I went to this CVS Pharmacy for a vaccine. I made my appointment in advance. When I got there, they said it was not with the Pharmacy but the "Minute Clinic" inside the CVS store. That is when the confusion began. I had an 11am appointment. I tried to check in at 10:45 but I was not allowed, had to wait until 10:50. So I waited until 10:50 and checked in. I sat and waited until 11:29. I said to myself that if I am not served by 11:30 I am leaving. But, finally, at 11:29 I was called in. The nurse asked why I was there. I had already indicated all of that information when I made my appointment on the CVS website. But, the CVS data base does not interface with Minute Clinic. What? So I explained why I was there. The nurse asked which shot in the series I needed. I did not know, I suggested to look it up in the CVS database. That is when I found out that CVS and the Minute Clinic do not share information. All of this makes no sense. The nurse called the Pharmacy, which had told me they do not give the shot I needed, to find out what I needed. I finally got my shot and left at about 11:50. So much for the "minute clinic." My conclusions are: 1. Do not expect fast service at Minute Clinic. It's a misleading name. There is nothing "minute" about it. 2. If you want a record of what shots you have received at CVS, go to a CVS Pharmacy. Do not go to Minute Clinic because they know nothing and cannot access your records. I still do not understand if the clinic is part of CVS or not. If so, the fact that medical records are not shared is simply stupid. read more

Worst Pharmacy EVERE! People with large attitudes treating everyone like they were stupid. Gave them HOURS to fill a prescription, were told it was in process. Showed up an hour later - nothing was ready. Excuses all over of being over whelmed with orders - SO WHY TELL US IT WAS IN PROCESS. Had to go here because our normal Walgreens was out of a medication. We were given the 3rd degree as to why we're picking up the prescription there. CVS has a new "NO PHONE CALLS" policy. You can be dying in a ditch at the side of the road and CVS refuses to answer the phone. Instead, they have a new voicemail system where you leave your number and they will call you back not at YOUR convenience but at THEIR convenience. And it is true, when you're in the middle of doing something with both hands full, the phone rings and it's CVS returning your call. How sweet of them. It's IMPOSSIBLE to call the store and get a live human being at this point. And all the stores do the same thing with the same voicemail. You CANNOT reach a human being unless you get out and drive to the store. read more

I've been filling my prescriptions at this location for several years. Each and every time I get a new prescription they tell me oh your insurance denied this drug. I chalked it up to the crazy insurance regulations these days. Well come to find out today they just don't take my insurance at CVS. This is a horrible business practice! I'm completely shocked and appalled that this is there business practice. I was misled and have been paying retail for my prescriptions for many years! I hope this review helps somebody else out. I'm honestly pretty shocked at the low rating for this CVS. I've visited a couple times over the years, and this location is one of the most efficient in my opinion. First, let me shout out the Minute Clinic here. Nurse Practitioners don't get enough credit! I've had to use this service a couple of times over the past year when my PCP couldn't see me the next day. Both times, I was treated with kindness from the staff, and my meds were ready within 30 minutes of the end of my appointment. Overall the store is clean, I get a kind greeting every time I walk in, and the pharmacy is open for 24 hours. Can't really ask for more than that. read more

This pharmacy has handled the change of insurance process miserably twice in the 3 years I've been using it They have billed an old insurance that has not been in use for over 7 years. Then, when I went onto Medicare, I had to go in person and make at least 4 phone calls to correct my insurance information which another tech happily took over the phone. All my refills were billed AGAIN to an old insurance carrier I had not used in 7 years. I was told I had to come again in person when the correct information was now in the computer . I took the pharmacy techs name and will write a letter to the corporate office. These are not complicated issues and to encounter a surly disrespectful pharmacy employee causes lack of trust from CVS as a company. read more

Think twice to choose CVS in general, but definitely this location. If you are truly sick and rely on your medication, you cannot rely on service what so ever! They will likely to treat you badly even for asking for help. And they will not work with you to solve the problem, and treat you as you are their problem. I had clear instructions from my doctors office on a Sunday!!!! After going back and forth several times, fighting for my medication. And they still say it's not true and they don't have instructions on documentation. It is just a nightmare and way too often. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Been using this pharmacy since 1995. Used to be great. Pharmacy staff has gone so down hill I'm forced to change Pharmacy. I was prescribed 3 month supply of medication by my doctor. When my husband got home with one. I went back up there and a Hispanic woman who was very abrupt and rude said they only gave me one because there is a shortage.I asked why I was charged the same as 3 months. Supply. She replied it was the insurance. When I asked why I was not notified. She said why didn't I bring it up when medication was picked up. I explained my husband picked it up. She just couldn't be bothered. Such a shame. I see why this pharmacy have such high turnover overs of pharmacy staff. I have already called CVS customer relations and reported this but I wanted to leave this review, as well. The last several months since moving to the area I've come to this pharmacy, regrettably. over that time I have seen the pharmacy staff act unprofessionally and honestly deplorably towards customers. Out of the several things I have seen happen to other customers while waiting in line are these two that really stand out to me: In short- a man was there to pick up a prescription that he was showing was at that location. The woman helping was being incredibly flippant and sarcastic towards him for no reason and said "well you're the one who can't figure out what pharmacy you sent it to, how is that my problem?" And she walked off. I actually walked up to the gentleman and asked "did she really just say that to you?" And he said yes. The female staff member and the customer continue to go back and forth- and really mainly the female staff member egging it on and continuing it by being incredibly antagonistic. The male pharmacist then also got involved and started smart mouthing the customer! the customer said he was never returning (I don't blame him) and the male pharmacist said a flippant remark to him saying he didn't care and good riddance. As the customer was walking off, the female staff member adds insult to injury and yells out "GOOD BYYYYEEE!!!" It was incredibly immature and I definitely got secondhand embarrassment watching her. the customer was never abusive, rude nothing. I felt he was actually quite composed dealing with the incredibly antagonistic and sarcastic female staff member . What an embarrassment. Second situation, an elderly woman was picking up a medication for someone else, a man. The female staff member helping her was actually very nice and helpful. She told the customer her total and the customer was a little shocked at the price and seemed mildly confused . The female staff member stated "are you sure it's more than last time? This is for a 90 day supply, did you get a 30 day supply last time, maybe? Let me go check on this for you." -totally reasonable- but the blonde staff member at the window said very loud and VERY sarcastic "for a 90 day supply?!?! That sounds like a good deal to me!!!" It was, so obviously sarcastic and just frankly, so unwarranted. What's the point of that? How is that helpful? To an elderly woman questioning a price? I was so embarrassed (secondhand embarrassed) and it honestly took everything in me to not step forward and call that blonde out. These are just two incidents , I won't go through them all. For me personally, 70% of the staff are miserable , are not helpful, definitely have the attitude of "it's not my problem it's yours". They are not friendly or warm, they are cold, shut down, and distant. They do not want to be there. They are very rude honestly and it makes me feel sorry for them because how miserable does one have to be to Be so cold and rude at work. Sad. I feel sorry for these staff members misery but mainly more for the customers. half the time the pharmacy doesn't have my medication. Which I never got overly upset about - But when I called other pharmacies , they all had it. Idk why I continued to go here, probably because I didn't want to move the scripts over - I just wanted to get my refills. But the last straw for me, I came in to pick up a 30 day supply prescription. They only had 10 on hand. I asked if I could have the 10 and get the rest when they get it in. The pharmacist agreed. After that, I called in for the rest, they filled it. I got home... only ten were in the bottle lol. jeeZ... the Incompetence astounds me. I called back and left a voicemail (they NEVER answer the phone, ever) asking for the REST of the REST of my refill lol. I got a call back saying they couldn't fill the rest until a certain date! haha! No apology , no sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. Just "we won't be able to fill the rest until the 19th". customer relations even agreed this is ridiculous... there's no difference between giving me the rest of the rest of my refill (lol) today or the day it shouldve Been put in my bottle. so now, I have to go back up to the pharmacy for a third time , for one 30 day supply refill. I've shopped at this store since it opened many years ago. Although it is the closest one to me, it is my favorite. I think it is the best of the local CVS stores. Many, many times, I've had clerks and pharmacists stop and take care of me. The CVS App makes refills very easy. It texts you and they do all the work with the doctor for refills. The 24 hour drive through line to pick up and drop off prescriptions is an absolute great feature! I can venture out in my car despite looking horrible/ feeling nasty and get what I need to get well. Thus you feel better not having to see me! It is also great as it minimizes me contaminating others with my horrible germs. The clerks at the counters always treat me with respect and care. They seem genuinely interested in me having a pleasant shopping experience. This location has plenty of close parking (something you appreciate when you are hobbling around in pain). It has a good variety of food and household product along with a great selection of greeting cards, health and beauty aids and seasonal items. I think it is a better value for most items than the online giant. This is my go to for cards, Easter Candy and deodorant. But seriously, when you feel like crap, you can get all you need right in one stop and then go home to binge watch TV until you get well. read more

I had rib pain so when I went to get tested for another illness, I asked the doctor to look at it. She did not even touch my skin. All she gave me was words of advice. This conversation lasted all of 5 minutes and she has charged me $100 for a moderate visit. I've been here twice for Moderns boosters. Always need an appointment. First time it was total chaos and I wasn't taken in order but had to wait until the end of the line (far beyond my scheduled time.). Today is 2nd booster. No other customers at the pharmacy. The staff totally ignored my presence at the window for several minutes while they joked and laughed. Finally, slurping on her iced tea, one of the women says nonchalantly, "Have you been helped?" Who would have helped me? No. Do ou have an appointment? So she checks me in and says they'll take me in turn. In fairness, I'm about 20 minutes early. Pretty sure they're going to make me wait again. My CVS on Gaston is so much better. I'll do Pfizer in future in order to see them. Effed up computer system that did not recognize customers. At front register, a computer system so conformed as to disallow a simple inventory search for a common household product unless I had the SKU. I only go here because it is open 24 hours! The pharmacy staff are the rudest bunch of people. I have been in customer service for 30+ years and understand how to treat people. The feeling you get from the staff when you approach the counter or even in the drive thru, is a feeling of pure hate of their jobs. The flippant and "put-out" vibe you feel is evident. I have not said any reviews but after going there early Christmas eve morning to pick up my simple prescription, I felt I have put up with ENOUGH of the attitude from these people and someone needs to say something. I have seen how they treat others and need to let it out. I hope the person who trains these jerks gets fired. He or she is doing a disservice for all who works and goes there. Be kind!!! This place is something else...I had two prescriptions sent over from another location as they were out of tamiflu for my son. I went to pick up and they did not receive the fax, which is understandable, but when I requested for the pharmacist to check on it, he printed me 5 pages of cvs locations to find the one to call! Once I called, they faced over the missing prescription and took about 15 minutes to fill. I picked up, paid, went home and proceeded to give the dose when I noticed the pharmacist added the medication in powder form and never added the water as instructed! I have never dealt with more unprofessional and insulting people in my entire life, from now on I will be taking ALL of my business to Walgreens! read more

I've been using this CVS forever to get prescriptions filled/refilled. I used to live closer, but it's still pretty convenient to me. Recently I've been in a couple of times to get some allergy meds. I rarely have to wait long to drop off prescriptions since I'm already in the computer system. They fill prescriptions really fast too while you wait. I wouldn't say the people that work behind the counter are the friendliest, but that seems par for course with that line of work. And I'm just there to drop off and pick up and they get the job done. I went to the minute clinic today. I've never gone to this CVS so it was a first. The wait was pretty long which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 starts. Other than that, the Nurse Practitioner was awesome. My new job required a TB test and I was able to get it done there for $39. She also noticed I had a burn on my arm and helped me with that without me having to ask. I live near a Walgreens and they didn't have any of the ointments or spray I tried to find when I burned myself curling my hair. But this CVS has everything on their shelves. Both name brand and CVS brand (Walgreens seems to only have Walgreens brand). read more

For so many reasons, hands down the worst pharmacy. I was using Kroger down the street and only switched because the price was considerably higher. Whoops. They've literally never done anything regarding my prescriptions right since November. Here are a few examples. 1) Get called to come pick up prescription. When I arrive they haven't filled it, sorry we're out. What? 2) Text and phone call alerts that auto-refills are available. I only have 2 scripts there. Go in to pick them up, get home and see they only refilled one. Call back (wait on hold for 15 minutes) and they don't have it on file. What? Thankfully I found the original bottle with script #. Call back. Oh yeah, that is on your account. What? 3) I dropped off 2 scripts with 3 refills. About time for the 2 refill on each, I'm shocked that they don't have it on file. What? 4) Request the pharmacy to contact my doctor for refills through their website. A week later, either nothing has been done or the doc isn't refilling it for some reason. Pharmacist Farrell Fort is absolutely awful. He seems to have a personal vendetta of some kind, or at a minimum a strong prejudice. I'm not sure if it's the way I look, or the way I speak, or what I'm asking for at the pharmacy counter. This is the 2nd time I've had the same experience with this gentleman. My wife and I are trying to have another child, and I'm undergoing treatment at a mens' clinic for infertility. A part of that prescribed treatment is an hcg subcutaneous injection at home each day via a very small insulin needle, sold in packs of 10 at local pharmacies. I have this hcg prescription filled at the clinic itself, but they are out of stock of insulin needle/syringe combos. Despite explaining this, and explaining there is no law prohibiting the sale of these insulin needle/syringe combos, he refused to allow the pharmacy tech to ring me up for them. In fact I've scoured CVS' policies for anything about this personal policy of Mr. Fort's; I have found nothing. I've also called into CVS for help, and they assured me this should not be the case for a 29g needle or less and 1mL or less. What's funny to me is that I drove less than a mile to the next CVS and had no problem purchasing these syringe combos. Thank you Mr. Fort for the unnecessary, but amusing comedic relief calling me a "juicehead". It seems nature nor pharmacist wants us to have that 2nd baby! read more

This is the Jekyll & Hyde CVS. If you get the A-team, it's a very good pharmacy. Any other letter, you may be in trouble. Far enough down the alphabet and you get the slow-motion team others have referenced. Some of the practices are just insane. My wife can only take liquid medications. Apparently, these are mixed when you arrive to pick them up. Why ask when I want it ready if you're not starting on it until I arrive? More importantly, why does it take three people almost an hour to open a bottle, add some water and shake? This makes no sense to me. Did the pharmacist miss the "add water" class? Most of the time, this is a good pharmacy. However, if you see more than two people in the line at the pharmacy counter, come back after shift change. read more

The function of a pharmacy is to provide medications. That's it. This pharmacy consistently fails to meet its core function. For the past year and a half this pharmacy has failed to provide my prescription medication on time. This failure has forced me to miss doses no matter how hard I've tried to inform the pharmacy that my refill is coming due. This is completely unacceptable. I was lied to by the pharmacist about the availability of tamiflu. He claimed there was a city-wide shortage and that my family, sick with the flu, should wait 3 days for tamiflu. (Which would render it ineffective). Everyone else in town was out of it too. It turns out my simple phone call to the Walgreens down the street showed tamiflu was in abundance. I'm surprised that a pharmacist would lie about the availability of a drug to make a sale. read more

She did not acknowledge me at all just went straight for the two other people whi clearly arrived after i had already been standing there. I have been coming to this CVS for over 15 years. I had to call the pharmacy yesterday because the prescription I had picked up in the drive through was wrong. It's a medicine I have taken for many years on the advice of our Rheumatologist who has always prescribed it for me, same dose etc. On this particular day the dosage was different so I called the pharmacy thinking they must have made a mistake, no big deal. I spoke to the pharmacist who explained to me in the rudest, most condescending way possible that it was the prescription that my doctor had called in and maybe she was trying to wean me off this medication and hung up on me. Really rude. This is not the first time I have experienced this with him and I have heard him speak to other customers in that manner too. First of all, I am not a drug addict and certainly should never be talked to like I am. I am a 60 year old woman with severe arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I take pain medication as needed. The dosage was different on my medication so I asked about it. That's it. I am a nice person and know most of the employees there because we are there frequently and I have never had an issue with anyone. He has no people skills, no personality and continuously makes you feel like you are imposing on him by asking a question about anything or just needing to check out. I do not remember his name. I had him on speaker phone when I called yesterday and after I hung up everyone in my house commented on how rude he was. So whoever it was that worked on May 5, 2021 around 5pm needs to work on his customer service skills or work somewhere else. read more
