Convenient location…read more.. As my car is not feeling the greatest I needed a location that was closest to the Queens Island Urgent Care in Kaka'ako to pick up a prescription and since this was right down the street I keep the stress level down for myself as well. Located prominently on Ward Ave parking entrance is on Halekauwila Street which is free and with lots of covered stalls available that has an elevator that will take you down and directly into the store. With this being the newly opened location it's very nice and clean and not as crazy crowded like the malls is nice and with basically no lines it was an easy pick up and the staff is very nice and friendly as I arrived basically right after my check up knowing it wouldn't be ready that fast was actually being worked on which is so nice as having them will give me great comfort and that's I'm so grateful. Thank you!

I love this Longs at Ward. It's one of their newer locations and it's huge. They carry items that…read moreother Long's don't. Parking is easy. You go up the ramp, park on the second floor and take the elevator down. Once you step of the elevator you're already in the store. I saw a lot of Hello Kitty items this time around. They also carry my face mask that I didn't see at any other Long's. Their cosmetics and body care line is huge at this store. If you're into that you'll love this place. They have a photo department that does passport photos also. I came by and picked up a Pokemon card and Haagen-Dazs ice cream for someone.

This location has free parking and is conveniently located in town. The one thing you do notice on…read morethe outside are the large numbers of houseless around the outside of the store and in the parking lot. Just be aware that it's possible you maybe asked for funds. However, the inside is clean and almost sterile. A large variety of snacks such as chips, chocolates, holiday candies, knickknacks and lotsa different types of soft drinks. I like that they have frozen treats from other countries at pretty reasonable prices. The back aisles have a number of different medical supplies to stock your cabinets. Toiletries and sundry items line the shelves but...keep in mind most are locked up. However, staff are nice and friendly which is a reason to stop by again. Prices are fair.

It's a little smaller than Walgreens I've seen, but I only needed one thing. I broke the armrest of my mom's transport chair, and it was pretty old. Why not get a new one? No greeting which was alright since it's a drugstore, but I got a friendly nod from security. But I walked over near the pharmacy, and then just looked down an aisle, and there it was. The last one, only one, maybe they just put out one at a time. Brought it up to the counter, and the clerk was friendly. After coming out, I didn't realize there was a Petco. No wonder the Walgreens was small. It's a good store to come to.

I have worked with PharmaCare for over 20 years, and while they are known as one of the primary…read moreenteral and medical supply providers on Oʻahu, I feel it is important to share this experience in the interest of patient safety and system improvement. My child is medically fragile and relies on enteral formula, syringes, extension sets, and a G-tube device for daily survival. These are not items that can be purchased at a store, and timely, predictable delivery is medically necessary. On multiple occasions, scheduled deliveries were either missed or significantly delayed without any communication from the company. In the most recent incident, a delivery requiring a signature was scheduled within an 8 a.m.-5 p.m. window. A caregiver stayed home all day, yet no delivery occurred and no call was made to notify us of the delay. The delivery ultimately arrived close to 11 p.m., which created safety concerns for both the driver and our household and disrupted a medically fragile child who is seizure-prone. While we were relieved that the supplies were eventually delivered, the lack of communication, follow-up, and explanation was concerning. When deliveries involve life-sustaining nutrition or medical devices, "eventually delivered" is not sufficient. Late-night deliveries, missed windows, and absent courtesy calls pose real risks--especially for families caring for children with special needs, elderly patients, or individuals dependent on oxygen or other medical equipment. Over the years, there have also been recurring issues with inaccurate patient information, lack of follow-up on backordered items despite promised callbacks, and inconsistent communication from both office staff and delivery services. I want to be clear that my intent in sharing this is not to single out individual employees, but to highlight systemic issues that I hope leadership will address. Improved communication, accurate patient records, proactive notifications about delays or backorders, and clear delivery time boundaries would significantly improve safety and trust for patients and caregivers. I am sharing this so other families and caregivers are aware, and in hopes that PharmaCare will continue working toward the level of reliability that medically dependent patients truly need and deserve.

The process was relatively painless. For Social Distancing they are only allowing 3 people in at a time. They take a temperature check before you enter which I appreciate. Once you go inside, they ask for your identification. If you haven't already filled out the paperwork, ( I suggest you do it prior to coming down) then you will fill it out. Then you wait for your name to be called. They take you into a room and give you the shot. I suggest you getting into your dominant arm so as to reduce the chances of feeling any pain. The girl that gave me mine we an expert as I didn't feel a thing. I almost asked if she gave me a shot? After your shot they ask you to hang out for between 15 to 30 minutes to make sure you don't have any reactions to the vaccination. The entrance for the parking is on the Makaloa St side of the building and I believe it is a dollar for every half hour. Overall this place is clean, easy to get to and the people are very friendly. Every time I walk inside, there's a strong, unpleasant odor that smells like sewage or fecal matter. It's consistent enough that it doesn't feel like a one-off issue--it's something you notice immediately when you enter the store. At times it seems stronger in certain areas, which makes me wonder if it's coming from plumbing, floor drains, or possibly even outside air getting pulled in. What's frustrating is that this location used to feel like one of the better-run stores on the island. Now, the overall impression is very different. Even if the shelves are stocked and the staff is doing their job, the environment itself really affects the experience of shopping there. What stands out is the comparison with nearby stores like Safeway, which don't seem to have the same issue, even though they serve the same general area. That contrast makes the problem at this location even more noticeable. I hope management takes a serious look at it, because this doesn't feel like a minor cleanliness issue--it feels like an infrastructure or maintenance problem that's been left unresolved for too long. It's a shame, because the store has a lot of potential and used to be a go-to spot.
