I first met with Dr. Charbel explaining what I was feeling, and after examining my arm he wrote up a treatment plan for me with specific goals and a timeline. He explained what the treatment would look like and how many appointments I may need. Over the next several visits of acupuncture and tissue massage, I learned that Dr. Charbel is not only a top notch doctor, but also he is a caring, compassionate human being. He is someone I have come to trust knowing that he truly has my best interests in mind. Best of all, his treatment plan worked. My pain is gone! Though our time together is coming to an end, I will not stop singing my praises of Dr. Charbel. He is the good doctor of chiropractic people deserve!

I have called more…read moretimes than I can count where she rudely interrupts or tells you to call back another time because "their scheduling system is down", which has happened more times than I can count at this point and I only go to this practice twice per year if that tells you anything. In 2024, I called to schedule an appointment, and Brenda told me that NP Gore is pregnant so if I'm sick, I shouldn't come in because she wouldn't want me to get NP Gore ill. After two weeks of unknown causes, I ended up with blisters all over my body including my mouth, which led to me going to the ER. I was encouraged by my family doctor, ER doctor, and allergist to see a dermatologist urgently to help with my situation. I called Hancock Dermatology to see if I could see a doctor at the practice rather than NP Gore sooner rather than later due to the seriousness of my unknown illness with blisters all over my body. I also explained that I was done with the prescribed medication after being seen in the ER, but the blisters are continuing to get worse, and I really need to be seen urgently rather than waiting until my next appointment with the NP. Brenda stated that the next available appointment with Dr. Sanford would be at the end of May. I started crying, because I am in excruciating pain and have no idea what is going on with my skin. I explained to Brenda that I just left my allergist's office and noted that my allergist said he would be sending a letter to Hancock Dermatology to let them know that he also believes I need to be seen urgently for this matter by a dermatologist as he does not believe this is an allergy and is concerned. Brenda, in a condescending tone then stated; "you should have just asked your allergist to give you the letter rather than him sending it himself." I contacted Dawes Fretzin immediately after getting off the phone with Brenda at Hancock Dermatology. Dawes Fretzin's triage nurse indicated that I should be seen sooner rather than later and got me an urgent appointment with one of their dermatologists the next day. I'm done with Hancock Dermatology as Brenda is horrid to work with. No one should have this much trouble with a woman who simply does scheduling.

The prescription was not the same as my sample lenses. Because the lenses were purchased at Costco and one used before, I realized what was wrong, I was stuck with $200 of contacts I could not wear. They asked me if I would like a re-exam and I refused, what good is it going to a Dr. who already screwed up. Temple was kind and understanding but limited on what she could do. I received a questionnaire from the corporate office and filled it out with the facts (as above) It stated they would like to talk further and asked if it was ok to call. Of course. That call got action. Temple, who had already been so caring called and explained who the new Dr. was. What he would do before selling contacts and they offered a free eye exam. I agreed, with some hesitation and embarrassment. It was not necessary as they were welcoming, and the new eye Dr. spent about 45 minutes making sure the new contacts would fit. He even recognized I did not want daily wear contacts and gave me a test pair that were really comfortable. As fate would have it my husband hit my hand when I was placing a contact in my eye, and we have never found it. Upon calling, Temple, I was given a new pair and explained I didn't feel I was reading menus as well as I could. They included another contact to try, after talking with the Doctor. Contacts are now comfortable, and I am able to read a menu. I am going back again. Great difference with a doctor who knows what he is doing from one who does not.

I get several weekly visits from nurses. And aides which include supplies and getting medicines. I am given baths,washings. The staff works with us to fit our schedule too. My wife who was having to deal with so much by figuring it out on her own is greatly relieved to have this staff offering direction, providing materials and services...she would probably give them an even higher rating. I like that they come to my home and l feel comfortable asking their opinions. It is nice not having to worry about getting bed sores or other items that can become serious if not monitored. It's nice that they send you a link to checkout and give you the option to pay in advance even as a guest. You don't necessarily have to create an account like you do at Kroger pharmacy. The Kroger app is quite frustrating at times. Unfortunately my most recent trip there was not a 10/10. I was told the medication would be ready the day I called but when I showed up a few hours later they informed me they were out of stock. Two days later this is still the case. They DO have a delivery service so in the future if it's not urgent, I may opt for that instead. The staff is friendly and it's always nice to support smaller businesses. Bonus that there are probably less coughing and sneezing people at Apotheco than CVS or Walgreens.

CHL sends my script for labwork, along with my insurance card, to MACL, so that the results may be sent to my dr. Each time, I have to call MACL and request that they send the labs to my dr. Then, they refuse to send them without a phone call from my dr. How ridiculous that they cannot send these results without several phone calls and a lot of stress and aggravation. In the future, I will have labs drawn elsewhere, even though CHL is by far the most convenient place to go. Very frustrating!
