Because the staff is all new don't expect them to be too helpful and things like this are the reasons it scores 3.

A great dollar store!…read more As the name suggests, everything is $5 and below. Pretty cute name, no? You'll find tons of bargains here, with the quality of a dollar store or slightly better. You can find name brand things at cheaper prices. They stock clothes, makeup, seasonal items (like summer pool toys), phone accessories, art supplies, toys, novelty items. The list goes on! What surprised and impressed me, however, was their extensive candy section. I have a huge sweet tooth and 2 nephews who are 10 and 12 years old. So, of course, we raided the candy section! Everything was very affordable and I was able to treat them to all the sugar they could throw in the basket. They had all kinds of candy, soda, novelty, boxed and retro candies and even a display for candy sold by the piece! Even some foreign candy. If you love candy, stop in here for a look! I got some awesome Dr Pepper Twizzlers. They tasted just like Dr P!

It's been awhile since I've shopped at Maurices because they've closed so many of their locations…read more I just happened to be running errands in Clear Lake and remembered about this store located in the League City Town Centre (oddly, the store has a Dickinson address). I've been trying to overhaul my wardrobe and decided to stop in to see if I could find anything. Their clothing is cute and it's size inclusive (XS-4XL). The quality of the clothing is pretty good considering the prices are moderate. The staff has always been very friendly whenever I've shopped at their stores. They're great about getting a dressing room started for you so you're not having to carry a huge pile of clothes around the store. They write your name on the dressing room door which is a nice personal touch. Blanca was so helpful during this particular visit! She grabbed clothing for me if a size didn't work and made suggestions for different clothes to try. The other employees were very nice as well, but Blanca was a gem! Besides clothes, they also have jewelry, accessories, and shoes. I've bought a few pairs of shoes at Maurices. I still wear some of them now and they were purchased over 5 years ago. Again, the quality is decent considering the price point. If you're in the Clear Lake area, then you have the pleasure of not having to drive out of your way to shop at the store. For the Pearlanders (or Pearlandonians, or Pearlandites; what is the proper demonym for the citizens of Pearland?!) this is our closest option (unless you're on the west side in which that case I suggest you visit the store in Rosenberg).
