I love Jersey Mike's. They make the best chain subs with high quality ingredients and lots of flavor. BUT this outlet is terrible. They do not observe any food hygiene standards and I got sick twice before deciding never to use this particular store. The employees are out of control. The first time we came here we saw an employee entering the store at the beginning of his shift by vaulting over the counter, getting a drink, then resting his elbows on the food prep area. Stopped here on the 4th of July- a bright beautiful sunny day craving a cold sub. Having eaten at Jersey Mike's in its home state, I knew it was a good choice. I love that they have several bread choices (white, wheat, rosemary Parmesan) and sizes (mini, regular, and large) so you can really customize your sub. I went with the classic Italian , done "Mike's Way" and it was fantastic. The Restaurant was spotless and the staff was friendly & competent and service was swift. Only downside for me is I love a Diet Coke with a sub and they serve Pepsi products. I wish they would make the switch! They did have two hipster style non-Pepsi pops on the fountain (vanilla and root beer). I love that they post the calorie content for your food so you can make an informed decision. Never been to a Jersey Mikes until today. I was a bit skeptical because I read some of the previous reviews but honestly I had a great experience. This is fast food so I didn't go in expecting a 5 star meal however this place actually really surprised me. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The guy that took my order was super friendly and my order was out in less than 10 minutes. I ordered Mikes famous cheesesteak and it was so delicious! It comes with cheese, onions, and bell peppers but I also added mayo, salt/pep, and extra cheese. I'm not saying this is the best cheesesteak out there because that would be a lie. The best cheesesteaks are in Philly, however these are pretty tasty if ordered correctly. The only thing I don't really like about this place is that they don't have fries. Sad experience at Jersey Mike's today. Visiting from out of town and came into this location. All the chairs were up on tables. We asked the two workers if they were open and they just stared at us. We asked again. Got a shrug. So we ordered. Asked if we could put chairs down to sit on and got a shrug. So we did. It was really odd. Store hours showed they were open for along time afterwards... we were there at about 1:30pm... anyways, didn't tip and sand which was delicious. Great taste and made well. Stopped at Jersey Mike's in Manassas today. I've been thinking about a nice Philly Cheesesteak Sub as I haven't been there since before the Covid mess started. The store was empty inside so I walked right up and ordered. Ordered my Number 17 with no extra stuff, just peppers. Got the sub very quickly, paid and left to drive. The drive home took less than 5 minutes as I live very close, about 3 miles at the most. Sat down to eat my long overdue sub and discovered the sub was just warm but certainly not hot like it should have been if it was cooked when I ordered it. Total disaster. This place is slow as molasses no matter whether busy or not. And seems no money going into cleaning. Bathrooms closed even though it's not a super small place. Another business trying to claim "safety reasons" for having no bathroom when they really just don't want to clean them. I give this place one star for several reasons! For one I am from New Jersey, so I know what a real sub should look and taste like.. The place was clean and the staff were polite.. This is where they earned a single star.. My husband and I went there tonight 3/30/14 for dinner! For two "Giant" subs and two bags of chips - our bill was $26 and some change.. Yikes! I expect this kind of tab from a restaurant.. Not a local sub shop.. So.. I'm a vegetarian.. And here is my BIG reason for giving them one star.. As a vegetarian, it's often hard to eat out.. They had a "Veggie" option which consisted of Provolone, Swiss and Green Peppers.. Kind of a random selection.. However I was able to switch out the Swiss for American Cheese.. If I would have known that they cut their meat/cheese on the same "slicing machine".. I would have NEVER went here! In fact I would have walked out prior to ordering!! By the time I realized it, my sub was already being made so I just went along with it.. My veggie sandwich was a nice size.. However, when they cut my sub into 4 sections.. They used a knife that was sitting on the counter.. Which meant the same knife was being used for every sandwich.. Again my vegetarian sub was compromised Who knows how often it gets cleaned?!? Lastly, when I got home to eat my $10.95 sub, there were small pieces of meat reminisce hidden/stuck in between the cheese layers.. As a vegetarian.. My sub went straight into the trash can.. What a waste of money!!! My suggestion would be to have separate "slicing machines" for meats and cheeses.. And to use separate knifes for cutting meat and cheese sandwiches.. And for this.. You have lost a local customer... I would also lighten up on the oil/vinegar.. My sandwich was literally a soup sandwich.. A soggy mess! read more

Terrible. Terrible service. Terrible food. Not clean. Ugh. My mom & I ordered from here a take out order for four people. When she was giving the one guy the order, he seemed very confused so I tried to break it down for him so he wouldn't get it wrong. It was dead when we walked in as well. So he starts cooking & we sit down at the least disgusting table we could find which isn't saying much. Once it's done, we leave. When we get home everything is wrong. Literally every single sub. So we call back & get the other guy who is very confused to. Anyway, he blames it on the cook & we drive back out there. No comps are offered or anything which is absurd considering we drove thirty minutes BACK there for wrong food. Then we get back home & attempt to eat it & it's just terrible. I was just here at Jersey Mike's in Manassas. Now I am new to Jersey Mike's, but I looked at the menu and wanted a ham and provolone. And I ask them to heat it up and the guy said no, it was a cold sandwich. I ask if they had a microwave. He said no. I asked if they had a grill. (While looking at the grill) and he said yes. So I ask him to just heat the ham on the grill. He said no. Now in my opinion if would like my ham and cheese hot, and I am PAYING them for a service.... Put my ham on the grill and HEAT IT UP. He refused. I left and I won't go back. UDATE Today I called and spoke to the store manager. He also said hot sandwiches are hot and cold sandwiches are cold. It's Corporate Policy. Really? I recently stopped here for lunch because it had been 10+ years since I had eaten at Jersey Mikes and because I had a coupon. When I arrived around 12:30 nobody was in line and I was excitedly greeted by three friendly employees who seemed very eager for business. I ordered a regular turkey and provolone on wheat bread. My sub was speedily prepared before my eyes, similar to subway, just not as many topping or bread choices. The sub was very good and stuffed with turkey and plenty of cheese and fresh vegetables. I will be going back I just wish they had more choice of bread. The price is slightly higher than subway but in line with other fast casual places. I wouldn't recommend eating there because the seating area felt cramped and uninviting. Give it a try for take out. read more

I stopped by today to grab a sub, and noticed one if the counter people, a younger blond woman, heading towards the bathroom with multiple rolls if toilet paper in her hands. Thought nothing of it until she returned, walked to the box if gloves, pulled a pair out..handling the outside of gloves with her bare hands, and proceeded to grab a large roll of provolone cheese and place it on the slicer. I asked if she had just serviced the bathrooms and she said yes.. I asked why she didn't wash her hands before preparing food...her response "I didn't touch anything". But when I asked how she opened the bathroom doors she huffed and tore off her gloves and went in the back to wash her hands...yuck!!!! It's a 3-star sub shop, the food is exactly what you expect, my error was not looking at the nutrition prior to ordering... a little OCD I know, but that me.. I ordered the Chicken cheese-steak on wheat, the sub was a little too soft for my liking, everything else (including the pepper spread), was just what you would expect... My sandwich if I had gotten the mayo would have been 800 calories and 2100mg salt, there's really no need for that much sodium on anything... Proud of them for supporting local charities (our reason for eating there), and our order taker was 1st class (should've gotten his name), he deserved the Kudos... Food is always good! However, the management on the other hand, needs an improvement. GM has a serious attitude problem and isn't afraid to let customers know it. I am from Falls church va. Came to this location Bc it is close to my job. I ordered the chipotle cheese steak. Service was nice and fast..... cashier was very polite. after sitting in traffic for 1 hour waiting to get home to demolish my sub..... I come to find out that the person gave me a chicken sub and not steak. I couldn't believe it. And there was no way I was going to drive 35 mins to exchange it. When i asked for a regular sized sub the man behind the counter took a 12 inch piece of bread and cut it in half. Could not believe that a regular sub for 9 bucks was a 6 inch. I felt like i ordered a bread sandwich.. The taste over all was decent but 20 bucks for 2 sandwiches and 1 soda was crazy. I will never go back. I do a lot of traveling (including Jersey) and Jersey Mike's is my go to sub shop. It has become that in Manassas too. Clean spot, friendly staff and good quality ingredients. I'm not a steak and cheese person but their steak and cheese is exceptional. The bread, while better than most, isn't quite what you'd find in the NY/NJ region but then again I haven't found any bread outside of there that is as good as NY/NJ. If you like a hearty sub with good ingredients then this is the place for you. read more
