My go-to CVS, mainly because of the people who work here. The pharmacists are excellent, super helpful, thoughtful, and always takes the time to clearly explain medications and answer questions. You can tell there's real care there, which makes a big difference. The store itself is large and well stocked, but the lack of a drive-through is what keeps this at 4 stars instead of 5. Still, reliable service and a pharmacy team I genuinely trust, which is what matters most. read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for years just because it's convenient. There have been a few hiccups with having to wait for prescriptions, but that's not always the pharmacist's fault. Sometimes the doctors don't always get things called in. Today I had an issue and the pharmacist actually really helped me. She got on the phone. Spent a lot of time making multiple phone calls to help me. I have always found that people working here have been very nice, but the pharmacist today went above and beyond. A cashier/security guard, at this location, behaved in such an unprofessional, deplorable and abusive manner to a customer, on Aug 11, 2025, at 3:51pm that they both need to be reprimanded/fired! I witnessed one of the most aggressive, deplorable inhumane verbal attacks on a customer that I have ever seen. I entered the CVS store and the first thing I heard was a female employee "screaming out" from a check-out register 30ft away to a woman en-route to exit the store, she yelled out, across the floor and said, "Why did you come in here again if you weren't going to buy anything?", in a humiliating, derogatory tone! Upon hearing this I literally stopped dead in my tracks to try to figure out what the hell was going on! The woman attempting to exit the store, she stopped & attempted to defend herself from the cashier whom was abusive, never mind the weight & magnitude of the words to make such an idiotic, mindless, rude comment. While CVS has the right to refuse service to any customer, what the cashier literally screamed out to the whole store was don't come in our store unless you are going to buy something! According to that statement, if it were a policy, no customer would be allowed to enter the store unless they bought something. The woman who was verbally attacked by the cashier, stopped & responded to the cashier that the reason she had not bought anything was because the items she had been searching for were not in stock and the reason she came back a second time was because she needed to use the restroom, and she then thanked CVS that she had shit herself. I noticed the back of her pants were wet, so she had definitely had an accident, and from my experience, CVS bathrooms are locked; require a code, so it sounded like the woman might have been prohibited/delayed in getting access to the restroom, thus had an accident. It is possible the woman was poor, as so many in that area, but that is not a reason to speak to her like that if all she did is try to use the restroom. Despite the woman having an bathroom accident, the woman's speech and how she responded to the cashier with clear ennunciation and a logical response, says it all, & whether or not she was on alcohol/drugs is irrelevant, as I am a witness that her speech was not impaired in any way, shape, or form. The woman was was projecting her voice back to the cashier & she had to speak loudly enough to reach the cashier whom was more than 30 ft away, so she was simply responding to what the cashier had initiated, and she was not screaming in either volume or tone compared to the cashier. However, as the woman was trying to speak and exit the store, the security guard, a young punk, blinged out with extra large diamond earrings, began air-shoving the woman out the door by shooing her with his hands and arms, treating her like she was cattle, and then he literally told her to never come back. If she had stolen something, by all means call the police, if she had done something egregious in the store, hit stuff or thrown stuff or was behaving strangely, the security guard could have approached her and asked her to leave the store, but I didn't see her do anything to warrant the security guard to be shooing her out and telling her to never come back. I couldn't believe that no one, except me had any guts to say anything, and everyone just stood there like frozen zombies allowing this woman to be heckled. I walked right up to a cashier, the one that I think was screaming and I asked her for help, posing to her a random question and I got a stupid, snarky reply to my question, so I thanked her & walked away, but as I attempted to shop for what I needed, I could not stomach the despicable situation I had just witnessed and the way this customer had been attacked, as it made my stomach turn over. I over heard one cashier telling the other that they thought she, "was on something", meaning alcohol/drugs, and all I could think is, well even if the woman was on drugs, that didn't warrant what the cashier had said, and furthermore how ironic...she is "on" something, hello, what do you think CVS is? It is a store that sells Rx drugs. Lot's of people come in CVS on something. Go get a brain! I was so upset, I could not shop. I then approached the security guard & told him to his face, that what he had done to that woman was not cool. He acted totally justified in what he did. So I asked him what exactly did she do, in case there was more to the story than I had witnessed. The security guard said the woman was screaming! Screaming, I exclaimed! No, I'm sorry but she was not screaming, she was simply defending herself after being verbally attacked by an employee who actually screamed across the store at her. I told the security guard that I too would go shop somewhere else! Effective January 1, 2023, AB 1632 requires a place of business that is open to the general public for the sale of goods....persons to use the toilet. read more

This is for store management. Having your pharmacy closed for lunch is just plain stupid. There are enough people that work in the pharmacy that you couldn't split lunch break. To wait in line and then get to window only to be told come back in a half hour is insulting and bad business. I'm elderly with a disability and cost of gas impairs two trips to your store. I guess you want me to sit in my car with the hot sun while you have lunch. I do not begrudge you lunch but there is no reason to close for business. I give this cvs store zero star! I am honestly telling you my story. I just got second vaccine shot in this store . The pharmacist lady wore dirty glove doing her job for me. When she came, she scraped the clothes down on the carpet. She picked up the hanger, but she did not changed her glove, kept doing her job for me. I have warned her "I think your glove is already dirty because you picked up that hanger ". She answered me "I don't touch you, I don't touch needle ", and keep doing her job with that dirty glove. But she touched the band-aid and my clothes. This is not sanitary action, especially in this special time. read more

Called 3 times to have my medication transferred to another location. After pressing multiple keys to finally reach someone at the pharmacy, they hung up. Not once, but twice. I called for the 3rd time and Sumai answered with a bad attitude, extremely unprofessional. When i asked for her help to transfer, she said i need to call the other CVS location. Hard to say if she was understaffed or extremely lazy and did not want to help me hopefully neither and she just had a really bad morning. Came in to buy a few supplies in the makeup aisle and the beauty consultant Maria came up to me to make sure I was doing OK and to see if she could assist. She shared with me new products by Laroche, and also taught me how to look up my coupons under the CVS app and the kiosk in the store. Once we were done she even dropped off a little gift bag from the Laroche products. I will 100% be doing all my shopping now at the CVS because of how helpful Maria was. read more

The bathrooms are so horrendous. I wanted to change my baby but the changing tables were covered in poop! BOTH bathrooms. Poop splatters on the wall next to the toilet and dirty floors. Seriously I'm so grossed out I can't believe my eyes. Looked like it's been there for months. When I asked the lady in the front about the bathrooms, she said I wasn't the first to come to her and it's only 11am! She directed me to the store manager who was an older man 60's in a long blue sleeve wouldn't let me speak for more than a second. I tried showing him pictures and he put his hand up and stated "omg I'll take care of it right now" as if he's been told before. Gross. read more

This review is for the photo department at CVS, not the store as a whole. We ordered some photos to be printed here online for display in frames at our upcoming wedding. We ordered 2 - 4x6 and 10 - 5x7 prints. When we picked them up not only did the quality leave something to be desired (these were all professional high res photos so it wasn't an image quality issue) but all the 5x7s printed out with a white border around them. When we brought this up to staff they told us we would have to cut them down ourselves. That the machine doesn't print out the correct sizes and there was nothing they could do to help us. It may seem like a small thing but when you have a long list of wedding to-dos having to add another task and cutting down all your photos due to incompetence really irked us. They should really put a note about that on the website. read more

I have been going to the Cvs for years 175 E. 17th St. and tonight I encountered a cashier named Casey and he was so kind. He took time to help me find what I was looking for. He helped me in the battery section because I couldn't see the right type of Battery's Casey went out of his way to make sure he found the right ones that I was looking for. A really great CVS! First of all, the store is HUGE! It's always clean, well stocked, organized, and the pharmacy is quick as well. There is hardly even a line unlike other CVS's I've been to, where it legit takes an hour to get your prescription. The staff is nice, and the pharmacists are always very knowledgable, and helpful. I picked up a prescription today, and they told me it would take 15 minutes..it took like 4 minutes. The location is great too- right next to a Vons. I miss the Ralph's near the CVS at brookhurst and Adam's because I usually wind up doing drugstore shopping, with grocery shopping in the same day..so it's really nice to be able to do both. and not have to leave the parking lot. Another plus is their makeup section- they always seem to have all the newest releases, and they seem to have more makeup than the other CVS's. read more

Beware of this location and all CVS pharmacies! They will change the location and availability of a medication you've been picking up at the same pharmacy without any problems for years; without telling you, if someone deems it a specialty prescription. They'll play fast and loose with your health and then call it an "oopsie" on the phone. read more

Don't ask me why I continue to use this pharmacy.. I believe it's convenient because they have my info already and so do all of our Doctors. Worse customer service ever! They will call when prescription is in.. however there is usually long lines and 1 person working, then they can't locate your medication and make you wait again which means you have to get back in line!! My insurance hasn't changed but has been updated once.. I came in to pick up my medicine (that they called and said was ready) only for them to deny me my medication because of the update even though the update was a upgrade. They wouldn't call the insurance. (Btw I had my card) Doctors will call in my prescription and an hour later I will go pick it up, wait in line and yet again famously they won't have it ready so I have to wait then get in line again! Staff was friendly enough but i'm giving 1 star for the corporate return policy. I wanted to do an exchange on a bag of beef jerky that was completely moldy but they had none in stock. When I asked for a refund & said it was fine to send it back to my Hubs' credit card, the employee said I needed the card too. Ok, so there's this great CVS Pharmacy on 17th Street, next to the Vons Super market. Hands down my favorite quick stop! The people there a friendly. The store is huge! Great parking (unlike the CVS by Triangle square. I always seem to fight for parking with the gym members.. that's a whole other story). You find just about anything there! I found spices for about $1! Spices at CVS, come on.. But really. It's a great spot. It's not like this place is a ghost town, there's constant foot traffic in and out of there! I have been here before and it's always the same crappy service. I don't understand how they have survived in this neighborhood!!
