The last message I left was this morning when she was in a meeting. There was never a call back until I caught her this afternoon. She flippantly said she never received a message and that her staff would know the answers anyway. That was not true. They did not. The proprietor is a quiet and nice man who was able to pinpoint the right product for me based on my request for something subtle. There have been a few unjustified bad reviews that I've read, and I have to blame the reviewers who are more likely the problem. Simply put, if you're going to shop retail, then purchase from retail. Don't walk in and try a bunch of fragrances then buy online to save a few bucks. Do the right thing by merchants that have rent to pay and operational expenses. I asked whether I could test it and was told no. I have only smelled old bottles of Jicky -- I don't know what the current version smells like. Without trying, I couldn't decide whether to buy it, so I gave the perfume back and told him I'd think about it. They were selling it for $145, same as retail. I then had a walk around browsing the store. Once or twice I saw something I hadn't heard of and I took out my phone to Google it. I'm a bit socially awkward and I sometimes prefer to read about things online instead of bothering someone with questions. I went to the door and told the gentleman at the counter thanks and good bye. He said to me, "so I'm curious, were you just shop malling me or what?" I'd never heard that term and asked what he meant. He said, "You look at our boxes and then you look the prices up on your phone -- that's shop malling." I said that I was really mostly interested in the Guerlain perfume, and if they'd had a deal on it I would have taken it. But they didn't and plus, I'm not going to shell out $145 for a perfume if I can't try it. He said to me sarcastically, "Support local businesses, huh." I replied, "Well, I still might be back, you have some good stuff." And he said, "I won't hold my breath." It's not nice to be snippy with a customer who's just coming in to have a browse. And the "shop malling" accusation came out of nowhere too (just because I was walking around and looking at my phone?). The funny thing is, I would gladly pay retail price for something or even a bit more to support a local business run by nice folks -- keyword here is nice.

I called (grumpy) and explained my situation at 8:54pm to the pharmacist on the phone, which was just 6 minutes before the pharmacy closes. He told me he would have to sort it out in the morning because they were closing up. 30 minutes later, at 9:25pm (or 25 minutes after their pharmacy area had closed) the pharmacist called me back! Not only has he figured out the billing mistake and the health insurance mixup and the issue with quantity, but he's ordered a refund and set aside the right amount needed to complete my prescription. They are ready and waiting for me. Staying late, dealing with my headache after hours... and then calling me, explaining what happened, and fixing the problem to make right a wrong... that's REAL customer service! Thank you!

When I said I didn't have it (the self checkout machine didn't print it, but I had paid), he said I couldn't leave until he saw proof of purchase. He walked me back over to self checkout and got another staff member, who at first tried to make me pay again for the items I had already purchased. When I told him that, he went through the machine history and reprinted it. Meanwhile the security guard told me "be patient princess", which I found incredibly condescending. I would recommend any poc especially to stay away from this store.

I had to call in three times over two days due to the nuances of the prescriptions being filled and was fortunate to have the same amazing technician answer my calls. Not only was she extremely helpful and patient, she informed me that she had a coupon that would give me a better price on a particular medication over my insurance cost. My home Walgreens would never provide such thoughtful service. Picking up my prescriptions was a breeze as well. This Walgreens pharmacy should be an example for all others to emulate.
