked her if she had that in stock. She was smart and took another approach. She asked if he had a prescription and which pharmacy was his regular pharmacy. She asked for his name and DOB and she called Walgreens in San Francisco and got the prescription transferred to CVS right away. She was proactive and professional and we are now driving back to Hearst Castle to make our tour at 1:20pm. We are feeling fortunate and lucky to have crossed paths with Sarah at CVS. Literally the worst, my son is Autistic and can't miss one day of his medication and called to refill and his doctor said she sent the prescription in days ago so I call CVS and I am on hold for OVER 20 minutes only to be answered and immediately hung up on. I then call again and was on hold for another 10 mins, I hung up called the store manager and ask them to walk my number over to the pharmacy and have them call me... their response was "okay I'll try, hopefully they call you back". Uh me too? I then get the call and they let it ring maybe twice before hanging up and making me miss the call. I call them back immediately and then on hold again for 10 mins. I finally had enough and went right over (with my autistic child who was not happy at all) and wait in a VERY long line only to be told "his medication is not ready yet, if you want to next time call ahead of time so we can make sure it's ready for you". I about lost my mind, we then had to wait 25 minutes for them to finish his medication, because according to the pharmacist "they were really busy and have many more things that need to be done". Well sorry to Inconvenience them, definitely looking for a different pharmacy ASAP! read more

This review is for the pharmacy This place is an utter joke. I'm pretty sure everyone that works in the pharmacy is incompetent idiots. My prescriptions are on auto refill with this place. Went to pick it up today. I've come to expect the 20-30 minutes lines by now and just have given in. Get up there and of course the prescription is not ready. They're wanting me to hang around for 30 minutes. This is the same joke every single time. I would switch out of this pharmacy so quickly if my insurance allowed me to. They are the biggest joke. As you can see from all the other reviews, the wait in line is always long. I reached out to corporate and they had local management call. However, the local management blames it on the union rules for breaks. Actually, that may be true. However, nothing stops CVS from hiring additional technicians to manage the registers. The average should be two registers with an option to have a third open when the line exceeds 3. Every CVS I have been in other that this one uses that rule. I now have taken my patronage to Rite Aid. read more

Just spent 45 minutes on hold with this pharmacy to talk to their pharmacist. I finally called and talked to the store manager ( thank goodness for this man) and he gave a message to the pharmacy manager and she called me back 5 minutes later. I DO NOT go to this pharmacy anymore due to their long wait times (on the phone and in store). I called to check on a prescription a few years ago, waited on hold for 30 minutes, then drove to the store still on hold (another 10 minutes), waited in line while still on hold (10 more minutes), and then FINALLY talked to a pharmacist ALLLLL before they answered their phone!! I was livid. The time after that they gave me someone else's prescription all together and I didn't even notice until I was home that night about to take my meds. I have never taken that specific drug and have no idea what it would have done. When I went to the pharmacy the next day (because calling obviously doesn't get you anywhere) they said "that happens sometimes." THAT HAPPENS SOMETIMES?!?! That is totally irresponsible!! That should not be happening EVER!! I like CVS, too bad the pharmacy part is so horrible.. read more

I have changed all of my prescriptions to Rite Aid due to my poor experience here. The line to get an RX filled is practically the length of the store. It doesn't seem to matter what time you get in there. Expect at least a 20-30 mi. wait. Then you might be sent over to a different counter. There have been very rare occasions when I haven't had to wait, but the times and/or days are not consistent. read more

This is a review the of the Pharmacy and not the store. The Pharmacy is a cruel joke. I went in recently to drop off a prescription in the afternoon. There was only one person in front of me for drop off, but she was made to wait while the assistant enter stuff into the computer, then just walked away. We waited for over 15 minutes for someone to help us - just to drop off a prescription mind you - and still no help. The whole time I was waiting, I was listening to another clerk arguing with an obviously irate customer on the phone. I looked over at the line of people waiting to pickup their prescriptions, and the line was all the way down one isle and across to another. At that point thinking of how long I would have to wait just to pickup the script, I left. I have had bad experiences with the pharmacy here in the past, but it is in a convenient location so I thought I would try again a year or so later. They have made no changes in management or staffing of pharmacy. I don't know if it is merely the pharmacy is incompetent, or just severely understaffed. Avoid the pharmacy at all costs. read more

By far the best pharmacy I have ever encountered. They are the only pharmacy on the central coast that knows properly how to deal with express scripts. The staff is all very nice and they even helped me resolve a problem with another CVS store. I travel 30 miles round trip just to do business with these fine people. read more

I spent all day in the er with my 14 month old son. I brought in the prescription to the pharmacy today it is a Saturday at 5:15 this was my first time using the pharmacy here. The girl took at least 15 minutes putting our information in. She even had to call for help with how to input the insurance. She then told me it would be 15-20 minutes. I said ok, I'm going to go next door and get a few groceries. When I returned at 6:02 the pharmacy was closed. I asked if i could please get the prescription for my son. When I was told sorry the tills are closed. I said, I'm sorry this was my first time here and I didn't realize you closed at six. The insurance fully covers the medication is there any way I can get it please. Again sorry no. Wow. The chic couldn't have told me when I said I was going next door to make sure I would be back before six because they were closing? According to her my prescription was not going to be ready until ten till six! This place need to learn to communicate and better train their employees. read more
