I'm genuinely surprised at all the recent negative reviews, as I have used this CVS pharmacy pretty frequently over the last year. Now that it's built out and new, I really have no negatives as a customer. Everyone at the pharmacy has been attentive and helpful. I would t say anyone is over-the-top friendly, but that is almost never my expectation. They've always been professional and kind enough when I pick up prescriptions inside or at the drive-thru pickup window. This is a very busy pharmacy in a densely populated neighborhood. Staff is often harried, "on the run," and "in the weeds." Customer service reflects this. If everything runs smoothly and you're the sort who's not looking for a friendly face, there's no problem. But if something goofs up (the tablet doesn't work, etc), you can expect a whole lot of attitude. CVS could remedy this with more staff. read more

This is in a now-dying shopping mall; surprised it is still open. Glad, though. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff throughout the store. They had some of what I needed, and were very apologetic about the other stuff. Standard CVS selection (small) and pricing (a bit high.) Convenient sometimes. I was at this location this evening and had the unfortunate pleasure of being checked out by Josh at the pharmacy. I've never had the experience of having a pharmacy tech "know more" than my physician. He was incredibly rude and had the same customer service capabilities as the cactus in my living room. One of the worst experiences. I went in to get an over the counter med for tooth pain I've been experiencing. It said in stock for 10$ so I went there. When I found it in the store they were selling it for 23$. I asked if they could price match it and they refused to do so but could order it online and wait days for it. I finally went to a CVS in the town over and there it was 10$. Highway robbery if you ask me why such an inflation of price! read more

I used to love this particular CVS. I shared the same thoughts as many of these 5-star raters. Boy, has it changed. When I call the pharmacy, it's a 50/50 chance I'll speak with an actually helpful pharmacy tech. Also, they must be short staffed because it appears that they now close at 6pm during the week. What happened to closing at 8pm or even before that, when the pharmacy closed at 9pm? Closing at 6pm is ridiculous. Are there no pharmacy techs looking to work there or is it bad management? Both? Another issue is that they haven't had one of my medications since November due to distribution issues. That's unacceptable, CVS Corp. They better figure that nonsense out ASAP. Take your chances, but I've been looking elsewhere. I hate change, but CVS Neil has changed so much, I guess I have to now. read more

Do not go here if you are on medicare and want to use your benefits for over the counter products. Unfortunately the rocket scientists at CVS management and the rocket scientists an the insurance companies (in my case Aetna) have managed to rig up some pathetic low budget computer system that can't process your order. The lady at the CVS counter couldn't find me in their database and told me to call Aetna. After 17 minutes on hold at Aetna and then being connected to a lady who could barely communicate in English I was told to call CVS. I had a similar issue at the CVS on 5th St a few months ago. If your insurance is associated with CVS be prepared to be deluged with incompetent morons on both sides. read more

My favorite CVS. I'm closer to the campus one but I go a few minutes out of my way to the Thurber Village/Victorian Village CVS because the staff here are much more attentive, friendly and polite than the campus area (High St.) location. The pharmacists are the sweetest and work so hard! They remember my husband and I and are always on point. I never have any issued with my prescriptions or accounts missing information. They do all they can they make sure scripts are filled quickly and correctly and that you get all your coupons/ save as much as you can. read more

Came in here to get some needed chapstick. Found what I was looking for after asking twice as the EOS chapstick is not with the other chapsticks. The ladies were nice and helpful, but the store seems very old and a bit rundown compared to other CVSs I have shopped. read more

I just love kooks like Kiki who are so quick to label someone and "hugely inappropriate" simply because they bring up something they've noticed about you (biking, in this case) and then saying they spotted said employee near their home address. Well, Kiki, that's what makes this CVS unique and special. Most who work their live locally. I see them walking to work. So it's highly unlikely that the "hugely inappropriate pharmacy tech" was stalking you in some way as to witness your pathetic little life. I would also add that after changing your pharmacy, I hope you've stayed on your meds. It appears that you need them. Bad. That being said, this CVS is a remarkably friendly store. I've been shopping here for over a decade. I've gotten to know everyone there on a first name basis. They warmly greet customers and bid them good day as they leave. Last month, I went to pick up my wife's prescription after they texted us to say it was ready. When we arrived, we were told it was not ready and also not in stock. We were told to show up two days later. When w showed up two days later we were told once again her medication was not in stock and to come back another day. The third time this happened, the medication was in stock and I had to wait an hour to pick it up even though we were told it was filled. Since then we have been texted and notified her prescription was filled, but it was not. Overall I dread going here. read more

I just read a story about CVS having some of the worst customer service in the country, and I wanted to give credit where it is due. It's obvious that this CVS location has good management. I don't shop here often, but when I do, I am greeted by a friendly person each and every time I walk in the door. I've had a few prescriptions filled here too, and each time that pharmacists has been very nice. They always ask if I have any questions about medications, and have even offered alternatives for high priced name brands, and just seem to go out of there way to make sure I'm happy. It's definitely not the cheapest place to get a script filled, but the customer service at this location is some of the best. read more

I get my prescriptions filled here mostly out of convenience. I'm not sure how their prescription prices compare to other pharmacies because honestly I just haven't put the time or research into switching. I love that they offer the rewards program now, which you can earn CVS cash after filling a certain amount of prescriptions (I think maybe 10). A lot of the time I will pay for my prescriptions first, sit back and watch the coupons print out and then I'll do some more shopping so I can use them in the same trip. Prices for general goods tend to be a bit more here so I never buy anything unless I'm in desperate need or have a lot of coupons from my rewards. Sometimes you can get lucky on food here though. There's no rhyme or reason to it but take a peek at the food aisle, there have been times I've scored boxes of cereal for only a couple bucks or gotten a deal on other packaged foods. Definitely not the place to shop all the time, but they do have a lot of options and the pharmacy has been extremely friendly, always accurate and there is hardly ever a wait. read more

The staff including the manager is friendly. They always welcome me when I walk into the store and ask me if I need help when I am shopping. The prices do seem to be generally higher than the giant eagle next door. I have a CVS reward card that can offset some of the cost but why take on the extra time just to get merchandise for the same price. I will generally only buy products if I have a prescription to fill and a coupon to use. The pharmacist are very helpful. I am not sure about the cost of prescriptions compared to other pharmacies. read more

I was strictly a Giant Eagle girl when it came to filling my prescriptions. Doing anything to up my fuel perks, I exchanged service for gas. No more. The pharmacy at CVS on Neil Ave gets my prescriptions in and has me out the door in fifteen minutes. The postal service of pharmacy, neither rain, sleet, or snow can stop the pharmacists from getting your prescriptions for you. Besides never having to wait, the pharmacists are friendly and go the extra mile. When I had concerns about a prescription interacting with another the pharmacist was honest and said she wasn't sure. She then got her google on and using the power of the Internet looked up my answer. When I first made the switch from Eagle to CVS the pharmacists filled all my medications first, and then not making me wait, called over to Giant Eagle to let them know. Getting your prescriptions filled in a timely matter can be the difference between feeling sick and feeling better. At CVS on Neil Ave, things are getting better all the time. read more

I've used this pharmacy since moving to central Ohio in 1999. They have always been friendly, qualified and on time. That being said, I just left because of a hugely inappropriate pharmacy tech. I am frequently in there but I do not need to be reminded of my exercise habits "did you bike here today?", my address "oh, you live over on...", seeing said person by my address etc. So, on to a different pharmacy... It is true that most CVS pharmacies have shorter wait times than most pharmacies...but the prices on some of the medications without insurances are usually much much higher. A $4 medication that is available at Kroger/Walmart/Giant Eagle will cost me $15 (generic copay) at CVS. I am willing to wait the extra time to save $11/month on my prescription. Not to mention the free antibiotics at kroger/giant eagle, which are not available at CVS. Also the front end of this store has merchandise and everything is usually much more expensive than what it costs at the Neil ave Giant Eagle next door. Why bother buying cereal, etc. at CVS when it is so much cheaper at giant eagle next door? read more

I love going to CVS to get emergency groceries at horrendous hours in the morning. Although I don't strive to do it, the workers there are really nice and understanding to the other students. Good placement near campus too! read more

Pharmacy is so slow. Nearly a one hour wait to get a prescription filled. They never can find me in their computer system even though I've been going there off and on for 15+ years. The store staff is always nice read more
