Our coworker loves to make suggestions to us for local to Manassas eats. House of Philly was the…read moresuggestion of the week and it was so stuck in my husband's head we were so excited to stop by after mass. The suggestion SPECIFICALLY was for the cheesesteak sub, but of course we had to get more than that! My hubs opted for the supreme cheesesteak in the 16''. The supreme comes with mushrooms, peppers, mayo, and cheese and is honestly 2 subs in one large container! My hubs was so happy and I had a bite and totally agreed it was delicious. With plenty of leftovers for tomorrow's lunch this is a meal we will totally have again! I ordered the Hawaiian Stromboli and 10 wings. The extra hot sauce on the wings were so so tasty, and the ranch was homemade!!! So delicious I wish I ordered more. The Stromboli came in 2 sizes and I got the "regular" which is a medium pizza crust made into a moon. I ate half and also have leftovers for tomorrow I'm excited about. The restaurant is located in Manassas and had a hole in the wall vibe with decent seating and a fridge of cold sodas. The lady at the register was so friendly and lovely. The family establishment was so endearing and the smell of the fresh dough filled the room. This restaurant was an awesome suggestion and worth your support and patronage. It's like an authentic and freshly made "paisanos" or at least all the things we wish paisanos could amount to. The menu is expansive, from pasta, to subs, to classic appetizers and salads. There is absolutely something, if not multiple things, for everyone. We will absolutely be back!

The pieces tasted bone-dry and unseasoned, like they'd never seen a buttermilk marinade. Worse, the oil situation was a mess: burnt crumbs clinging to every piece of chicken and the waffle fries, with that unmistakable smell of oil that's been pushed way past its lifespan. After a 20-minute wait, the chicken had an odd, stale towel funk that shouldn't exist anywhere near a fryer. For over $50 (eight pieces, two sides, three cornbreads, and a sandwich but no drinks), that's unacceptable. The mac and cheese tasted like it came from a Kraft box, and even the mashed potatoes were flat and underseasoned. It was Saturday at 8pm prime dinner rush, and the place had maybe four other customers while nearby restaurants were packed. That's not a coincidence. Only three months in and the kitchen's already cutting corners in ways that'll catch up fast. The cashier was genuinely helpful and the dining room was clean, but front-of-house can't save what's coming out of the back. When your chicken smells off and your fry oil's that far gone, you're not just disappointing people, but you're flirting with real problems. Takeaway: Skip it. There are too many better options in the area to settle for this. The empty dining room on a Saturday night should tell you everything you need to know.

Second, the execution of some signature fried dishes lacked consistency; the famous Signature Fried Chicken could sometimes taste dry and tough, while the macaroni and other snacks failed to leave a particularly memorable impression. Finally, the service tended to struggle to keep up during peak hours.

We all agree on 2 thumbs up across the board for decor and ambiance. It was giving industrial-NYC-Soho vibes. Quite impressive for Main Street Manassas. Timing was everything ... we were too early for the dinner crowd and just missed the lunch rush so the parking Gods were on our side ... we snagged a spot right in front of the restaurant. Stephen was a gracious server / bartender to our wee little party of 3. The beers were cold and the Cadillac Margarita was decent. The Rueben and bbq wings were raved about (especially the bbq sauce ... it was legendary)! Unfortunately, the salmon bites and the pork belly deviled egg appetizers were soooo salty and just not edible. Also $15 was diabolical for the portion size of the salmon bites. (Pic attached) I've paid that for a full bourbon glazed salmon meal with rice and veggies. Not a deal breaker. Would most def return to try other app / entree / summer cocktail options. Looking forward to hearing YOUR opinion. When you go, tell them you saw it on yelp.
