I'd been driving around all day long trying to find a magnifying glass for my grandmother. This was the 2nd CVS and I'd already been to Target. Well, again, I couldn't find them. They had the little ones but not the larger ones. A woman at the first CVS I went to said they carry them but they were out. So why did this CVS garner a 5-star rating? Well, this woman who was working there went out of her way to help me. She was standing by the door and her job was trying to coax people to change their prescriptions over to CVS, but she tried to help me. She called around to try and locate one of the CVSs which might carry it. After about 10 minutes she located one. I thought that was extremely nice of her. She told me she didn't want me driving around and not finding it. Seriously, I'd never experience THAT kind of service at a CVS before. There's seriously a CVS on every corner in Irvine! New ones are popping up every day. I don't know how they compete with each other! CVS is just a convenient place to come for all your drug, gift card, and cheap make up needs. However, the service is less than fantastic around here. Avoid this location if you can.... If you don't mind accusatory staff. Stopped here to make a makeup foundation return. Saw a line with customers, so I browsed the skincare section at the front of the cashier stand for 2 minutes. When the line died down, the cashier tells me to make sure I do returns before I browse because I "could have just grabbed this item off the shelf." Makeup is located in the far left of the store, specifically the brand I was returning... Will definitely be avoiding this location in the future and stick to my local CVS on Alton. read more

No customer service skills at all. I've dealt with doctors with poor bedside manner and it's laughable to think they think their so superior with their " I just learned these ICD10 codes " blah blah blah. If you don't want to deal with customers in your face who are usually sick or just not feeling well as it is you are in the wrong field. I live in Anaheim Hills but traveled to this particular CVS for their Minute Clinic because I was able to schedule online for my daughter. She needed a sports physical done but my primary care physician couldn't see her until 2 weeks. We met with the Minute Clinic Nurse Practioner- Elizabeth. I just wanted to say that she was extremely professional, knowledgeable and was just great toward my daughter. My daughter was able to ask questions and get informative advice from Elizabeth. Minute Clinic- A+ Staff at this CVS were very friendly. Also, for anyone complaining about the parking here at CVS then that's just hilarious. This is a shopping plaza with grocery stores, many restaurants so it's expected to be pretty busy. I found parking a bit further away. Unless you are handicap and need to park at the door which I completely respect, but seriously there is parking spaces! read more

This pharmacy needs to have their techs go through customer service training. I went to ask a question about paying with my FSA card and the pharmacy tech gave me such attitude about asking a simple question. She did everything but roll her eyes at me. That was just ridiculous. I just came out of a surgery and was in need of some assistance and am in a great amount of pain, the way they treat their customers is just awful. No stars. I love this location because it opens an hour before the others ones in Irvine. It was super efficient too. I received a notification that my prescription was ready to go after an hour of leaving the dr's office. That's quick service. When I arrived to pick up the meds, the pharmacist told me how to take the medication which was EXACTLY opposite of what was on the written instructions so I just went with the instructions. Let's hope what's in writing is more accurate. :) read more

Kind of upsetting that I lost my wallet in the store or perhaps outside where there are cameras. The cameras won't work if CVS doesn't work the paid security on the premises. This makes me upset to think that with my permission that they wouldn't let security see footage is kind of backwards. The RPH and others that work in the prescription area is the only reason I'd go to this store. They kick ass in that department with a small number of people just one after another. I cannot get CVS pharmacy computer to stop calling me. I have tried for years but it still calls. They refill prescriptions you did not ask for. They say they will put a note in the computer, but either don't put the note, or no one reads the notes. I called corporate customer service and the girl there said she will mark it so they do not call. I have heard that dozens of times. We'll see. They also change different prices for the same med and cannot explain why, just say it was what the insurance company told them. I have to frequently tell the staff to remove a med from auto refill, and that they should make sure all of my meds are set the same. But once or twice a year, every year, the CVS system marks everything auto refill. The staff has no answer, for anything really. It is not just this location. I switched from the Irvine Blvd location because they became too busy and were not getting prescriptions done timely, or even at all, some times. read more

I am not rating the pharmacy at this moment. All I could say, it is always slow and they seem to be always busy; so be aware of more than a reasonable waiting time on their peak times. However, I would like to place a public complaint on one of their cashiers at the front store. Rania is her name and she has no skills for this job at all...Her Aggressive behavior, impatience intolerance and negative attitude makes me wonder why is she still there. If she is not going to treat regular customers with her best behavior, I believe she needs to look for a job that suits her better and probably it sis not on the retail business at all. Not only she raised her voice at me but also lied to her manager saying that I was the one who screamed at her...if the store has cameras...please I suggest you to take a look at what it is recorded during her shift since she is a liar and a very detestable individual. This location is deceptive in how it markets a new CVS program, CarePass. The staff will promote CarePass and only tell you that you will save $10 on your initial purchase. Then when you read the details of the program, your card will be deducted $5 per month. In order to unenroll from the program, you have to call a toll free number that isn't staffed Sundays and has a long wait time to call. Don't trust them! read more

This review is solely for the pharmacy: Pros: People are friendly and not rude. It has a drive-thru. Cons: I've forgiven them a couple times but this is getting ridiculous. No communication between the staff at all!! My medications are on a cycle so I just roll up, tell them my name, and they hand me my meds. I have 2, so they always give me 2 bags. As usual, they handed me 2 bags and I didn't bother to check and went home. That night, I opened one up and was about to take it but realized the medicine in the bottle was different than usual. I opened the other bag and it was the same bottle but different med! They didn't bother to tell me that 1) they changed bottles and 2) they changed the shape of the medicine!! By the time I noticed this, it was past closing time. Therefore, I didn't take my medicine. I had to call them the next day and they had to look it up that my med did change shape and so was the bottle but was assured that it was the same type of medicine. I had to research a bit before I was positive. I have an auto immune illness that requires me to take an anti-depressant for pain purposes. These kinds of meds can play tricks with your brain and can make you have suicidal thoughts if not taken properly. I was very upset and made my complaints clear. Another time, I picked up my meds to find much later that they gave me the wrong dosage! The difference in pills were minimal as they looked similar. Thankfully, I noticed in time. What upsets me is that bc my meds are on a cycle, there was no reason for it to have changed! Just suddenly, one day, they gave me the wrong dosage! Seriously?! Again, an extremely dangerous mistake!! Lastly, I had ordered a peakflow (for inhaler purposes) for my daughter. They didn't have any and said they would order it and come back in a few days. I did, and when I came back, they said they already gave it to someone else who wanted it. Apparently, they didn't write down my name and gave it to the first person who asked for one. I was actually fine and ordered another one. I came back on a sat and said it didnt come in, prob bc it was a weekend. I ordered it once again and was reassured that it would be there in a few days. When I called, they said they had no record of me ever ordering it!!! At this point, I'm upset bc I've been more than patient and this was for my daughter!! Overall, I am extremely disappointed with how they run things. This is a pharmacy, where people's heath is at stake. There are NO EXCUSES for such INCOMPETENT COMMUNICATION AND MANAGEMENT!! Hi , this Cvs location has only one employee most of the time . Unfortunately is really close to my house .any time I visited over there get really annoying . Most time not able to find the item .the weekly sale wasn't in the merchandise today at vitamin section .nobody available to help you .and I had to make trip to go another location ,just found out all vitamin section on sale with ticket . Pros: The manager gave me a free Butterfinger yesterday because my receipt had a phone number so I could call for a survey. He was totally brown-nosing so I would give him a good review, but I have no problem with that form of customer service. It's close to my house (obviously that's not relevant to most of you). When Brenda worked here, it was run very well. Now she's departed and it's not the same at all. Poor service, lazy pharmacists. Went to drive-thru today, used to be less than a minute, more like 7-8 minute wait.....I've been going here for 15 years or so and it's long been on record that I prefer NOT to have child proof caps. Today's order of four rx's were all child proof. And to top it off, 2 meds were not even dispensed (for which a pharmacy gets a fee). Instead, a label was slapped onto the manufacturer child proof container. Worse, an order of 90 days was dispensed in 3 mfgr 30-day childproof bottles. Too lazy to even open and dispense properly into a single vial. Now I've got clutter I don't need. Will return tomorrow to see if they will consolidate and give me some non-child proof caps. In any case, I'm switching to Walgreen's. They can't do any worse than the lazy staff here. I know COVID has changed the landscape across the board, but this is just unacceptable. read more

I love this CVS! The Pharmacy techs are very helpful! I had prescriptions being transferred from a CVS in NY and the guy was GREAT about it! He even called my other pharmacy to get my refills in order! They called to when my order was ready! They took my rebate with no problem. The store is clean and things are easy to find. Everyone has been pretty cool and the pharmacy is well stocked. My ONLY issue is the vitamin section. Sub-par and many items NOT in stock. Booo! 3 Strikes: CVS fails Pro: drive thru Cons: no concept of customer service Strike 1: called in 2 scripts; I pick up 3 bags that comprise the 1st, not realizing that they gave a partial purchase. Get home, only to have to go back. Strike 2: no apology for the inconvenience, since I called to confirm that it was still there. Emailed the website and (Drum roll please), no word from the store manager. Strike 3: the doctors office faxed in a script in the early morning. When I arrive at 7pm, I'm told they have to order it. When I ask,why didn't they call me to tell me, they have response. So with so many Pharmacies, why don't they try to provide basic customer service? The last time I used any CVS as an actual pharmacy was a long time ago (although all U.S. pharmacies I have filled prescriptions at are inefficient from my experience). I just use them as drugstores, or even more accurately, I accompany my female friends to buy makeup. I usually just come here to buy snacks and drinks. It accomplishes the purpose of being able to buy snacks here. The snacks are located in the far end of the store when one walks in from the entrance. They're usually out of the generic over-the-counter medications at this location. In my case, every person that has requested me to buy medicines for them has requested (specifically) the CVS generic brand, but they're usually not in stock of most of what I need at this location in terms of medicine (especially in the topical department). I don't have this issue at Walgreens when they specifically request a Walgreens generic. There weren't a lot of people here during the weekday, but they also only had one cashier on duty. read more

Then they lie..e.g. they told me that they called the doctor to get updated prescription when they actually never called the doctor's office. The employees at this store are completely lacking common sense and devoid of any personality. They are more like the walking dead. Or maybe management has killed their spirit. Maybe I should've asked them to blink twice if they're in need of help or are being held against their will. Or maybe I'm in the wrong and should applaud them for their diversity in hiring individuals with a combined IQ of 50. For starters not one employee at the registers even cracked a faint smile. They're at the entrance to the store and represent the company but they appear so defeated and clueless. Customer service skills are no where to be found. I asked if that site did passport photos and one employee acted like he'd never been asked that question before. Obviously he had because he eventually asked another employee if the camera worked and he knew where it was. Furthermore, the employee handling passport photos has no concept of a decent photo and expected me to be content with my eyes half open, as if that would fly for the government agency requiring the photo. The picture I left with is awful but I couldn't stand being there another minute to try for a third photo. You'd think he'd show me the picture on the camera itself before printing to be sure it's ok. But nope. What a waste of $15. Furthermore I wonder if they ever delete the photos on that memory card being as I saw many other individuals photos, including children, displayed on the printer screen. Another employee rang up my other purchases later and she was terrible too. Including at one point taking an item I wanted and not bringing it back after a price check. She also nearly folded my greeting card and smashed the envelope when bagging my items. I will not frequent this cvs again. I will probably take my picture to another cvs and request a replacement since I'm not satisfied and I highly doubt it will be deemed acceptable. If management reads this please for everyones sake have your employees step up their game and please check their pulses while you're at it. read more

If you want to get a flu shot where the pharmacist doesn't swab your arm with alcohol first and administers the shot in the middle of your arm in tissue as opposed to in the upper arm in muscle, you should come here. Then you can have an arm all swollen the next day and red about the size of your palm. Fun. And, just basically jabs your arm with the needle. I didn't really want to come here. But my regular Pharmacist at another Pharmacy was out at lunch so I ran here. My gut told me not to. Bad on me for not trusting my gut. read more

I saw someone in line at the pharmacy. Oh, and there was me, comparing champagne in the refrigerated section. Note: Korbel is delish in mimosas. As a housewarming present, I offered to pick up some necessities, and one was indeed bubbly. Found some Aleve liquicaps, Tampax pearl, and 30 gallon flap tie trash bags. Even scored some items for myself that the bulls-eye wasn't stocking timely enough. Grabbed a pump of Noxzema for half off and 160 cotton rounds for the price of 80. Am I the only one who thinks it's pretty cool how receipts mark health care reimbursable items? Only one person ahead of me in line. It was a productive visit. read more

Location in Culver Plaza -- on the OPPOSITE side of the plaza from 99 Ranch, right behind the Chevron. I ended up driving around the entire plaza (sigh) but you don't have to make the same mistake! 4 stars because: *Clean, organized, big selection (pretty standard in Irvine but I appreciate it) *Drive-thru pharmacy (awesome for lazy people or when the weather is... okay let's be real, it's not about the weather in Irvine) *When the cashier had to go walk with the customer checking out to resolve some kind of issue/discrepancy, he called for another cashier.. even though I was the only person in line. That in it of itself was worth a star... but the second star is because the next cashier came RIGHT AWAY. I can't even count the number of times there's a ridiculously long line and the cashier will call for backup... and no. one. comes. Good job, whoever manages this CVS! read more

This location has quite a variety of items which I like since most cvs I go to don't have half of what I go in for. Some of the employees didn't bother to help me when I looked confused or lost, all except a young lady with tattoos, she was very sweet and professional and knew what she was doing.
