This is just my experience in the store, I have no experience with the pharmacy. The entrance is at a light, so that's nice if you have to turn left to get in. The parking lot is well lit and has lots of room. There's even a bench in front of the store. Inside is clean, a little full for a CVS but everything is where you expect it to be. Extra stars for the employee who checked in from his break and went right to ringing before even putting his uniform shirt back on. I was so happy to have someone help the line move while the other cashier was being bogged down by slow understanding customers. Who needs the formality if it gets me and my fellow customers on our way? read more

This is my go to CVS and I have always had decent service. But I was in there last night and walked up to the register to pay for my item. There were two cashiers behind the counter just finishing up with customers. They both walked away after clearly seeing me. I waited a minute and an elderly lady walked up behind me. We both waited while the one cashier was unloading some items onto a shelf behind the counter. Finally the lady behind me said to her "are you the cashier?" I was blown away by the cashiers response "yes but you're just going to have to wait a minute" Really? We've already been waiting and watching you stock the shelf when you clearly saw us. If you can't be friendly and treat your customers nicely then get another job! read more

I will never ever go back to this CVS again. I experienced the worst customer service. I went in to the pharmacy consultation window to ask for help regarding an OTC item I needed help finding. The whole pharmacy ignored me. The cashier finally came to the window after I waited 10 minutes and when I asked him for help, he blew me off. So if you like to be treated rudely by the cashiers then this is your store. They're are willing to let you know just how unhappy they are to assist you. On this particular visit there were a couple people waiting for flu shots and 1 or 2 people behind me to get their prescriptions, the pharmacy Tech was so loud she made sure the people in the front of the store knew my name, address and date of birth only to say they didn't have my prescription which again for all to that it was not in stock . The worst CVS I have ever been to. The customer service is horrible in the pharmacy, if you don't like dealing with people or your job this is he wrong profession. Now this has been on numerous occasions I've experienced this. Every month they never have my medicine in stock which I am ok with but each person handles the situation differently. As with most other CVS locations they keep the Rx and let me know when it's filled. Because this one likes to be so difficult they say "well it should be here by this day, bring it back then." In this case you then have to drop it off again in hopes they got it in stock then come back again when it is filled. I went to the drive thru in which they said they did not have it in stock. Steven told me it should be here Wednesday and handed me back the RX. He said you could check with other locations. I asked him if he could let me know which ones have it in stock, he was the one with the computer. He said I couldn't hold up the line in which there was not one other person in line. When I spoke with the manager Diane she said the same thing and that I could come in or call. I go through the drive thru because I am handicapped, although they did not seem to care. When I asked for the number it took Diane longer to look up the phone number than it would have for her to just tell me which location had some in stock. She is the manager but doesn't even know the number to her own store. I understand not holding up the line but there was not one other car in site even coming to the line. Don't waste your time here, go to Walgreens or another location that seems to appreciate your business. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for over 2 years. There is ample parking at this location, a red box outside, and a drive thru window for the pharmacy. Any time I have been there the store has been clean and organized. I have had instances when I could not find something I was looking for, asked an employee, and come to find I have overlooked the product. The employees have always treated me with respect and a friendly attitude. Not once has there been an instance where the store area has been out of anything I needed. The pharmacy itself is pretty orderly, although there have been a few times that I would get there to pick up a medication that I was told was ready only to wait an hour for it once I arrived. I know there are inner workings of the pharmacy world that I know nothing of and chalk it up to red tape but it would be nice to have the heads up before getting to the store. Plain and simple, it's a pharmacy. Pharmacies have always been frustrating to me so I tend to think it's just me. read more

This pharmacy is no good, I have to send my script there 3 times before they let me pick it up my doctor is getting tired of having to constantly resend it when it should of been received the first time, there really slow and they all have an attitude, when I went to stop and shops pharmacy they were always speedy, same with expect discounts, also Big K mart. read more

My insurance dictates where I have to fill my meds to not pay double the price. I have to use CVS and this one is no different then the others. The staff is disorganized, never the same faces except the pharmacists. The young pharmacist doesn't help out when it gets busy. My doctor called in a tube of ointment at 1pm on a Tuesday. By 6pm I was told it wasn't ready, after being argued with that there was no script for it. I used to work for a CVS in the pharmacy. I know how it goes, but my experienced here have just been beyond terrible almost every time I go. I wish I could switch back to walgreens! read more

I experienced such unprofessional customer service today at this cvs. I went to refill a script and ask if it would be ready later in the day. The answer was sure. Gave my name birthdate and had my refill info. Came back later in day no one can even find my script. The employee went home and no one knew anything. Another employee said they would refill the script. Waited for the script however could not give it to my because it was under a different name and birthdate. I have had other issue with this pharmacy but chalked to up to bad days. However this is it. This pharmacy is dangerous. I was forced to go to CVS due to insurance chgs. I'm contacting my ins co. To see if I could go back to Walgreens my previous pharmacy, no problems their staff very helpful and professional. read more

This particular CVS is located on the side of a sheer cliff that you'd see in a Roadrunner cartoon. Someday part of the condominium complex residing on the cliff above may come crashing down on it. This store is new, clean and I guess OK. We don't go there because getting in and driving around the parking maze is a pain. Pharmacy's are pretty cookie-cutter this days. In general I've had a CVS loyalty card for years and got absolutely ZERO benefits from it despite years of use in Middletown, that store closed a few years ago, R.I.P.. The marketing genius who thought of their loyalty card obviously had no plans outside of trolling for data with them. I have been a loyal Walgreen customer for the past two years, they actually have a rewards card I've benefited (tangibly) from. read more

I was a loyal customer to this CVS. I used to tell everyone how great this store is and how much money I would save because of extra bucks. I would shop here about twice a week, and spent more money than I probably should have. Today I decided I won't be returning and CVS has now lost a customer for everyday shopping needs and pharmaceuticals. I tried to return CVS brand maxi pads that I thought I would need after a C section, but sat unopeded in my closet, as well as 2 children's toys I bought a week ago as Christmas gifts, but decided on getting my neices something else. The manager, Candy, refused to allow me to return any of the items because I couldn't find the receipt, even though they were purchased at that location and all I wanted was the $30 in store credit that I'm entitled to. The idiot told me it was up to her discretion as the manager, and she wasn't going to return the items unless I contacted CVS corporate to get proof the items were purchased there on my debit card. She then proceeded to ask me in front of a line of other customers, while ringing someone else up, "why are you returning the pads anyway. " This was completely unprofessional and rude! I told her "because I had a C section, and I thought I would be bleeding more, but I didn't end up needing them." This "manager" should be reprimanded and replaced by someone who understands good professional customer service. Unfortunately for CVS, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

We started using this pharmacy for many reasons. After 1 year of trying very hard to stay patient, we contacted corporate. They responded with a sense of urgency and reassured us that they were making SEVERAL changes and we would see a significant difference over the next month. We did and things were going well for approximately 6 months. Without going into too much detail, we take over 25 tablets a day due to a serious condition. This condition requires the medication be filled on time and not a week after we have run out. This CVS has caused a couple of trips to the ER over the course of 1 year and one excuse after another as to why the medications are not filled on time. This company bought a health insurance company, how in the world is this even possible when they are jeopardizing people's lives? We will not fall victim to just walking away and going to another pharmacy. They owe it to their customers to provide quality care not just as a pharmacy but a health insurance company and we will not stand for this anymore. We are reaching out to the State of CT to make them aware of this stores issues asap. In the meantime, we would highly recommend you check you medications for accuracy and count your tablets as well. Also be sure you stay on top of them to fill your scripts on time. read more

I need to purchase another CVS store. An employee did not use a coupon that I requested them to use from my card. I then went to this location to get a price adjustment as it's the same company and was told that I had to bring all the items in in-order to do a price adjustment. This I s extremely inconvenient as I'm just going to be repurchasing the items. Why should I have to collect my purchases from my home to bring them in and then bring them back home. Management seems to need some training here. read more

This pharmacy staff is great! I'd been having so much trouble at other CVS locations in the area getting one of my prescriptions filled on a monthly basis, because it is for an uncommon drug. Most locations in the area have caused me so much frustration(especially New Britain, ugh), but here I was treated with respect, and had all my questions about the ordering process answered. They ordered the prescription within a few days- when I asked for it to be ordered in New Britain, they said it would take a week. In New Britain, the staff didn't care- but at this Cromwell location, the pharmacy team is helping me make sure I get my medication each month and they treat me with kindness instead of making me feel like a hassle. read more
