Complaint: racist remarks…read more Overheard one of the two cashiers after having an argument over a coupon with a man say after he left "it's just these foreign men have no respect for American woman and imagine how they treat their own women" "they are just always so rude". This is blatantly stereotyping and a micro aggression not to mention plenty of people of all backgrounds get upset over coupon rules and what is and isn't a coupon. It is just upsetting to stereotype when lots of people have done this. I hope this store learns to stop saying such things behind people's backs.

The town was cute, and being from a small town myself, I really enjoyed the history I was able to take in... which brings me to Blake Pharmacy. This pharmacy has been in the Blake family for many, many years, and while it has many charms that you expect to see in a small town pharmacy such as a soda fountain. RadioShack, friendly people, and regular drug store items. I was told they have added some high-tech automation to serve the customers better. At this point, a few things probably caught your eye...soda fountain and RadioShack. I took a lot of photos. I thought RadioShack had closed but not in an aisle here. We even found a really cool speaker system that is from RadioShack, which is the perfect birthday present. The soda fountain even has some food, and I tried the pimento cheese that is made fresh each morning, and it was very good. They eat it with potato chips, which is strange to me because I would choose crackers, but hey, they also love Skyline Chili, so...um... I'm kidding!! Anyway, if you find yourself in West Union Oh-hi-a (as they say it there), stop in, grab a shake at the sofa fountain, and sit and people watch... then go to the Blake Hallmark Store next door.

They carry alot of random drug store items that have nothing to do with medicine, like blankets, candles, shirts ect, but also have a large selection of home nursing equiment. It's nice and air-conditioned inside with a very clean store space. It even smells clean here. My rx is always filled very quickly, often given priority in the line (since I wait in store). The waiting area is small but comfy (4 seats) but no worries on the seating, I've never seen anyone left standing. If I had tho I can almost bet they would pull a chair out from the back to accommodate everyone. Super friendly staff, and they treat you like a human being i.e. remembering you, knowing your needs ect. I'll of course keep returning. I just wish this was a little closer to my home.
