Costco's a great place to work! They start you off with a solid hourly rate, you move up quickly, and yes--they get a free executive membership and that sweet 2% check like the rest of us. I've seen way worse places to work, trust me. Now let's talk about the card scanning drama. Yes, you need to scan your membership card when you enter. And I don't get why people complain about it. I have mine ready right after I park--because spoiler alert: you'll need it again when you pay. I'd rather you fumble for your card at the door than hold up the self-checkout line while juggling a watermelon and a rotisserie chicken. Just be prepared. You scan your card at the gym, at your building, at your office--why is Costco suddenly the villain? Parking used to be a nightmare, I won't lie. But since they changed their hours for executive members, I roll in at 9 AM like royalty. Park right by the door, barely anyone inside, and I skip self-checkout because--guess what--there are no lines. Ahhh, what a perfect way to start the day. Just plan better, folks. That's all I'm saying. My go-to items? Fresh spinach, Brussels sprouts, oranges, lemons, heavy cream, water, wild blueberries, pumpkin seeds, and beets. Oh--and the 50-pound bag of flour. I bake like a maniac. Bread for days. Bargain of the century. We hit up the food court too--hot dogs, chocolate cookies, and the ice cream? Shut up and take my money :) Now let's talk customer service: impeccable. The other day I noticed one of the fruits in the bag had gone bad (that I bought a little bit ago from Costco)--not old, just unlucky. I stopped by at the customer service counter on my way out to ask what the protocol was. The employee refunded me on the spot. No receipt, no return, no photo evidence. I even told him I wasn't asking for a refund, just curious. He said, "That's what we do for our members." And just like that--day made. So yes, I'll be back. Trust me. Me and my 29 year old baby went to this beauty of a store. She was not watching her feet when walking, she fell into a small pothole. It was not serious, it just hurt a little. Please make sure to keep your parking lot safe! The food is yummy and cheap and they have a nice selection of food items in bulk. Staff seems normal, not happy or sad. I come here regularly for my go-to staples: bottled water, paper products, allergy meds, snacks, cheese, gas, and a nice bottle of wine or two. The prices are fair, the quality is good, and I genuinely align with Costco's business values--especially how they treat employees and pass savings along to customers. My least favorite Costco, and the Tire Center is an abomination. The 7pm appointment meant nothing - my car wasn't taken in until 8:40pm. Their tire services aren't really that much cheaper than Discount Tire, which is probably where I'll end up going from now on. I never thought I would be a COSTCO member, let alone executive member. I bought a Sony TV and it was the best deal! I am hoping to retrieve back 3% hopefully. This is because I was just a regular member and then upgraded a couple days later but it was after the fact I already bought the TV. I did submit a ticket to see if it was possible but they did say it was highly unlikely. Guess you never know until you try. Costco can be very overwhelming especially going on a Sunday afternoon like everyone else trying to restock for the week. I have only been here on Sundays and its always so crazy and crowded. This Costco is literally my second home. Is where I buy 75% of my groceries and shopping. Some of my friends say this is where I go out to the club. Costco does a great job in customer service and a clean environment. They typically have sales on much needed products and are always great about returns and other items. Costco is a great deal. I have been a fan of this place ever since I lived in Hawaii where gas on island was pretty much double what it was at Costco. That alone was enough to pay me back for the cost of my membership and then some. It is also a fantastic place to get the $1.50 hotdog and a soda deal. It's the cheapest meal on the islands! Ten years later, and that price hasn't changed. It's still the best deal no matter where you are in the US, and unbeknownst to many, you don't need a membership to get that hotdog deal. With just my husband and me in the household, it's hard to justify buying most things in bulk, but stuff like toilet paper, paper towels, dog food, and shampoo and conditioner are worth picking up here. I like purchasing items like wine, milk, eggs, grape tomatoes and avocados here too. We actually eat these items even though some of them come in bulk packaging. They never go to waste. We frequently purchase the ready-to-cook salmon here too. Things I absolutely love about this place: (1) Good quality - items are not top of the line, but they are bottom of the barrel either. Everything has a decent level of quality. If for some reason you aren't satisfied, it is easy to return things. (2) Good value - prices are generally comparable to other items in the marketplace, but you will get more for your buck at Costco. 3) They treat their employees right. They get a living wage, health care, and holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving off. Now there are some painful things too. (1) I recommend staying away from shopping here on Sundays. The place is a madhouse! The best time to come is probably Tuesday morning at 10 AM. Parking is always busy. Just accept that you will need to park far away and walk. (2) You do have to show your Costco card every time you buy gas or items inside the store. It's sometimes a pain to dig through my purse to find it. (3) They are pretty strict on what form of payment they accept. For the longest time, they only took AMEX. Now, you have to have a Visa card. You can also pay with a debit card, but remember, you probably will never have receipt less than $100. Little known secret...newer stores are being made with even larger aisles and even wider shopping carts. Like the gas pumps. There's an AT&T stand with sales reps. Store is so big it can be tiring finding what you want. There is the online store and you don't have to be a member for some online items or the on-site liquor store or food court. I don't like the pizza. Too much bread, too much grease. For a while there they didn't have condiments for hot dogs. $5 whole roasted is a good deal. It's at the back of the store so you have to traipse all the way back there and get exposed to what you probably weren't looking for. Staff is courteous. BTW, they don't call it "The Hundred Dollar Store" for nothing. You are going to drop at least a Benjamin every time you go in. read more

I came along with a family member who is a Costco member, I am not. They were filling a pet prescription. I noticed a display for other pet meds like Heartgard, Trifexis, Nexgard, Bravecto, etc. I checked the price of Heartgard since I need to get this for my pup in the next couple of weeks and it is half price from what my vet charges! I bought a few grocery items that were great deals and great products: cherries, sliced cheese tray, brazil nuts and plackers dental picks. I bought a pair of Skechers shoes that I ended up returning the following day, with no issues (since I'm not a member). They were able to credit back to my Visa card. I have been a loyal Sam's Club member for 25 years, so I like to check out Costco over the years just to compare the products and prices they both offer. I don't feel the need to get a Costco membership. One thing I didn't like is how they harass you when walking in to see your Costco card and again at the checkout self service line. Sam's previously did this at the entrance before the pandemic and haven't resumed doing this as yet, which is great! I was able to get a written prescription from my vet for Heartgard and filled it the following day. I was able to purchase a 12 month supply for $102.55! My vet charges approximately this amount for a six month supply. That's a 50% savings! I find that both Costco and Sam's offer very similar products for similar prices. The gas prices are great at both places. It comes down to location and convenience for me, so I'll be staying with Sam's but enjoy the occasional trip to Costco. read more

In my native area the Costco Warehouses are much more nicely maintained. This one not so much. For instance I saw numerous piles of empty boxes in several areas of the sales floor. One thing you can count on though is cheaper gas and the famous $1.50 hot dog and drink. Even that was diminished by the lack of attention to the condiments area. Costco is one of my favorite place, so it's REALLy hard to not go straight for the 5 star "Gimmie what ya got for a pork chop" rating!!! I like this location, tucked away and hidden from passerbys! You have to know this location is here, like knowing a secret hiding spot. I love that it's close to where my mom lives, I can grab her some flowers, wine, and a treat just because! And I have been here multiple times...MULTIPLE, I tell ya! This location is smaller than others, no liquor sales (that one is in Plano, TX), but all your staple items are here in those wonderful wide isles. And if you know me you know I just LOVES ALL the people! But man, I wonder if Costco employee rejects go here. If you work here, I mean absolutely NO disrespect. Truly. I don't. Yet, this location has an abundance of "not so pleasant" employees. There are way more rudes here than I've ever seen, and if you look at my receipts I go to Costcos pretty much everywhere. So...I dunno what happened here. If someone treats you bad, you need a day off, someone needs a hug, or whatevs...but please be kind to us shoppers. We be struggling, too! The Tire Center sucks; Had an appointment for four to get my tires rebalanced because they did them incorrectly to the point the vehicle was shaking. By 5:40 the guy said I was second in line- so what's the point of making an appointment. The guy at the front desk tried to say it could be this or that but I had just got new tires from them and they balanced them. The front right tire had 5 ounces in it which is crazy. Then he says the wheel could be bent, so why couldn't they check to see if it was the first time I was here. Not a huge fan of Costco or any place that requires you to wait on line THREE TIMES per visit. First I'm stuck waiting behind some people being forced to show their Costco ID to the bouncer on the way IN. Where's the velvet rope? What is this? The freaking Tunnel or Limelight? I'm still waiting for my handstamp or bracelet. If an ID is required at checkout then I'm not sure why an ID is required to get in. And haven't certain people already decided that requiring photo ID is discriminatory? I mean, we don't even need a photo ID to vote but we need one to shop at Costco?? Well I guess everyone knows which one is more important. Second, I have to wait in a huge line to check out. Even if I only purchased ONE item!! Even though there are self-checkout lines, there's no EXPRESS LANE! Sometimes I come here to purchase a single rotisserie chicken for dinner, but buying one item turns into a 40 minute hassle! Where is the SINGLE CHICKEN LANE?? And why do I need to scan my ID card again when I already had to show it when I walked in?? Finally, and perhaps most frustratingly, is the line to LEAVE the store. What is this -- the Hotel California? You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave?? I'm telling you...it's like Fort Knox to get in and Alcatraz to get out! I've already waited in two lines -- one to prove I'm a member and another to pay for my merchandise. Now I'm stuck on perhaps the LONGEST LINE of them all -- the SHOPLIFTING LINE aka the receipt check. Sure, Costco claims that the receipt check is to ensure you received the items you paid for. Yeah, ok. Sure. That's why they scan five random items from everyone (except me with the single chicken). At the very least, have an EXPRESS SHOPLIFTING LINE for idiots like me that are now waiting 15 minutes to leave the store holding a steaming hot rotisserie chicken in my melting fingers after putting the receipt Godknowswhere only to be asked to prove that I spent an hour at Costco to save $2 on a chicken I could've bought at Walmart down the street. This location NEEDS Off Duty Law Enforcement to help navigate the parking Lot Chaos! We hate to say this but once our membership that we have continued to renew for over 20 years expires we are NO longer renewing especially for this Dallas location! We continue to have stressful shopping experiences here at the Churchill Way, Dallas location and keeps getting worse. This Sunday was out of control and outrageous that did it for us! If anyone wants to ever know or feel what a breakdown in civility would ever be in a controlled non-emergency event go visit this Costco on Any given weekend and then try to change my mind than it's not complete total chaos there, from the outside just entering the parking lot, parking then navigating the isles and checkout, then trying to leave your parking space to exit. This review is in no way a ding on the employees they are great and helpful when you can find one not having to check out the masses of people at the check out lines. Just to get people out quicker! I think the city should be notified and fire marshal for what I feel is way too many people inside this warehouse at one time especially when the entire parking lot is full and In a full chaotic mess. If anything ever happened inside that forced a quick evacuation it would be a total disaster as there way to many people inside where you can't hardly move your basket around without almost running into someone or being hit yourself and Everyone cuts you off with total dis-regard. This is both outside in the parking lot and just trying to navigate inside while trying to shop. They have to be exceeding over occupancy? They should have off duty law enforcement outside helping direct traffic and the idiots that just walk in front of cars cutting them off or preventing them from entering or exiting a parking space, this is a real potential area of danger or accident waiting to happen if they haven't already. What really did it for my wife and I this weekend is that we saw an elderly lady in the frozen vegetable/ fruit section almost in tears standing with her basket afraid to move! She was totally frozen in fear she would be hit or cut off by the people who are only self centered about their wants while shopping here. It seems that post covid, people have lost their social skills completely, self centered, no patience and unaware of their surrounding as long as they get what they need only. She asked us to help her get out, we helped the lady with her cart to get her close to the check out line to pay. Nobody saw this lady or thought she needed help, it was so sad but we are much younger and felt the stress of being here as well. Somebody ran into the back of me with their cart and another just flat out walked into me because the idiot was walking and Looking at his phone, no apology! Sorry to say, but there was a day being a member of Costco was luxury that you would feel special to be a member, shop where the masses didn't or couldn't for various reasons and they had great deals with really no competition other than Sam's. Now Costco is worse than going to Walmart, it's crazy to get parking and inside will stress you out with rude customers who cut in line, cut you off, leave their carts in the middle of the isle while they look and hold up the masses of people behind them, the hits keep coming of rude people. Sam's has many more locations, same great deals and they are never slammed wall to wall with just consumers OVER consuming, Costco shoppers act as if the word is coming to an end!! 5/13/24 - Roach found in the food court, between the soda machine and entrance to the kitchen. I asked for a refund before I received my food, although when the lady who helped me was told there was a roach. All she said was "oh". Literally all she said and initiated the refund. I went to card member service's and spoke to a man who handles customer complaints and informed him of the roach found at the food court. He was more attentive and apologized. He thanked me for the information and went to the food area to look into it. Whether this issue has been resolved, I have no idea. But I suppose I will leave this here until this location can confirm whether this has been addressed. So until then, ask for the off menu roach pizza. read more

Woman at front seat was rude and indiffernt. They set out hearing aids on the counter as if they are to view the different types. When I picked up one to view the woman "Christina Kalathara" said "stealing of frowned upon." I was taken aback. I spoke with the manager who said that shouldn't have happened and would address it. The guy in the hearing booth never tested my hearing and said it was "borderline" whether I needed hearing aids (based on hearing exam I took in). He acted like he didn't want to be bothered. Over the past few months, I have been told by my Subaru car dealer and a reputable tire company that you have heard tell me that I needed to look to purchase a "new set" of tires for the car. They both gave me prices. I decided to check on tire costs with Costco. I purchased a new set of tires, which are priced less than the others. The tires needed to be ordered. They would call when they arrived for installation. They called and I went in this past Wednesday. I asked the attendant if they would please check the tread wear before installation, just to make sure I needed the new tires. They did so and said that I had approximately 10k miles before I needed a new set. I decided to take their advice. They gave me an instant return credit on the tires that I had purchased. We brought some drinks to the register exactly as it was shelved (two packs of the same flavor), but our cashier Pat insisted strongly that the pack is only allowed to be two different flavors, not two of the same. Having just picked up what was on the shelf we were a bit confused. The floor manager was standing nearby, and she tried to check this with him, and he told her that the verbiage would have to be very specific on the shelf to warrant her not allowing us to buy something from the shelf as it was shelved. But she pushed it anyway, which was very awkward for us, as we then had to wait in line for several minutes as a Costco associate had to run back and swap out the drinks we wanted for a different set that had the drinks we didn't want. We had mostly gotten over it until we got all the way through the line to exit just to get stopped while they were scanning our receipt and the receipt checker notices our cashier failed to scan anything we had on the tray underneath. So we had to wait at the exit on a busy Saturday for several minutes AGAIN, while a Costco associate ran back and charged us for the everything at the bottom of the cart. That single cashier took a good trip and made it quite frustrating. If this were any other industry, these flubs would have resulted in some sort of concession or apology. I hate to leave a negative review but we had a quite frustrating experience when there didn't need to be one. I tried to leave direct feedback on the Costco website but they haven't updated it to have our location yet. I don't think this experience is typical but I wanted their management to be aware of it. read more

Golly gee wiz I was thrilled to find out Sam's Club's biggest competitor was coming to my neck of the woods! I walked in with my mother to order a cake for my 1 year old's birthday party. This African American lady in the bakery offered her assistance with a smile. We found out her name was Caroline, noooo I thinking Catherine,....well.....maybe it was Cathleen....one of those names, I'm not sure, but she sure was mighty helpful in going out of her way to meet our needs. This sugary treat (I hope my teeth dont fall out, lol) turned out exactly as I had expected. My "Feenie" man was ecstatic and tore into it immediately after it's arrival. Thank you Costco for making my 12 month old a very happy boy! read more

Nothing spectacular about this location. So damn crowded. I would give it more stars but the two times I have been here the same "supervisor" in the self checkout is too busy chatting and gossiping hes not working. The lines are too damn long. If I can get out faster in the regular lines than self checkout - he needs to go. Overall....too busy and nothing special read more

I love Costco!! Costco and Apple are my two favorite companies. I feel comfortable spending money here because I know they take great care of their employees they also don't charge over 30% of the cost of an item and I know I can trust them. I love that Costco is adding a lot of organic products which you can easily locate with the green colored price sign. Today is opening day for this location. Everyone is happy and helpful. I even got through the checkout line in 5 minutes, which is awesome for Costco. I did have some trouble finding milk and eggs. They hid it in a nook across from aisle 324. It would be nice if they had a huge sign that pointed to it but I guess it's marketing when I had to walk around for 20 mins looking for it and picking up several items that I didn't need along the way. If your an out of towner you won't find liquor at Costco. Texas liquor laws differ from most of the other States. It's a bumber as Costco branded liquor is the bomb. read more
