I've passed this store a million times. I think I did stop once before today... A…read morelong...Time...Ago.... So today me and the kids and kid's friend took a hike nearby and upon hearing, in the back seat, that chocolate was required after a hike, of course I had to stop. I only got a king size Twix but it was enough for the four of us. No deli but there were ganja pipes (blown glass) and knives and hatchets. snacks and of course....beer and ciggs..uggh. The guy at the counter was nice and talkative. Back to the reason we stopped... The Twix. I asked my daughter after I bit into one of the 4 portions, what the expiration date was on it. She says 7/2015. LOL- I knew it! The cookie crunch was non-existent. LOL. Anyway. This little non-deli deli store was just one part of our fantastic day! haha... gotta love it.

Don't be fooled by the outside sign - there is no Deli inside. I stopped one day to get a sandwich - they advised me the Deli part of their store was no longer in operation. Other than that, I stop in here for cold drinks when I am passing through. To bad - the previous Broad Run Grocery served up some tasty Gyros! Until Yelp corrects the address for this listing - the correct address is: Royal Mart 16316 John Marshall Hwy Broad Run, VA 20137 (703) 753-9061

When you have a thirty plus gallon tank, you get to know where to roll. Here's there's plenty of room for the behemoth. Also I like the cleanliness. If here at night the illumination is superb. Yes it also is a 711. Often I gas up at the pump, and simply roll out. Yet when here the employees are friendly and efficient. The store is well stocked. Here the coffee is fresh, and for things like this, cheaper results can be just fine. It's also convenient to Cabelas, and other historical areas.

The two older 7-Elevens were really old - they were in Gainesville as long as I can remember - 20 years or more. So in comparison - this is a nice new facility - gas station, restrooms, ATM, convenience store, and more. I'm betting this location does a hell of a business on days/evenings that concerts are taking place at Nissan Pavilion - it's very close to that concert venue. Had a nice large Cola Slurpee here the other day. Icy and delicious!

We grabbed dinner from Sheetz, and for gas station food, it was surprisingly great. We ordered the…read moreappetizer sampler, a burger, and the brisket melt. The sampler we chose came with mozzarella sticks, chicken bites, and mac n cheese bites for around $5, which is a steal. The burger was about $6 once I added cheese, but the base price is around $4.99--super cheap. The brisket melt was also $4.99. We grabbed bottled drinks too, which were around $2-$3. Overall, very affordable and a lot of food for the price. The burger itself was pretty mediocre--tasted like a frozen Costco patty. The brisket melt was okay, but the seasoning was whatever and the bagel bun was tough since it wasn't toasted. Still better than the burger, but nothing special. Now the appetizers... those carried the whole meal. The chicken bites had too much breading, so I probably wouldn't get those again. But the mozzarella sticks were honestly some of the best I've had. And the fried mac n cheese bites were a risky pick, but they paid off--they had Kraft-style noodles with perfect breading. If you like Kraft mac n cheese (which I do), they were amazing. Overall, eating dinner from a gas station was a gamble, but it ended up being worth it. The main meals were mediocre, but the appetizers--especially the mozzarella sticks and mac n cheese bites--totally made up for it. I'd go back just for those.

I would suspect this happens after most concerts, so it baffled me to discover that the store was in disarray as the floors were being clean. Yes, it was after midnight, but if you know a bunch of people are gonna show up soon, maybe wait until after the rush to break out the zamboni? I felt like I was being chased around the store. Also, A man with several mops was blocking the way to the bathroom and told a coworker to "look out! Rookie driver!" Excuse me sir, but I have been driving my wheelchair far longer than you'd like to understand. I am far from a rookie, and I didn't come close to crashing into anything or anyone. How about you move the hell out of the way? Neither of these wise gentlemen could bother to hold open the bathroom door, as they were too busy having a chuckle. Jeremy had to basically climb over me and these men, with their equipment, to get the door. Then there was someone in the accessible stall, making phone calls. I know this because the phone was on speaker, and the call was being forwarded. Look, I understand that people prefer the larger stall, but I shouldn't have to flash my ass at strangers cuz you've got calls to make. Have some consideration. After all that, we didn't buy anything cuz all we wanted to do was get away from this demented store and these late night people.

The owner is from Colombia, and there's a beautiful portrait in the shop representing coffee from her family's farms, which adds such a personal and meaningful touch. Cute shop but service negatively affected the overall experience. Walking in, we liked the vibe. The place is tight on space and it gets very busy and crowded on weekends. This coffeehouse has potential, but they're not showing their best right now. Bait and switch: Based on their menu, we did not at all receive what we were anticipating. It sounded so delicious on the menu. However, what we got was not what was posted and not one of the staff told us that they were out of what we ordered. Not at the time of ordering, not while we waited forever to get our food, not when the food finally came out. Some food was brought to us, some sat out on the counter forever (because the buzzers don't work) where other customers picked up their orders. Who knows how much spit ended up on the food! We kept munching and kept thinking something is missing. We looked under the bread and didn't see what was stated on the menu so we finally asked and were told they were out of what we ordered. Absolutely unacceptable but useless at this point after waiting 20+ minutes for sandwiches and beverages and being faced by someone extremely unapologetic and unmotivated to correct the situation. So, prices definitely not worth what you get here. Hit or miss in terms of food and beverages for both quality and taste. Disappointing that the coffee was so sour and bitter tasting. Hoping for a nice smooth cup. Everything we ordered and customer service received here...unreliable at best. Worth the drive? Nope. If in the immediate area and needing caffeine, maybe, but definitely not worth going out of your way. Parking tight on the weekends. Was so hoping to love this place because we need more independent warm, cozy, welcoming coffeehouses. But service, food, coffee at this point were all very disappointing. Big improvements in all areas? Well, maybe we'll return and try again, but the poor first impression received on this visit will be hard to motivate a return in order to improve this rating and review.
