The service at this location has improved immensely. The only time I come is usually after 8pm, and there is an amazing new (ish) manager here! ( a Philippino guy with gray hair, if you see him say hi!) I don't think he was here last year, so great job CVS! He is so sweet and on top of it! He is very kind to the employees while encouraging them to pay attention. They also seem to have more young people working here... crazy thing is, they actually try to be nice! And very helpful! The girl who helped me at the register was really nice, and they were no crazy long lines like before. I give full credit to the new manager! Shows how much a great manager can improve things UPDATE: Had to change my rating from 5 stars to one star. While my experience here in the evening was fantastic, the day staff is an absolute mess. I wanted to purchase a razor. The razors are locked and need to be opened by a staff member. After looking around the whole floor for an employee wearing a cvs name tag or shirt, I couldn't find anyone. There was a women who could have been an employee, but with no visible name tag or uniform, so I couldn't be sure. So not considering her, no presence on the floor. I went to the pharmacy staff hoping that of the 6 of them, one of them might be able to help me unlock the stupid razor. They said they would call someone to help me. I went and stood there and waited for 8 minutes. No one came. I called the store, talked to someone on the phone and told her I'm waiting here in aisle 20, please ask someone to come unlock this razor. She said she would be right there. Waited another 10 minutes, no one came. At this point I am fuming. The manager is ringing people up at the registers. I went up and interrupted him ringing up another customer to tell him the situation. I know that was rude, but I wanted to get the razor and get out of there! He began to lecture me about how I should have waited in line at the cashier and then they would have gone and unlocked it for me.... Okay, I didn't know that was the usual procedure. But also, why did two employees say they would send someone... and still no one came? Why didn't they just tell me this procedure? The manager never said sorry, but after him lecturing me I said "send someone then! I've been waiting" and he said "okay, I'm apologizing" Saying "I'm apologizing" and wanting to make things right for a customer are two different things. This manager needs to get himself and his staff together. Put more people on the floor. read more

I went to this store 2 times to take prescribed medication for my son. Because it was emergency, the doctor faxed them the prescription and then I went there to take it. Both times I had unpleasure experience with the pharmacists. First they told me that they didn't receive any prescription from my doctor, then after asking to check again, they told me that they received but they can't give me any medication based on that prescription, because it was sent not in the form they wanted. I took mediactions from other CVS stores by prescription sent by fax and didn't have any problem. This store is "special". They don't have people skills at all and don't even try to help people, which I think they are supposed to do. Last time my experience with their pharmacists was really bad. I reached the store about 6:00 PM and they just started closing the pharmacy part, I told them that my son is in fever and I need the prescribed medication as soon as possible and the prescription has been sent by the doctor 1.5 hour ago. They didn't even look at me while speaking and were continuing to close the pharmacy. I understand that everybody wants to leave work on time and reach home as soon as possible. But hey ladies, I am not asking you to do me a favor and do something for me which you are not supposed to do. That is your job to serve people and help them. Even it would require you to stay at work additional 5 minutes, you shouldn't mind to do that. I am so disappointed with my last experiance that I have decided to share it with you at Yelp. Avoid this store if possible. It is just waste of time and nerves. read more

Im writing this on behalf of my grandmother who lives with me. My grandma and i have had the WORST experience at this place and i agree with almost all the posts on here that the staff that works here is rude behold believe..not only do they not speak good English they also dont understand English.When talking on the phone you have to repeat yours so much you just want to hangup. BUT thats not even the worst part. They shorted my grandmother prescriptions 4 times (4bottles) When trying to talk to them they literally didnt want to deal with it or even acknowledge that they might have even made a mistake they just dismissed my grandma.When my grandma got home i counted the pills with her the first time and saw she was right. I told her to talk to the manager and file a complaint. She went back asked for the manager and got the "cvs" manager not the "pharmacy" manager. she was told she needed to see that manager so she went to the pharmacy and was told he was not in.. she asked when he would be back and they did not know. She told them the issue and they out right told her she was lying. My grandma never ended up being able to speak to someone and never got her missing pills that she paid for. they wouldn't even check the cameras. sounds to me like they need to do some serious house cleaning.. they store is unfriendly and corrupt and wouldn't know customer service if it smacked them across the face.I also recommend random drug screening.. i mean come on... like a pharmacist has never stolen pills before its a serious issue that deserves investigating.. read more

CVS Montrose was out of a drug that my Doctor Rx'ed for me. They were kind enough to call this CVS, & they had it, & I got it from them. The same kindness was not returned when this CVS was out of the drug my Doctor Rx'ed me, not only did they not call another CVS to see if they had it, they told me that the drug I needed would not be in until the following Tuesday. This was on a Friday, & I said that my pain was severe. They said if I couldn't wait, I needed to call my Doctor for another Rx, & take it to another CVS. I was stunned how little they cared about my situation. They didn't even try to see if another CVS had the drug on hand. These past few days have been very painful, & will be for the next 3 days. I will not be going back here again after this. To be fair, my Health Care insurance will only do business with CVS, otherwise I would go to Rite Aid, or Walgreens. This is the worst pharmacy ever! They ignore you there 4 people standing around talking and 8 people in line. If you ask if someone can open up a line they are rude. Changing my prescription to another pharmacy even though I live down the street. I just rather avoid the bad customer service. read more

Today , I went to CVS and they don't know how to behave with the customers.I waited for 1 hour in picture printing area and nobody was there to help me.After that, An Asian /impolite & rude woman came and started giving me a bad attitude.She was the superviser for today.She must learn some manners and her social behavior is off.Tomorrow , I will call to complain about this .She better take some customer service classes to learn how she has to behave with a customer instead of talking rude with the customers.I will call CVS tomorrow.That Asian women should be fired right away.She is not the owner to treat the customers like that. This store is not good. The employees are rude and doesn't know how to deal with customers. Their pharmacy is worse. They want you to go in line for consultation which is stupid. I never heard any drugstore that you have to make in line for consultation. They are so dumb. The prices that they put in the shelf especially if its on sale doesn't match when you pay in the cashier. They ripped you off. I would never come back in this place never recommend anyone. The manger should trained the employees on how to give a customer satisfaction not just to run the store. read more

Try to avoid this location. This place desperately needs a renovation inside & out. Some products have dust. Employees rearrange the rows but that's not much help. This CVS is the closest pharmacy near my place and I love coming here. I always end up with a full basket even when I only intended to buy one item. I love the Extra bucks, when stocking up on necessary items like my hair color, shampoo and conditioner. I was looking for a medicated shampoo one time and this lady, Chanda, was so helpful. she even reminded me to slide my card first to check if I have a discount and Bingo, it printed a $5.00 off that I was able to use that day. read more

The staff at this pharmacy is absolutely the best. I recently transferred my medications from another pharmacy because of insurance reasons and couldn't be happier. The manager at the pharmacy (blonde girl) is so nice and friendly. I had some issues with some of my prescription refills and even though she looked like she had a lot going on, she took care of everything for me and was so polite and professional. She took the time to answer all my questions and showed she really cared. She even called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied with the service. Wow I wasn't expecting that kind of service at a chain drugstore but I have to say I loved it. Great store, great staff! Definitely recommend it! This is my new pharmacy now! read more

The pharmacist, Ms Nguyen and her team were very accommodating to my request. I had a problem with my on line delivery for a prescription which I needed, urgently. Ms Nguyen (and her team) assisted me even during their late shift and made sure my issue was resolved, while assisting other customers. I had to give them time, considering the other customers who need their help, but it's worth the wait!!! read more

I came to this CVS Pharmacy location after a long and horrible day. My day had started with a trying morning and the rest of the day only seemed to worsen when I started experiencing dental pain. It's my honest opinion that dental pain can make someone more miserable than anything else. Off to the dentist I went, extensive and painful work I had done, and antibiotics prescribed. My dentist's office faxed the prescription order to the pharmacy. I have to mention that I'm not the most pleasant person to deal with when I'm miserable and in pain. I was greeted by Mary who is one of their pharmacy technicians. She greeted me with such a warm smile and welcoming voice. She helped me fill my script and obtain my much needed antibiotics within 5 minutes from the time I walked in and went to the back of the store. Mary's calm, friendly, and professional demeanor was quick to improve my bad mood. In a way, she indirectly made me be nicer because she--herself, was being so kind. Needless to say, I got myself home and was able to rest after taking my medications. I was feeling better in no time. Thank you Mary for soothing my day. If there's a zero or negative rating this is what i am gonna give to cvs pharmacy-broadway their pharmacy aide/staff doesn't know what their doing. They keep on telling my parents that they ran out of prescription but in fact they don't...sometimes their reason is that they hold it in the computer which is apparently good but their computer generated phone system is not associated whatever activities they did..so you have to talk to pharmacist. Recently, my father called for a refill of his metformin.. the comp gen phone system says that its ready for pick up but when he went there, the pharmacist said that he doesn't have any prescription, the pharmacy aide said that he called the clinic but they did not respond. So he gave my father 6 tablets and said better call the clinic come Monday for a prescription. When we called the clinic monday they said they sent 3 months precription refill last March and its only May now and they are right. I called CVS i asked how many times my father got his refill since March...and the pharmacist said after checking everything he still have an available refill. So i asked her whats going on and why someone from their pharmacy told my father that he doesn't have any prescription....I assumed something is going on...we should have a copy of our prescription so that we could monitor our medication...or else they will keep on asking prescription refill from us and its our insurance that's being charged. read more

This CVS pharmacy is truly HORRIBLE!!! Always has long lines. Worst customer service! If they had a rating of no stars I would have chosen that. Customer service is 0! Management need to train their cashiers how to treat customers. This one cashier, a heavy set man, started giving me a bad attitude. He acted more like a thug than a cashier. He talked to me in a very threatening way. The way he talked to me as if he was talking to one of his homeboys. When I asked to talk to his manager, he said that he was on an hour break. He had me talk to his other homeboy saying that he was a manager when it clearly stated in his badge that he was a photo tech. These fellows looked more like they were from Homeboy Pharmacy. Their uniforms were unkempt and disheveled to say the least. Not a very good impression. I have been a long time customer of this store because it's the nearest drugstore around. But the way I was treated today. I will never set foot on this store again! I guess that's why this thug works at CVS because that's the only place that will hire people like him. What happened to treating customers with respect and courtesy? Even if an employee is upset, he/she needs to calm down and remember that customers bring business to the store. That's the basic principle of customer service. If you treat others rudely, you will drive your customers away. Simple as that. read more
