I love this CVS location. The woman who works up front named Janice is always extremely nice and super helpful. A little bit of kindness goes a long way. She makes it an enjoyable shopping experience. Also, the women in the pharmacy are super nice too. I I came in the store and masks are not required and I've had both of my vaccinations. When I checked out I received the most evil and unwelcoming look from an older woman named Katherine. She did not say hello she did not say one word to me and she basically threw the receipt in bag on the counter in a very rude way. Horrible customer service and whether you agree or not Katherine that people should have to wear a mask 24-7... it's not your place in customer service to treat customers that way for making the decision to not wear one when they have been vaccinated! It seems like Pharmacy's are on every street corner and CVS is one. You can not beat convenient, but if you get a CVS card you can save more here than the others. I was surprised also. I purchased $14.00 worth of items and with the card paid $8.54 total. You can go on line to register for the card. After you fill out the application, you are able to print out a temporary card until they send you the plastic one. If you are a bargain hunter and a CVS is near you, give them a try. They carry everything the other Pharmacy's do. You can $ave with the CVS card. read more

Extremely poorly-run pharmacy. Impossible to reach them by phone. Customer service is not a priority in any way, shape, or form.

There were about 40 women behind the counter at the RX and it took me 20 minutes to get a simple antibiotic. I didn't realize you had to write a paper on why you're giving out this medicine but she was clicking her keyboard, I'm sure making editorial comments at the seething customer! I usually get an attitude from the people in the pharmacy area. I've gotten. The wrong quality of my mess on several occasions. Today is Labor Day and I wasn't sure if the pharmacy would be open. The gate was down when I came in so I asked the woman up front. I asked the woman why no one was here yet if they were opening at 10. She gave me an attitude and said it's 9:49 and they can't clock in until 10 or they get written up and walked away while still talking to me. I am DONE with this place. I was extremely disappointed with the CVS Minute Clinic on HWY 70 in Clayton. I went there because they were the Veterans Administration (VA) contractor. I presented my VA credentials and received my vaccination so a few days later my wife went there as well a month later I was surprised to receive a bill for these shots stating our insurance did not cover these vaccinations. Additionally there were several problems: 1. They gave my wife the incorrect flu vaccine 2. We are both Medicare age in addition to my VA coverage so billing was incorrect. 3. They failed to send the immunization record to VA as per the contract I certainly will NOT trust them for a Covid test or vaccination! read more

I went in and this lady later found out it was Gracie. She was at first kind of nice seemed like she didn't want to be there. After a mess up Checking out my pictures into the computer at front desk, I was fine with because they fixed it. So I printed 150 pictures out, I have 7 extras printed and one that wasn't even mine! So I ask at this time in a nice way (before I got pissed off) I would like my money back. Yes if you counted them is wouldn't be 150 because it was a computer glitch...instead of saying "yes I'll do that" she invaded my privacy even when I asked her not too. I have worked in photo for over 5 years never heard of someone counting pictures when I said "don't look at them" and they did anyway or Gracie. While I was getting pissed up to the point I"m cursing at them because they are NOT RESPECTING MY WISHES, she also has to prove her point to me by interrupting me while I was trying to explain something (before I was cursing). She had the attitude of she's right and kept interrupting me and not respecting me as a person, made me feel so small my anger got worse I learned customers are right, well we have free will and I said not to look at my pictures. I understand looking on the computer screen, but she freaking counted them in front of me when I said "don't I'll count them". She was just pissing me off and said "NO I have to do this" In all of the years of photo industry I never counted pictures of others!!!!! Yes I said Bitch to her walking out I was mean, because she did not respect me as a person and violated my privacy. Interrupting someone is the most rudest thing to do especially in a retail setting. I asked for a manager and she said he wasn't here. Who runs a place with that kind of person at least I own up to my mistakes by getting pissed off, but she did NOT RESPECT ME AT ALL!!!!!! My granddaughter went in to pick up my prescription and the prescription for herself. Due to her appearance which was mistakenly thought she was a LGBTQIA's person ( she is not but that should not matter) she was extremely mistreated by a Spanish and white lady at the counter. They proceeded to tell her that her medicine could not be transferred. At the same time another pharmacy representative was on the line on speaker phone having the medication transferred. The middle aged white lady proceeded to push the medication in a bag at her and refused to give her a receipt. The current date and time was on the medication of that time proof it was just transferred. Even if it was not possible you don't have to be rude and cause a customer to cry or be upset. She stated get your service elsewhere and don't come back here. I do not intend to use CVS again. I have used CVS for years ( not at the Clayton location) but will not ever use CVS again! We will no longer fill our prescriptions here... Every single time we've filled prescriptions here lately we arrive to find out that they have yet to be filled. We are asked to come back later, often more than once for the exact same prescription, when they have had hours upon hours to fill the prescription. The line outside is often three cars or more deep, and the line inside is at least a 10 minute wait as well. I just don't understand how it can take so long to fill one prescription. read more

I had five refills left on a Walmart Rx. I wanted to try CVS. My wife was warily satisfied with CVS after a couple of minor snafus. (Example: they'd given her a 90 day supply of an Rx for four consecutive months, even after numerous calls and visits. Once, she even counted out a thirty day supply for them when she picked up the meds.) I should've taken the hint. Day one, 10:30am. I gave them the bottle and info for my profile, got the "Welcome to CVS" text and was told it would be ready in the afternoon. At 4:30pm, my info and bottle had disappeared, and they had only my name. No notes, no clues. They said it would be fixed by morning. Day two, morning. Not fixed. They said it would be ready later. At 3pm, no Rx, no notes, no clue. They asked for the doctor's number. I gave it. They said it would be fixed by morning. Day three, 3pm. The pharmacist said, "The doctor never sent anything." I asked, "Do prescriptions get lost here regularly?" He said, "Nothing is lost. There is no active Rx at Walgreens." I said, "You had the bottle. The Rx is from Walmart, not Walgreens." He said, "Well, Walmart, then. Your doctor needs to send the Rx." I thought calling Walmart would confuse them and since the doctor's office was five minutes away, I'd go ask the doctor to send the Rx to CVS. I found the doctor's office had closed at noon, so CVS probably hadn't called all day, after initially calling the wrong pharmacy. I then drove ten minutes to Walmart and refilled the Rx in fifteen minutes at half the CVS price. I'm sure there are good people at CVS. In fact, one woman offered suggestions to the other techs, but the pharmacists's attitude was too poor, the procedures too loose and the reading comprehension too lax to trust them with any aspect of my health. Never again, CVS. I'll tell this story to anyone, any time health comes up in conversation. read more

We are ready to transfer all our families prescriptions away from this CVS. We have been using them for years and have always been happy. There are still a few employees left that know how to treat customers but very few. In the last 6 to 8 months my whole family has seen a change. This customer service is unacceptable. Honestly, the worst cvs ever made. Every month I come to pick my prescription they're always doing the opposite of helping me. It's frustrating having to wait 30-45 mins in line to pick up one thing. Keep in mind it's ready since they messaged me. They're very inconsiderate with other people's time. People have work/school to attend. Update: I stopped going here and went back to Walgreens as soon as they started covering my Scripts again. The Pharmacy Drive thru wait time is unbelievably long (what could they possibly be doing??), and they kept replacing my prescription with another brand which gives me bad side effects. I worked with the Pharmacist on this almost monthly and she'd always be really nice and try to get it fixed, but it would happen again the next month. On top of that, they never have everything on my list in the store, so I end up putting what I have back on the shelves and going to another store where I can get EVERYTHING on my list. I used to be mostly happy with the CVS pharmacy. Seems like an awful lot of people counting pills ignoring the line waiting for service. They can not handle the amount of scripts they fill. Two scripts asked for refill and said I could pick up in two hours. When I went to pick up they said they were backed up and needed 30 to 45 more minutes. We went to eat dinner to kill the time. When I went back an hour later was told still processing and to come back on 30 minutes. I think its time for a new pharmacy. With that being said the pharmacists who usually are there (two men) have always been more than helpful and the daytime staff is good. Just don't go afternoon and evening. Don't care. Bad customer service. Reading reviews I can see I am not alone. read more

We were loyal CVS customers in Raleigh, NC because of the excellent service we received there for over 10 years. About a year ago we moved to Clayton, NC and because we had received such good service in Raleigh we transferred our prescriptions to the Clayton store. Let me tell you that all CVS stores are the same. The store here is very slow and some not all of the people who work in the pharmacy are very rude. You drop off your prescriptions and agree on a time to return to pick them up and they may or may not be ready. I left Walmart and went to CVS because of poor service. Now it appears I will be taking my business elsewhere again. I have never written a review for a business but this place is so bad I felt like I had to. read more

I tried to fill a script and wait for it last night but they told me the earliest it would be ready would be the following morning. I came back this evening and they told me they had to order it so they would call around and ask if any other pharmacies had it in stock. They should have notified me of this during the day before I showed up. After calling around, the Knightdale CVS did have it in stock. However, they didn't transfer the script when they were on the phone with them. They handed me a phone number and told ME to call the Knightdale store and have that store call them back to transfer it! I called the knightdale CVS, they called Clayton to send it and told me it would be 30 min. I got to knightdale and they told me the Clayton CVS still hadn't sent it. The Knightdale store called them back immediately and got it filled within 5 min. Additionally, the Clayton store had closed their drive thru window. Both stores had the same number of employees on staff in the pharmacy. This was just a result of the level of incompetence at the Clayton store. read more

My daughter who spent $130 cash and had upper respiratory infection plus additional symptoms was only given a prescription for cough medicine. No antibiotics. Drop your meds off here if you want to experience gross incompetence and a major headache. I pulled all my RX's years ago. With my situation, they wouldn't listen to how I spell my name and my RX's would end up on another account. I literally had to go in, every time, to verify that it was ME and not some other account they put my RX's in. THEY LOST ONE of my RX's and questioned MY sanity. They literally had to review tapes to see if my car pulled into their drive through because the guy I handed my RX to was like...no ... no... you must have taken it somewhere else. That dumb move on their part was literally it. They found it btw... on the wrong account... making me late for work. Now with my mother. They can't get ANYTHING right. First they tell me she has no RX on file. Then they needlessly made me get an MPOA. Then I would go when they told me it would be filled. Only to come in again and it not be filled. Then I would start the circle all over again. Not to mention, almost aLL of them has had attitudes as if I am an inconvenience to them. Like.. I showed up at this store 20 times and called 50 times to get RX's straight and I'm the inconvenience? I called one time and they were handling my account, the girl gets back on the phone and says we are closed now... you will have to finish handling this in the morning. WTF. Rude! Either way, now that I am MPOA (for NO reason), I will be pulling ALL of her meds from this store. If it were up to me, I would fire almost all of the employees and restart. read more

My blood is still boiling after an experience i had with this pharmacy last week. I have had my meds filled here for at least 10 years, i also pick up needed items at least once a week from this location. After being prescribed a cough medicine with Hydrocodone in it for pneumonia, the staff treated my daughter (who tried to pick the med up before closing) like a criminal and staff threatened to call the police. Granted, she had left her license in her car and was driving mine, so that was an issue. My husband made it back in 10 min to pick it up before closing. The next day when i realized i had an awful reaction to the med. that the hospital gave me, i called to find out a) how to properly dispose of the med and b) how to get a replacement med filled knowing it would most likely also be another narcotic for pain. The pharmacy staff was very rude after asking my name. They told me that they cant dispose of it and the pharmacist told me he would not be filling any other medicine for me. Quote, "I won't touch another medicine for you". Look my profile up- see how many times i have EVER had a narcotic filled. I am so angry at how i have been treated, i have moved my business to Walgreens. They had no issue with filling this med prescribed. I called the CVS coorporate office to file a complaint. I have just gone through a horrible illness and the last thing i needed was my pharmacy of 10 years to give me or my family a hard time about filling a med. Not everybody is a criminal. My elderly mother came to visit us from Virginia this past weekend. She arrived on Saturday morning and discovered that afternoon that had forgotten her medication. She uses CVS, and always has for as long as I can remember. So I immediately called the CVS on HWY 70 since it is the closest to my home. I spoke to a man in the pharmacy who assured me they could fill one of her medicines that day and the other would be available today (Tuesday). I told him that she had just filled the one prescription and asked if we could just get an emergency supply if nothing else. Again, he assured me that both prescriptions could be filled. I went that evening and picked up the one prescription and I went back this evening to pick up the other. Well, I was told by the pharmacy tech that there was no prescription ready for us. When I explained the situation and what the man had told me, the tech still insisted there was nothing there for us and she could not help us. A man then stepped up and had her check the computer again, and then he informed us quite rudely that the prescription was just filled and the insurance would not fill it again until next month. I again explained that we knew that the prescription had been filled recently in VA, and that we understood if it could not be filled again. I then asked if they could provide just an emergency of a few days worth to make it until she returns home this weekend. The man rudely told me there was nothing they could do about "the situation". Now if he had been the least bit apologetic or even just compassionate or kind about any of this, I would have probably just said thanks anyway and left. But he was anything but professional, and acted as if we were lying about what the other man in the pharmacy originally told us and felt that we were wrong to be upset in any way. I plan on NEVER returning to that store for anything. Luckily, I am a Walgreens customer and always will be....this experience solidifies that relationship for sure! Now my mother wants to move her prescriptions to Walgreens back home, so I guess there will be something good to come from this bad experience. read more

If I had the option to give no stars, I would. This may be a lot to read, but I will absolutely NOT TOLERATE being treated like a DRUG ADDICT. Today I had two prescriptions filled at CVS in Clayton- one antibiotic and one non-narcotic pain killer after having my toe cut open at the local urgent care. I received my prescriptions, and when I was asked if I had any questions for the pharmacist, I asked about the instructions for the pain medicine. "TAKE 1 TO 2 TABLETS BY MOUTH EVERY 6 TO 8 HOURS FOR 7 DAYS" The prescription was only written for 15 tablets, so I had questions... do the math. He told me to take "as needed" -I understood and went home. When I got home, I noticed there were only 10 of the pain tablets in the bottle, but the antibiotics were the right quantity. CVS circles the quantity, in ink, on certain medications when they are double checked to make sure the correct amount is distributed. BY THE WAY ***A few years ago, I got a hydrocodone prescription written for 20 tablets, and there were 30 in the bottle, and the quantity was NOT circled. I reported this. The quantity for my prescription today, 15, was also not circled.*** When I called the pharmacy to get this worked out, I was asked if it was circled, and I told them it wasn't, and I was then transferred to the pharmacists, who said something like, "yeah you were in here questioning the instructions and quantity, and we definitely put 15 in the bottle" (as if he was implying that I was trying to obtain more than what I was prescribed by a doctor); to that I said, "well someone there must have taken 5 out because I only have 10." I also mentioned the incident in the past with the hydrocodone (because I took pictures of the hydrocodone bottle with the quantity NOT circled and the pills that were in it). I asked him if I should head back up there, and he told me, "no, not until I call you back." I went anyway because I knew I was going to get the rest of my prescription since I had done nothing wrong. When I got there, I waited for about 15 minutes before he finally came out and asked for my bottle. He then told me that he checked security cameras and everyone had done their job right, but since the quantity wasn't circled, he would go ahead and give me 5 more, as if it was MY FAULT and he was doing me some generous favor, like I "pulled one over on them this time." I emailed the hydrocodone pictures to myself from my laptop so I could show him, and when I tried to show him he refused to acknowledge them and went on to say "we have never had a miscount with hydrocodone" and turned his back and walked away from me. Now there is some kind of note in my profile saying to make sure the quantity is always circled for this customer, as if that is not the policy already. I am very offended and this is wrong on so many levels. My boyfriend is a state police officer (who doesn't condone recreational drug use), they have NO reason to believe I was lying, and I will now be seen as the girl who is trying to get more drugs. This review is only the beginning. I plan on going as far as I have to go to be sure this is settled in a way that I am satisfied with because I am not satisfied with only getting my entire prescription because everyone did their job and I supposedly got lucky somehow because someone didn't circle the quantity. read more
