This Target location has done a complete facelift. They've been working on upgrades for some months now, and it's good to see that they're coming to completion. Everything has been upgraded. Even the Starbucks located inside has been upgraded. The makeup section, the personal body care section, and the grocery aisles look good. But the one thing that really stands out is their restroom. I had the most amazing experience here today. We forgot to go by the bank in our hometown before entering Galveston for our family vacation cruise. It's our first one and we learned we needed small bills. We tried Walmart money center and was told they don't exchange larger bills for smaller ones and a few banks and got shot down due to not having accounts with them. Our last hope was Target before having to embark. The sweet woman who helped us was named Jaleesa. I think she could see the exhaustion on our faces and was eager to assist. I know a lot of people like us (who leave on cruise ships) come in often with the same requests and it can be overwhelming but she was so patient and understanding. I love having a Target so close and convenient but this is definitely the worst in the area. It's worth it to drive to Bay Area Blvd instead. The grocery section is seriously lacking in variety (even standard things you'd expect to find anywhere) and numerous other normal items on my list in all departments were not found there on several occasions. Unless you need something super super basic, I'd go elsewhere. On the good side, it's clean and the staff is always great. read more

Plenty of Texas themed souvenirs Atmosphere - Clean and safe. Plenty of parking. Got everything we wanted and needed. Service - Employees on the sales floor also greeted us, thanks. I love their little refrigerated section, if you turn right after entering and follow the main aisle to the far end of the store. It's like a mini grocery store with all the essentials, fresh fruits and veggies, deli items, milk, juice, etc. It's really convenient if your sole purpose is to grab a couple items like that while also needing whatever you came for in the first place. This used to be my go-to Target for just about everything for over a decade. It was always well maintained, with nice, friendly staff, well stocked shelves, and the typical good prices you'd expect from being in a Target store. In recent years, with more apartments being built in the area, it seems like the parking lot and store are a lot more overcrowded than they used to be, and the newer clientele clearly don't care about putting things back on racks and shelves like people used to. On the bright side, since I still work in the area, I swing by here on the occasional lunch break and I can pretty much always still find exactly what I need and get in-and-out quickly. read more

So disappointed in this store, particularly Whitney working as a cashier. For the older customers, or any customer, in line who had difficulty hearing her, rather than simply speak up she pulls her face mask down and leans in to repeat herself. I'm not sure how she thinks this fits in with Target's policy if employees wearing face masks. We purchased several large paper gift bags and as we were about to pay we realized Whitney had carefully folded them in half, making a nice crease in each of the bags, so she could fit them in to the plastic store sack. We'd already said we didn't need a bag. She ruined the gift bags as far as we were concerned. Who wants a bag that's creases? They're not shipped to the store that way, they're carefully hung so they don't get mangled. Needless to say we left without our attempted purchase and will shop elsewhere. Hopefully Target instills some common sense in to those employees who lack it. read more

This target has the 2hr pick up available. I like to use it when you think of a handful of things you need, but don't always have time to lallygag around the store and buy more than you intended. I'm looking at you dollar spot and target clothes. My order was ready in just over 2hrs and while they may have been slightly busier than usual for an 8pm pick up- I didn't wait long for them the associate to bring my things out. read more

I have been living on the island for a year now and always felt pretty safe going into this target. However, after today I don't think I will be coming back. I was approach by a man who proceed to ask me in front of an entire group of ppl that if I knew what a type of medicine is and that it was a miracle weight loss pill. He proceeded to talk about it when I cut him off saying I wasn't interest and quickly left because I was extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable. I was almost all the way down the main isle when he yelled out in a frustrated and a very angry voice "you are not interested in something that could change your life?!?" I ignored him and quickly walked to the check out. The most frustrating part is a target employee was 5 feet from me whom I looked at directly and we locked eyes, she chose to ignore me and quickly walked away. Thanks for helping me lady. After I got to the register I notice he was walking out with something under his shirt and he was stopped by an employee which they had a nice conversation (did nothing about him stealing something). While this was going on, I told the cashier lady that that man was harassing me in front of a lot of ppl. She said I am sorry that happen. well we do not have security on site right now but I will note the time and description of the man. (Thinking oh that would really help if he comes to me outside). She was a nice lady but they didn't do anything. Ppl are not suppose to solicit inside the stores. Another woman mentioned she was also harassed by the same man. The lady who stopped him and talked to him. Said "oh I thought he might have something under his shirt but our policy is we cannot approach someone about stealing or assume they have something", great. I wanted to talk with the manager further about the incident and called the store phone number, they never picked up their phone and never do. I did not and do not feel safe going back to this location, especially since they do not care about the customers safety or comfortability during shopping. I was very disappointed at the manager this morning with the pink heart Stanley cups in my opinion she did not do her managing correctly, she just left a full box of Stanley's in the back while when we all first came in and there was only two Stanley's left, so i went to walk around and when i came back I found out that they had restocked the pink heart Stanley's but they were all gone the manager replied that she didn't even know there was another box earlier, but I don't think that is fair for all of the people who were first in line because they told us there was no more Stanley's and so we left and then they randomly bring out more, and to top that off there was multiple lady's who had received 3 of the Stanley's online and came in person and got 3 more when there was a two per person limit overall I just don't think it's was good managing of her keeping up with the status of the boxes in the back. read more

I give it a c overalll.When this covid reset started, I bought an Xbox 360.I hadn't played any games in eight years, but this bad boy plays 4k and blue ray. Having been out of the loop, I bought an incompatible game cartridge. Even after being opened, I was able to return iit and get money back. However, when I tried to order a blue ray boxset of theSopranos I was told I couldn't order it through the store.. Trucked up to Best Buy and ordered it with no problem. That's saying something because I'm not. crazy about Best Buy. Target to me is like owning an elephant: it's expensive to support/maintain and sooner or later it evacuates on your head. read more

This is a beautiful Target store. Always well stocked,clean, and big enough to have everything you need. The only issue is they rarely open more than a couple checkouts no matter what time of day or how long the lines are. It's a rare visit when you can checkout in less than 10 minutes. You will almost always see abandoned carts by the door from people who just gave up. If you don't mind the checkout lines this is a great store. If you are easily frustrated by poor management stay away. read more

We were purchasing a toaster oven and weren't sure of the price so I took a picture of the stickers on the shelf. I say stickers because there were multiple prices for one item. When checking out, the oven rang up a total different price than those listed on the shelf. The cashier was very polite and offered to get a manager but we declined due to several customers being in line behind us. Apparently the ovens were in the wrong spot on the shelf, as all of this type of oven was in the same spot. Target needs to get better organized and have stockers be more diligent with their responsibilities. read more

Pricing is awful. I went to cosmetics, baby, and apparel. Everything was either not tagged or was improperly priced. Example: the entire shelf for diapers was incorrect. The seventh generation diapers was tagged as babyganics. The cosmetics didn't even have price tags. I had to locate a scanner to price check on my own. Very inconvenient. Worst target I've been to in a very long time. Although I still love target, this shows that the staff doesn't take pride in their jobs. read more

Ok so on my way to Galveston and of course we forgot stuff. Thank goodness there is a Target on the way. First off it is a Target so it is well lit and clean with a friendly staff. I found the clothing section to be more than the typical Target. Nice selection. Overall I am not sure about the grocery section since I did not venture there but I did see they had a cooler of milk and dairy. Parking was ample and it was easy to get to and easy to get back on the road. read more

Very bad experience with shopping at Target.com. Ordered a Christmas toy and it was shipped via UPS with UPS dropping it off at the local post office for final delivery. Every package that I have had shipped this by a website disappears. UPS shows it going from point to point around Houston for ten days without a delivery attempt. No contact to me or Target. Target promised delivery on the first contact and only offered a refund on second contact. They picked a CHEAP low quality shipper and lost a customer and they didn't care. Avoid them at all cost. I love it here. Why? Every time I am here I'm not maneuvering my way around inconsiderate people who leave their cart in the middle of the aisle and glare at you for trying to walk by and grab an item said cart is blocking. I don't have to step over unsupervised children, which is a bonus to any business. I also like it because its clean and everything is well organized. The checkers are pretty friendly. They could use a couple more when it's busy, but that is my only complaint. read more

The employees are always super nice and helpful, there was an item that was not on the shelf but an employee came over and asked if I needed help, I told them the problem and they scanned the shelf and told me that had some in the back. A few minutes later the employee came out with the product I needed. Super patient the whole time and told me which isle the item I was looking for was. This Pharmacy is full of ridiculous kooks. While on vacation in Galveston my son got sick. Went to Target to get his prescription filled, as I'm used to excellent service amongst Target pharmacies. They didn't have all of the medication needed in stock and said they would order the rest - we went back the next day and they STILL didn't have the rest in stock. The next day we went back again to pick up the remaining amount. Day after that I realized the medication smelled HORRIFIC. It was rancid, not just a funny smell, but absolutely rancid. I took it back and the Pharmacist agreed that it didn't smell "right." Then her tech started to ARGUE with me saying the other bottles we had gotten didn't smell because she "flavored them" (I hadn't asked her to do that, and why would you flavor two fills and not another?), also, she wasn't even working the first day, so how would she have flavored that bottle? The pharmacist stood by doing nothing and taking no action while this tech argued with me about the medication being bad. Eventually I got yet ANOTHER partial fill and she did some "Math" and told me it would be enough to get us through until the rest... yet again came in "Monday at 4" well, Sunday morning we ran out and I ended up just calling the Doctor and begging the on call nurse to get a new prescription written and sent somewhere else. I have never been so frustrated or annoyed by a pharmacy in my entire life. read more

This store is a go to when I need to random items but I don't want to go to different stores. The store is normally reasonably friendly, but aren't very helpful in general, the cashiers are quick and polite, but one thing that I have really noticed lately is how much they need to hire enough people to stock the shelves. I went in just yesterday to pick up items not a holiday or major day, almost every shelve that I went to for items was picked clean and had everything not wanted thrown about. They were very low on many essential items and as well very low on everything. It is still a good place to go for random items but don't expect organization. read more

Besides good parking and decent to good shopping environment, it normally doesn't have the things you're looking for (mainly in the grocery section) and the biggest is the staff they have working there. It's either junkies, thugs, or assholes. They really need fix that. Now for the best part about this place. This is the best place to buy Blu Rays and DVDs. Wide selection and always have the new releases. Decent video game selection, and has its own dedicated electronics section. And it has its own mini Pizza Hut. You can even get ices. The parking lot also makes a good place to eat fast food in the car. read more

The store is great. I am always pleased with the service and selection. The pharmacy however, is another story. I often times get text messages stating that my prescription is ready when it really is not. I have difficulties getting things at times. I went in to get a vaccine and I was told that I could get it then they said well, our system won't let us do it unless you get a prescription form your doctor. I contacted my physician and had the prescription in hand and was told that the person there that day was not contracted to allow them to administer vaccinations. She told me she would process it and have it waiting for me the next morning so all I would have to do is come in and they would be ready. When I got there she hadn't done that and then I had to wait a bit for her to try to process it. Then she said that she could not do it. So the pharmacist told her to call their help desk. She did and they told her it was illegal to give it to me. How is that possible? Evidently they don't in reality offer the services they advertise. So I asked her if she could give me the prescription back so I could try to find a different pharmacy. She got a bit snippy and said sure but you'll get the same response but go ahead and try. I went in a few days before and they told me that while yes they were open they had no pharmacist on duty so they could not fill my prescription. So that being said I thought maybe it had gotten better but I see why I drive the extra twenty minutes to the store in League City. unfortunately they don't offer that particular vaccination at that location. At least however they are nice prompt and if they say its ready it means it is ready. read more
