Heading out of town for a family business trip and needed to make our first pit stop for the trip. Mostly for my Dad to get coffee in the wee hours of the morning, but also to fuel up the vehicle. Getting here wasn't horribly hard, but I contribute that to the early morning hours. Pulled in and right up to the pumps. While I filling up the tank my Dad went inside to fill up a coffee cup. After I finished at the pumps I also went inside to get myself a drink. I am not a coffee drinker, but I still needed my caffeine. I went with the coolers and grabbed myself a sweet tea. Checking out inside was quick for me as I went the self checkout route. I can only imagine what this place is like during the daylight hours. Maybe some time in the future I will venture out this way to check it out. read more

One thing Sheetz does, is keeping their locations clean. When you're on a road trip, this is quite important. Gas used to be more competitive at Sheetz, but Wawa and others have eclipsed them. It is a shame, but all of us are pinching pennies. The main reason to go to a gas station, is to fuel up plain and simple. Inflation is a factor, but Sheetz doesn't have the low prices it was once known for. Is it still decent priced? Yes but it's not the cheapest. Props to the really good employees here. Definitely an efficient and friendly staff. Sandwich and coffee helped the drive, be a little more bearable. Super clean bathrooms, and nice store selection too. Do recommend this, but if on a tight budget, please prepare accordingly. read more

The only issue I had today was trying to get in and out of the parking lot, as there were cars everywhere and it was tough to maneuver the lot. I'm 7 months pregnant all I wanted was a pina colada . They accidentally forgot to make it around 9pm no problem . I went and asked if they could make it at 5am and order so more food no problem. The manager asked her employees to make it and never did . Then she told me well did you even pay for it and I gave her the receipt . Then she continues to argue with me over the time I was here and her employees continued to act like they didn't know what order it was from going through the screens and looking at me crazy . All they had to do was make the drink . But instead argued w me . If you want to just be treated with decency I suggest you don't eat here . Who knows what they do with the food . I think this is now the only place in Haymarket proper to fuel up your vehicle (the gas station across the street is now closed and boarded up). Of course, Sheetz also sells coffee, espresso, fountain drinks, bottled drinks, snacks, sandwiches, junk food, and your typical convenience store wares. Today the place was absolutely packed - every gas pump had a line 2-4 cars deep waiting to get a dose of fuel. Purchased a steak and cheese sub yesterday from Haymarket Sheetz. I didn't open it until I got home. It's hard to explain but it looked like the prep cook put it under water first. It was a soggy mess. Brought it back today and showed the cashier who in turn showed the Manager would not refund my money. Didn't have the receipt. It was wrapped in a Sheetz MTO foil, in the Sheetz bag. The receipt was left on the pick up area. Long story short, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR RECEIPT ON THE PICK UP AREA. This has happened 2 times now. This particular Sheetz almost always has basement bottom gas prices along I-66. Plus if you have a Sheetz loyalty card (free) you can save an additional $0.03 per gallon of gas and get other perks. One of my gas station pet peeves are pumps that don't have receipt paper so when you want a receipt, you have to go inside and stand behind grandma purchasing 25 lottery scratchers. In the multiple times I have pumped up here, the pumps have always been stocked with receipt paper. I was up extra early Saturday morning so I decided to try one of their Made To Order (MTO) breakfast sandwiches. The touch screens make it very easy to filter what you want to order (breakfast, lunch, etc) and give you a host of options for extras while being upfront about the cost. I got basically an egg and sausage sandwich with cheese on pretzel bread for $3.45. More expensive than McDonalds, but oh, so good and fresh! And the service was just as quick. read more

To some degree I find it weird that I am typing up a review for a gas station. I have never been one to ever eat any of the sorts of foods you can find at your average gas station. But Sheetz is the one exception. Their MTO = Made to Order food is surprisingly tasty. Nothing gourmet of course, but for cheap fast food, it's pretty good. This place is always packed. After talking to the employees its actually one of their busiest locations of all. And since they are so busy the parking lot can be an absolute mad house. And the soda fountains can be found out of service more times then one would like. But back to the food - it's a little sad but I've tried lots of things here - their smoothies and shakes are pretty good. They change out their flavors with the seasons and seem to get more and more creative. They have lots of good sandwiches that are really pretty good. My husband and I have lately been obsessed with their burrito bowls. My personal favorite and what I was originally introduced to was their breakfast sandwich. They really have the best ones around. I am a personal fan of sausage egg and cheese on either a buttery flaky croissant or a pretzel roll. It may not the healthiest way to start your day, but it's the tastiest. To order there are computer screens near the food counter where you click through the menu to order. Once you have finished a receipt will print out. In order for them to start the cooking you need to pay, so take your receipt to the cashier who will scan it and you can pay. You're order number is at the top of your receipt and will be called from the food counter when it's ready. Be sure to keep your receipt as if it's busy they may ask for it to confirm they are giving you the right thing. Also do not look up the calorie count for their cookie and cream shake. Seriously, just don't do it. I've been the list this location of sheetz probably three times over the past five years It is easy on easy off the highway as long as there's not construction but there has been a lot of construction for the past several years, it looks like the road construction is ending which is good. The area has expanded a lot around this location, many stores and strip malls are added to the area which brings more traffic. The location itself is easy to get to the people inside are helpful the interior of this location compared to other locations is much smaller but I find it quick and efficient when you go in. The gas is priced with other gas in the area typically you find at these. Franchises to be a lower-cost but this is in line with the other costs in the area. While I am not in the area very much when I am in the area I find that say go to kind of place and will continue to use it and I hope that they continue to provide quality and courtesy with their customer service and make us have a good day read more

I have been to this location multiple times, for various reasons including getting gas. My last visit was the final straw. First off, this place is always so packed with idiotic drivers who don't pay attention you are bound to get backed into or hit. There is a guaranteed five minute wait if you need to get gas. Against my better judgement I got food from this Sheetz, which has been terrible in the past but I had no choice since I was late for something. I ordered a Pretzel Melt which I usually like, not this time. First off, my friend and I ordered TWO sandwiches which were both on the same receipt/ticket. The food prep lady could NOT understand that both orders were on the same receipt and held one sandwich hostage since we couldn't provide a ticket for the second (because we already gave her our ONE with both sandwiches on it). After arguing with her for about 30 seconds I decided to get loud and demanded that she stop what she was doing and look at the receipt. She then realized that she was a complete idiot, but instead of apologizing she practically threw my sandwich at me. Unacceptable. I am now on the road trying to enjoy my sandwich, which I couldn't because it was inedible. It had been microwaved for so long that the pretzel roll was completely rubbery and the lettuce was cooked. The sandwich had been cut in half, and one ENTIRE side had no ham on it. The brilliant lady who I was arguing with also apparently thought that condiments are supposed to go on the OUTSIDE of the sandwich, instead of on the inside. There wasn't a drop of honey mustard inside of my sandwich, it was all over the outside of the roll which made a total mess. Complete failure, I will never be returning to this location. read more

(has price is high too) while in dallas my throwout bearing started acting up but given that it was a Sunday and I couldn't spend several days there for a transmission shop to look at it and the vehicle is only worth a couple thousand and I didn't want to pay the $1500 U-Haul moving option so I took a chance. I drove the whole way in fourth only stopping for gas which worked, until I got to the sheets. It's not right off the highway like the other places I stopped were , it's a long time sitting at a light in order to make a left turn and then a right and a right into the lot. From there it was crowded so more of a wait and to get out you can't go the same way you got in , it's a right turn then it's crowded to get onto the highway and then another long light, which I never made before my bearing took a dump. so the car rolled back into the sheets lot as I'm writing this review. If it was indeed a right turn off the highway directly into the lot and then one left to get back out like most places along the highway when they get posted on the gas exit sign I'd be back on the road and could've gotten my car back to my place where I could do the work myself. Positioned on the outer limits of what you can consider Northern Virginia is this Sheetz. It has the cheapest fuel north of Fredericksburg and has plenty of pumps if your car burns gasoline. If you're an oil-burner, you get two. Two pumps that are located a little too close to the adjacent gasoline pumps for a long-wheelbase diesel vehicle to fill up whilst another car gets gas. Because of this, your Sprinter or Super-Duty will have to stick out and block incoming traffic until the car at the gas pump is done. In addition to the abundance of pumps for cheap fuel, there is proper selection of munchies inside. They even one-up the 7-11 roller grill by making hot food to order. Although it is a bit pricier than the roller grill, you don't have to chance an upset stomach with food that has been warming all day. The restrooms are clean, big plus on that. This is a very popular rest stop on I-66 and I cannot think of a time when it has not been packed. For whatever reason, despite having lines that are never less than nine long, they seem content with two cashiers. Because of this, if you go inside, you will be waiting a bit to check out. While you're in line, there is some great people-watching to be had here. City-folk, vacationers, rednecks, and even the occasional Juggalo pack the aisles here. This is an easy stop for fill up on gas while travel I-66. The place is usually crowded, but the line moves fast I like the made to order food menu. Restrooms are usually clean. The WORST customer service experience from their Hospitality manager..the irony of that title... My boyfriend went in to purchase a lighter for me yesterday evening and he wasn't greeted, wasn't even given eye contact, instead the manager proceeded to count money from her register and tell him rudely "I can't take your ID". It was expired by a week...my boyfriend is 25 and does not in any way look like a minor. He then gets frustrated and comes out to tell me and I immediately go in and before I could even get to the register, she rudely says to me "nope, I'm not doing it." I said "uhm excuse me?" She then says "I know you came with him and I'm not selling it to you" as she proceeds to laugh and shake her head. Keep in mind, I am 23 and my ID is NOT expired...this lady was refusing to sell both me and my boyfriend a LIGHTER because of his expired ID!! Aside from that, she was laughing at me and had an attitude the whole time trying to belittle and embarrass us. I left the store and called in to place a complaint and asked to speak to the store manager and she said rudely "you're speaking to her" I told her I wanted to place a complaint and she told me "I'm not selling you a lighter and losing my job because of you". I left, went right up the street and purchased a lighter from the othe sheetz...I then returned to their store today and purchased a lighter. The associate who rung me up didn't even ask for my ID, nor did he scan it. I personally feel like this manager (don't even remember her name. African American lady with braids and glasses) needs to be demoted or fired. I am not recommending this store to anyone. In fact I only returned to prove a point to myself. Sheetz is a good, convenient location to pull into and fill up. It's just ALWAYS busy here. You can pretty much bet on waiting behind a car to finish filling up so you can pull your car in. But it is in a place where I'm sure drivers come from quite a distance to get some gas. Inside, they have a lot to offer in the way of snacks, made to order items, 24 hour coffee, an ATM, drinks, I always get the Sunday paper there. There's even a little area with tables to sit down and eat a sandwich before heading out. No car wash though. Bathrooms clean. I'm always here, just plan to wait to get to a pump. read more

This Sheetz is just okay to sometimes bad. It's all hit or miss here, and usually it's a miss. Part of the problem is that it's the only gas station/convenience store right off the interstate for several miles in each direction. This means the place can get incredibly busy at times. The staff does their best, but frankly I'm not impressed with most of them. There's a few of them that are hard working, friendly people, but that's few and far between. I feel their pain as I'm sure it's not the best job in town. The place is normally dirty, but really who could keep up with the heavy flow of traffic they encounter? Sheetz should seriously invest a little more maintenance and staffing into this place considering the hand over fist money they have making. They have an okay selection of drinks and snacks. The food service is usually poor and I have to admit that I'm not a fan. Probably the multiple long waits and lackluster taste experiences have contributed to that. This is not closer to where we live in Gainesville, but is perfect when I land up hungry in El Vaquero West which is on Rt.55. A gas station is a gas station, can't complain much unless something really irked you off. If you live in the area and are drive to work via I66, this is a good place to get your gas, coffee and snacks. It's usually packed considering the location. So be aware. read more

First you attempt to overcharge me by almost $3 on food then you give my a smaller version of item i paid for ordered and paid for a cup of tots for $3.50 plus tax for a bag with 8 tots.
