Do better! CVS I Left H-E-B earlier an stopped in CVS to add money to my chime card which I've done a number of times at Walgreens. Walgreens advertises. Chime. I had to look up if CVS worked with them and they did so I stoped in. I asked if they load chime cards. The cashier said yes. So I put $360 on the card. He asked for another $4.95. I asked, what is that for... he replied he doesn't know it must be coming from chime. He said It's an activation fee. I said that's odd. I've never got that before whatever... he then said he would need another $4.95. I said I just handed you $360 just take it out of that. He said no additionally. I gave him another $5. I thought it was strange. So I got on my app and asked chime. Why did you charge me $4.95? They said we don't charge a fee. It must be a third-party. I'm familiar with POS systems and the cash discount. But in Texas, you need to tell the consumer that there is a charge before the purchase... Don't blame the other company! I wasn't making a purchase, but that's not the point ... the cashier wasn't properly trained and didn't tell me that there would be a third-party fee which Walgreens does not have. Or any other that I know of. I went back in to inform them that what they're doing is illegal. They need to have a sign posted for the consumer to make that decision before being charged the processing fee. Don't lie when confronted! The manager was just as oblivious and said he would pass it on to his director. Instead of I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I was not aware of this. I will make this right in the future so no one else needs to go through this. And most of all that we are not breaking the law. Texas Law: As you could see here. I over worked myself with my workouts and seeking a cream for pain relief. I was greeted by a helpful store clerk. I asked her where are here nerve creams. She actually walked me to find what I am searching for. I was so relieved since the neck nerves were painful. They carry Nervive which works for pain relief. I also bought Salonpas which is for relief of minor aches and pains. My merce pain receptors were feeling better after I applied the cream. Thanks so much for help I needed. Only, negative I would say is the fact that the store was confusing to find certain items. It was clean and shelves nicely stacked well. There is a Minute Clinic in the CVS store. I'm really disappointed with my last prescription. It is for my anxiety & menopause symptoms. I turned the prescription in on Friday, they were out of it & said they would have it Monday. Late Monday their website said it was moved to Tuesday availability. I called Tuesday because all the symptoms were getting to be too much. A nice man named David said he would prepare some for me to hold me over. 6 hours later & nothing. I called. David did what he said but whoever prepared it did not send me a notice it was ready & I had to call again to get the status. More compassion please! My husband is going to pick it up now thankfully because I am feeling like a raging bitch who can't stop crying. read more

I said, "Since there is no one here to even pick up a prescription, I would like to make an appointment for now or 15 minutes from now." I was told no. I had to go home and register online. Not good service if you are heading to CVS Pharmacy for medications. We lost our home in the winter storm and in the interim were staying in Lakeway. I did the drive thru because I had a 1 week old baby in the car and was not going to take her in. The woman seemed extremely unhappy to even have to speak to anyone or do her job, I felt as if I was bothering her. I had the prescription called in the day before and it took an entire day for it to be ready, when I arrived she said it would take 25 minutes to get insurance put in to the system (the med was for my newborn so she wasn't in the system yet) .. My 18 month son is on over 30 different meds so I am a frequent flyer when it comes to pharmacies and it typically takes about 5 min to get insurance input... She said I had to either wait in the car or come in around 20 minutes... My baby was screaming.. so I pulled around and waited in the parking lot. Go back in 20 minutes: she still had not input any information in to the system and then I had to wait another 15 min in my car. Not acceptable, there are luckily many other pharmacies to go to, so I would absolutely try to steer clear of this one when it comes to getting medications filled. read more

I went here for a Covid test as a precaution. I was shocked at how rude the greeter person at the drive-up window was. Probably the most rude person I have ever encountered at any CVS or pharmacy anywhere ever. Maybe they were having a bad day, but they were beyond rude and dismissive and getting angry for no real reason. I will never go to this CVS again and will definitely not recommend the pharmacy here to anyone for sure. read more

Buyer beware at this pharmacy! They do not stand behind their prescriptions! If you wish to talk with anyone in a higher position than manager you get the Royal runaround! It's no wonder this location has such poor rating! Also just a note , according to the policy I read on CVS the manager snd district managers are suppose to be readily available and posted on the door. Neither of these are at this pharmacy. It is such a revolving door of managers that it does not surprise me! In short just stay away from the lakeway CVS. If you must use a CVS use the one inside Target Bee Cave. When I spoke with them they were more than willing to connect me with the manager and district but unfortunately they were in a different jurisdiction than the lakeway location! Also to note, this is not the first time that I have had a problem with an expensive medication not being replaced when expired before my use, through no fault of my own. read more

This is a review specific to passport photos. I had the photos taken at this CVS. There was a little confusion with them understanding how to use the camera but once that was out of the way it was pretty simple and I was in and out of the store in under 15 minutes. Friendly cheerful service - the stars are for the great staff at CVS. The missing stars, well, read on. Unfortunately the photos were rejected by the US Dept of State because the resolution is too low, so while CVS will retake the photos for free if they are rejected, there's no value because the equipment they are using does not meet the minimum standards for US Dept of State as of January 2019. Money and time down the drain. Get your passport photos elsewhere. read more

The store is dirty, containers stacked high and boxes everywhere, candy bar boxes dumped with candy bars laying on the floor, shelves not stocked, the front register person didn't show up for at least 5 minutes while waiting. There was a new gal there who was very sweet and helpful but brand new and needed the manager, who was busy, in order to answer all my questions on how to develop camera rolls. read more

Pharmacy worker (one in particular) is awful. Her name is (the highest symbol in a deck of cards)... miserable unhappy worker and she takes it out on customers. It's an unprofessional atmosphere ... Tanya is great! The Pharmacist was lovely but this morning an altercation occurred and he backed this rude worker. If I could give this store a zero I would. Tatian the pharmacist or pharmacist tech, is the rudest individual I have ever met. After several years of using this pharmacy, yesterday will be the last. She is hateful to everyone she meets and always has been. My daughter was very ill and dropped prescription at window, she asked if I could pick it up. I went through drive thru, Leila the other assistant was working window. When she gave me prescription it was much more than my daughter had paid before, for the same prescription. So I asked if she ran it through her insurance, she said yes. I explained that it was almost double what she paid before. I then asked if she could run through RX drug discount? All the sudden, Tatian was yelling at the window what's the problem. I explained situation to Tatian, she said, we don't have time for this, she had been working 13 hours and just didn't have time. I said, ok then I need paper prescription back , that daughter would try a different pharmacy, because the cost was extremely higher than a previous purchase for the same prescription. She yelled I don't have time for this, I have been working 13 hours, there are other people waiting and I am getting very agitated with you? I had literally been at window all of a 3 minute conversation and there was 1 car behind me. I had waited my turn in line, all I was asking for, was the paper prescription to be returned. I explained my daughter was very sick and I needed to try and find this at the correct rate it suppose to be charged. She yelled , again we file them so you will have to wait awhile. I explained it was turned in less than hour ago? It couldn't be that hard to find. She yelled go around and you will have to come in the store, then slammed the window in my face? Well, that was exactly what I did. We got into argument when I came in, she then gets on the microphone over the entire store and yells David, I am leaving, David comes from back, she yells at him then takes her purse and storms out! David comes from the back, he is frazzled as I am sure he is not understanding what's going on. She yells at him before storming off about what I need? Seriously a melt down for trying to find the original paper prescription? David walked straight to the counter, Low and behold there it was! All I could think of is the amount of elderly people she has done this to. She needs to be fired! Filling prescriptions and answering questions about cost and maintaining those prescriptions is her JOB. Never go to this pharmacy as you can see in reviews this is a common practice from Tatian, she has been working at this pharmacy for a long time. After all was said and done, my daughter ended up just paying the inflated price, as she needed medicine immediately. When checking out with Leila, I asked what Tatians name was. Leila apologized and said, they are short staffed and everyone was working long hours. I said, that is no excuse to treat people horribly. Absolutely no excuse! As I was walking out a man with a disability said, I just want to Thank you. She had slammed a window in his face when he came to pick up a prescription 3 minutes before closing and said, we are closed! Does she not understand she is dealing with sick people that need there medications? He said, he just didn't have the nerve to confront her, and told me thank you for doing that. For the second time in the past few years, my husband was given the wrong medication from the pharmacy. The first time, the bag had his name and info stapled to it, but the vial inside had medications for someone with a completely different name. Fortunately, my husband had opened the vial and knew that the pills were different than what he usually takes, so looked at the label and discovered the mistake. The pharmacy handled it very well at that point, apologizing and swapping the prescriptions so that my husband had what he needed. This time, the medication given to my husband had a similar name to what had been prescribed, but was not the correct medication. When he took the meds back to CVS, he was very surprised that the clerk and the (female) pharmacist seemed not at all concerned that he had been given the wrong medication - their only concern (one which was stated several times) was that he had not brought his receipt, so they were not going to reimburse. He was not interested in a refund (although the insurance company may be when they find out he was given the wrong meds). My husband wanted them to see that they had given him the wrong meds, so that they could correct whatever failure there is in the system and not have it happen to him or anyone else again. There was no acknowledgement of their error, no apology, no concern. So please review your prescriptions carefully when you receive them. Know what you have been prescribed and make sure it is what you have been given. read more

I recently filled a prescription here and noticed when I got home that the medication was not in the box. After both calling and visiting the store I was told that there is nothing that they could do about it and that the medication was too expensive for them to just replace for me. All I could think of was that I'm sure their price is less than half of what I pay and insurance doesn't cover any of it! The pharmacist and store manager were both rude and very unhelpful. I was told to contact the medication manufacturer and see if they could replace it for me. I have also received phone calls from pharmacy staff regarding medications for another patient that shares my name but has a different birthdate. They have horrible customer service and most of the employees are rude. I will never go back there again. read more

I want to give some positive feedback for my visit yesterday. Both my wife and I went in and got our Flu shots, the Pharmacist on duty not only was professional but also very cordial to us both. He talked about his love for his dogs and how spoiled they were, as my wife had her service dog with her. He deserves recognition or customer friendly atmosphere and professional attitude. We even laughed about the dog not needing his flu shot. This is my neighborhood pharmacy bd I am glad to have friendliness and professionalism there. read more

The "Minute Clinic" is definitely NOT indicative of fast or even effective service. Went early today for a flu shot (every drug store is saying come and get it now) so I sign in via their system (2nd in line) and the estimated wait is 42 min?! But I say ok just get it done,.... 45 minutes later the Tech finishes, comes out and calls another person who showed up 30 minutes after me (they had an infection of some kind) and not a single word to me. I get up to leave (I was mad but said nothing) and the Tech says loudly "did you want a flu shot?" ie your not as important as the folks you were ahead of but Ill get to you later. I declined. Here is the rub, went down the street to HEB where the pharmacy was busy but completed the paperwork and had the shot in 10 minutes. Forget these CVS jokers and simply go where you know they are customer oriented. read more

I have been coming to this particular CVS for over 10 years and use them for everything. Just recently, I took my prescription in to be filled and the woman named TANYA with blonde hair was just awful. She was yelling at everyone, especially the tall guy, I cant remember his name, to get it together and not make people wait yada yada yada. I understand customer service as I have been in customer service in several different industries, but never in my life had I seen such a poor display of professionalism, or unprofessionalism in my life. She was very rude and if she is a manager, she really has a poor sense of what it means to be a leader. Do not berate your coworkers in front of customers! read more

I go to this CVS to pick up my prescription since it's close to my office and I have to use either CVS or Walmart for my insurance. I think everyone that works in the pharmacy is miserable because I've continuously experienced crappy customer service here. Like other Yelpers have said, many of the staff members are just downright rude. I've also had trouble with them screwing up my prescriptions. Somehow they managed to make 2 different accounts for me in their system, so that's always confusing and makes the staff even more irritated when I go try to pick up my prescriptions. I'm giving it 2 stars because there have been a couple of times that I did receive average customer service. read more

See letter below: To Whom It May Concern, I have a complaint about the Minute Clinic in the CVS location located at: 2306 Ranch Rd 620, Lakeway, TX. I encountered Poison Ivy on my property a few days prior to my visit to this location on Friday September 18th. While at work on Friday I noticed the rash was getting really bad and knew that I needed to try and see a Dr. before the weekend. I called my insurance company, Aetna and they referred me to two walk-in clinics in the area. I called the Minute Clinic number to see what time they closed and to find out if they treated poison Ivy. I live in rural Spicewood and it takes me about 40 minutes to get to this location, so I wanted to make sure there would be no issues. This conversation occurred about 4 pm. I answered several questions and I was told they could defiantly treat the problem and that the clinic will be open till 7:30. So I had my girlfriend drive me over. We got into the clinic and filled out the check-in information at the kiosk, put in my number. We were told there were 4 ahead of us so there could be a long wait. We spent the next hour or so walking around the store shopping, sitting and waiting inside and outside. Checking several times to see how much longer. I went up to check with the nurse at 6 and found her over by the pharmacy chatting with other employees. I asked her how much longer was the wait was and she told me she was closed. I said closed? I have been here for over an hour look at me? She said it's not her problem and to go somewhere else. I was shocked. What you mean go somewhere else I said. It's after 6 and I have been waiting here for over an hour. I put in my number and everything. She said it's not her job to call you and she isn't helping anyone else today. She again said not my problem. I'm closed now. I did not see her name and when I asked for it she started out the door. She was of Asian descent. Then she directed me to another CVS near Cedar Park (by the time I drove there they would have been closed) so she decided to close over and hour early and leave me without medical treatment. I was so outraged that someone in the medical field could look at a person in need and basically blow them off. I was so upset I immediately called the Minute Clinic number to complain. That phone call was almost as crazy as the treatment I was given at the clinic. The first woman I got on the phone with basically told me she can close when she wants to regardless if someone is waiting. She also proceeded to ask me questions about if the rash was located in a private area, as if that was a reason or excuse. I told her the rash was on my legs and forearms and was becoming more severe by the minute. I asked to speak with her supervisor because all I was getting from this conversation was that I apparently am the issue.....not sure how I'm the issue yet, but apparently an apology and a resolution is impossible to get from customer service. I was then given over to a supervisor. I had to repeat the whole story over again, after the 30 plus minute phone conversation I was given the apology and told they were filing a complaint and I would hear something back from them in 7 days. Well its day 11. Still haven't heard a thing. I left two numbers...my email. I guess nobody cares. Nobody at CVS or Minute Clinic. I did not get any treatment over the weekend and my rash grew to the point of being severe! I was seen at the urgent care in Bee Cave and given two types of steroid because of the severity of the rash. The point of this letter is to communicate the treatment of one of your valued customers. I used to come to CVS by- weekly. I will never return to a CVS for anything because they fail to take any responsibility. Is there a manager at this location? Does anyone take responsibility for the posted hours? When am I going to receive a call or an explanation for how I was treated? read more

Rarely do I bother with reviews of anything. However, the sub standard service dispensed by this particular CVS pharmacy has compelled me to write one. If I could give no stars I would. My first annoyance is the fact that every time we pull up to the pickup window we are consistently ignored and have to park and go inside. Today my wife had surgery and the doctor informed me that she had called in my wife's pain medication so that we could pick it up on the way home. After leaving the hospital an hour and a half later I show up and the prescription is not ready. The pharmacy person tells me 10 more minutes. At this point we wait in the parking lot while my wife begins waking up fully from the anesthesia. I go in 15 minutes later and still not ready. I explain my wife's situation to the same pharmacy person and politely voice my frustration. At this point she simply walks away and begins working behind the counter. She also seems to think my situation is quite humorous and voices this to one of her co workers under her breath. Ten minutes later the prescription is finally ready. Being new to the area we selected this CVS to fill our prescriptions. I will now drive however far I have to in order to avoid this particular CVS. My opinion is that this CVS pharmacy is a poster child for abysmal service. I'm left with the thought that you actually have to try to be this bad. read more

In my experience, the pharmacy staff is not friendly or helpful. They called after 2 days of me filling a prescription (rudely) asking if I was going to come get it. I have 7 days, don't I? They also leave you on hold FOR-EV-ER & when you finally do get to speak to someone, they won't do what they are suppose to. I asked them to transfer a prescription from another CVS (which is why I was delaying picking up the first Rx). They said they couldn't and I'd have to call my dr to have her call in another one. Instead, I just picked it up at the other CVS (on Slaughter) where the staff is much nicer. read more

Nice that the store is open 24hrs, but the pharmacy staff is awful. My wife called to get pricing on a prescription and was given a price. Next she had her doctor call it in and when she went to pick it up it cost more than quoted($22 more), when my wife questioned the employee she was told " do you want it or not?" Sat there for 37 minutes with a 5 year old and it said my wait time was 6 minutes...only to have it change to 82 minutes. Just inconsiderate of time. Horrible experiences! Years ago Walgreens wouldn't take my husbands insurance 'CVS/Caremark' so he's been going to CVS for the very few prescriptions he'll get yearly. Little did we know Walgreens actually accepts his insurance! I wish I had known this because twice now CVS had failed to let us know our prescriptions wasn't billed through insurance. $18 for 40-60ml of Nystatin Oral Suspension for our newborn's thrush ... not complaining about the cost, but the principle that they didn't care enough to let us know that insurance wasn't applied. The last 3 times we called to speak to a pharmacist the wait was 7 minutes, we spoke to Purvi every time and her tone and over all demeanor was unsettling. She cut me off and wouldn't let me finish explaining/my inquiries. We found out CVS carried Vista Pharma, which is currently experiencing recalls on their fungal medication .... called to ask for the lot number and ndc that was dispensed to us, PURVI continued to argue that the lot and ndc was on the bottle ... no common sense to ponder that after we told her we didn't see it that she would comprehend that they dispensed the oral suspension IN THEIR VIAL, not in the original manufactures packaging. I had enough of their lack of empathy so I decided to pay full price at Walgreens! The pharmacist noticed the cost and questioned whether or not I had insurance. To my surprise Walgreens accepted my insurance! Cash price $28.00 .... billed through insurance $2.33! Walgreens provided exceptional and speedy customer service.
