I went to this CVS Pharmacy for a vaccine…read more I made my appointment in advance. When I got there, they said it was not with the Pharmacy but the "Minute Clinic" inside the CVS store. That is when the confusion began. I had an 11am appointment. I tried to check in at 10:45 but I was not allowed, had to wait until 10:50. So I waited until 10:50 and checked in. I sat and waited until 11:29. I said to myself that if I am not served by 11:30 I am leaving. But, finally, at 11:29 I was called in. The nurse asked why I was there. I had already indicated all of that information when I made my appointment on the CVS website. But, the CVS data base does not interface with Minute Clinic. What? So I explained why I was there. The nurse asked which shot in the series I needed. I did not know, I suggested to look it up in the CVS database. That is when I found out that CVS and the Minute Clinic do not share information. All of this makes no sense. The nurse called the Pharmacy, which had told me they do not give the shot I needed, to find out what I needed. I finally got my shot and left at about 11:50. So much for the "minute clinic." My conclusions are: 1. Do not expect fast service at Minute Clinic. It's a misleading name. There is nothing "minute" about it. 2. If you want a record of what shots you have received at CVS, go to a CVS Pharmacy. Do not go to Minute Clinic because they know nothing and cannot access your records. I still do not understand if the clinic is part of CVS or not. If so, the fact that medical records are not shared is simply stupid.

I tend to go to another not as close or convenient for no real reason. This location has 2 entrances. One on Gaston and one on Abrams. The Abrams entrance is easier and more parking! Inside, this is a spacious and very well kept up store. The staff is very, very friendly as well as proactively helpful. I noticed a promotion all over the walls about order ahead and pick it up in the parking lot. Wow, what service!

The fact I was rushing to get there in time from work and then to look at me and tell me you are closed with no basic courtesy with not an ounce of kindness tells me the type of person you are. I will make sure to take my business somewhere else. They obviously don't need mine. I have owned businesses in the past and I would have fired her on the spot. All of this new automated systems will get rid of idiots like her. She acted so entitled but what is sad is her job is going to be replaced by automation. Then she can stand in front of a mirror at home and throw attitude there. Our society has become lazy. To have taken a moment to assist me would have been exactly how the situation should have been handled. Having some kindness and compassion is what we need. She was a total Bi**h. The staff is wonderful there and has been since I started visiting 5 years ago. There have been a handful of staff that has rotated in and out, but the core staff remains strong and seem to work really well together. And I will confirm that the "African American man" is quite handsome, but most of all, KIND--he remembers my name but he's discrete, he asks me about my day, he remembers little details that I've shared in the past and it makes me feel cared for by someone who holds, ya know, pretty sensitive information about me. From what I understand, he treats everyone that way and even "has a fan club of all the old ladies in the area". I feel lucky to have such a lovely team of pharmacists, as I know this is not the case for a lot of pharmacies.

I googled searched to see what time they opened and noticed the 1 yelp review there was , was bad. It was from 6 months ago and referenced an Asian pharmacist. I felt compelled to just share that the young woman that is in charge now, is wonderful. The team is wonderful as well. There's a kind African American man that my partner has had the hots for forever and every time either one of use fill something there, there are all friendly and super helpful. I'm sorry someone else had a bad experience but I think it's safe to say the structure of the team has changed and it is now top notch!!

The only reason I went over the drive-thru was because I didn't have anyone at the moment to pick up the Rx for me and couldn't afford doing a same-day delivery. Nonetheless, I learned my lesson and hope the pharmacy staff at this location will somehow too. This is disconcerting and very upsetting, especially when it is coming from people who should be cognizant about someone else's flu symptoms and other health conditions!
