Beware of this location and all CVS pharmacies! They will change the location and availability of a medication you've been picking up at the same pharmacy without any problems for years; without telling you, if someone deems it a specialty prescription. They'll play fast and loose with your health and then call it an "oopsie" on the phone. read more

Don't ask me why I continue to use this pharmacy.. I believe it's convenient because they have my info already and so do all of our Doctors. Worse customer service ever! They will call when prescription is in.. however there is usually long lines and 1 person working, then they can't locate your medication and make you wait again which means you have to get back in line!! My insurance hasn't changed but has been updated once.. I came in to pick up my medicine (that they called and said was ready) only for them to deny me my medication because of the update even though the update was a upgrade. They wouldn't call the insurance. (Btw I had my card) Doctors will call in my prescription and an hour later I will go pick it up, wait in line and yet again famously they won't have it ready so I have to wait then get in line again! There system is broken they need to fix it!!!!! read more

Ok, so there's this great CVS Pharmacy on 17th Street, next to the Vons Super market. Hands down my favorite quick stop! The people there a friendly. The store is huge! Great parking (unlike the CVS by Triangle square. I always seem to fight for parking with the gym members.. that's a whole other story). You find just about anything there! I found spices for about $1! Spices at CVS, come on.. But really. It's a great spot. It's not like this place is a ghost town, there's constant foot traffic in and out of there! Try it out and see! -- Liquor, lollipops & Legg's Pantyhose-- -One stop for everything! -Staff is so friendly! -Great parking for quick in-n-out! Enjoy, B read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

I usually don't like to write bad reviews but I'm done with this pharmacy. I came here cause is next to the Urgent care and I needed my prescription right away. I have been here before and it's always the same crappy service. I don't understand how they have survived in this neighborhood!! I'm approaching the pharmacy and I was asked "you dropping off your prescription?" I said yes. Next thing I know I'm standing there and nothing happens. So I asked the lady "are you available or not?" She goes "sorry, but it will be a 45 minutes wait for you. Is that an issue?". REALLY? Well, is it 45 minutes waiting for anybody on planet earth an issue? I'm done with this pharmacy!!! read more

I called in to pick up Pur water filters which I badly need. I asked if the cashier could hold it for me for like 10 minutes and he said sure. When I got the store, the filters are already in the checkout area and the cashier is ready to ring it up but he was busy assisting another customer so I went to self checkout but had issues so the manager came in to help. All in all these 2 men, the night cashier and the manager were very kind, accommodating and helpful. read more

Reviews for the pharmacist. I never write reviews. But He's super disrespectful. I was always not fond of his attitude he gave other customers but this morning after 8 hours in the ER I waited for them to open to tell him I was there and I didn't have any problem waiting for my prescriptions as I know it takes 15 minutes. As soon as he saw me waiting there, before I could say I don't mind waiting, he assumed that I expected them right away and spoke to me like I was stupid for being there so early asking for my meds. "There's no way your meds are ready if it just got sent this morning." Not a hi. Good morning. How can I help. Annoying but I brushed it off. Then, he said my pain meds wouldn't be ready for 2 hours. I'm still trying to be nice as always even though he's got a bitter attitude. My dad shows up just to check on it an hour later since I can't drive on the stuff I was injected with and my dad was already in the plaza, and the Pharmacist yells over the phone, when my dad called me, unprofessionally saying "I TOLD HER 2 HOURS. 2 HOURS." Clearly irritated and pissed off and I could imagine people were around. My dad goes, ".....ok then I'll come back..?" Pharmacist has a short fuse and needs to relax. Let people check if they want to check you don't have to assume people are going to attack you, and it's extremely disrespectful to treat people like that especially if they're clearly in a lot of pain or if they're sick coming from the emergency room or wherever. It's not difficult to smile and be pleasant to people. read more

This pharmacy has suck a bad customer service for the pharmacy. Took 1/2 hour to answer phone had to call store manager for them to answer.

I give a lot of reviews and this is my second one star. I thinks it's important to give a heads up to others if a company has exceptional poor customer service. Twice they did not have drug in stock for an emergency eye issue and failed to let me know. Be prepared to wait in the phone 20 minutes if you call the pharmacy. I moved on to a great local pharmacy that you get a person on the phone and the customer service is 5 star. I hope the owner of this place takes note he has a 2.5 star company on yelp and does something about it before it's too late. I plan to never walk in again.... read more

I seriously can't stand the customer service for the pharmacy. I called 10 times to get something fixed and all I got was attitude on the phone . I have to get these pills due to health reasons and they don't even care. Just rude read more

Pharmacy lines are long...techs always seem confused...they tell you that your prescription is ready and then 1) they can't find it 2) or it really isn't ready at all. Probably one of the most inefficient pharmacies I've been to.....plus, finding someone who speaks understandable English can be a challenge. They have refilled scripts I haven't asked for and ignored ones that I have needed. read more

I have been getting my prescription filled here for years, which maybe makes me a masochist since it's generally a very painful experience. I am not giving it a one because - There is one man that has been super helpful, and would actually let me know if I wasn't getting the prescription I was expecting so he is worth a full star. About 50% of the time I get a text my prescription is ready, the other 50% I have to call and make sure it's been filled. I always ask if the specific one I prefer is in, since I have had some bad reactions to others. Usually it's a surprise ( I ask, they say yes it's in, I go in) and I get there to pick it up and it's some other random name I don't recognize, even though mine is already a generic brand, and they easily could have stated no but we have these ones in, so I know to call other pharmacy's and transfer my prescription. Recently I was able to get more than 1 month at a time, however, each time I go in I need to re-remind them and have them fix it because apparently they don't know how to make it reoccurring each quarter... which would be nice so I don't have to spend as long waiting around. It's all highly frustrating, my husband knows on perception day, stay out of my way because I will leave and come home in a horrible mood after spending hours refilling or fixing something that really should be quite simple. read more

This review is the for the pharmacy only. I came in to get antibiotics and the pharmacists took forever just to greet me. Then they would not run my insurance correctly, and I had to stand and wait for more than 20 minutes. I ended up paying full for prescriptions that should have been covered. I also politely let the staff know I needed to go to class, but they were oblivious and a new trainee took over my situation. All in all I was in this cvs for 45 minutes and paid in full due to their incompetence. I came back because anthem gave them a call, and CVS agreed to run it again and reimburse me. But when came back in, they said they received no such phone call. Oh, and I should mention that they also mislabeled my last name, causing another 10 minutes of confusion. Please, please, PLEASE go to a different pharmacy. This place isn't a pharmacy, it's a trainee school for half brained monkies. I'm serious. The only nice one was a young lady at the front desk. The senior pharmacists are pissy, unhelpful, and rude. Time to never go to another CVS pharmacy again! :') read more

Absolutely horrible customer service at this location. Filled a scrip here and was absolutely treated awful. No help from store manager or the pharmacist to correct the issue. Took my business elsewhere. Crazy that all of these people do not realize they have jobs because people buy things from the store that employed them. If they keep up this kind of good work and everyone changes where they shop then hopefully they will get it together or just close shop. read more

This CVS is incredibly well stocked, clean and well lit. Probably one of the best CVS locations I've been to in that regards. Unfortunately I can't say the same as far as the service goes. For some reason my customer service experiences are always horrible in Orange County - probably because having brown skin is still a misdemeanor here. Anyhow my favorite incident occurred yesterday when my friends and I went to get some energy drinks. I was paying for everything, and all of our stuff was sitting on the counter. I asked for a bag, and the cashier goes insane. She's saying she already asked my friend if we needed a bag and he said no. Well, I didn't hear that interaction, and we changed our mind (a Canadian tradition I hold quite dear - see http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/154328). The woman throws a bag at me and hands over the receipt. I say "No, we don't need the receipt, and we're sure about this one". She gets pissed off and says "If you don't want it, you can throw it out yourself outside". Honestly, if my friend hadn't taken the receipt, I would have either left it with her - or tossed it on the ground and walked out. I really don't understand the chip on the shoulder some people have, but fuck me. If you need anything, this is a great CVS location due to the selection (hence why it doesn't have 1 star). But the fewer sociopath employees you have to deal with, the better. read more

I raced to this cvs after my husband's surgery. Due to the late schedule, surgery at 4:30, by the time I got him home and settled there was just enough time to fill his pain med prescription, so I thought. I arrived at the pharmacy at 8:50pm. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription stating that, by the time he finished the pharmacy would be closed. They closed at 9pm, I arrived 10 minutes to 9pm. What? I explained the urgency for the pain meds, my husband just had surgery I really needed the prescription. He again refused. This was shocking. How long could it take to fill one prescription? I arrived before closing and if he had to work 5 minutes past closing why is that such a big deal? He sent me to another cvs at least 10 minutes further away. That was his solution to the problem. Send me away because he couldn't stay an extra few minutes? There were no other customers waiting. I saw no reason for his refusal to help me other than his complete lack of respect, willingness to provide service. read more

Worst pharmacist I've ever dealt with. Literally yelled at me on the phone after 9 hours of tryin to fill a prescription, post-op surgery. Totally his screw up. Acted like he knew everything. Even had my dr office call and he was unhelpful. Totally lacked compassion, kindness even when he didn't know what he was doing after multiple times asking if it went through the correct insurance. Disgusting - and said he was a manager... unbelievable. I can't believe CVS would employ someone so aggressive towards someone that had been extremely patient. Never got my prescription properly filled. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would!!!! The pharmacy is run by buffoons!! What jackassery!!!! They take stupidity to new levels!!!! For those of you that don't understand this concept, you should read, "Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole. I brought in a handwritten prescription for Adderall and they wouldn't fill it because it had a tiny, minuscule, almost unnoticeable mark from the pen of the doctor next to the 6 in the month of the date. ABSURD!!!! It was the way the number was written and nothing more than that!!!!! I spoke to the manager and she said she'd be fined by her distributor "Cardinal" if she submitted the prescription. I asked her if the loss of business from my entire family for years to come (not to mention...years of business already conducted) was and would be more than her fine and she told me the fine would be more! What a moron!!!!! How did she get her job???? Good hire H.R!!! I will never return nor will any of my family. I went across the street and had it filled by Rite-Aid.....no questions asked. Screw CVS. BEWARE THE IDIOTS!!! read more

Have been using this pharmacy for 4 years now because of the location and convenience to my house. However, I constantly am treated with poor customer service. I called earlier today to confirm about what medication I was getting refilled and not only did the woman I speak with neglect to answer my questions, but she decided to hang up on my mid sentence. I proceed by calling back and the same woman answers the phone and doesn't apologize after I told her she hung up on me. I asked to speak with her supervisor and as I'm explaining my problem, he interrupts me and is also rude. read more

The cashier today September 22 at 9 AM, was rude and uncourteous. At the register section, there was a sign posted saying use next register, and there was no one in line so I stepped up to that counter. When the cashier turned around and saw me, she said to use the self check-out or ring her cashier bell ! What the heck? I was standing right there at the open register!! She literally just walked away. I left my purchase on the self check out and left. Awful I will not be back. Ever. read more

If you want to see a complete display of consistent incompetence, this is your Pharmacy. This is specifically pointed at the pharmacy and not the general store nor its employees, who are fine. Off and on for six years I have tried to have prescriptions filled here only to get a plethora of reasons why they could not do it or why they did it wrong. I'm talking an 80% chance of errors from this rude crew of alleged professionals. I am from New England and will be contacting the Corporate offices in Rhode Island to express my dismay, dissatisfaction and utter shock at the lack of manners and professionalism at this awful version of a CVS. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

I'm done. I'm done with a pharmacy that has f'ed up my last 4 attempts at getting a medication refilled. Not only do they screw it up but then they have an automated phone system that keeps telling me my prescription is ready. The same one that they told me had no refills. I'm done with a pharmacy where no one speaks English. I'm done. read more

This Pharmacy is completely incompetent. I had a procedure completed at Hoag. I promptly called my doctors office to send in my prescription to this CVS. Which they did at 9:00AM. I was released at 10:45 AM and headed to this CVS to pickup my prescription. I was told that I would need to wait 15 minutes. Not a major problem as I ALWAYS have to wait at this Pharmacy even after I call the prescription in. I returned 15 minutes later. I was told to come back at 1:30 PM due to the fact the Pharmacist took his/her lunch. I promptly called my doctors office and moved my prescription over to Ride Aid (across the street). I had my medicine in less than 10 minutes. After this review, I am completely done with CVS. read more

Only downside to this CVS is that it isn't open 24/7. However its not too bad since the one down the street is.

This Pharmacy location is so terrible. They have messed my moms mefications so many times. They put in for medication not requested, run out of medication and don't call. For the elderly they make it so confusing. I would recomend not having your medivation picked up here. Save yourself the frustration and go some where else. read more

The Customer Service is excellent. I'm not entirely sure why everyone had such a bad review to this Pharmacy. The Asian girl in the pharmacy with the terrible ombré job is the rudest and dumbest bitch ever.... I didn't have enough money on my debit card to buy my prescriptions so I paid what I could on my card and I had to run out to my car for some cash- when I came back she had voided the whole thing and I couldn't swipe for it again cause she took what I had in my card out already and told me it takes 3 days for the money to be refunded once voided.. I'm like what!! I have a gnarly kidney infection and now I can't get my antibiotics until Monday. She had no remorse. This CVS is seriously huge. What a great selection! I've always thought CVS was overpriced (compared to say, Target), but sometimes you can catch stuff on sale for a good value. Anyhow, this past trip was solely for a pharmacy pickup. There was a fantastic gentleman with a great head of silver hair who helped me. He was friendly and I was very impressed with his customer service. It's a bummer all the other reviews are negative for the pharmacy portion of the store. Maybe they've made some improvements? read more

Very small store. Customer service was good, but they did not have all of the amenities of a complete CVS. Also, it's not open 24-hours.

One of the worst customer service experience of ever had. Last time I came here it was a disaster with waiting and being sent to multiple lines. Absolute nightmare. Today I called to make sure my prescription was ready before I go in there to try and save the hassle. I call and get out I n hold over 8 minutes. Call again. On hold again. Why is it always so darn work flow intensive just to get some pills? It's very frustrating. I realize the whole healthcare system is screwy but give me a break! These drug stores are getting rich selling drugs but they cannot figure out the distribution side of things. Customer service, please. CVS falls down face first sorry to say. PS I meant to give them 1 star but I just don't care to change it. Bottom line is. 1.5. Sucky service. read more

I love this spot. It's never crowded, the customer service here is top notch, and the cashiers are always really nice, and helpful. Late at night theyre a little slow, and slightly dim witted (well one older guy, but he's old, and he means well), but that's expected at 3 in the morning. One time I was getting ready to meet up with a special friend, and I was nervous. I wanted to smell especially delicious (Nacho Libre reference) but not overpowering. I'm insanely picky with perfume/body spray, so when I find something I like, I tend to snag it right away. Long story short I found a perfume I really liked, but didn't get it. Weeks later I came back to claim it, but it was 2/3rds gone. I put it back down in disappointment, and decided to ask the clerk (who's apparently in charge of the makeup section) why the perfume was gone although it didn't state that it was a tester. She responded that people are just ghetto, and think everything is a tester. I chuckled and asked her if they had anymore in stock, but she said no... I was sad of course until she said "If u want that one ill sell it to u for $2. Tell them Kathy, or Katie (something with a K) said $2" I thought that was the COOLEST thing ever. Got to the register didn't think it'd work, but sure enough I name dropped, and everything fell into place. I felt like a celebrity, getting into a prestigious nightclub, lol. Best part was when my friend texted me that I smelled really ood, and that my scent was intoxicanting. I've been told I smelled good on multiple occasions, but never that my scent was intoxicating. Not bad for $2. ;) Thanx Kathy, Katie, Kerry/Karie ^_^ read more

Honestly, the VERY worst CVS I have ever been to. I bought a $37 hand held 10x compact mirror which had sticky goo all over it that couldn't be removed. I took it back & tried to exchange it for another one that was $5 more. They tried to charge me a $27.62 difference. Are you f'ing kidding me? The one I bought was $37, the one I tried to exchange it for was $42!!! WTF? Neither of the the two idiots working at the store could comprehend this & told me I'd have to come back tomorrow to talk to the manager. I don't think so! I took the mirror I bought & the $14 gift card they tried to give me for "the exchange" ???? and chucked them right out in the parking lot. Maybe someone can use the shitty mirror with sticky anti theft crap all over it & hopefully someone will take advantage of the gift card but me, l'll never be back. You would think someone from the corporate office would look at all of the horrible reviews on here and actually DO SOMETHING about it! The lines for the pharmacy are always insanely long, and I'm sorry if there are 5 people in line waiting for a prescription cant you tell the person simply trying to check out everyday household items to go to the front of the store for check out? When I called to check on my prescription I literally sat on hold for 8 minutes and 24 seconds before I finally gave up and hung up! Unacceptable!
