I have been to this location quite a few times over the past 5 years. I always had great customer service. I placed an order today at the photo department and I had a young lady help me look at the order. I have noticed that the minute she clocked in to work she was miserable. She made zero eye contact with me. I asked her how did my order look like and I was ignored. When I handed her my receipt, she grabbed it and threw it on the floor inside a bag, it had my full name, phone number, email and personal info. I kindly asked her to hand me my receipt back because it contained PII, she was pissed, she grabbed it from the floor and placed it on the counter. Not a single word, no eye contact, no life. I have been to so many places, met many people never met someone that miserable. CVS need to do better. Hire people who care. That lady did not want to come to work. The time she was there was April 30th between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Management need to review cameras every day and see how their staff behaves. I would also ensure that any receipts or paperwork contains PII information of clients should be disposed off the right way. read more

Well, today restored my belief in hiring great employees who care to help the customer. I am not a big fan of CVS overall as their RETAIL prices are not the best. However, today a young pharmacy associate reduced my payment on my asthma prescription from $291.00 on Aetna medicare to 62.00 using a pharmacy discount card. A great way to start the year with considerate, caring and compassionate customer service. I will still have to meet my deductible out of pocket but other medications I am on will more than take care of that. HER INITIATIVE WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED AND HELPFUL TO MY FINANCES. read more

On Friday, April 26, 2024 around 5:20pm, I went to CVS on 2469 Bar Area Blvd, Houston, TX 77058, store #7286. I went there for one reason, to buy the Shamrock Light Globe. I bought two of them the previous week and wanted to buy the remaining Shamrock Light Globes for my classroom. I went to the shelf where they were previously, and all three Shamrock Light Globes were still there with the tag that stated they were on sale for $4.50. I initially took them to the self-checkout, and they rang up for S17.98. I knew that was wrong, so I cancelled the order and looked for a salesperson. The salesperson (Santos) took it to the register, and it rang up as $17.99. I explained that they were on sale for $4.50. He said he needed to call for a manager. That's when Melissa came to the register, and I explained that the items were on sale for $4.50. She went back to the shelf where they were and pulled the sale price on the shelf and came back to the register with the tag. I told her, "Yes, that's it. It says $4.50." She suddenly said that she couldn't sell it for the sale price. She said that they weren't on sale anymore, but she could sell it for the original price of $17.99. She continued to say they weren't suppose to be on the shelf for that price. She also claimed she couldn't override it. Apparently, no one in the store could override it that was there at that time. What good is a shift lead if they don't have the authority to make a decision like that? I guess what I don't understand is Why is it my fault that someone didn't do their job correctly and remove the sale price? Why was Melissa giving me a difficult time over Shamrock Light Globes? She wasn't that pleasant and couldn't relate to what I was saying. These Shamrock Light Globes were literally on a Clearances Shelf and a tag that said $4.50. They were sitting on the clearance rack with other items. If something is on clearance, it is uncommon for it to be sold at the original price. I looked up the word clearance and it clearly states, "a sale in which the goods in a store are sold at reduced prices, because the store wants to get rid of them quickly or is closing." Considering those Shamrock Light Globes were on the clearance rack with a tag that indicated so, it's also a seasonal product and I bought a couple the week before for the sale price, why was the shift lead, Melissa not giving them to me for the price they were labeled? I would like a response to this letter as I will also be submitting this as a google review and posting this on other websites so the maximum number of people can see this. This place is well organized and staffs are very friendly. They took care of my prescription in timely manner.

The pharmacy that my mom uses was no longer able to honor the coupon cards (GoodRX) for her 2 current pain medications (she is 91), so I had to look elsewhere. Without insurance, the price was way to high without it, so I did some research on all of the discount cards, and they all listed CVS as having the best price. I'm never 100% confident that I am receiving the most up-to-date information, so I actually went to the pharmacy to speak with a pharmacist myself. I was told that they could not give me the actual price until the prescription had been received by them (which I think was just them being too lazy to look it up since I had the drug name, dosage, number to be filled, etc.) but the woman that I spoke with did indicate that the price that I showed her would most likely be correct -- or at least close. This was on a Sunday. I took my mom to the doctor the next day, Monday, and had her 2 prescriptions moved to this pharmacy -- and yes, I received a confirmation from the doctor's office that the prescriptions were sent that very day.What a HUGE mistake that was! Both were for pain and so this isn't medicine that can be delayed to be filled. Not having heard anything by Wednesday, I went in person to check on it. First, they had not even looked at it. Then they told me that with the patches, they showed they had enough in stock, but they couldn't locate all of them on the shelf, so they would only be able to fill 2/3 of it unless more were ordered and we waited. Then, the second one was for 180 pills and they only had FOUR! I asked if they were on order, and was told no, but they could order them that day. This should have been done the day the prescription arrived... not two days later. I wonder how long it would have taken if I hadn't come in person to check? Then, after all of that, when one of the workers tried to apply the GoodRX coupon, the pharmacist stopped her and informed me that CVS was no longer able to honor the coupon for drugs of this type. I stated that I checked in-person on Sunday about the usage of the coupon and its actual price advantage, and he simply said that apparently that crew didn't know the policy and the information that I was given was incorrect. Now, even though I went out of my way to make certain that I had all of the facts before I initiated the switch, I have to get back to my mom's doctor and have the prescription sent to an entirely different pharmacy and completely start over. What a bunch of incompetents that they have working there. As a result of the ignorance of the Sunday workers, my mom will be without her pain medication for at least an additional 2 - 3 days. Even if I had stayed with them, they were too unconcerned about simply doing their job that they hadn't even looked at the prescription and put it on order. It had been there for 2 days, and they knew they didn't have enough of either drug in stock, so why wasn't it placed on order right away? Their entire attitude was basically, "oh well..." All I can say is that I would NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone who is wanting quality care and knowledgeable service. If this was my only choice, I would actually consider doing without whatever drugs I needed before I ever used them again. If there was less than a 1 star rating, I would have definitely given it. Take a look at their other ratings and you should definitely get the picture as to what is going on there. Highly NOT recommended! read more

Minute clinic isn't actually "walk in" all appointment based. Very misleading. Insurance specifically recommended us to the minute clinic vs going to urgent care and we were turned away. "Karen" wasn't very accommodating either, spoke to me as if I didn't understand. It shouldn't be advertised as walk in available when it is not. read more

i bought a heating pad at this store that never worked. I bought it as a christmas gift so we didn't know it was non-functional till a couple of weeks later. I was told over the phone that I could swap it for another (since I didn't save the reciept) and that was fine with me. My wife just need a heating pad. When I arrived to exchange it, the manager wouldn't let me because they didn't have the exact same model. I offered to paid any difference and asked of they had the same in another store where I could exchange it. I was treated like some sort of elderly shoplifter. A reliable CVS in a convenient location. This store moved from the strip center to a stand alone store in the parking lot a few years ago (address is still off by a few digits I think). The best thing about it is that if you're anywhere near the numerous restaurants or businesses in the area, it's easy to pop in for all your CVS needs. You can get into the shopping center either via Bay Area or Space Center, making it easy to head out the way you need and maybe avoid the busy stoplight at the intersection of those two major thoroughfares. There is a lot of square footage in the store, much more than the strip center version of the store. Easy to see signs near the ceiling find what you need with labeled sections as you would expect. Never had an issue with service, plenty of people ready to check me out (like pay for stuff, not "check me out"). Last time they asked if I found everything I needed which is a nice touch. I have not gotten any prescriptions here so no review of how the pharmacy performs. read more

Came here at 8pm on a Monday to fill a prescription and unfortunately this pharmacy is just very, very slow and seems disorganized. Took 15 minutes to drop off a prescription (there was no one in front or behind me in line). There were 3 pharmacists and 2 were on the phone while I was waiting to drop of a prescription. They have a drive thru as well. Expect to wait a very long time. Better to drop off the prescription and come back the next day to pick up; make sure you have ID. read more

I usually don't rank places I only go to for a few minutes once every few months but I had an exceptionally good service a few days ago that I just had to write about. Then as I thought about it, the staff here have always been great at the pharmacy, no prescriptions ever missed, the floor is always clean, well lit, shelves stocked, as far as pharmacies go it's actually better than most I've been to. Just wish it was 24 hours! Anyways the recent experience I had was to get antibiotics for my baby, and not only was I greeted as I walked in the door (which they do literally 100% of the time), they asked what I'm here for and showed some compassion rather than just pointing to the back for the pharmacist. I thought this element of humanity is often lacking in "retail" interactions and really made me appreciate the staff at this location! read more

Filling prescriptions here isn't a great idea, but my family has been doing it since way back when, so of course we are keeping tradition ^^' The pharm techs and pharmacists look like they want to be helpful, but I see them show (unnecessary) attitude to customers pretty often. This time, I've been waiting for my prescription for a decongestant for more than an hour now... Absolutely do not go to the minute clinic here. And if you get Nurse Tiwari, run. My fiancé has been sick all week and told the nurse as well as informed her she took a Covid test and it was negative. The nurse did not listen to anything she said regarding symptoms or discomfort and just disregarded it as allergies and ordered another Covid test. Which came back negative of course. They charge for everything and gave a prescription for a nasal spray of all things when sometimes she coughs so hard she can't breath or even feels like she has to vomit. Pharmacy is not trained or well versed in what they are supposed to be doing. I work at a retail chain in pharmacy so I know what is expected. Not only did they violate my HIPPA rights (when notified they said oh, okay and basically shrugged their shoulders, almost dispensed the wrong C2 drug (adderall XR vs IR. only noticed the mistake when I told them it should be IR and not XR), managed to delete my C2 script, can't seem to grasp the simple concept of a co-ordination of benefits (billing a mfr coupon), they also enjoy putting my life at risk. I should preface this by saying I am immuno compromised. In the height of the pandemic, the staff (even though they were doing COVID vaccines + testing throughout the day) would put their mask on whenever at the register but would take it off at the fill + verification station. When verifying, maskless, the RPh made sure to really look into my bottle of medication and breathe all over them from a very small distance. Completely sickening and unacceptable. Do NOT fill here!! read more

This place has really bad customer service at the pharmacy. They are slow when you want to pick up a prescription. They tell you: " I will be with you shortly" and five minutes later you are still waiting. When you say something they give you a long list of excuses. When you promised time to pick up your prescription it is not ready. Try to avoid this location. read more

I've never been treated so poorly in my life by the lack of customer service and DELIBERATE refusal to help me! I just visited the CVS located at 2469 Bay Area Blvd. in Clear Lake (next to Space Center) in order to obtain a passport photo. The woman who identified herself as manager, approached me after being paged by the cashier and said she would have to contact headquarters in order to verify whether or not she could take my picture. I asked why and she said, "well it's for the employee's safety." I said: "well you don't have to touch me or anything just take the picture." She took one picture reaching as far away from me as possible and then said that she "didn't feel comfortable taking my photo," and REFUSED to take the photo! I said, "what am I supposed to do?" She said: "well you'll just need to go up the street." I said: "What street?" She pointed in the direction towards I45 and said there's another CVS further up (near El Camino Real). I asked her to call them to make sure they would take the photo and she REFUSED to do that too. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she WAS the manager! The good news is I did get the photo and EXCELLENT customer service at the CVS located at 959 Bay Area Blvd. Make sure you go there and NOT THE ONE 2469 FOR YOUR NEEDS! read more

I don't usually do this but I was very disappointed in the service I received at this location not just once but twice by the same cashier, Jessica. Our first time at this location she informed us that our number wasn't connected to a cvs card, and refused to give us our discount. We ended up going to another location and our number was of course working. The second experience I had here, I was trying to buy my sister flu medication and she informed me that according to their policy she wasn't allowed to sell it even though I had a valid ID. I have visited many CVS and this one by far is the most friendliest. When I walk in I am always greeted by somebody. If I have a question about a product or its location, they stop doing what they are doing to walk me to the product. The store has always been clean when I have been in. I've recently been here twice to fill prescriptions and so far both times have been a terrible experience. First time I went inside and stood at the pick-up counter for around 3-4 minutes while a technician looked at me several times carrying on a jokingly conversation with another co-worker, I wasn't acknowledged until the pharmacist said something to her and nodded towards me. The technician asked for my name and walked away assuming she was going to grab my prescription I stood waiting for a few minutes finally asking "am I waiting for it to be filled and can I have a seat?" with their reply being oh yeah it's not filled yet... Frustrating since I wasn't informed on what she was doing and i was left standing at the pick-up counter. I finally received my prescription and ran out of there. Today was my second time picking up a prescription this time through the drive-thru a lady asked my name and walked away then another technician asked my name repetitively I made sure I was speaking loud and clear. Finally she was able to bring up my information I was ready with my credit card and cvs card ready and had to wait for quite some time finished the transaction when she opened the door with my prescription my ID, Credit Card and receipt fell out of the window because it was oddly placed and I had to open my car door and get out to retrieve them. It's quite disappointing since this CVS is very convenient on my work to home commute... But not worth it I might just have to change to a walgreens fan! read more

HATED IT!!! Vanessa (NP or whatever) treated me with such disrespect!!! Walked in at 4:50, they close at 5:30, and the kiosk did NOT say they were closed, rather it would not take my sign in. There were two other people waiting and a lady (mother) said the kiosk wasn't working. So I shrugged my shoulder's and sat down to listen to mother and daughter fight and curse at each other. . Mother and daughter complained and knocked on the door and a employee came out and said the NP was with a patient and would be with us all afterward. Mother and daughter walked out. Well, 5:40 rolls around and Vanessa (NP) is emptying trash. Hmmmm I guess she's leaving??? I ask if she's taking patients and GUESS WHAT!!!? They're closed and if I would've signed into the kiosk, she would know I was waiting!!!! Really???? It's 5:40 and you won't see me????? And your kiosk isn't even working????!!!! So, she explains how to use the kiosk as if I'm a dumbass. With a grin I could've wiped off her face!!! I left the store then came back to ask her name and info to write a complaint. She grinned oh so nicely and said "you can have them check who is on the schedule today to get my name." Ohhhhh noooo you didn't. Wait!? You can't give me your name? She did. Vanessa. Anyway, I walked out, said a word I never use and it seemed as though the folks who worked there enjoyed my pain, of course, not knowing what pain I was actually in because THE NP NEVER SAW ME!!!! I am so pleased with this pharmacy! I was trying to get prescriptions filled for my two senior dogs and the Walmart Pharmacy people were not helpful at all. They kept saying they had not received any fax from my vet's office and the vet techs assured me they had faxed the RX several times and received confirmation of receipt. In frustration, I had the vet techs fax the prescriptions to this CVS pharmacy because it was close to where I work. I went straight over (it was the end of the day), assuming I would have to wait a while. They were already working on them and I didn't even wait 5 minutes. However, I nearly died when the total cost for the 4 prescriptions was over $200! The young lady told me there was a coupon that would help but the "ap" was not working. She said she would keep trying and would call me if she got it to work. I thanked her and left, not really expecting to hear from her. Not only did she call a few hours later with news that she finally got the "ap" to work and had the coupon for me, but also my cost dropped to $55!!! All I had to do was bring in the receipt and my credit card so they could void the original sale and ring it up again. I went at lunch time today--it was a whole different crew--and they, too, were very nice and accommodating. Because so many people do just what is required, it is a special treat to have a positive experience caused by someone going above and beyond. By the way, the young lady's name is LeLe.
