The pharmacy manager (Mike), if that's his real name, was extremely rude, and combative when I made a couple of comments out of my frustration with CVS. I asked him his name because I wanted to make sure I had it when I report him to the State Board of Pharmacy and to CVS corporate. As a response he took the insulin away from me that was for my son, who had run out of supply today. He said he wasn't CVS and didn't have to give me the insulin and forced me to apologize. I will never patronize the CityWayCVS again and if I can help it, any CVS which is hard due to their monopoly on the market. Completely uncalled for and unprofessional. read more

Sorely understaffed and those working are certainly not the most friendly. I only stopped by here since I was in the area and had a bit of time to kill. Figured I'll pick up a few things. Here's the thing, the hours for this CVS do NOT make sense for being a downtown location in a big city! I get it is likely due to staffing shortages, but maybe opening a couple hours later in the morning in order to stay open until 9 would be possible? Except for Needler's and maybe an aisle at the downtown Kroger, there is no other drugstore downtown Indy so this is really a gap in the market. There is also a drive-thru for the pharmacy - I believe the only one that exists downtown. Besides the hours, I've always been able to find exactly what I'm looking for here, and really appreciate the self check out. I've gotten a couple vaccines here as well after making an appointment online and the appointment went smoothly and the pharmacists were nice. I did have some questions about Claritin D once (I had never used it before) and one pharmacist was abrasive and condescending, but a kinder one soon stepped in to take over - she seemed to be used to doing that sort of thing. read more

I really wish there was a way to offer negative stars. This pharmacy used to operant efficiently. They are wholly dysfunctional now. They are incredibly inefficient and rude. The pharmacist on duty at my last visit was arrogant, unhelpful and impolite. I would not recommend anyone to fill prescriptions at the pharmacy. read more

I visited this CVS location last week for a booster shot and flu vaccine after having two other appointments fall through elsewhere. This downtown location (across the street from The Alexander Hotel, YMCA and Lilly offices), features easy parking and a drive-thru pharmacy. Along with a pharmacy, this CVS features snacks, a large cosmetics section, and some household essentials. You could definitely tell that the pharmacy section was drowning in work yet understaffed. I was able to get my vaccine about 15 minutes after my slotted time and the gentleman who gave the shot was wearing his mask on his chin up until giving the vaccine which was a little bothersome when a "masks required" sign was hanging directly in the pharmacy section. I felt for the woman fulfilling pharmacy orders - the calls and order numbers were rolling in non-stop. It felt like she was hustling but her counterpart...not so much. Overall, this is a very clean CVS and fairly convenient for downtown dwellers. read more

From deciding to close early due to "staffing" or just your "hours". Honestly this CVS could close and no one would even notice. Except maybe the employees, but even then I doubt it, because they never show up anyways.... Hire some people who want hours, or just close down so a Walgreens can open up... read more

This is one of the newest CVS pharmacies in the city. Located on the corner of South and Delaware, you can park on the north side of the building (off Delaware) or pull into the drive thru (off South). Note that current construction on South Street limits you to pulling in from westbound only. The entrance is on the northeast side of the building. Inside, the space is clean and filled with rows of pharmacy items as well as some convenience store items where you can pick up seasonal items (yes, both Christmas and Halloween items are on display). There are grocery items as well including breakfast cereal that I hadn't seen elsewhere. I didn't use the pharmacy, so I can't really comment on that. I assume they are comparable to other CVS locations. One thing of fun to be aware of if you visit is that there are a couple cool murals on the outside of the building (see separate reviews for details). The hours are a little shorter than I would like, so check before you go. Since I go at least monthly, being a member of the Carepass program is financially advantageous. For non-Carepass members too, CVS has some of the best coupon programming coupled with an easy-to-use app. They usually have a cart by the register with discounted items if you're looking for a deal. The alcohol selection has a little bit of everything, including the local Upland seltzer. The pharmacy staff have always been cordial in-person and over the phone. Additionally, the cashier staff are good about greeting you upon walk in and checking you out efficiently. This CVS has free parking for customers surrounding the building. If you prefer to walk or bike, the Cultural Trail can provide you quick access to CVS. Suburban CVS might have a larger footprint and selection, but this location packs in great stuff, too! read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy -- the store itself is great. I considered giving the pharmacy two stars instead of one because they've never done anything as catastrophic as dispensing the wrong medication, but it's a terrible experience almost every time because of the toxic attitude of most of the staff there. My wife and I are relatively young people who don't get a lot of prescriptions filled and don't ask a lot of questions. I also used to be a pharmacy tech, so I understand how stressful it can be at times. But at the end of the day, working in a retail pharmacy means you're in a service job, and this staff doesn't seem to realize it. Inconvenience them in any way by doing something like even asking a question and they stop just short of rolling their eyes in your face. There are a couple of people there whom I've had cordial interactions with, so I don't know if they're constantly rotating staff and creating bitterness or just don't emphasize in training how people have other freaking choices for pharmacies. My wife and I have both experienced palpable attitude to flat-out rudeness from many of their staff for what should have been totally routine pharmacy interactions. I've literally had people huff audibly on the phone at me and say things in a manner that would make you think I was THEIR server at a restaurant who just told them their meal would be an hour late coming out. I'm a pretty reasonable person, and it takes a lot to get under my skin. But when people are outwardly disrespectful -- especially in a service job! -- that pisses me off. At least have the decency to turn my back to show your disdain. I don't even normally write that many reviews! This pharmacy is just outstandingly bad, and I thought people should know. Probably fine if you get one prescription on a three-month refill cycle with no insurance complications. Otherwise, take your business elsewhere. read more

This is a very interesting, newer CVS with hand dryers that actually work decently. They're Excel Dryer ThinAir units. Compared to my local CVS, which has a Bradley Aerix dryer, these ThinAir units are awesome! I must admit, the plumbing fixtures could be better. Overall, this is a decent CVS. read more

This is a nice clean, a little more out-of-the-way Cvs. Staff is friendly. Aisles are extra long, different layout than the typical cvs on the corner. A more urban set up. Pretty murals outside. A few parking spots immediately north of the building, accessed by heading south on Delaware. read more

This is the cvs i go to due to sheer proximity to where i live. However, the pharmacist (red hair) and the pharmacy tech (older lady, blonde hair) are two of the rudest pharmacy employees i've ever met. I have gotten better service from the cvs on 16th and meridian - and that's saying something. Look, i get it it's a tiring and likely thankless job, but i always try to be as prompt and kind as i can because i'm aware of this reality. it doesn't matter. they are still constantly in the foulest most disrespectful moods of any one ever, i actually hate having to interact with them at all. if there was a closer more convenient CVS, i would choose a different one bc of them alone. All of the other staff and employees are nice, and the store is kept really clean. just wanted to give a warning to anyone who might encounter this pharmacy. :) read more

The workers here are so rude it's unreal, even the people in the pharmacy are rude. Don't go in there if your having a good idea cause one of them will ruin it. They also need to be educated on what a service dog is and it is the most annoying thing when my bring my dog in and they say the same shit every time... like really... I even overheard everyone that worked there verbal harass a woman that asked a simple question, truly they should all be fired. read more

Unfortunately this is the pharmacy closest to my house. I have only been going there for 2 years and I have called their customer service department to complain at least 4 times and nothing changes. Before was the rude red hair pharmacist now is the Asian guy who is just as stupid as the red hair one and I am trying to be nice at this point. The prescriptions are never ready and make the most simple stupid mistakes. Oh and they give you and actitud although it is their mistake Avoid this place if you can and please call and complain about them so the corporate can do something about it. Either give them more breaks or fire them. Whatever is better than dealing with their actitudes! read more

Best CVS in town. Friendly staff and never out of anything you need. Also, check out the great alcohol sales.

Excellent group and of pharmacist and pharmacy techs at this location. I love that they have a drive-in window and door a locates downtown with plenty of Parking. Very clean store inside and very nicely laid out. They have done a great job with plexiglass barriers to make it safe during Covid. Cvs has free delivery as well. read more

No one here has a clue! I ordered magnet pictures not a picture inside a .25 cents sleeve! I talked to the day cashier twice and she talked to her manager that claimed everything was taken care of. I walk blocks in the cold weather after work and it's completely wrong! The evening cashier "can't do anything". Don't waste your time! There are 2 other CVS stores in downtown Indy. This place is literally never open. One pharmacy tech told me my prescription would be ready the next day and then the next day a different woman tells me I need a new prescription wrote from a different doctor for some reason that made no sense.
