If I could have put zero stars I would. Picked up a $1251. self pay prescription last night. Went to use it this morning and the plunger doesn't work. Called CVS and they referred to me some company, that CVS told me was the manufacturer, who was wondering why I was calling them since they don't have anything to do with this. Call #2 and #3, as usual, ring, ring, ring - nobody picks up, no way to leave a message, calls disconnected. Called back the 4th time and supposedly the pharmacist answered the phone. Um yea right. She gives me the "customer service number" which is only if you've lost your card. Asked for the DM Andrew (Scott) Rutherford's phone number and the supposed pharmacist said she didn't have that number. Also asked for Michelle Paluso, EVP of Chief Customer & Experience Officer. Nope they don't have that phone number either. What does her job entail that you can't reach her? So how does she do her job? CVS has zero phone numbers or email addresses listed anywhere. They've insulated themselves from getting any emails or phone calls. CVS IS REALLY JUST A BUNCH OF LIARS. WORST EXCUSE FOR A PHARMACY I'VE EVER SEEN. read more

Drop off the description and never get a call or any update to pick up. When I stop by to check they said it's not ready. This is ridiculous. It have been 14days. Girl at the front register of the pharmacy dark complected (maybe Indian/Pakistani) has got a terrible attitude. She was completely rude for no reason at all. Totally uncalled for, I'm just in here for my prescription. Mind you I'm sure people can have a bad day but you don't have to start getting snippy and rude with your customers. Then when I tell the girl my name for my prescription she laughs, which is odd. I give her my info I'm sitting and waiting for 5 minutes and she snaps at me "hello sir I need you to tap the screen!"(mind you I've been waiting for 5 minutes for some kind of a response from her). No improvement. Came in after 6:30 for a prescription that was supposed to be done at 5:00. (I had called around 2:00) Waited in a line 10 deep with only one register open in the Pharmacy. I was then told the prescription was not ready and would take 15 min. I received no text or call over the intercom. It had been a good half hour. Went back to speak to a Pharmacy tech. A good & nice, big CVS, but I only go here to pick up my prescriptions & the line to pick up prescription/s is always so damn long. They are however one of the closest pharmacy to a hospital & medical clinics/offices so having a busy line is to be expected. They are relatively quick, but just my luck every time I go a person ahead of me has some issue or question or complaint, etc...which in turn holds up the line. I suppose I could goto another cvs location, but they are open 24/7 & again closest to my doctor's. read more

This CVS/Pharmacy is located in the Rosemont Square Shopping Center, next to Mi Pueblo Foods, in Newark CA. Went to CVS on Friday, July 1, 2011. It was like 7:00PM. Service here at this CVS is great! I bought 2 2liter sodas (Sprite & Coke), for 79 Cents each, on sale! They also charge 10 Cents for Bottle Deposit. I also bought 2 tubs of Dryer's Ice Cream for $2.88 each, on sale! Cookie Dough & Vanilla. There were more flavors to choose from. The total came up to be $7.70! read more

Horrible customer service. I wait in line for a prescription pickup for 20 minutes and also need to drop off a new one. After giving me my prescription I am asked to go to another counter for drop off. The time was 5.45 pm on a Sunday and the lady tells me she can't take my prescription. Told me to "come back tomorrow" literally 10 times. Firstly the closing time is 6.00 pm. No response to that point. Secondly I knew I'd have to come again to pick up the med so I requested them to at least take it for now so I would not need to come back two more times. Again 'please come back tomorrow'. No apologies nothing. If you're short staffed and just told me 'sorry we're short staffed and sorry you need to come twice', I'd have understood. Instead just a cold broken record: 'come back tomorrow'. Guess what. I never want to go back. read more

The CVS is a little bit smaller than the Fremont hub store and I like coming to the CVS because it is closer to my home however unlike the Fremont hub this CVS is not 24 hours. The employees are always nice and they always ask if I need help. The store is pretty well-stocked and I usually can find a lot of the items I'm looking for but again it is a little bit smaller so it doesn't carry as much as the Fremont hub store. However because it is not as popular as the Fremont hub store a lot of times you can fine items here from the sale paper that will run out in the Fremont hub store so I love coming here after holiday sales because a lot of times it doesn't sell as fast and you have an opportunity to buy a lot of those sale items at 50 to 75% off. read more

My 80 year Dad had the absolute worst experience at this pharmacy. They gave him the run around all day long! He went back 4 times in one day just to get his and my Mom's medication. Not to mention they have the worst system. Each time that he went back they made go back and forth from pick up to drop off. If I had the option I would give them no stars at all! Made a stop here to pickup some Emergen-C since I felt a cold coming. Maybe it is placebo but it helps me. I was greeted cheerily by an employee and quick found Emergen-C on sale. Can't complain. I came on a Friday afternoon with new prescriptions that needed to get transferred from Kaiser to cvs. I was worried I wasn't able to get them in time cause my dad needed them asap (he didn't even tell me he was completely out) By Saturday I was already able to pick up medications. The process was super fast and KRISTINA M. was amazing. Made everything stress free. She was a wonderful help and did a great job with everything and kept her promises with pick up times and etc. Very impressed! read more

This Pharmacy sucks. Once they gave me wrong medication, which was scary, and when I went back to get it correct it took a long while due to the malfunction of the cashier machine, as a result I was late for work and had to go back again. When they called me to go back, I thought everything was solved and it would be straightforward, but it was still having the same problem. I was pissed and at last the manager gave me the medication without charging me, which I didn't appreciate much, as it would have been a lot better if they got everything right the first time. Not too much later, I needed to pick up 2 medications which had to go together. They gave me one medication with a lot of volume ( it turned out they gave me 4 refills), and the other medication they said they were out; it took 12 days to get the other one, and they gave me only 1 refill. I was pissed again, now I had too many medication 1, which I probably didn't need and they were expensive. I had pretty bad experience with them. Too bad there isn't any other Pharmacy nearby. I wish Safeway has a Pharmacy so that I can switch. read more

Picked up a prescription this afternoon, 10/5/22, that required a pharmacist consultation. I went to the consult window. The pharmacist was 3 feet away and ignored me. I said "sir, my medication requires a consult." He impatiently snapped and said he was going to finish something he was working on. So rude and unprofessional! When I first moved to this city, this would be the place where I'll pick up my prescription. Each and every single time I come here, the line for pick up is so long. Even if the line wasn't long, it takes forever to get your medicine. After a year or so, I stopped sending my prescription here. Recently, I've been looking for these Kona coffee macadamia nuts for my aunt. I did a search online and it states that this location has it. After work, I picked up my daughter and came here. Besides not finding what I wanted, I also did not find any other flavors of this brand/nut anywhere in the store. If you're giving people an option to locate stuff that they're looking for, you need to update your website! For such a big store, there are literally no customers. read more

Absolutley horrible and incompetent. They take forever to fill medications and get really confused if you have more then one script. For example I have a Script I requested a refill for online, no contact from the pharamacy, tried calling multiple times with 15 min wait calls before giving up. Then went in a WEEK after the request for them to tell me that they needed a new script for the medication. They didnt call or text about it, and online it shows I've only used 1/3 refills. I refuse to shop at this CVS ever again because of their pharmacy. Their pharmacy had been decent, but really went downhill with the change to CVS. I have had prescriptions lost, prescriptions where the label did not match the contents, prescriptions with the wrong dosage -- multiple times, and in the span of just a few months. The whole "prescriptions ready when promised" is a joke. I had the clerk tell me he didn't put up those signs, so it wasn't his problem. I talked to the regional pharmacy manager on the phone, as well as sending messages to corporate about this store. I gave them one last chance. I got an automated call about refilling my prescriptions on a Saturday, accepted the refill, and was told that it would be ready by noon on Sunday. I come in Monday morning, and the prescription had not been filled. The next day, the clerk acted like I was holding up the line when I opened the bottles to make sure that the pills inside actually matched the description on the bottle. read more

I really despise the fact that my medical insurance will only be accepted thru CVS pharmacy. This pharmacy sucks. I can't say it any other way. I called in my prescription YESTERDAY to be picked up by 12:00 pm today. NOON. It is now 4:45 pm and I came to pick up my prescription. The pharmacy clerk just told me it's going to be a 30-45 minute wait. UNACCEPTABLE! I had told her I called in my prescription yesterday for noon pick up. I got an attitude filled sigh response and an "oh well we're busy but I'll try and bug him to get your prescription filled". WTF IS THAT! This happens every single time with this place too. I don't get it... How can they remain so unorganized all the time! Where is the management? Too busy telling everyone to wait I guess... Seeing how they expanded their prescription pick up area is one step up but come on now. What is the point of expanding your pharmacy if you can't get people their prescriptions on time? I would actually give them a -10 star rating if I could. Yes negative 10. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. EVER. Unless you have no choice like myself... We came here to utilize coupons, which we got in the mail on Friday, to shop at this new CVS Pharmacy location. It is located in a small strip mall in the space that Long's Drugs used to occupy many years ago. Since Longs and Albertson left the mall, the mall has basically been empty except for a few small businesses. It has been without an anchor for such a long time that I almost forgot about the mall. I came in today and walked around the entire store. It still feels like a Long's Drug because CVS took-over Long's Drug. The mix of merchandise is small and I could get better selection at the other stores in the area. However, items on sale are worth going into this store. Parking is super because the mall because, as mentioned above, there are not many businesses at this mall. Check-out was fine but nothing special. Something that I noticed, which makes no-sense to me, is carpeting in a retail store - I wonder how they will keep it clean. Hopefully, the new store will revive the mall. However, for me, unless, I need to specifically go to this store for something, I would probably be at another store with better selection and pricing. read more

The worst CVS I've ever been in, and that's saying something. I forget what this store used to be, but growing up this strip mall was nowhere near as rundown. Basically, this is where chain stores go to die. It's an oversized space for a poorly stocked CVS and checked-out employees. There are always pan handlers out front and the only time the staff seems to pay attention is when they are eyeballing for shop lifters near the door. Classy. Actually, I'll correct myself. One time a cashier perked up when she saw my work ID and wanted to ask me questions about how to get a job there. True story. Otherwise, they are all visibly miserable. I've only used their actual pharmacy once and it was a huge hassle. Just shopping for OTC medicine is the only thing they're good for, but the prices are no better than you can get across the street at Safeway, and you'd likely be checked out faster there. My doctor's office called in two prescriptions for me. I never got a text my prescriptions were ready so I had to make a special trip to check on them the next day. The pharmacist told me my other prescription wasn't ready. When I called to check on the other prescription the person who answered the phone, Jerry, was very rude. He couldn't find the other prescription and told me to calm down. I was concerned not excited. That was rude of him. He was extremely emotional and went on to VERY LOUDLY say my name, dob, telephone number and home address. I have no idea how many customers were able to hear my PERSONAL INFORMATION. That was in violation of the HIPAA Privacy Act and illegal. Finally he gave the phone to the pharmacist who said she had never told me my second prescription wasn't ready. She lied. I know exactly what she said. I called my doctor's office and they said the pharmacy refused to take the prescription for the second medication and the doctor had to call in that prescription. CVS is very unprofessional, unorganized and rude not to mention they violate the HIPAA Privacy Act and do not protect customers private information. read more

When I first began to go to this pharmacy about a year ago they were a little rough in their services. The prescription was to be completed by a certain time and it wasn't but later I learned a system with them. At times the disconnect was between the medical office and the pharmacy. So I created a system of clarity. I would go into the store check to make sure that it was called in and that they received it and then go back later in the day (at the specified time they allocated) and to my surprise it was always there and ready. In my doing this usually my prescription (depending upon what it is) is completed within less than 45 minutes from start to finish in using this system. They are improving and getting better; there staff is limited but there are a LOT of customers to service. As I better understand them and how they operate. Personally I prefer them to get it right than to rush and get things wrong and them I'm suffering because of it. People remember they are dealing with medication not bed lining ;-) try to work with them on this one! read more

I came here to get a greeting card and a gift card. Reading about this location's pharmacy from previous reviews is almost comical. However, in terms of greeting card selection, it was a bit sparse. Not as much as I'm used to and I wish there were a few more options. Also, I went to purchase a Disney Parks gift card and was told by the checkout person that the store policy is that gift cards can only be purchased by debit or cash. Huh? Apparently, people have been stealing credit cards and using them to purchase gift cards so this is the store's countermeasure against that. Fair warning to any of you who want to buy a gift card here with a credit card. I'm unsure as to whether this policy applies to all CVS stores so try supermarkets or other pharmacies as alternatives. read more

Hello Michael Store Manager and Mark Pharmacy Specialist, After leaving the store Friday morning I knew this was a lost cause. But if I am wrong about that assumption, I will take this down. I am considering never going into another CVS store to buy anything again unless its the only store open. I did it for a number of years. At least 10 if not more like 15. After driving all the way home calling my doctors office and then all the way back to the store when I approached the counter I asked for the district managers full name and phone number. The Pharmacist totally ignored me and told me he was the lead Pharmacist. I obviously was very agitated (described it in page 1) He asked (3) three times the exact same question. He asked me once, then repeated the question "Did the medication amount change" and I told him very clearly and distinctly "NO the amount has NOT changed". So when he asked me again, with everything else that had already happened, I had it. I answered the question and each time I said it I told him to call my Pharmacist. Along with my request for the name of the district manager and his contact information along with pleading with him to just fill the script, I went back because I did not have my piece of paper or the DM name & number. At no time did anyone ever simply offer me the name and number of the manager or DM and fill the script (after I answered the pharmacists question twice very clearly) and send me on my way. THAT is ALL I wanted. So I apologize for getting upset like I did. But that was the circumstances and obviously it "contributed" to my anger that I answered TWICE very clearly his question with "NO The amount of the medications have NOT changed at all". I want to know why it was necessary to keep asking me the same question over and over. The bottom line: Your Pharmacist is the one most at fault in the incident yesterday for ignoring me and my request, not accepting my first answer the first time he asked me if the amount had changed and for not calling the Doctor office like I told him to do. You know how I believe this could have been completely avoided? When I first went into the store IF the woman at the cash register said to me the following: "Oh you know what, you're a regular customer that has been coming here for months so instead of tossing your script back at you and telling you to go to your Doctor office (Walnut Creek is clearly on the script) why don't I call or one of my co workers call and show you excellent customer service?? That way, you can avoid a 2 hour drive to your doctor with a 3 minute phone call be resolved! It will only take a couple of minutes to get this all cleared up. Thank you for your patience." How about that? One should NOT have to go through this to get their medications filled. Seriously. read more

This place gets 5 stars from me because of its decent quality film processing. That's really the only reason why I go here. CVS/pharmacy is one of the few remaining local stores that still processes film. They've never failed me when it comes to developing my latest shots. My negatives always return scratch-less, and the prints are always pretty acceptable. Unlike Wal-Mart. Don't even think about going there for your film processing needs. I never have to worry about long lines because there's a separate customer service area for photo-related transactions (but you can bring other items there too). The people behind the desk are always nice to me, and if there's no one there, I just press a nice big red button off to the side that gets someone to the desk within 30 seconds. CVS/pharmacy gets my 5 star props for their good cashiers, and great photo service. (They even sell HD and B&W film!) read more
