Getting back on Target... Had some issues in the past and fast forward to my current visit was great! Knowing how many places are very short staffed and on this visit was no different though I do love they give a honest estimation of how long my prescription will take which did get me in trouble browsing around actually got me variety of great bargains lol! Returned at the time promised (20 minutes) and yes it was ready yay!! While I finish up my transaction I noticed a bunch of folks getting their flu/booster shots so I asked about getting one which to my surprise there wasn't any wait as I could get both though I already did my flu shot decided to get my booster since it's been a long long time and the process of it all was just great, and if you don't have your card...no worries as they can give you a sticker to add to it which makes it all even more convenient. The staff here is just great and to have such great choices of service they offer here is great and knowing they're willing to automatically refill your prescription or if rather do it on your own a simple call or order it on the CVS app the variety and choices of services is simply amazing. Thank you

Okay, I'm going to try submitting this review again with hopes that it doesn't get incorrectly merged. This CVS Pharmacy operates as Longs Drugs store # 17720 and is located within the Target Ala Moana on its 3rd floor.  It has been open since October 2017. Anyway, this pharmacy is part of a national chain and offers a full complement of services.  They accept most medical insurances and Medicare where you'll get discounted prices on your prescriptions and your co-pay could be minimal or none at all. Service is good and efficient.  If your prescription calls for an item that's not in their current inventory, they'll order it and get it for you usually by the next day.  Also, you can subscribe to automatic refills on chronic medications and get reminders to pick up your completed pharmaceutical order(s) through their app.   We like this CVS Pharmacy and have transferred some of our prescriptions here as we trust the CVS Pharmacy network. At the current time, social distancing and COVID-19 safety precautions are in place and the wait time for your prescriptions isn't very long if you bring your prescription in.  Besides, if it's not ready, you can always shop around in Target.

My preferred pharmacy. Partially because of convenience. Always a pleasant and professional team working there. Clean, and efficient.

I messaged the pharmacy and they confirmed that their Nu'uanu location will continue to be open, though only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Their Waipahu location has free shipping and delivery (tip is recommended for delivery) but I haven't used those services yet. I would just drive to the Ala Moana location because it's not too far, plus it's a good excuse to stop by Mari's Urban Garden haha. Free parking in the structure (ask the pharmacist to validate for you) and the service is always friendly, quick, and helpful. They use RxLocal, which is an online portal and mobile app that you can use to check pharmacy hours, message with the pharmacy, refill your prescriptions, and set medication reminders. I had so many horrible experiences with CVS/Walgreens on the mainland and eventually switched to a small, family-owned pharmacy and the experience was night and day. I knew that when I moved back home to Hawai'i, I wanted to continue to use a small, local pharmacy. I was glad to find 5 Minute Pharmacy and have been very satisfied with their service, especially as someone that takes various controlled medications and has a generally more complicated process with refills and prior authorizations.

Let me tell you the reasons! Mostly because they respect doctors and don't make it hard to get what my doctor prescribed. They stay current on laws and are knowledgeable. They are FAST! Maybe not literally 5 mins, but pretty close most of the time. They'll even deliver! The waiting area has comfy seats. The people that work there are so nice. You can tell they care. Parking isn't a hassle. The parking garage is free so you don't have to battle for street parking. If you do park on the street, keep your eye on your meter, because the cops give tickets out all the time. I see parking enforcement nearly everytime I'm there.

Convenient location…read more.. As my car is not feeling the greatest I needed a location that was closest to the Queens Island Urgent Care in Kaka'ako to pick up a prescription and since this was right down the street I keep the stress level down for myself as well. Located prominently on Ward Ave parking entrance is on Halekauwila Street which is free and with lots of covered stalls available that has an elevator that will take you down and directly into the store. With this being the newly opened location it's very nice and clean and not as crazy crowded like the malls is nice and with basically no lines it was an easy pick up and the staff is very nice and friendly as I arrived basically right after my check up knowing it wouldn't be ready that fast was actually being worked on which is so nice as having them will give me great comfort and that's I'm so grateful. Thank you!

You go up the ramp, park on the second floor and take the elevator down. Once you step of the elevator you're already in the store. I saw a lot of Hello Kitty items this time around. They have a photo department that does passport photos also. I came by and picked up a Pokemon card and Haagen-Dazs ice cream for someone.

Just be aware that it's possible you maybe asked for funds. However, the inside is clean and almost sterile. I like that they have frozen treats from other countries at pretty reasonable prices. The back aisles have a number of different medical supplies to stock your cabinets. It's a little smaller than Walgreens I've seen, but I only needed one thing. I broke the armrest of my mom's transport chair, and it was pretty old. Why not get a new one? No greeting which was alright since it's a drugstore, but I got a friendly nod from security. But I walked over near the pharmacy, and then just looked down an aisle, and there it was. The last one, only one, maybe they just put out one at a time. Brought it up to the counter, and the clerk was friendly. After coming out, I didn't realize there was a Petco. No wonder the Walgreens was small. It's a good store to come to.

I have worked with PharmaCare for over 20 years, and while they are known as one of the primary…read moreenteral and medical supply providers on Oʻahu, I feel it is important to share this experience in the interest of patient safety and system improvement. My child is medically fragile and relies on enteral formula, syringes, extension sets, and a G-tube device for daily survival. These are not items that can be purchased at a store, and timely, predictable delivery is medically necessary. On multiple occasions, scheduled deliveries were either missed or significantly delayed without any communication from the company. In the most recent incident, a delivery requiring a signature was scheduled within an 8 a.m.-5 p.m. window. A caregiver stayed home all day, yet no delivery occurred and no call was made to notify us of the delay. The delivery ultimately arrived close to 11 p.m., which created safety concerns for both the driver and our household and disrupted a medically fragile child who is seizure-prone. While we were relieved that the supplies were eventually delivered, the lack of communication, follow-up, and explanation was concerning. When deliveries involve life-sustaining nutrition or medical devices, "eventually delivered" is not sufficient. Late-night deliveries, missed windows, and absent courtesy calls pose real risks--especially for families caring for children with special needs, elderly patients, or individuals dependent on oxygen or other medical equipment. Over the years, there have also been recurring issues with inaccurate patient information, lack of follow-up on backordered items despite promised callbacks, and inconsistent communication from both office staff and delivery services. I want to be clear that my intent in sharing this is not to single out individual employees, but to highlight systemic issues that I hope leadership will address. Improved communication, accurate patient records, proactive notifications about delays or backorders, and clear delivery time boundaries would significantly improve safety and trust for patients and caregivers. I am sharing this so other families and caregivers are aware, and in hopes that PharmaCare will continue working toward the level of reliability that medically dependent patients truly need and deserve.
