I really wish I could give absolutely zero stars. Absolutely shockingly bad customer service in the drive through. Workers were mocking customers and the wait was ridiculously long. They have no organization. All the staff at this time were women and they were insolent, rude, disrespectful and didn't look interested in helping or interested in actually working at this location, especially what it looked like, was the lead pharmacist in the white coat. She was extremely rude and was seen mocking a customer. The woman in front of me was also complaining about customer service, will not return. read more

I came to Walgreens specifically to pick up Christmas cards that my wife had created. They were already paid for and I was there to pick up. Upon entering, the store was fairly clean and well organized. I walked to the pickup counter and the nice gentleman asked for my last name and then obliterated it while trying to look up my order. Eventually I left with my cards and they were exactly what was requested. Though I was there for a minute or two, the staff was jovial and had good intentions. It's truly a shame this store gets such negative reviews. My wife and I use this store exclusively and always get great service. Sure there are days when they may be a bit slow when they're extremely busy, but I've never experienced rudeness. Then staff goes out of their way to correct problems that may occur...usually no fault of their own but the insurance companies. I have always had great service. This review is specifically for the company that processes the film for Walgreens NOT Photo Dept. staff. I brought 3 rolls of film to be developed on 2/13/25. I was given a pick up date of 2/20/25. On 3/17/25 I requested my film to be returned because I was tired of waiting & not getting any answers of when to expect my prints.. I was told that I couldn't do anything until 3 weeks from their RECEIPT of the film. Today is 3/20/25 & still no prints or rolls returned. The Walgreens photo staff has been GREAT. It's the company who has the contract for film developing that is the problem. Sounds like they process film when they "feel like it" instead of any kind of schedule. Needless to say I will NEVER take a roll of film there again. Walgreen's please consider talking to this contractor or find another one who provides the same customer service that your store strives for and reaches! read more

Love this Walgreens. Store is organized, staff is kind. I also do have a health condition, so there have been many of ER visits late at night or random early early morning needs for Gatorade to rehydrate or ibuprofen to bring down fevers (and other random necessities). It's extremely helpful that it's open 24 hours a day, and that no matter what time you're there you're greeted with polite staff. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is because they have two lanes for pharmacy drive up needs and only ever use the one. The wait can be kinda long at rush hour times. read more

I've been coming here since 2021. Within the past year the service has gotten worse and worse. Their app claims I don't have insurance (which they have on file) so that holds my prescription. I've called multiple times telling them to put a note on my file to fill it anyways (which was never done). This last time was the final straw for me. I waited on hold for 45 mins to get hung up on... to then speak with Joe who said he was putting my prescription through. Behold I get to the drive thru and it had not been filled, to then find out I have to get brand name which is 300$ more expensive. No resolution or apology at all. I also called to speak with upper management and I still have yet to receive a call back. I'm leaving the country... there is no excuse for this. Definitely not for a medication I need on a day to day basis. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WITHOUT A DOUBT. I will be posting this on every platform and BBB. read more

I stopped purchasing my prescriptions and most everything else from Walgreens because their prescription prices are 10-15% higher than their competitors within a 25 mile radius. Their customer service is sub-par at best on a good day. To any FurBaby parents out there that need to buy Insulin for your fur babies due to diabetes they want $ 162.00 per vial. Walmart is $23.00 per vial. Really?????? Walgreens doesn't deserve our money. There are too many options out there to pick from and not be gouged and talked down to. read more

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars then I ABSOLUTELY would. The ONLY reason I have this pharmacy is for my children, in case we have ER trips and need medicine in the middle of the night. But GOD FORBID there being an emergency, this Walgreens is the absolute slowest Walgreens I have ever been to. I constantly have trouble filling medicine here, and I honestly think it's because people don't want to do their job correctly. Whenever I send a request to fill my prescription through the app, it is never fulfilled without me calling the pharmacy first and even then I still run into problems. My pick up was for 6 pm this evening, so i got in line at that time. It's now 8 PM, and my medication is not ready after waiting in line and getting to the window. Partner went in, cashier Anna Marie told her to go to the car and get change because she didnt want to count. Then asked her to donate, my partner said no. She is unemployed, and lost her job. She has every right to say no without judgement. Well, the cashier had the audacity to say "some people are more kinder than others." First of all, as a person who has worked in customer service for the last 20 years, and I still do, this is not ok. Your customers provide that paycheck. Go somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE! It took me 3 tries to get my husbands antibiotic that urgent care sent over. The first time they said they didn't have it so urgent care sent again. The second time they said they didn't have it and so urgent care called to verify it was received. The third time I went through the drive-through at around 12:45pm EST on 12/07/2023 and encountered a very rude woman that said his insurance wasn't on file and that I needed to pull around or come in because insurance rebills take a while. I went in, presented the information and was out the door in less than 3 mins. The person working the counter was polite and I had absolutely no issues. Aside from the delightful woman at the counter this Walgreens is horrendous. We avoid it if possible at all cost. Too bad it's the only one in Clayton, NC. I have moved all of our other meds to mail order due to our experiences here. read more

Walgreens changes suppliers of medicines based on price. Each time they change suppliers, which seems to happen every couple of months, the appearance of the pill changes. As a result, you get used to the appearance of your pills changing frequently. One month, the medicine is a large white round pill. The next month, the medicine is a blue triangular pill. The next month, the medicine is a green round pill. After a few months of these changes, when walgreens makes a mistake and gives you the wrong medicine, you are unlikely to catch the problem, cause you will think that walgreens changed suppliers again. This is extremely dangerous , because walgreens works the crap out of their workers and overworked workers are going to make mistakes. A new wrinkle - a pharmacist told me that walgreens policy is to never fill a prescription early. This means you will have to run out of medicine before they will refill a prescription. Further, you get ripped off on prices if you buy anything in the store. Their prices on everything is ridiculous. For example, they sell small container of haagen-daaz for 5.99, which is 50% more than walmart sells it. If you buy ANYTHING at walgreens, you pay too much! Today, the pharmacist decided that she was not going to fill one of my prescriptions. I am moving my prescriptions. I have had enough of Walgreen crap. read more

Worst Walgreens ever. Extremely slow. They lose prescriptions and have been told that prescriptions have expired that have not.

Please spend some time training your employees on customer service. Specifically Jakaiah in the pharmacy. She is rude and disrespectful to her co workers and to customers. A few days a go, I stood in line watching how she talked to other workers and other customers in line and I had an equally displeasing experience with the loud mouth know it all. The most bothersome part was how she spoke to an elderly man, he just couldn't hear what she was saying. She was talking very fast and not clearly annunciating her words and then she got frustrated with him when he didn't understand her. Understanding insurance benefits is hard enough for the elderly, much less having a smart mouth kid disrespect him the way she did. Please educate your team members on the importance of customers. If we all stop coming to your pharmacy - they won't have jobs! Smiling and kindness and respect go a long way! Most everyone is at the pharmacy because we don't feel good, we don't also need attitude .... we need compassion and kindness. Eventually another person came and stepped in to help the elderly gentleman with his situation and was abel to easily explain to him his question. It just took MUCH longer than it should have and the drama and attitude was unnecessary - for ALL OF US! read more

This place is a damn disaster ..I sat and waited for my prescription to be filled for an entire hour after I called them and they said it was ready within that whole hour I watched 6 people come in and every single one of them had an issue with their order . Clayton Walgreens is terrible . I see the signs hanging around about how they care about our health ! Laughable !!! I have used them for 10 years since my kids doctor office is one mile away . I have paid holy hell for 10 years . I have been texted medicine is ready then drive there wait in the long lines just to get to the window to be told to circle around the building and get back in line again .what !! This has happened many times . My kid is on 6 prescriptions a month . After years and years of drama and I mean drama trying to get his meds from Walgreens consistently i decided to have Raleigh neurology pharmacy mail his medication to me . I still unfortunately use walgreen when it's an emergency . Yesterday my sons grandma took him to the doctor again 3rd time over his month long ear infection . His canals were so swollen they were closed up ! She was waiting at McDonald's for medicine to have time to be filled . I told her I would call To be sure no issues with the medication and to see if they could Expedite the fill . Now when you Call the local number for Walgreens apparently it goes to their call center . Okay well they never answered he phone before so I was thinking this was a good idea . The sweet lady from Walgreens call center told me one of my sons medication was not going to be covered . I thought the pharmacist could help me figure that out and maybe do a over ride by calling the insurance company and getting authorization. I was worried about his ears being so swollen the canal was closed up and asked to speak to the pharmacist to see if she could do this . The call center women tried her hardest for two darn hours trying to get them to pick up the phone . They hung up on her 4 times . She even called the store manager who also hung up on her . She had me on hold and was clicking back and forth telling me she was trying to get then pharmacy on the phone . I was on the phone with the call center October 01,2019 from about 4:00-6:00pm waiting to get connected to ask the pharmacist a question about my sick sons medication not going through . I finally hung up and kept trying myself . I called the store part and asked for a manger . I kept pushing until they put this female pharmacist on the ohone after my two hour struggle I asked her about the medication issue and let her know I was on hold with the call center for two hours waiting for the pharmacy to pick up . They let my sons doctor office close when I could have asked for a different medicine from the doctor . My son had to suffer all night last night with no medicine due to Walgreens negligence! The women tried to blame the call center which was a damn lie ! I was on the phone with the call center for two hours with this women trying her hardest to get Clayton Walgreens to pick up . They hung up on her 4 times ! This poor customer service was not the call center fault !! They tried to get the local Walgreens pharmacy to pick up the phone . She tried everything including calling the darn store part of Walgreens manager . My son is autistic and was having extreme ear pain and behavioral issues due to the pain . My sons grandma had to take him inside sick and try to get his medication while I was on hold I texted her and said she would have to take him inside due to their incompetence not answering the phone . She had to take him inside and wait with a 183 pound autistic 16 year old boy in pain . He did run around some screaming when he first got there . They told her his drops where not covered ( of coarse I knew that from being on hold with the call center trying to get through for two hours ) I was texting his Grandma while I was on hold . I told her to go ahead and pick up the 50.00 drops I would pay for it . My son is hurting with this month long infection so I wanted him to get better . They tell her okay and then after waiting for hours they take another 15 min they come out there and tell her they don't have it at all !!!!! This place is just incompetent and they all need to be fired ! I have suffered and I mean suffered dealing with this Walgreens and I plan on never going back !!!!! You All suck !!!! read more

Tried to order pet prescriptions from the Hwy 70 Garner NC pharmacy location. The price quoted for a medication with a ​discount was 40 percent higher at this location than another competing pharmacy. As for customer service, it is lacking and nearly non-existant​ in the pharmacy section. Overall, not a pleasant experience. Plenty of parking but difficult to exit because of rushing highway traffic. I would recommend NOT using the drive-thru​ as it is painfully slow. Perhaps another Walgreens location may be beneficial until this location improves...if there is any hope for improvement? read more

I have had to change my review because the staff has gotten a lot better over the years from what we have seen. This is the closest place to us for prescriptions or last minute items needed. We are probably here about 3-4 times a week. Just like any pharmacy it takes forever to get your prescriptions however they have pay ahead in store and it speeds things up. Also people don't realize how the lanes outside the pharmacy work which slows things down a bit as well. read more

Yeh - this Wal-greens sucks. It says prescription pick-up but it's actually everything, consults, flu shots, you name it they have 1 technician doing it all and she has no clue how to work the computer. This is a COMPLETE goat rodeo - avoid like the plague!!!!! So I went back to try the drive-thru for prescription pickup. I was second in line. OK I waited 10 minutes for that person to process but I figured once I'm up front, 60 seconds I'm done. "I'll be a minute" says the, I don't know what to call them, waste of oxygen seems harsh, if accurate. So 10 minutes later I drove off, no prescription in hand. We must boycott this location. It is a cultural and societal imperative that this pharmacy be driven out of business. If Capitalism and the free market achieves nothing else then it must be to drive this "business" into the ground and ensure that it is eradicated, stamped from the face of the earth. I utilize the option Walgreens Pharmacy offers, which is to have your medications shipped to you. I've been out of my medication for heart failure for weeks and when I checked the tracking today, it has not been scanned by FedEx. So it's been MIA since 8/3. Today is now the 15th. Courtney was great in trying to assist me but there was only so much she could do. Even if they reissue the RX, I now have my identifiable Hipaa data out there floating around which is a huge no-no. So now I have even bigger concerns than just my health. Best advice, don't trust the shipping option bc regardless of who drops the ball, it's the patient who suffers. read more

This is a pretty typical Walgreens. The location is pretty convenient, and they have some good bargains, especially when things go on sale. They have some medicinal products that we can't seem to find anywhere else, so we'll keep coming back. Don't be fooled by the map--this store is on Highway 70, not highway 42! read more

This location refused to fill my prescription. When I tried to have it transferred to another pharmacy, they kept me and the pharmacist on hold many times. One time the new pharmacy was hung up on. A transfer should standard practice and this location is not very helpful. While recovering, this should not be something people have to struggle with. read more

WORST PHARMACY THERE IS HAD MANY dissatisfied occasions one being telling you that your prescription would be ready in 30 minutes you get to the store and then they tell you they don't have it in stock or that they don't have it ready and that you would sit down and you wait another 30 minutes for them to tell you that oh it won't be ready for an hour or so with such negative energy my other time is I get pain medication and my doctor writes it so that I'm able to pick it up at certain times well I went in the pharmacist that I saw was absolutely the worst she tried to tell me that it wasn't 30 days I literally pulled out my phone and counted the days to her and she told me that it didn't matter she was the pharmacist and she was going to choose not to fill it and that if I wanted it fixed I need to call my doctor when I went the next morning I explained the situation to the other pharmacist who I will say was very nice her name is Cindy and she told me that she did not understand why the other pharmacist did not fill my prescription because it was due and I could have picked it up!!!! There are several several different things that have happened to me in this pharmacy you get judged for getting pain medication but they don't seem to understand I'm a chronic pain patient so yeah I take pain medication to help me be able to have a functional life I don't need your judgment I don't need your attitude I just need you to do your job and be nice be polite and have understanding that just because people get pain medication doesn't mean that their addicts!!!! If I could give this place a zero I would give this place to zero so glad I moved my prescriptions over to bedingfield drug and Clayton North Carolina these women and men are so awesome treat you with such respect and always always look after you and take care of you in the best way possible!!!! read more

I am so afraid to use this Walgreens pharmacy. I take a very expensive (600 bucks per fill with insurance!) Medication that requires refrigeration. Not refrigeration after use...refrigeration all the time. One refill the medication was not refrigerated and luckily I caught that when they pulled it from a drawer. The second time it was given to me on a crumpled bag instead of the box it's usually in. The box had gotten wet so they destroyed it and put it in this bag which also obviously was wet. They refused to give me a fresh box...even at 600.00! Had to complain to a manager to get a fresh clean refill. I called my Dr and had my script transferred to CVS. I am too afraid to take any medication that is handled so carelessly read more

Worst Walgreens I've ever been to. Transferred 2 prescriptions, told they were ready, picked them up only to get home and find out only 1 was in the bag. And they hadn't used coupon. Called them they tried to blame it on the prescription don't bring called in, only they were the ones requesting the transfer. Didn't let me know it was ready for 2 days! Even after I'd called to check on it. Finally went back to get money back from coupon that wasn't applied and to pick up other prescription. Only they wouldn't honor coupon! All this after I had 2 new prescriptions transferred to them. So a week later I have both meds and no coupon honored! Never again. read more

Worst place ever. Pharmacy is so understaffed it is amazing. Never in my life have I been told my Rx will be ready in an hour and 12 hours later (this is a 24/7) pharmacy IT IS STILL NOT READY. My child had pink eye and needed the medicine. Several hours after I walked out and was trying to transfer to a different walgreens they realized they were out of stock of it. HORRIBLE customer service at the Clayton NC Walgreens pharmacy tonight. I had two prescriptions, one was ready, the 1st pharmacist said to give her 5 minutes and she would have the other one ready. Almost an hour later I asked (I was pleasant) and was told it was not ready by the pharmacy cashier who had an attitude. (I had noticed her being snippy to others while waiting) I asked why they did not just tell me to come back tomorrow which would have been fine instead of me waiting for no reason? I asked her name (her name badge was turned over) after two requests she said "Lynette". I asked again what was causing this and what I needed to do? (no raised voice), just wanted to make it clear I was not happy....Come back tomorrow? Change pharmacies? Her response was less pleasant, stated with a definite bad attitude whatever I wanted to do. You know, my several thousand dollars of business to this store is not going to make or break them....and I don't really expect too much, but I refuse to spend my time and money for bad attitude on top of bad service. the store was not busy at all, and it would have only taken one moment to say it was not going to be ready, come back tomorrow instead of watching me sit there an hour! When you go in you can tell how your visit is going to go by the manager on duty. The hourly employees are wonderful, they have some great ones who would probably be better off running the place. One manager in particular doesn't answer pages when called for assistance. I don't think he understands what a sense of urgency is. The pharmacy gets very busy so don't expect to drop off and pick up without a wait. Everybody is very friendly. Overall, they run a sound operation. Prefer them over CVS. read more
