The store manager at this location is a complete stress monster. She belittles her crew and complains about them to customers it always complains about how busy she is because her crew is incompetent. I have noticed this on multiple incidences that I have been into this store .when she is not there The crew is extremely polite and helpful. Things are different when she is there. The people at this store are very rude and have zero customer service skills and don't know how to mind their own business. Me and my boyfriend came in to look for some drinks. His ID is expired so I offered to get whatever we were getting. The shots were $4 a shot which is ridiculous bc we can go and get them any where else for $2 the most. My boyfriend asked why they were so expensive since the sign on them read 99 cents. The rude lady at the counter then proceeds to say very rude how we have to have a number to get it that price and how their signs aren't wrong. I hurry up and paid quickly because I already didn't like how rude the lady behind the counter was being and just wanted to get our drinks and leave. My boyfriend made a comment about how the price was ridiculous and he don't wanna pay for it and how people there are rude because as we getting checked out the same lady is rolling her eyes and just don't look like she happy to be there. We take the items and As we are walking out the store a completely different worker walks down an aisle to make a comment about how my man should leave me. We both turned around and asked why she made that comment as we weren't even talking about her and she doesn't even know us to be speaking like that. She then proceeds to come outside the store pressing us and make wild accusations about our relationship and about me paying for the items. I tried explaining to her that my boyfriend ID is expired so therefore he wouldn't have been able to get them but she wouldn't listen to me and just kept speaking/ yelling over me and just kept commenting about our purchase and our relationship and making crazy assumptions. Of course we had some not so kind words with her back because we already wasn't having good customer service to begin with and wasn't gonna let them treat us the way they were. One of the other workers that wasn't involved literally had to pull this chick inside because she was looking like she wanted to fight us Coming outside the store just pressing us and talking about stuff she knows nothing about. These workers are very very disrespectful, rude, and need to mind their own business and stay tf out of customers. I'm sorry if yall didn't have a good day and miserable with your job but you should learn to mind your business and do your job like you get paid to do. Covid-19 Review: First time using the app to place an order and picking it up. The BevMo closest to me closed, unfortunately. The order process was pretty easy, Idk why the app didn't take my $10 off coupon I had just gotten in the mail. But liquor is a necessity, so I trudged on and went ahead and placed my order. I drove up and noticed they had 2 lines, the one on the left side was no pre-order, the one on the right was online or app order. That line was longer, but moved very quickly. It was definitely much quicker than the no pre-order line. One caveat which was a bit of inconvenience was I was asked for an ID. I actually travel super light so I would only have keys, credit card with photo ID on the back. Luckily I had a copy of my license with me. Quick and easy process. read more

Well, okay, I'll upgrade my rating on this store, though I'm not entirely confident that the problems are really resolved. They *have* begun finally restocking their beer shelves; though they've only partially done the job and many shelves are still empty, they have gotten several different hefeweisens in for me, which was most important... I *did* exchange some emails with the customer service department, who had responded to my original post... they stated that they had been impacted by the 'supply chain disruptions', which many other businesses have been struggling with... I'm not entirely convinced, but I'll take their word for it for now. I'll have to see how trends go in coming weeks. This Bevmo is smaller than most but still probably has everything you need. The line at the register was quick and the people working there friendly. The price of the largest Jack Daniels was apparently cheaper than the Costco price - I was with a very price conscience friend who informed me... If you combine that with the emailed $10 off its probably the best deal around - important more so if your a big drinker. I really didn't want to schlug a Costco sized Jack so I grabbed and tried out a slightly more expensive Gentleman's Jack instead. That was the first time I ever had that type of Jack - it was better than the standard stuff - more complex flavors... probably not special enough not to mix with Coke though. read more

This location had seven bottles of my swill. Visited another BevMo earlier today and they were out. Reasonably large, this place would be my go-to in a pinch. Maybe even regularly... Interactions with employees were pleasant. First guy asked me if I'd found everything I was seeking. Second lady gave me correct change and bagged my bottles so that they'd survive a low impact accident. Crossing Mowry was a fun challenge. Happened eventually though. Go here for yo drank. I rarely come to BevMo and the reason? Well I don't drink very often LOL. I had to attend a moving away party and what do you give a true blood cowboy. The biggest bottle of Whisky you can find and a 2 liter of Coke. I have to say that this store is very big and it is also clean. I encourage all to sign up for their free BevMo discount card. The prices are competitive because if you saw that big bottle of Gentlemen Jack $40.00 bucks is nothing. If you go to Safeway, CVS etc the prices are much higher. When I entered the store I was greeted right away and as I was roaming around their huge selection of liquor they also had good prices on chips, candy and soda's. I truly appreciate that when I was trying to decide between the good old fashion Jack, single barrel and Gentlemen Jack that the representative was able to describe the difference between the products and how they can be used. I choose Gentlemen Jack because it was a happy medium good served straight with ice or mixed with coke and it was just 10.00 dollars more for the better stuff. In the end my friend ended up hiding this for his new home hahaha I can't blame him and both he and wife gorgeous wife loved it. The cashier at this location is rude as hell! Totally unprofessional and annoying. I went in tonight for some wine and upon check out I requested cash back on the pin pad. When she was printing my receipt she noticed that i had asked for cash back on her computer and got irate immediately. She took the money out of the register and threw it down telling her co worker "i don't even have enough money in my drawer for this!!" Then it got worse.. She strait up said to me and my friend "Y'all should have let me know you were going to ask for cash back i would have told y'all nah" ... Like, Excuse me? The pin pad asked if i would like any cash back... and i said yes, i don't need to ask permission from you to do so. So rude and such a terrible experience. Even her co worker looked embarrassed of her behavior. Luckily he knew how to do a "loan" as he called it, so he went to the back and got my money. Anyhow I am not allowing someone to put my id in an unsecure database. Walked out and left my purchase on the counter. I love BevMo as they have a lot of spirits that not all super markets have. They have a large selection of wine, beers, hard liquor, mixes and snacks. I can go here and have the hardest time selecting! I love the little trial oz bottles to try. It can range from $5-11 depending on the brand. My only grip is it can be on the higher end of the $ as Costco can be cheaper for some select brands but only some. I will come back for BevMo!! read more

GERMAN BEER TO COOK SCHWEINSHAXE (BAVARIAN VERSION OF THE FILIPINO DISH CRISPY PATA) One of my last meals I listed on Yelp was crispy pata, a traditional Filipino dish that's a pork hock with crispy skin. My only knock on this dish is the meat tend to be stringy and dry. The reason I listed this dish as my last meal in Yelp was due to my eating experience in Germany. Several years ago I went to Germany for the World Cup. One of the towns I visited was Rothenberg, a Bavarian town recommended to visit through my Rick Steves Germany Guidebook. One night in town I ate at a beer garden known for its schweinshaxe, which is German (more specifically a Bavarian) version of crispy pata. Unlike the Filipino version that is first boiled then fried the Bavarian version is slowly roasted in the oven for 4 hours. Both versions have the crispy skin but the Bavarian version had the succulent meat. In addition to the schweinshaxe the side came with potato dumpling, which is a mixture is raw and cook potatoes. Of course since I ate a beer garden I needed drink a liter of German beer. That night was the best European dining experience I ever had. For Christmas I stated to my family that I would cook crispy pata. I've never cooked crispy pata or schweinshaxe before. I looked at some YouTube videos to see different ways to cooked it. What I didn't know about schweinshaxe is that it's cooked with German beer. Whether it's crispy pata or schweinshaxe the dish is still a crispy pork hock. I've researched the web and the consensus is that the recipe is best when dark beer is used. So I thought of finding a dark German beer. To find that type of beer isn't really easy. I tried to find it in supermarkets and liquor stores but to no avail. So I decided to go to BevMo. I know it's a chain but BevMo carries numerous brands of beer especially international brands that aren't in stock in either supermarkets or liquor stores. BevMo also carries other types of liquor and wine however I believe BevMo is a better place to buy beer than wine. There is an abundance of international beer. I went to the Asian beer section to look for San Miguel Beer, which is a Filipino beer. I found the beer but it was a pale pilsner. San Miguel Beer makes two flavors: pale pilsner and dark lager. If BevMo carried the dark lager of San Miguel Beer I would have bought it instead of German beer. The German beer section carries an abundance of beer from different breweries. However most of the German beer in this BevMo store is wheat beer, which tends to be light. I was able to find a dark German beer. After cooking the schweinshaxe in German beer I can see why the dark beer is important - it gives an amber color on skin of the pork hock that makes the skin appear crispier than if the skin was a golden color. I'm very happy that I went to BevMo to find a dark German beer. In the future if I'm going to buy any international beer, whether it's German or Filipino, I'm definitely going back to BevMo before going to supermarkets or liquor stores. read more

Tons of parking and the store itself is nice and organized. Customer service however is a totally different story. I placed an online order and was supposed to get notified when my order was ready for pickup...I was never notified. When I got there to pick up I stood by the pick up sign for a while before a girl came to ask if I had been helped. When I mentioned that I had not, but that I spotted my order and pointed to it. She asked for my ID and started moving boxes around looking for my order. Thinking that she might have not heard me, I repeated that my order was there and pointed at it...she looked up and looked at the box and huffed and puffed. This is my go-to spot whenever I need alcohol for cheap and rack up my BevMo points ;). They literally have EVERYTHING you can think of. From Hennessy Paradis to Budweiser. Just about anything. They do offer wine tasting at the back of the store, but be aware that it isn't free to do tasting with the food pairing. For all you wine connoisseurs, beer lovers, drunkies, or ppl who needs chasers to gulp down that hard rubbing alcohol into your system, this is the place to go! The only downside is that they close early, which was pretty inconvenient for me. Tip: If buying Hennessy VS, Patron, Ciroc, or most popular liquors (like Grey Goose, etc), you don't need to go to the shelves. You can just go buy them right at the register. read more

Recently started going to Bevmo. Great selection of wines, beer and everything in between. The staff is really knowledgeable and friendly. On Friday - Sunday they offer wine and beer tasting for 10 cents. (Yes I said 10 cents!). Jeanette is usually serving wine and is a great time and knows her wine. My GF and I decided to go to a free event at this specific location (FYI - you must RSVP to get in the tasting room through their website, which you can also view any future events). They offered free wine and hors d'oeuvres for all guest. Defiantly coming back for the wine/beer tastings and events. read more

I love this BevMo! I mean they are practically all the same, but this just happens to be my favorite one on the basis that it's the first BevMo! I've been too and I just happen to visit this one even more than my local one for whatever reason. This place is filled to the brim with alcohol over every type. If you're having a party and want to spice things up a bit, then this should be a place you visit if you like a variety in your alcohol. Sake, wine, champagne, mountain brewed beer! It has a it all. The staff is normally very friendly so that's always a bonus. They aren't the cheapest with alcohol, but if you're a member it helps with the cost. The only way BevMo could possibly get a negative review is customer service. Thank goodness my neighborhood BevMo trains their employees to be pleasant and courteous (which they are). I'm always greeted with a friendly hello and a smile. With the great customer service, huge parking lot, and everything you need to satisfy your late night liquor needs, BevMo is the best. I can not stress enough how convenient BevMo is. I'm just waiting for the day BevMo doesn't have what I'm looking for (just to see if their slacking)..... They always do. ANYTHING!!!!! I'm sure bottles have fell over and spilled over the years but.... No sticky floors. From Basic well liquor to top shelf aged 50 years liquor, BevMo has it all. A one stop liquor shop. Even though its a chain and very corporate, it is clean, organized and not so large, that i have to search endlessly to find what i'm looking for. Often times i go in with nothing in particular in my mind, and walk out with several special items on sale in my cart. This week i had to buy b-day presents for 3 friends, a 21 yr. old, a 37 yr. old, and a 62 yr. old. i was able to knock out all three, plus couple of bottles of wine for myself in one hand cart. A 1.75 L of Absolut Mandarin for the youngster, split bottles of fruit brandys for my boss (one from france, other from oregon) and a fine Austrailian red for an elder family member. Just take your business elsewhere. The cashiers need training on behavior, customer service. None of that exists at this store at the moment. The one time I walked into the store not noticing that it's 9 PM, the cashier comes out from nowhere and yells a loud "GET OUT". Then the next second changes his mind and lets me make the purchase anyway. 1. You could have let me know politely that it is off-hours, no service. I'd walk away no problem. 2. You should make sure to put a sign or close the door when you are closed. How are your customers supposed to know otherwise? Get trained or find another job that doesn't need soft skills.
