I came here to pick up my online order. It was hard to drive this CVS at Galleria from west side. I got here before closing time. There was no traffic. The process was simple. It didn't take long to get my package. I just didn't like the information was handwritten on the bag, unlike other store printed out. This store got my last name on the bag and searched by my last name. Other stores use my first name and last name initial. Okay. The store is quite big because it has a clinic at the pharmacy. I was not feeling well today, and did not feel like going through the hassle of scheduling an appointment with my doctor's office, and driving there in traffic, paying for parking, & ect. So I got on Google and looked up same day visit places. To my surprise CVS came up. This is such a great and innovative concept, that I'm glad was available. To have a Mini clinic in our local neighborhood pharmacies. I love this! So I walk in, and check myself in at the computerized kiosk at the entry of the clinic which is located inside of the CVS next to the pharmacy. My nurse practitioner was Jennifer. She was so compassionate and actually seemed concerned about my wellbeing. She was very knowledgeable. These clinics may take a lot of business from the doctor's office, because I know the next time I'm sick I am heading straight to this minute clinic. This CVS is always on point. I don't use pharmacy. I only come here for last min thing since my home is close by. Always greeted by the employees on arrival and exiting. They do have a COVID testing station that is set up outside for those who may need it. They even have private parking spaces for those individuals. They have all the needs you would want from the normal Walgreens. I just prefer this location more. Be sure to check it out. read more

This review is mainly about the Minute Clinic at this location (but also kudos to the overall cleanliness of this location). For employment purposes I needs to update a vaccine and I figured this would be the easiest way as opposed to trying to get in with my PCP. Scheduling my appt online was super easy and straightforward; I did it the day before and immediately received an email with check-in instructions. The morning of my appt I received a phone call to confirm the vaccine I needed and following the call, I received a text that allowed me to check my place "in line" and wait times. I arrived a few min before my appt, checked in on the kiosk and was called in a room a few minutes later. Received my vaccine, NP was nice and welcoming. All done-- that easy! Would definitely return for anything medical that Minute Clinic can handle. read more

First off Fransisco is a total jerk, the guy tried to tell me my prescription was $44.00 Then I told him I had a good rx code, and he said it was already applied, which was a lie, because it was $22.46 with the code, then he asked for the code with a terrible attitude. I gave him the code and he gave me the new price, and threw the meds in the tray and walked away without saying anything. I waited to see if I was able to leave and saw he walked away to go text whoever was more important then the costumer service he was supposed to provide! This place is basically a joke! I went in to grab some Halloween candy and they had maybe 15 bags of a few select kinds. Ridiculous! I'm sure had I gone next-door to Walgreens they would've had a ton. The only thing this store has over the Walgreens next-door is that it seems safer. I tried to go to the Walgreens first but as usual there was an aggressive pan handler out front accosting people as they came in and out so I chose not to shop there. The Employees seemed understaffed and kicked me out as I was going to make purchases. I understand employees need to get home to their outside responsibilities such as loved ones. That is a wonderful and beautiful thing and the right thing to do. That is the best blessing any person can hope to have is the blessing of going home to a family or pet, albeit on time! However, I personally know many people with disabilities such as autism that would be quite grateful and could use the experience of employment. As a disabled individual myself (I am on the spectrum of neurodiversity, meaning my brain is like a rainbow and I am able to view life in many different angles) the variety of entry level jobs I have held have greatly helped me as I navigated through my life. I am proud to boast that I have worked part time at different jobs for close to 30 years and also have a college degree and several useful certifications. Please while uplifting the wonderful people in the current workforce who have many important responsibilities outside of their work place, please do not forget to include individuals who have struggled in life through no fault of their own and deserve a chance to win as well. Maybe an employee like me would be a bit more loyal. The world may be surprised how uplifting people who have been shut down their entire lives can be. I guess it really seems up to the business world. Does the management prefer employees who help tear down or employees who help build? That is a choice to be made by the company. read more

The other day I visited the store and the guy that checked me out struck up a brief convo with me and of course, I unloaded. I'm not employed and counting pennies! He was so sweet to me and said "good luck, something great will happen for you" I had to visit the store again just a few minutes ago, and there he was at the register. Put my items on the counter and waited. He said "how's the job hunting going?" I almost burst into tears because he remembered me. This is the second time I have a horrible experience with the pharmacy! Made a 4 pm appointment for my 8 year old's Covid vaccine and checked him in a few minutes before. There was literally no one else in line and it took them 50 minutes to come and administer the vaccine! This review is just for the Minute Clinic. Let me tell you if you were expecting to be in and out, you are highly mistaken sir. I went in just to get a TB test for work which is a multi-trip commitment. The first time I went in I waited about an hour to be seen. The PA was nice, but I explained to her that I only need to be given the shot, and that I will have someone at my job read it for me (I work at a pediatric rehab clinic). I asked if I could just get the paper to have someone else sign off on it. She said sure. I didn't want to have it done unless this was part of our agreement. Well I received the shot and a packet explaining that I had received it. I walked out and noticed there is no where for anyone to sign off on. I walked back in and questioned the PA about it, and she told me I didn't need it, and there is no other form for her to give. That's definitely not the case. I do need the other form and I know they distribute them when you have it read by someone at the Minute Clinic. I not only had to come back another day, and wait 1.5 hours just to have it read, but I ended up doubling my expense. They charge you one time to receive the TB test, and one time to have it read, and to add to it I wasn't told there would be an extra expense for the reading. After she read it (by the way for the reading I had a different PA), she gave me the paper that I had asked for on my first visit and was told does not exist! read more

I made an appointment online for the clinic at this location. I showed up early as suggested. After waiting twenty minutes the doctor tells me she's going out to lunch for an hour, come back. I'm really sick so I try again the next day. Same exact thing, I show up to my appointment time to be greeted with an out to lunch sign. Don't get me wrong I understand people need to eat and take a break. BUT WHY ACCEPT MY APPOINTMENT IF YOU WONT HONOR IT!? I decided to just wait until her lunch break was over. Oh CVS, it has been awhile. Even though you are walking distance from where I work, I changed my location to a much further location a few years back. But the other day I was desperate, and I forgot why we were fighting. So with hope I walked back through your automatic doors...and renewed my love for the OTHER location. I was there for one simple thing; to pick up a prescription that I had submitted earlier that day. I get to the pickup location at the pharmacy...and waited. The employees saw me, but still did nothing. I started doing the impatient noises, hoping to get their attention, but still nothing. I can understand that you are busy, but at least acknowledge my existence. Finally as I was debating opening up the dollar candy at the counter, someone comes over and gruffly asked for my last name. I wasn't expecting a sincere apology for keeping me waiting so long, but you could have at least faked it. I took my medicine and got out of there as quickly as possible. Horrible experience. Went in to buy some things then went with a friend to the bar across the street for a beer and when I got back 15 minutes later my car had been towed. I had to get a cab to the storage place and pay 250usd to get it back. The CVS manager was completely useless. This is the last time I will shop at CVS. read more

Worst covid test experience thus far, I waited outside the rapid kiosk for 10 minutes and no associates came out I proceeded to wait in the regular Covid testing line for one hour and was told that I could not get the rapid test at the window and I had to return to the kiosk only for the girl with the smart mouth at the kiosk to tell me that she can reschedule my test because it already passed, I went inside and management told me that they would try to reschedule my test for the same day and then after another 10 minute wait they said they couldn't reschedule my test and they weren't doing anymore rapid ones and the nurse was leaving , i purchased the instore items i needed- only to return outside and they are still conducting tests, just didn't want to service me after their mistake. I bought something there on sale, when I got home the item was opened, so I tried to return it and he said he didn't take returns that were sale items. Really??????? Since when?????? I am finally finishing up my Houston trip reviews. Since the Walgreen's wasn't so great, we headed the opposite direction from the hotel and hit up this CVS for Nyquil (daughter had a bit of a cold/flu) and some Vick's Vapor Rub. Unlike the Walgreen's, we had super friendly and helpful service and I was out in a jiffy. How have I not reviewed this yet? My visit to minute clinic and the aftermath remains the single most egregious customer service experience of my life. I am so incredibly angry I don't know where to begin. I went there because I had an ear infection the week before my out of town wedding with honeymoon in Asia directly to follow. The guy who saw me, Ben, was awful. He did not listen to me but he was fascinated by the fact that I used to live in DC. But it's not a state! How can you live there if it is not a state?!? After educating him on our nation's Capitol, he proceeded to get my address wrong, and recorded that I live in Houston, DC. I did not see this mistake until weeks later when I got the bill, which magically still made it to my house here in Houston, Texas. He looked me up in their system, saw the medication I was prescribed for the SAME condition at another minute clinic, and then refused to give me that and said he had no idea why a physician would prescribe THAT medication for MY condition. Instead, he gave me a weaker antibiotic despite my insistence and telling him that I would be in Indonesia in a week and really, really needed to get better. He assured me that I would. I literally made him promise, and he did (which is moronic from a legal standpoint, by the way, Ben). Well, I went through the week of my wedding and my entire honeymoon with an ear infection. 5 flights totaling 28 hours EACH way. I had to buy more antibiotics in Indonesia, and then I had to see a physician at the airport in Singapore at the end of my honeymoon nearly 3 weeks after my original visit to this God-forsaken clinic. It was expensive. And guess what antibiotic the physician gave me... the one that Ben refused to give me. And I started feeling better immediately on my way home. After this, when I got the bill, I called to complain because there was no way I was paying it. After being promised that someone would get back to me 4 times over the course of a few weeks, I finally reached a somewhat helpful person who promised to put my bill on hold until I relieved a call back from the clinic manager and the issue was resolved. I never received that call. But 6 months later, I received another bill. I called back numerous times over a span of 2 weeks after this, each time being promised a call back within a certain timeframe, and each time never receiving it. I finally one day became completely insanely irate and absolutely refused to take "no" for an answer. I feel sorry for the several people who had to deal with me on the phone. I was out for blood at that point. But in the end, they closed my bill and sent me a $50 gift card to CVS. Although they were apologetic, after literally hours on the phone and a wedding week and 2 week honeymoon with an ear infection, that doesn't even come close to making me whole. Never ever go here. This place deserves no stars. In my humble opinion, they may go directly to hell. read more

I went there this afternoon when they were not busy at all to pick up my photobooks. This comment has nothing to do with CVS pharm but the Photo session. I picked this location because it is so close to my work place. I was told that my photobooks are ready. I came there, they were not ready, none of the products were done because they "do not have the materials to print" (???) The guy at the Photo department told me come back tomorrow. I asked for the phone number to call before I come to make sure they have my orders ready. Slowly he ran around couple mins to get the phone number. He read it for me from a piece of paper (cant even give me that piece). I had to ask for something to write it down. Gave me a pen but not anything to write on. I had to ask for a piece of paper (???) He gave me a RUDE look and said they did not have a piece of paper for me to write down nor give me that paper with phone number ??? I said "nvm" then walked out. I've been to CVS before and i know they can print out the phone number from the cashier, or give u a piece of paper even when you don't buy anything. I went in, signed my name and waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to be told they couldn't do it. I needed labs and this and that. I wad MAD AS A HORNETS NEST! I took off work to be there.
