They are community supporters, patient advocates, and would selflessly assist you with what benefits you most as a customer. I've been going to this pharmacy for over a year now and I never encountered any bit of a problem. I may have encountered dozens of problems with my Doctor's office or insurance but the owners are always ready to help and give advice of what you can do. I'm always busy and don't have time to usually post comments about a business entity but I can't help myself to give back to this pharmacy's unending support. They have the fastest service in getting your medications ready if there are no issues from the doctors office, insurance, etc. You go in and out quick since your needs are quickly met. Let us support our local pharmacies!! You can talk to the owners yourself. You will never see and voice out your concerns directly on the owners or big bosses of CVS, Walmart Pharmacy, Walgreens, etc.!

Years ago, I would call their automated system for Rx renewals, then I switched to their automatic renewal plan where they handle the refills, and I get an e-mail when something is restocked. Easy Peasy. Because I live so close to Stop and Shop, and it seems we end up inside the store 3 times a week, its always super convenient for us to do business here. And their hours are pretty darned convenient too- open 8-8 during the week and 9-5 on the weekend.

The experience I have had at this pharmacy has been atrocious. There is one pharmacist who I…read morealways seem to get that has a horrendous attitude. I'm tired of it. I waited 30 minutes while she was making a call to see if I could get a refill. The 16 year old intern did a way better job than her. The intern told me I could have one pill to last me until tomorrow when I could pick up my entire prescription since I needed to go to work. Why make me wait 30 minutes only to tell me I can't give you one pill. I have to bring in the prescription. Then she walked away and helped the next customer. I HAD BEEN WAITING 30 MINUTES!!! Unreal. No one cares. This pharmacy is a joke and I will be removing all of my prescriptions from Stop and Shop.

I needed some replacement tubing for my nebulizer. My insurance will cover it, but requires a…read moreprescription from the doctor. After playing phone-tag for a week with my doctor's office, I finally got them to send the prescription for the masks and tubing to my local CVS...only for them to call me and tell me they cannot fill that type of prescription there or bill it through my insurance (which is total BS-they could special order and then bill it but they don't want to because it's a longer process, so they tried to pull the wool over my eyes. Nice try.) I didn't want to deal with any more headaches, however, so I scouted around on the internet for local medical supply pharmacies and found Arrow. I asked CVS to transfer my prescription to Arrow and then went there. I walked in and went to drop-off and was helped by a friendly pharmacist almost immediately. I explained my situation to her and she kindly informed me that CVS would not be able to transfer the prescription, that I had to have it in hard copy form or have them e-script it directly to Arrow. She then told me that they carry the supplies I need there, and could save the receipt so I could be reimbursed later. She walked me to the section with the masks and tubing and picked some out for me, then got me a price. I went to grab a couple more sets and thanked her. The other pharmacist who rang me up was not only also incredibly kind, but he gave me a steep discount-the entire purchase came to $16, when it should have been at least $25. I was truly touched and awed at the level of service and care I received here. Truth be told; I'm not used to this; I've been going to the big chain pharmacies almost my entire life. I don't think I'm going to bother fighting with my doctor's office and insurance to try and get reimbursed, at least not this time. Next time, I'll have my office send the prescriptions directly to Arrow; in fact, I think I'll have ALL my prescriptions from here on out filled at Arrow. There really are pharmacies where you are greeted promptly and given a high level of care and service, and Arrow is one of them! Thank you, Arrow!

I was told they only fill prescriptions while patient is waiting... which I was never told. It's a waste of time for busy individuals such as myself. Mind you, I was picking up a small device, not medication. To top off my annoyance, a staff member was rudely speaking in Spanish about another customer. Very unprofessional. I am disgusted with how I was treated at this pharmacy…read more I was acknowledged by a round male with a clip on tie. Upon giving him my name for a pickup, it was obvious the effort to check the knee high bin was too great. Minutes later he returns, sliding me a number on a piece of paper like some bizarre negotiation, "That's what this is going to cost you". the number was about 10 times higher than the generic, so I inquired about that, seeing as how I received a call from that very pharmacy telling me my generic prescription was partially filled and will be ready the next day. "we don't get that" he replied. "you don't get that now, or wont be getting that again?" I asked. His response obviously annoyed "we don't get that". Even though the person who called told me they did, and the pharmacist I spoke with previously told me they could get it with a days notice. I inquired about the partial fill the other pharmacist offered. Clip on said, "its going to take at least 10 minutes" . Sure, Ill wait. You better believe i stared at him the entire time. Upon his return with my partial fill, I asked him what I can do differently to better prepare before arrival to pick up my prescription. "nothing" he stated, "there is nothing you can do", "People chase this (eyeing me with a disgusted look)" He was implying that I was somehow abusing my prescription and he was on to me. "you can call and we'll have it and some other person chasing this will take it before you can get it". I let him know it was a pleasure speaking with him, he didn't feel the same. Previously I've struggled with this Pharmacy filling prescriptions where they've blamed my carrier (who had the error log and it was in fact on Nutmeg's side) and provided me false information "your insurance will not cover generic, only name brand" all due to high staff turn over and improper supervision and training. It's unfortunate, as in my household there are (sadly) 3 people requiring medications both regularly and ad-hoc. We would much rather support a smaller business than throw money at CVS but with this treatment, why would I return? Hell, I can fill this at Costco , munch on a $1.50 hotdog and pick up a new flatscreen. Do better Nutmeg, your clientele is aging out and you should be kind and unassuming to all your customers. To Clip-on, I hope you cry into the day old lo-mien you eat for dinner. Other people aren't the reason you are lonely.
