They called twice today (within 10 minutes of each other) with a different story each time. We have been trying unsuccessfully to get a script which the doctor says she sent 2 weeks ago. Walgreen's first said it wasn't received and has several times blamed her office. I trust her far more than Walgreens.

First bad experience they didn't have enough of a medication to fill my whole order and gave me 10 pills with the assurance that I would get a call when the rest was available. Over a week later I called them and they told me that the script had been filled but then thrown out as it wasn't picked up. I reminded them that they said they would call me and the pharmacist told me they don't call customers. That exact moment another person working there was on a headset and said into it " hello Mr _______. This is Walgreens calling you to let you know your prescription is ready" Like...right in front of me while the other guy is saying they don't call people. Then...another script, i called numerous times and they said there was something about the insurance and they would look into it and call me back. 2 days later I again called THEM and they lied to me saying someone called and left a message saying the insurance required mail order and they can't/won't help me further. No calls and no messages no voicemails came to my phone from them so that wasn't true. So...I called my insurance. They said they don't require mail order and told me they would look into local preferred pharmacies they use and guess who they came up with first!? This very walgreens. When i told them that walgreens told me you told them they can't fill this script the agent said there is no way that is true as thier clients use that pharmacy often and there was nothing about mine that would make anyone tell them it had to be mail ordered. So they lied about calling and lied about why they wouldn't fill the script. So they lied numerous times to me, refuse to be helpful and have lost my business and anyone else I can tell about it. These are important mental health drugs that i need and have now gone 2 weeks without because of them givung me the runaround and lying. They shouldn't be allowed to be in business.

Lindsay, one of the pharmacists, is so wonderful. This is a small town pharmacy, but has a great…read moreselection of medical supplies and otc medicine, as well as some other items. They also have a small play area, which is nice if you have kids with you and have to wait for your prescription. There have been times when they have not had a specific prescription and were able to order it and have it ready the next day. Lindsay is beyond helpful. She's great at answering questions for prescriptions as well as otc meds. I actually asked her about bandages...after a surgery, I needed to change dressings, but the bandages were seriously irritating my skin. After finding one specific type of bandage that worked for me, I asked Lindsay if they had any. They only had one or two rolls in stock, so she ordered me several and kept special ordering them as long as I needed her to. She's always friendly and helpful. The front staff is usually great too. I took one star off because I recently needed a prescription that they didn't have. They said I would need to call different pharmacies to try to find someone who had it. I honestly didn't even know where to begin...It was already a very stressful situation and I think it would have been nice of them to call to find someone who had it since they were out. Other than that, we are pretty pleased with our small town pharmacy.

I wanted to try a mum and pop shop, and it's the best decision I ever made. Alivio Pharmacy is attentive to their patients, I love how community friendly they are. Warm customer service, and when they say 15-20 min for a refill, they mean it! I've always been able to get my medication quickly and efficiently. Once my prescription was messed up (not their fault), and they kept a look out for my pills. It was so nice of them, especially when I just got surgery. Also, they're bilingual so I would recommend to any Spanish speaking natives.

Prior to my eye Dr. prescribing a medication through Willowbrook Pharmacy, I had not heard of the…read morebusiness. I have had many good experiences with Willowbrook. They filled the prescription quickly, delivered it to my door and did so in a timely fashion. When it was time to refill, my insurance allowed a different price. Of course, it was higher. Willowbrook called and discussed with me the best way to dispense the medication so that I could work the cost into my budget. My most recent interaction with Willowbrook was this week. I ran out of medication. I thought I had another month, I did not. Symantha spoke with me about the current cost of the medication. She explained that a number of medications have gone up in cost and she would help me find the best way to dispense the medication. I have mail-in service through my insurance and usually find it the most reasonable. Symantha understood and said she would work with my insurance company and see if they could match my insurance price. If not, she understood and went through all the types of medications available, generic or not. She also explained how the generic was usually prescribed. After talking with her, I decided that I did not want the generic and went on to call the physician for a new prescription. I got a text this morning to call Willowbrook. Sumantha had text and asked for a call back, she was still working on the prescription, wondering if I needed any help with obtaining the prescription and quoted me the current price. It was higher than my mail-in price and she was willing to work with me, but the difference was sizeable. I have trained customer service representatives in the past. Believe me, Symantha is the most caring, informative and responsive representative I have dealt with recently. She went out of her way to explain various things, called back on her own with willingness to help. She has a pleasant voice and a caring personality. Even though I could not use Willowbrook this time, she understood and explained if I had any questions about any future prescriptions to feel free to call. They could be of help.

This pharmacy has issues with certain types of discount programs…read more My company auto-enrolled me into CVS Caremark. Willowbrook could not process prescriptions after this was added to my plan. Aetna and CVS turned this off without an issue... all seemed odd to me ... especially this pharmacies response that it was an issue with insurance and not their ability to work with this program. Willowbrook still couldn't resolve issue after I turned this option off and asked I pay for refill over phone instead of through app because my son was "too close to line" on Ipledge, "so she doesn't get pregnant." Said the woman on the phone. I'm not a doctor but I am pretty sure what they meant was they couldn't figure something out and this was better than "Sorry we don't know how to do that."... in their opinion. Up until this point I was okay with frequent calls about filling because they were nice and I could always use secure payment through app. Hopefully they will continue to improve and compete with other pharmacies. I would strongly suggest just being honest with customers. It goes a long way. Don't put failures of company on the customer.

Today, Max's son, Dr. John Cowan operates the pharmacy. The drug store maintains its historic and independent charm. The pharmacy counter stands as it did 50 years ago, serving customers. The first six prescriptions filled in 1885 hang framed on the wall surrounded by vintage pharmaceutical bottles. The pharmacy provides vaccines as well as fills prescriptions. The store also sells a great selection of Hallmark cards and gifts, local postcards, candy and nuts. While the photo shop within the drugstore closed years ago, a collection of vintage cameras is displayed on shelves. The Cubbard is a popular breakfast and lunch spot in the rear of the store. The food is down home delicious. You see the same friendly faces every visit. Cowan's is an amazing locally owned business and worth a visit. There is free street parking.

He gave me an overview of the history of this store. They don't make them like they used too. As a pharmacist myself, he even let me tour the back (and I am HIPAA trained). If this pharmacy was closer to where I live, I would send prescriptions here. Keep up the great work! This place is a living museum with soul.
