This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. For 6 months now, there has been some issue either simply filling my RX, sent by my doctor, I have taken for years. They either tell me it has already been filled, they don't see it at all, while I'm looking right at it in my app or some other stupid nonsense, which they assume no responsibility for and take zero action to resolve. We had a prescription that was filled accidentally to another Pharmacy I explained to the pharmacist that the prescription had not been picked up and that we needed it to be filled here in Galveston The pharmacist could have made a quick phone call to see that it was not picked up or whatever pharmacists do and filled it He is not even a pleasant person I have not made CVS my pharmacy in a long time but I have other family members that still patron this place. I can't even.... this is long, please read it all. You need to know this stuff. The Medical Board of Texas should get it, actually. Maybe they will. 1. WRONG CITIES: They sent my prescription to TWO wrong cities! They refused to help me straighten it out. (I see another review mentioning the same thing so there is definitely an issue) 2. NO MEDICAL PRIVACY: I was in line. I had politely asked the lady to please write for me since I have hearing loss and cannot read lips with a mask. She nodded, walked to the back of the room, and YELLED a question about my medicine. I said that I didn't understand, please come write for me. She walked halfway to me and yelled it AGAIN. I said to please not yell my private medical, please come write to me what you are saying. She rolled her eyes and threw up her hands. Another customer in line stepped up and waved at her to stop this, then offered to write for me. Medical privacy was told to the entire area by yelling. Waited on phone for 10 minutes, and no one ever answered. Will never use this pharmacy again. They have to be the worse customer service on galveston island. I do not know know how such a horrible excuse for a pharmacy could even stay in business. I will have to admit that the Walgreens on 61st is almost as bad. Both CVS and Walgreens would be well served to take lessons from the Kroger on the sea wall as far as customer service. Kroger employees are awesome. read more

Just moved here and wanted to find a new pharmacy. I use to work for this company and loved it. Guess it depends on the location. I called and got a tech on the phone to update my profile and get a script transferred, the tech cut me off a lot while I tried to talk to the point where she didn't understand that I just wanted to update my address, phone number, insurance and give them my pharmacy info from where I was transferring the script. She then told me to hold on and transferred me to a pharmacist, which I didn't understand because the tech does this part of the job lol so I then repeated myself to the pharmacist and his reply was "this is something my tech can do". He was in process of transferring me yet again so I hung up on them and called a local pharmacy in town. Thank you for reminding me of why I don't use corporate companies anymore. read more

This CVS location has a terrible pharmacy. They are rude and slow. I spent two full days trying to get a prescription problem resolved over the phone, and they only answered the phone once in multiple attempts and then they would not help. i tried four times today staying on hold for over ten minutes each time and they never answered. I finally had had to drive to the store. They had two techs and two pharmacists and weren't answering phones...they had 7 calls holding while I was standing there. When I finally got to the counter they sent me to a different line and then told me it would be at least half an hour. Needless t say I'm pissed so I pulled up a chair and told them I was going to sit right there and wait. Never again. I wil transfer to Walgreens bef I use these people again. read more

This is the only CVS I have ever contacted (as a physician) that has not answered a phone call...poor.

The main pharmacist is condescending and lazy. Doesn't answer the phone, gives wrong information about vaccinations, and is generally pretty worthless. I reported him to corporate. read more

I was going to buy peanut pretzels on sale for 499 I was told I had to pay six dollars cause I did have a Cvc card . The black lady said that I had to pay regular price . So I decided not to buy it. I'm not doing any more business there. read more

The girls in the pharmacy are so nice! I was so aggravated with getting a prescription called in and they had to order it. I was supposed to get said prescription last Monday and I didnt get it till Thursday. I know that's not the pharmacists fault but come on. The company needs to get it together and make sure to have them for people that are in need. read more

I'm not sure why this pharmacy has received bad reviews. I've dealt with them many times without any problems. As far as the pretzel connoisseur goes, it's hardly an indicator of reliability when a reviewer throws something like the irrelevance of an employee's race in their review. Today I called the CVS pharamacy on 61st Street in Galveston, to refill some of my prescriptions. When the automated recording sent my call to a pharmacist, the pharmacist picked up the phone asking what I needed. I told her that I needed some prescriptions filled but that the automated recording was having trouble with finding them. She then asked me the rx numbers, and as I was giving them to her she interrupted me and told me "that's too many digits" then put me on hold without any warning. I waited patiently for five minutes before hanging up and trying again. When I called back, the woman answered immediately asking me to hold. She had me on hold for 6 minutes. When she picked the phone back up, she said "CVS pharmacy, how can I help you?" I started to reply to her "I need some pres.." then she interrupted me, and in a very rude and impatient told told me "CVS pharmacy! How can I help you?" I was shocked at the rudeness of her interrupting me then giving me that tone.. I waited one second to make sure she was done interrupting me, then I started to reply to her again "I need some.." then AGAIN she rudely interrupted me in a rude and impatient tone "CVS PHARMACY!! How can I help you?" Also, last time I picked up my prescriptions from here I had gone in the drive through. There were only 2 cars in front of me, but it took 20 minutes from when we got there for the pharmacist woman to get to us. When she finally did, she told me that she was running behind and that it would take several minutes for her to get my prescription ready (which was due to be ready for pick up just an hour before arriving). I told her "That's fine, we can wait." At this point, 3 other vehicles pulled up behind me. She looked out the window, then told me "If you could, just drive back around to the end of the line while I get your prescription ready." What?? After her taking 10 minutes minimum with the people that were in front of me, are you serious? So we kindly told her "We have been waiting a long time as it is, we do not wish to give up our spot just to wait a lot longer." The pharmacist then rolled her eyes, and walked away. Five minutes later she handed us my prescription. I do NOT recommend this location for ANY pharmacy needs. read more

Rude! What happened to customer service. You stand there forever at the drop off line and they ignore you. When finally acknowledged by the staff (MARY!) the tone and attitude make you want to run for the door. Things that they promised aren't delivered and if they say it will be an hour wait...try adding an hour to that time promised. Not going back, will be transfering my prescriptions to a more customer service oriented pharmacy. read more
