I don't quite understand the low ratings of some of the reviews I see here. I stop at this restaurant nearly every morning and have seen first hand how well run it is. The service is prompt and very friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. And - very important! - the coffee is excellent. I found out just *how* good this restaurant is managed compared to others recently when I had to go to another nearby McDonalds due to a water main issue and found the service, food and coffee quality was *far* below that of the Haymarket McDonalds. I've noticed the same thing with other McDonalds I've visited. So, taken by itself or in comparison to other McDonalds, the Haymarket McDonalds is top notch. I'm glad this restaurant is here to help me get going on my busy mornings! read more

Not only were there no drinks available, but they took the order wrong and they were snarky about it.

They literally steal your money and they have the least likable staff I've ever seen they stole from me and my brother i was def better off going somewhere else. 30 min wait time on average the food is either under cooked or left on the heat lamp too long just don't go. read more

Basically a drive through McDonalds. That is their priority. Good luck getting served as a walk in. Expect to wait. Staff is friendly (when you can get their attention). Prices are outrageous. read more

I ordered a couple steak egg and cheese bagels for carry out this morning. When I got back to my hotel, I bit into a sandwich, and got a mouthful of packaging material. Some kind of opaque plastic sheeting. Not good. I threw away this nasty breakfast. read more

McDonald's - Plastic in my sandwich. Yuck. - Burgers Near Me - Haymarket, Virginia

Why am I charged additional $ at when ordered a breakfast meal with coffee instead of a soda. I asked other locations and they do not charge extra plus when I asked about this extra charge the employee couldn't speak English and turn my question over to a manager whom was extremely unprofessional and needs to be retrained for professionalism. This happened on Sunday morning at 10:30 am. read more

Fast food they say, wait time for ones food is a good 20-30 minutes even after ordering at the kiosk. No receipt provided by machine for an order number. Worst part after that long wait, was the order was wrong. On the ticket it had what I ordered but they missed so many items. If it was not for the fact they are so close to my house, and my cravings-i would never go back. read more

Terrible service every time I come here. Today I had ordered a Strawberry shake and a large sprite, and I waited in the curbside for over 25 minutes. I finally came in to ask them about it and overheard them sharing with another costumer that there's no ice cream. So they had me sitting in the curbside, confused and waiting instead of an employee just coming out to communicate that with me. On top of this, they never accept refunds!! Waste of money and time. read more

Other day wife ordered a McChicken sandwich which looked awful...smashed down with filling coming out, looked terrible. I ordered the McCrispy, same thing, smashed down, all the lettuce, tomato and sauce off the sandwich all over the box. The chicken was soggy and in pieces...this was less than 5 minutes after getting the bag. Fries were mostly on the bottom of the bag not in the container. Contacted customer care, they forwarded the info to the store. These people DO NOT CARE!!!!!! read more

Customer service is terrible. Ordered at 400PM for pickup and it's now 416pm. They arrived notoriously bad and give coupons like this to "make it better" but yet can't use these in the app ot get a cashier to take your order. I'd rather yall fix the problem instead of these stupid bandaid. A double cheese, fry and coke should not take 20 minutes. read more

today I just needed a quick meal to carry me over until dinner. I ordered a 10pc nugget small fry's and I wanted to try the raspberry freeze. I ordered a medium thI king that I'd get a good size of a frozen drink. nope not happening. when I was given the drink I had to ask them to confirm the medium size, then she proceeds to tell me that the small is even smaller. people fast food has gotten out of hand. do yourself a favor, go to 7/11 for your frozen drink. it's much better and you get your money's worth. no more fast food for me. how can a family of 4 afford it? read more

They don't give you what you order/pay for. Even after saying something. They don't give you your sauces. Go somewhere else

1. Forgot entire happy meal. 2. Didn't bother adding toppings to two sandwiches. I'd say 'you get what you pay for' but you don't even get that here. Why even bother. read more

I placed my order long time before I arrived the store and the order never arrived. The cashier asked the manager for help, the manager said she does not care if it's a big order and being sarcastic saying "maybe someone's bank does not have enough money". I want to preface this review by stating that I come here regularly. This morning I placed an order via the kiosk, but the card or pay at counter kiosk. I went up to the counter to pay because I only have quarters. The manager proceeded to walk me over to the kiosk and then (while yelling at me the whole time) treated me like I am stupid and helpless. I learned from my mistake, but will no longer be coming back. read more

This is the slowest, most unfriendly McDonalds I've ever been to. Avoid dining in at all costs as they seem to ignore orders placed in the lobby until their drive through line is cleared. I've never seen a more complacent group of employees. read more

Order is WRONG 90% of the time (no exaggeration). Always rushing people in the drive thru and ignore people inside. Whoever designed the renovated outside needs fired. They must have gotten their degree online, was by far the lowest bid, and must drive a '96 Ford Aspire. I can always anticipate driving away disappointed or pissed with this poor excuse for a business. read more

4 Stars is as high as I can give a fast food restaurant like McDonald's. After getting some java in the previous review (see Blackberry's), I realized I was starving - it was the second day in a row I forgot to eat breakfast - which is bad. It means that I am out and about and will end up eating something fatty and high calories - rather than a healthy, low calorie breakfast I would eat at home. It was right around noon-ish - the fastest and most available option was the McDonald's just down the street. So I made my way in. A moderate amount of folks were in here eating lunch. I ordered a #3 - Double Quarter Pounder w/Cheese and French Fries. She tried to get me to go for a large - I opted for the smallest size on the fries and drink. I sat at a table to eat my lunch. There are two CRT-style color TVs in the dining area - each with a DVD player mounted on the bottom of it. I don't remember what was playing on them - I'm guessing it was more for the kids. There was a family sitting to my right at a booth - there was a little toddler in one of those McDonald's high chairs - he was fussing and crabby - I guess they set the cardboard fries container on the tray of the high chair - because a moment later - he decided to fling the container - and French fries went everywhere! Mom did not seem to happy about this as she began cleaning up his mess... I wolfed down the rest of my food. As I was heading out the door, I noted that the place offers free Wifi - I did not see anyone in McDonald's taking advantage of it. read more

First I realize this location has had staffing issues. One morning I waited over 20 minutes as the manager was the only staff in the building. Today, there was no wait, that should have been my hint to keep driving. Instead I quickly received my sausage burritos. I drove around the corner to my work to eat them and they were so old they literally crumbled and disintegrated. There was nothing to eat! You win Haymarket, Mc'D's I won't be back! read more

The absolute slowest McDonald's in America. You can literally sit in the drive-through for 15 to 30 minutes.

I can't believe I keep ordering from this place. I guess it's Soley because my six-year-old likes the chicken nuggets. Time and time again this place fails to exceed even the lowest levels of customer service. We had food delivered tonight and the one single meal they forgot was my six-year-olds. I called McDonald's and was given the excuse "we are too busy come and get it". Thank God door dash has a great policy for refunding people. If you intend on buying McDonald's I suggest driving a couple miles up the road where they will probably get your order correct. I've written a couple other reviews about this McDonald's and probably could have written quite a few more but I'm getting tired of being a Karen over it. Get your crap together please. read more

By far the worst McDonald's on the planet. Ridiculously long wait times, always out of something, never get an order correct. Place should be shut down read more

Management in this McDonald's is really bad. Always forgets something, which could be either some sauces (which 90% they will forget) or a whole entree. When we tried to call the place to get a refund from the items they forgot, they essentially gave us the middle finger and blocked our phone number. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! read more

I ordered a medium caramel frappe and they gave me half the cup full and half whipped cream. Unbelievable. not to mention it took 20 minutes. Bad service one star. this is an outrage. I'm very disappointed in this local McDonald's could do better. read more

This McDonald's really took the fast out of fast food. We felt so bad for the manager who was the only one working his tail off to make sure everyone got their order. We waited over 30 minutes in a relatively short drive thru line (6 cars or less). They had our order ready for us once we got to the front which we were very thankful for, and the food was warm and tasty (Spicy Chicken Deluxe). The spicy sauce tasted a little funny, but you can't beat the price. read more

I generally don't mind this McDonalds. It's usually hit or miss. My experience wIth my orders and customer service via drive through is worth at least four stars unless the person taking my order hasn't had their own breakfast yet. Sometimes, I do have to order via DoorDash/GrubHub because our work schedule doesn't correlate with school and dinner time. Tonight, I ordered chicken nuggets for the kids and a Large combo meal so that I could share fries with them. This (pic) is what I received. It's barely even enough to fill a medium. This was just plain laziness and/or poor attention to detail. And before anyone jokes, I'm confidant it wasn't our DoorDash driver, Adam, because the bag was sealed LOL. And to top it all off, the large Dr. Pepper I got was nothing but carbonation. Again, attention to detail would have definitely derailed any errors when filling this simple order. read more

This McDonald's has gotten on my last nerve. I purchased the new Big Mac sandwhich w/ bacon. You are suppose to get two pieces of bacon. They took one piece of bacon broke it in half and tore the ends off of the bacon. The two pieces were no more than 2.5 inches long. I'm pissed. I know it's just bacon, but if you say two piece of bacon and not two crumbs of bacon. There was no car in front me in the drive through and I still had to wait 5mins in a parking spot to get cold fries. Not only were they cold, but the box was half full. We gave them another chance and this what we got. My wife ordered me a classic chicken sandwich and I added tomatoes/lettuce. I bit the sandwich and did not taste the lettuce or tomatoes, so I opened the sandwich and this what I found. They gave me the ends of a Roman tomato. My fries were full, so I asked my wife if she ate some of my fries. She said no, so I took a pic of the fries. Smh. This is ridiculous....... read more
