10 minutes after opening and they're not helping walk up customers. Pick up sure. Rude, lazy, and late! They also won't let you get more than one cold medicine. This shows a clear ignorance of the monthly limit. I was sick and they would only let me get one. I've been coming here for five years and I will never come here ever again, not even for household supplies. Stay away and buy your drugs off of Amazon pharmacy. I started driving further to come to this store vs the Haymarket one on Washington St. as they seem to have much better stock and have never delayed filling scripts. The staff is very pleasant and lines do form inside , but mid-day I get in and out quick compared to the other stores. Access is a bit tough with Rt 29 having the lane reduction right there, so patience is required. CVS talks a lot about the health hub at the store, but I have never seen anyone there. general stock is quite good here, big variety of products. I am going with a 4, will upgrade if continued good service is given consistently. read more

I went to CVS at 14380 McGraws Corner, Gainesville VA 20155 on August 19,2024 at 7:45 AM! Waited outside because the door wasn't open yet! 8AM it still wasn't open, a few customers had walked away because they didn't want to wait RAIMUNDA came and open the door late, I walked in and asked where can I print pictures, she pointed to the corner and was being rude already After I printed them I walk up and she said "that's not the receipt, where's the one with the bar code?" I said I didn't get any, she said "YEH THERE IS WHERE ARE THEY?" And her voice got loud with me! "Lemme see the pictures" and yank them away from my hand pretty hard, bend them and I said "don't bend my pictures" because they were supposed to be a gift she said "I DIDN'T BEND THEM" with a nasty attitude! She then had to OPEN the machine because the receipt she was looking for was STUCK in the machine and I CANNOT go in there without the key! Didn't even say sorry She needs to be fire! I think this is the first dedicated drug store in Gainesville. Oh sure, Giant, Target, and other area megastores have a drug section, but this is the first real drug store. This pharmacy never answers the phone and will leave you on hold with hellacious music. Even after you spend a ridiculous amount of time on hold there's a 50% chance they will just hang up on you instead and answering the phone. I've used this pharmacy for many years strictly based on the location, but the horrible service and lack of reliability to fill prescriptions on time or notify of prescription updates removes any benefit of location. They are extremely under staffed, but that has only added to the years of issues. Many of my providers have also agreed this is not the pharmacy to use in Gainesville. Save your time and sanity and use anywhere else. read more

I waited at the drop off booth for about 5/ 10 minutes with no one in front of me and wasn't acknowledged. I then went and waited my turn at the cash register and when I was next I was then told to back over to drop off as the representative went on to help someone else. I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience with the store manager at my local CVS, and I feel compelled to share my frustration. This woman (Rebecca) who claims to be the "Store big manager", according to one of the people in the pharmacy section who provided me with her name. Kind of Indian or something, excuse me if I am wrong. The level of rudeness, lack of helpfulness, and blatant disregard for customer service exhibited by the manager was utterly appalling. From the moment I approached her with a simple question, it was evident that she had no interest in assisting me. She seemed disinterested and completely detached from her role as a store manager. Her lack of professionalism was apparent in her dismissive attitude and complete disregard for my concerns. What struck me the most was the complete absence of empathy and willingness to help. A good manager should be approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to address customer inquiries or issues. Unfortunately, this particular manager seemed to possess none of these qualities. Her behavior left me feeling frustrated, unheard, and ultimately unimportant as a customer. I would strongly advise against visiting this CVS store while this manager remains in charge. Her rude and unhelpful demeanor, coupled with her blatant disregard for customers, is simply unacceptable. As a loyal customer, I expect and deserve better treatment when I walk through the doors of any store. I am a human and a customer. read more

I understand that we're in a pandemic still and most retail/service locations are severely understaffed. However waiting for about 30 minutes in the driveway line and then collectively waiting at the window is unacceptable especially on a Saturday morning. The pharmacy staff is incompetent and the staff in general is not friendly. I have my prescriptions on auto fill, get texts to tell me there ready and when I get there they are not ready AND they have the wrong doctor on my information. Then the person couldn't figure out what prescriptions I am supposed to be picking up. i went back to get my prescriptions that weren't ready the first time and the pharmacy was closed and there were 2 people sitting in there starring at me but never came to the window. This used to be my go to stare but I am taking my business elsewhere. This is the third time I have had a problem with this cvs and I am sick of it! Pharmacy is the worst. Awfully long wait times not only in person but on the phone. We don't get medications filled very often but this happens every single time. Also had a problem where they never called to let me know that the medication for my 3 year old's pneumonia was unavailable. I had to call and wait on the phone for over 20min for the pharmacist to come on and tell me that they could order the medication and have it for me the next day. Unacceptable, as this was urgent. Only when I suggested sending my prescription to another local pharmacy, did they offer. read more

I took my daughter to this minute clinic and Dr. Iris was wonderful. She took her time and thoroughly examined her, asked questions, and made her feel comfortable. Thankfully she tested for flu, even though my daughter had the shot. She ended up having flu and pneumonia and both were caught soon enough to be treated promptly. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for her taking her time and being so kind while examining my daughter. read more

I was told my prescription would be ready in 20 minutes. I waited 30 then got into the drive thru. I waited for 15 minutes with two cars in front of me. I was told to pull back around because my prescription was not ready (mind you there are now three cars behind me & she is trying to tell me i have to wait for all of them IN LINE AGAIN). She didn't care i was going to have to wait another 15 or so minutes and did nothing to speed up my prescription she told me would be ready by this time. This CVS Pharmacy is constantly slow and the workers are rude. I like CVS but this Pharmacy sucks and i'm tired of being lied to about times. read more

I love this CVS! I have used their Minute clinic on several occasions, Iris is a sweat heart and for minor health issues she is my 1st choice of providers. I only wish this was a 24 hour Pharmacy. The nearest one to where I live is in a bad part of Manassas. read more

I'm torn between giving a 5-star review for the Pharmacy Staff, or a 1-star review for the corporate management. However, seeing as this review is for the location, I'll give it 5. (CVS, if you ever red this, you suck) CVS does not allow their managers to hire the staff needed to properly run a store, let alone a pharmacy. They are forcing 1-2 people to do the work of 4-5, and asking their employees to do this for barely over minimum wage. Employing only 2 pharmacists may be the average amount for a pharmacy that is open 12 hours a day, but having only 4 technicians is absurd. In order to properly run a pharmacy, you would need those 2 pharmacists and 4 techs working all at once. But these poor ladies have to split up the time; many times I go to get prescriptions, there is only 1 tech and 1 pharmacist. However, even with the stress of managing 2 Drive Thru lanes, 2 Pick-up stations, 2 Drop-off stations, AND actually filling/verifying the prescriptions, the 2-3 Pharmacy employees I see working on a regular basis are AMAZING. Never once have I received anything shy of respect and amazing customer service when going here. I feel for the staff though, it is very hard to tend to everyone's needs when your district managers are severely restricting their hours. The pharmacy manager (Linh) the general manager (Tim), the second Pharmacist (Anitta), the techs (Nicole, Y, Emma, and Payal), the floor staff (Raimunda and Brian) are simply amazing. They all deserve a raise and better district/regional managers!! read more

To begin with, I am not a fan of CVS. I have had dreadful experiences at 3 other locations and if I had to rank this CVS only among other CVS locations, I'd say this one is one of the best. However, compared to other pharmacies I've used including the in hospital/in practice pharmacies and my favorite at Harris Teeter (I've used Reston, Haymarket and Gainesville,) as well as general customer service standards, this CVS falls below average. The only reason I use them at all is because they are significantly better than the one in Haymarket and my insurance requires certain medications to come from CVS or mail order or else they aren't covered in my plan. So, every few months, I have to go through the hassle. All of that aside, generally, the lines aren't too long but yet with 4 people working behind the counter, it still takes 10 minutes or so to complete the transaction - even when I'm the only one there. I try to choose week day times late morning or mid-afternoon to avoid any lunchtime or after work rush. Alone I stand at the counter without anyone even acknowledging my arrival or bothering to look up. When they do greet me it's with a bored "Picking up." - not even really a question. At the conclusion, they never thank me or wish me a good day. Most of the time, the transaction is completed without a smile or even making eye contact with me. Picking up my prescriptions at CVS has become devoid of humanity. On the good side, because of their deal with my insurance, at least I get them at all. Hassles that I have experienced - at one point, I had all of my medications synced so that they could be picked up at the same time - once every 3 months. A year ago, I received text notifications that my pick-up was ready but when I went, one of the prescriptions was not auto-refilled with the rest of them (although it had been set to auto-refill previously.) It just somehow "stopped" auto-refilling. Now, at Harris Teeter, they would have noticed and filled on the spot for me when I arrived. But not CVS. So, it wasn't ready, it wasn't available, and I had to come back 2 days later to get it. That was the beginning of the staggered pick-ups. Then, another one completed it's refill term and the doctor needed to do a new one for it. No one informed me OR the doctor of this, it just wasn't ready when I went to pick up the rest of them - after 5pm on Friday - after the doctor's office was closed. Now at Harris Teeter, whenever this happened, they would call me and ask if they should reach out to my Doctor but not at CVS. They just let me be surprised when I arrived and it's not ready and now I can't get it until Monday. So, finally, after these types of things happened a few times, I said something to the pharmacy clerk. She explains that although the computer can be set-up to advise them of these service items, their store is much too busy to actually pull the report, review it and take action. Wow! As if that weren't enough, for the past few days, I've gotten a call from the pharmacy as a "courtesy" asking me if I have any questions on my medication - which by the way I've been taking for 6 months. No, no questions on that but since this is the 3rd call in 3 days and you've explained this is a new "customer service" initiative you tell me you are starting up because you "care about your customers," let me tell you what would make an impact in my perception of your store - taking care of the above items to save me time and frustration! At that, the lady told me that she's only doing her job and they haven't been told to do that, just call about existing medications to see if we have questions but I can call and complain to an 800 number. Having done that with prior issues at other stores previously, I don't believe there's value in spending my time that way so I tell her I'm not going to do that but as the customer service person who is calling me, perhaps she'd like to do that herself. She then replies sarcastically, "Thanks for making my day." Wow. No, CVS, thanks for making mine! Your mediocre service and lack of proactivity astounds and in my opinion, calling about existing medications without any attempt to fix the more frustrating issues is a bandaid to the real problem - you just don't really care about the customer service aspect. read more
